Objective : This research has been conducted to comparative analysis of anti-inflammatory effects to suggest a usefulness of ethanol extracts fromGentianae sino-ornata(GSO) as a functional material for inflammatory activities.Methods : Cell viability was measured by neutral red (NR) assay, and nitric oxide (NO) production in RAW264.7 cells was monitored by measuring the nitrite content in culture medium. The expressions of cyclooxigenase-2 (COX-2) was determined by western blot analysis, and Inducible nitric oxide syntase (iNOS) and cytokine were determined by reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).Results : When the GSO extract was added the concentration of 5-20 ㎍/㎕, the viability of cells was maintained 90% or more at all levels. NO production was suppressed by the treatment of GSO in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells. GSO inhibited the expression of iNOS, COX-2, IL-1βand IL-6 in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells.Conclusions: From this results, we consider that GSO can be a useful therapeutic and preventive approach to various inflammatory diseases as a functional material for inflammatory activities.

고효율의 물 분해 시스템은 수소 발생 반응(HER)과 산소 발생 반응(OER) 각각에서의 촉매로 인한 전기화학적 반응에서의 효율로 인해 향상되는 높은 과전압의 감소가 수반되어야 한다. 그 중에서도 전이 금속 기반의 화합물(산화물, 황화물, 인화물, 그리고 질화물)은 현재 상용되고 있는 귀금속을 대체할 촉매 재료로써 주목받고 있다. 본 연구에서, 우리는 FESEM 분석을 통해 최적의 단분산된 Co<sub>3</sub>[Co(CN)<sub>6</sub>]<sub>2</sub> PBAs를 합성하고 XRD, FT-IR 분석을 통하여 결정성을 확인하고 TG-DTA를 통해 PBAs의 열적 거동을 확인하였다. 그리고 합성된 최적의 Co<sub>3</sub>[Co(CN)<sub>6</sub>]<sub>2</sub> PBAs를 열처리해서 단분산된 Co<sub>3</sub>O<sub>4</sub> 나노 큐브를 합성하였고 XRD를 통해 이의 결정성을 확인하고 OER 측정을 진행하였다. 최종적으로 합성된 Co<sub>3</sub>O<sub>4</sub> 나노 큐브는 10 mA·cm<sup>-2</sup>의 전류 밀도에서 312 mV의 낮은 과전압과 96.6 mV·dec<sup>-1</sup>의 낮은 Tafel slope을 보인다. The high efficient water splitting system should involve the reduction of high overpotential value, which was enhanced by the electrocatalytic reaction efficiency of catalysts, during the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) and the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) reaction, respectively. Among them, transition metal-based compounds (oxides, sulfides, phosphides, and nitrides) are attracting attention as catalyst materials to replace noble metals that are currently commercially available. Herein, we synthesized optimal monodisperse Co<sub>3</sub>[Co(CN)<sub>6</sub>]<sub>2</sub> PBAs by FESEM, and confirmed crystallinity by XRD and FT-IR, and thermal behavior of PBAs via TG-DTA. Also, we synthesized monodispersed Co<sub>3</sub>O<sub>4</sub> nanocubes by calcination of Co<sub>3</sub>[Co(CN)<sub>6</sub>]<sub>2</sub> PBAs, confirmed the crystallinity by XRD, and proceeded OER measurement. Finally, the synthesized Co<sub>3</sub>O<sub>4</sub> nanocubes showed a low overpotential of 312 mV at a current density of 10 mAㆍcm<sup>-2</sup> with a low Tafel plot (96.6 mVㆍdec<sup>-1</sup>).

