여행기에 반영된 문명론의 자의식: 이병한의 『유라시아 견문』 3부작을 중심으로

This paper examines the relation between civilization and travel, focusing on Lee Byung-han’s Trilogy of Eurasian Landing. Prior to the full discussion, I wrote about the narrative nature inherent in the act of travel and the writing aspects of the passages that epically organize it. This study also examined the meaning of the travel voyage that was spotlighted in the modern style and the aspect of postmodern change. Next, we looked at the related aspects of travel and civilization. The self-consciousness of the hierarchical civilization of civilization and uncivilization was discussed through the travel period as a traveler’s desire and power consciousness. In short, in the form of narrative representation of travel, the sense of the conscious and unconscious civilization possessed by the traveler is expressed. In line with this context, I have looked into the related aspects of civilization and travel in detail in the trilogy of Lee Byung-han’s <Eurasian Field Trip>. Lee Byung-han’s travel exemplifies the recognition of the end of Western modernity and the transformation of civilization as the opening of a post-Western era. The narrative composition evolves into a vivid oppositional structure between reaction (western modernity) and great power (new Eurasian age). The details can be summed up in the division and division from convergence and integration, from liberal democracy to the politics of civilization. And the narrative structure of this travel diary is composed of two layers of travel narrative and growth narrative in that it reflects the traveler’s growth process. The narrative of the journey, which examines the decline of Western modernity and the opening of the new Eurasian era, goes hand in hand with the narrative of the saint, in which the traveler who was a reformist was born again. In short, the characteristic of this journey is the epic fusion of the macroscopic change of world history, the transformation of civilization, and the variation of the subjectivity of individual awakening and growth. Finally, I pointed out the problems of Lee’s travel record as follows. In short, it points to the irony of the theme of travel, which must overcome the logic of Western modernity, in accordance with modern dialectical logic. 본 논문은 문명과 여행의 관련 양상을 이병한의 『유라시아 견문』 3부작을 중심으로 살펴본다. 본격적인 논의에 앞서 여행이라는 행위 자체에 내재하는 서사적 성격과 그것을 서사적으로 조직하는 기행문의 글쓰기 양상에 대하여 논술하였다. 근대적인 양식으로 각광받았던 여행기의 의미와 그 탈근대적 변화의 양상에 대하여도 살펴보았다. 다음으로 여행(기)와 문명(론)의 관련 양상에 대하여 살펴보았다. 문명과 미개라는 위계적인 문명론의 자의식이, 여행기를 통해 여행자의 욕망과 권력의식으로 드러나는 메커니즘을 논의하였다. 요컨대 여행기라는 서사적 재현의 형식에는 여행자가 갖고 있는 의식적 무의식적인 문명론의 감각이 표출되기 마련인 것이다. 이러한 맥락에 따라 이병한의 『유라시아 견문』 3부작을 사례로 문명과 여행의 관련 양상을 구체적으로 살펴보았다. 이병한의 여행기는 서구적 근대의 종언과 탈서구적 시대의 개막이라는 문명의 전환에 대한 인식을 대전제를 이룬다. 서사적 구도는 반동(서구적 근대)과 대세(새로운 유라시아 시대) 간의 선명한 대립적 구도로 전개된다. 그 구체적인 내용은 분할과 분단에서 융합과 통합으로, 자유민주주의에서 문명의 정치로의 이행과 전환으로 요약할 수 있다. 그리고 이 여행기의 서사구조는 여행자의 성장과정을 반영한다는 점에서 여행서사와 성장서사의 복층구조로 이루어져 있다. 서구적 근대의 쇠퇴와 새로운 유라시아 시대의 개막을 살피는 여행의 서사는 개화파였던 여행자가 개벽파로 거듭나는 성자의 서사와 병행한다. 요컨대 이 여행기의 특징은 문명의 대전환이라는 거시적인 세계사의 변동과 개인의 각성과 성장이라는 주체성의 변이를 서사적으로 융합하여 풀어내고 있다는 것이다. 마지막으로 이병한의 여행기가 갖는 문제점을 다음과 같이 지적하였다. 요컨대 그것은 서구적 근대의 논리를 극복해야 한다는 여행기의 주제가, 근대적인 변증법적 논리에 따라 이루어지고 있는 아이러니를 지적한 것이다.

