The occurrence of local modes related to low-density elements in the topology optimization of vibrating structures has been a serious problem. A few existing local mode controlling methods do not always result in trouble-free black-and-white results. In this work, a new topology optimization formulation that employs specially designed interpolation functions for element mass and stiffness matrices is proposed for local vibration mode free topology optimization. However, the interpolation scheme alone cannot avoid the formulation of blurry image results. Therefore, a method to guarantee the resulting image to be black and white should be also devised. The effectiveness of the developed formulation is verified by several numerical examples including the vibration problems taking self-weight into account.

The topology optimization of cooling fins is carried out. Though the topology design method has been successful in structural problems, serious numerical difficulties such as non-physical temperature undershooting have been often observed in its applications to thermal problems. In this investigation, a new method called the element connectivity parameterizing topology optimization method is proposed where all important phenomena such as conduction, surface convection and side convection are taken into account. It was difficult to deal with side convection with conventional approaches. Several cooling fin design problems were considered to show the effectiveness of the proposed method.

지금까지 건설산업은 재무 중심의 성과측정에 주로 의존하여 왔다. 또한 성과측정시스템에 관한 연구는 대부분 프로젝트 레벨에서 이루어졌다. 그러나 최근 들어 산업 또는 기업 레벨의 성과측정 및 관리에 대한 요구가 높아지고 있다. 이러한 관점에서 본 연구는 건설기업들의 성과를 측정하고 서로 비교할 수 있는 지표를 개발하고, 지표들의 다양한 특성을 분석하고자 하였다. 우선, 정성적, 그리고 정량적 분석 과정을 통해 지표의 타당성, 측정가능성, 비교가능성을 만족시키는 공통적인 지표체계를 도출하였다. 다음으로, 성과영역들의 가중치를 적용하여 건설기업의 성과지수를 산정하였으며, 산정된 성과지수를 이용한 상관분석, 회귀분석 등을 수행하여 성과지표의 통계적인 특성과 기초적인 인과관계를 도출하였다. 마지막으로, 이러한 분석 과정에서 도출된 다양한 결과들과 함께 계속해서 수행되어야 할 향후 연구과제를 제시하였다. Recently, the demand for performance evaluation and management at the industrial or corporate level has been increasing. From this perspective, this study has developed indicators to measure and compare construction company performances and we have analyzed various characteristics of those indicators. Throughout our thorough qualitative and quantitative analysis we first identified a set of indicators for performance measurement. These indicators have been shown to meet the requirements of validity, measurability, and comparability. Second, we calculated the performance index of construction companies by applying weightings of the performance categories. Then we performed correlation and regression analyses using the calculated performance index and identified the basic cause-and-effect relationships, as well as the statistical characteristics of the performance index. Drawing on the results of the analytical processes identified in this work, we discuss future research to be conducted.
장골 이식을 이용한 수직 증강 이부 성형술 후의 장기간 결과

Purpose: In order to clarify the clinical utility of the vertical height augmentation (VHA) genioplasty using autogenous iliac bone graft (IBG), this study examined the postsurgical changes in hard and soft tissues of the chin and the stability of the grafted bone. Patients and Methods: Twenty-three patients who had undergone VHA genioplasty using autogenous IBG were evaluated radiographically and clinically. A comparison study of the changes in hard to soft tissues after surgery in all 23 patients was performed with preoperative, 1-month, 3-months, 6-months, and/or 1-year postoperative lateral cephalograms by tracing. Stability, bone healing, and complication of the grafted bone was evaluated by follow-up roentgenograms and clinical observation. Results: Between the preoperative and 6-month postoperative tracings, an average vertical augmentation of the osseous segment was 4.2 mm at menton and that of the soft tissue menton was 4.0 mm. There was a high predictability of 1: 0.94 between the amounts of hard versus soft tissue changes with surgery in the vertical plane. The position of the genial bone segment was stable immediately after surgery and soft tissue was not changed significantly from 1 month to 1 year after operation. Clinical and radiological follow-up results of the iliac bone graft showed normal bony union and were generally stable. Conclusions: VHA genioplasty using IBG is a reliable method for predicting hard and soft tissue changes and for maintaining postoperative soft tissue of the chin after surgery.

설계 엔지니어링 분야는 다양한 건축주 및 사용자의 요구와 관련 분야에 대한 기술적인 문제들의 증가로 인해 과거보다 더 많은 분야 전문가 간의 정보소통 과정을 필요로 하는 등 정보화의 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 하지만 현실에서는 그 필요성만 인식되고 있을 뿐, 효과에 대한 검증 및 추진을 위한 동기 부여가 되지 못함으로서 정보화에 대한 투자 및 전문 인력확보가 이루어지지 못하고 있다. 그러므로 본 연구의 목적은 설계 엔지니어링 분야를 대상으로 기업의 정보화와 기업 성과의 관련성을 규명하여 기업의 정보화 전략 수립의 근거로 활용할 수 있는 평가 체계를 제안하고, 이를 중심으로 현재 설계 엔지니어링 분야의 기업 성과와 정보화 현황 및 상관관계를 규명함으로써 향후 설계 엔지니어링 분야의 정보화 추진에 활용 가능한 분석 자료를 제공하는 것이다. The importance of informatization of architectural/engineering firms has been addressed since technical problems caused by owner and users$^{\circ}{\O}s$ needs and requirements increased. However, the investment and the human resource support have not been enough, and the effectiveness and efficiency of jnformatization has not been verified and validated, either. Therefore, the objective of this paper is to analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of informatization based on the corporation performance through considering the present status of corporation performance and jnformatization of architectural/engineering firms and analyzing the correlations between them. In addition, this study proposed the performance measurement framework to evaluate the performance and jnformatization level on architectural/engineering firms based on the previous studies.

건설산업의 성과지수 개발을 위한 핵심성과지표 : 건설기업 대상 KPI를 중심으로

The Performance Measurement in the construction industry is more important recently. Various researches about PMS (Performance Measurement Systems), such as the government-oriented PMS in U.K. have been done. As growing concern at new vision and target in the Korean construction industry, it is needed to manage the growth of the construction industry using performance measurement. The purpose of this study is to recommend the framework for development of PI(Performance Index) and KPIs(Key Performance Indicators) focusing on the Korean construction industry. First, the framework for development of PI is suggested through literature survey and studying cases performed in the U.K. Second, KPls are suggested through analyzing limitations and problems appeared in the existing researches, questionnaire survey, and interviews to verify and supplement limitations and problems. Finally, the validity of the proposed KPIs are validated by three case studies. This study also suggests the expected effects and further research fields.