Sialic acid-binding Ig-like lectin (Siglec)은 sialic acid와 결합하며 주로 혈구형성계의 세포 및 일부 백혈구에서 발현된다. Sialoadhesin (Siglec-1)은 일부 큰포식세포 아형에서 제한적으로 발현되며 탄수화물 말단에 위치하는 sialic acid 잔기를 인식하기 때문에 selectin과 같이 sialic acid를 함유하는 구조를 가진 분자와 특이적으로 결합한다. Sialoadhesin은 생쥐 및 흰쥐의 림프기관에 위치하는 큰포식세포 일부 아형에서 발현되며, 이는 흰쥐에서 ED3 단클론항체와 특이적으로 결합한다는 사실이 밝혀졌다. 본 연구에서는 흰쥐의 중층편평상피에서 ED3 항원 즉, sialoadhesin의 발현 특성과 잠재적인 기능을 분석하고자, 흰쥐에 cyclophosphamide (150 mg/kg)을 투여한 다음 1일, 3일, 1주, 2주 및 4주 후에 혀, 식도 및 피부를 절취하여 ED3 항체를 이용한 면역조직화학적 염색을 실시하였다. 본 연구 결과 정상 흰쥐의 혀, 식도 및 피부의 중층편평상피의 기저세포들이 sialoadhesion을 발현함을 관찰할 수 있었다. 그리고 cyclophosphamide를 투여하여 상피 특히 상피기저세포에 손상을 가한 후 회복되는 과정에서 상피기저세포들에서 sialoadhesin의 발현이 증가된다는 사실을 증명할 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구의 결과는 중층편평상피의 기저세포에서 sialoadhesin이 중요한 역할을 할 것이라는 사실을 시사한다 Sialoadhesin (Sn) expression has been demonstrated on murine and rat macrophages in lymphatic organs and is recognized by the monoclonal antibody (mAb) ED3 in the rat. Sialoadhesin (Siglec-1), the ED3 antigen in the rat, is a subtype of sialic acid-binding Ig-like lectins (Siglecs) that bind specifically to sialic acid-containing structures such as selectins and was originally identified as the sheep erythrocyte receptor (SER) responsible for sialic acid-dependent binding of native sheep erythrocytes (SE) to resident murine bone marrow macrophages in rosetting assays. The aim of the present study was to investigate the expression and potential function of sialoadhesin in the stratified squamous epithelium of the rat tongue, esophagus and skin. The expression of sialoadhesin was demonstrated by immunohistochemical analysis with the mAb ED3. This study demonstrated not only the presence of sialoadhesin on the basal epithelial cells of the stratified epithelium in normal rat tongue, esophagus and skin but also its upregulated expression on these cells in CY-treated rats. The results of the present study shed some light on the potential function of sialoadhesin in the basal epithelial cells of the stratified epithelium. Further studies may provide more insight into the role of sialoadhesin in the epithelial stem cells.

In this study, we investigated the effect of ethanol extracts from Gentianae scabrae bunge (GSB) on the activities of antioxidant, whitening and anti-inflammation. Viability of cells was measured by neutral red (NR) assay, and inhibitory effects of GSB on melanin synthesis was determined the melanin production in B16F10 cells. The expression level of matrix metalloproteinase-1 (MMP-1) in media was analyzed by ELISA kit, and nitric oxide (NO) production in RAW264.7 cells was monitored by measuring the nitrite content in culture medium. GSB showed highly efficacy in 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging activity, and significantly reduced melanin synthesis in B16F10 cells. MMP-1 production in UVB-stimulated human dermal fibroblast (HDF) cells was inhibited by GSB treatments. NO production was suppressed by the treatment of GSB in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells. From this results, it was indicated that GSB could be utilized as anti-aging and whitening cosmetic ingredients.

Objective : This study was a covariance structural analysis to identify korean medicine health promotion behavior by the general characteristics of the subjects and build a predictive model and theoretical framework based on Pender's health promotion model(1996) and related literature reviews. Method : A hypothetical model was consisted of 8 theoretical variables and 27 measured variables. Related variables included Individual Characteristics and Experience, Behavior-specific cognitions and affect and Behavioral outcome. The data was collected from 802 middle and old-aged people living in Seoul and Gyeong gi province through structured questionnaires by face to face interviews between February and March, 2014. SAS ver. 9.1 and AMOS 18.0 programs were used for the data analysis. Results : Difference in the verification of Korean medicine health promotion behavior by the general characteristics, Older people who are male, with higher economic status, no chronic disease or with diabetes, no smoking, no drinking, with more exercise showed significantly higher scores, but education level has no difference. 15 paths were statistically significant among 16 paths on the direct effect, 6 paths were statistically significant among 9 paths on the indirect effect in the hypothetical model. The greatest impact variable on Korean medicine health promotion behavior was perceived self-esteem. Also, the findings showed that the higher perceived social support, perceived health status, previous Korean medicine health promotion behavior, community environment, perceived benefit and the lower perceived barrier had a significant effect on Korean medicine health promotion behavior. Conclusion : This research model has an empirical validity as the variables of this study verified their effects and significances. Therefore, the understanding of Korean medicine health promotion behavior can be increased and the utilization will be higher when seeking a comprehensive health promotion plan. Also, a strategy can be utilized the strategy for Korean medicine health promotion behavior.
홍삼과 어유(魚油) 복합식이에 의한 UV-유도 광노화 억제효과

Objective : UV irradiatiion causes skin-aging involving coarse wrinkles, thickning, dyspigmentation, and rough skin surface. This study was aimed to elucidate the anti-winkle activity of complex diet of Korean red ginseng (RG) and fish oil (FO) on UV-induced Photoaging. Methods : To investigated photo-protective effects of Korean red ginseng and fish oil on UV-induced damaged skins, SKH hairless female mice were randomly divided into six groups [control, UV, UV/RG, UV/FO, UV/RG/FO(low), UV/RG/FO(high)]and orally administered three times a week respectively. UV radiation was applied to the backs of the mice three times a week for 8 weeks. Expressions of matrix metalloproteinase (MMP)-3, MMP-13 and tissue inhibitor matrix metalloproteinase (TIMP)-1 in skin were measured by immunohistochemical staining. Results : In this study, UVB-induced epidermal hypertropy was diminished by RG group or FO group or complex group of RG and FO. Expression levels of MMP-3 and MMP-13 were reduced and expression level of TIMP-1 was increased by RG group or FO group or complex group of RG and FO. Especially MMP-3 and MMP-13 were markedly reduced by diet of FO and complex diet of RG and FO compared with untreated group. Conclusions : This results suggest that complex diet of RG and FO have a anti-wrinkle activity on UV-induced photo-aging and intrinsic aging.

2022년은 세계 최초로 지상파 UHD 본방송이 2017년에 시작되고 5년이 경과한 시점이다. 이제는 과거의 추진 경과를 살펴보고 기술의 발전과 미디어 환경 변화에 필요한 정책을 새롭게 추진하는 노력이 필요한 시점이라고 할 수 있다. 2015년에는 “지상파 UHD 방송 도입을 위한 정책 방안”이 마련되고, 2020년에는 “지상파 UHD 방송 활성화 방안”이 수립되어 지상파 UHD 방송 추진의 중심 역할을 수행하였다. 시청자가 원하는 지상파 UHD 방송은 어떤 모습이고, 불편한 점은 무엇인지, 어떤 점을 개선해 주면 좋은지에 대한 질문과 그에 대한 답을 찾는 노력은 아쉬움이 남는다. 시청자들은 UHD 방송 화질에 만족하는지? HDTV를 UHD TV로 교체하기 위한 필요·충분조건은 무엇인지에 대한 질문의 답변을 지속적으로 분석할 필요가 있다. 지상파 방송사와 UHD KOREA는 그동안 조사한 시청자의 지상파 UHD 방송에 대한 통계자료를 분석하고 정리하였다. 이를 토대로 새로운 미디어 환경에 필요하고 UHD 미디어 정책 수립과 추진에 기여할 수 있는 시청자 조사와 분석을 지속적으로 추진하려고 한다.