4차 산업혁명을 주도하는 글로벌 강소기업으로의 성장: 코캄사례를 중심으로

헤르만 지몬 교수가 제시한 히든 챔피언(Hidden Champion)과 클라우스 슈밥 세계경제포럼 회장이 주장한 4차 산업혁명은 미래 산업 구조의 변화를 견인할 중요한 이슈로 다루어지고 있다. 본 연구는 4차 산업혁명의 핵심 분야 중 하나인 2차 전지 산업에서 활동하고 있는 한국의 강소기업 ‘코캄’ 의 성장 과정을 살펴봄으로써, 2차 전지 산업과 산업 변화에 대한 대응전략, 그리고, 강소기업의 특성을 살펴볼 것이다. 폴리에스터 및 편광필름 관련 엔지니어링 사업으로 시작한 코캄은 2차 전지 산업에서 기회를 발견한 홍지준 CEO에 의해 코캄은 리튬 폴리머 배터리 산업에 진출하여, 집중적인 R&D 투자를 통해 독창적인 기술력을 확보했다. 코캄은 현재 안정성 및 기술 신뢰성이 중요하게 여겨지는 대형 배터리 시장인 ESS(Energy Saving System), 군용 배터리 시장에 집중하고 있다. 코캄의 성공요인으로는 CEO의 통찰력과 리더십, 시장 선도자 목표를 향한 매진, 지식 창출 활동 중심의 가치 창출, 독창적 기술 기반의 경쟁우위, 고객 친화적 제품 및 서비스 제공, 핵심 분야에 대한 강도 높은 집중 등이 있다. 코캄은 이를 기반으로 중소 벤처 기업에서 강소기업으로 성장해 왔다. 이러한 코캄의 특성은 헤르만 지몬이 제시한 히든 챔피언의 특성을 잘 나타내고 있기 때문에, 본 사례는 연구자와 실무자들에게 4차 산업혁명 분야와 강소기업에 대한 여러 시사점을 제공해 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. ‘Hidden Champion’ suggested by Hermann Simon, and ‘the Fourth Industrial Revolution’ claimed by Klaus Schwab, are considered as an critical issue that will lead to changes in future industrial structure. This study examine the industrial environment of the secondary battery, one of the core industry in the fourth industrial revolution, and the characteristics of the hidden champion by investigating Kokam which is a leading small-giant company in Korea. Kokam founded on the basis of CEO’s experience in the related fields, started its engineering business on polyester and polarized film industry. After that, as CEO Hong discovered opportunities in the secondary battery industry, Kokam entered the lithium polymer battery industry and acquired unique technology through intensive R&D investment. Kokam focuses on the large battery market such as Energy Saving System and the military battery market where reliability and technology are considered as key success factors. Kokam’s success is based on the several factors such as CEO’s insight, experience and leadership, goals to be a market leader, value creation through knowledge creation activities, competitive advantage based on original technology, customer-friendly products and services, intensive focus on core areas and globalization. These characteristics of Kokam are expected to help researchers, practitioners and students understand the characteristics of Hidden Champion.

Uterine Adenomyosis Which Developed from Hypoplastic Uterus in Postmenopausal Woman with Mayer-Rokitan-sky-Kuster-Hauser Syndrome: A Case Report

Mayer-Rokitansky-Kuster-Hauser syndrome (MRKHS) is characterized by vaginal agenesis with variable Müllerian duct abnormalities. We report here a case of uterine adenomyosis which developed from a hypoplastic uterus in a patient with MRKHS. A 55-year-old postmenopausal woman visited a university hospital for pelvic mass. She had underwent vaginoplasty via the McIndoe procedure for MRKHS at 15 years of age. Pelvic magnetic resonance imaging showed a 5.4 × 4.8 × 4.7 cm mass suspicious for a uterine myoma. She received total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, and neither the cervix nor endometrium was found grossly in the surgical specimen. The final histologic diagnosis was uterine adenomyosis.

부산항의 장소성과 그 재현-윤정규와 윤진상의 소설에 나타난 산업화 시기의 ‘부산항’을 중심으로

Busan Port is a key keyword that explains Busan's urban identity. The history of Busan Port's construction and use overlaps with the establishment of the modern city of Busan and the history of Busan's urban development after that. In the construction and utilization of the space called Busan Port, the desires and logic of the subject of the colonial empire and the post-colonial state are implemented. In addition, Busan Port has formed a unique sense of place and affection in people's memories through the numerous historical events that took place there, as well as the people who survive and live there. The role played by various discourses of representation and representation in the formation of that sense of place is enormous. The full-fledged discussion on the reproduction of Busan Port was centered on the short stories of Jeong-gyu Yun and Jin-sang Yun. There are very few novels about Busan Port itself. There are even rarer novels that depict the life history of the vagrants and the poor from their own class point of view. With Busan Port as the background, these works, which deal with smuggling, port-related labor, and the lives of the poor, can look back on the truth behind the development and modernization that took place in earnest after the 1960s. Yoon Jeong-gyu's 'The Story of Hansu' introduces the spatial structure of Busan Port in detail, while expressing the smuggling that takes place therein in detail. This novel expresses through empirical narratives such as the US military club near the pier and 'Yangkongj', the treatment of seafarers, the actual conditions of cargo handling, smuggling, and the cholera epidemic after liberation. Yoon Jin-sang's 'City of Anti-Corruption' and 'Sunshine in a Hole' focused on the victims of industrialization in the 1970s through humanism. 부산항은 부산의 도시정체성을 설명하는 핵심적인 키워드이다. 부산항이 구축되고 활용되어온 역사는 곧 근대도시 부산의 성립과 그 이후 부산의 도시 발달사와 겹쳐있다. 부산항이라는 공간의 건설과 활용에는 식민지기의 제국과 탈식민지기의 국가라는 주체의 욕구와 논리가 관철되어있다. 더불어 부산항은 그곳에 터해 생존과 생활을 영위하는 사람들은 물론이고, 그곳에서 벌어졌던 숱한 역사적 사건들을 통해서 사람들의 기억 속에서 특유의 장소적 감각과 정감을 형성해왔다. 그 장소감각의 형성에 있어 다양한 재현과 표상의 담론들이 수행하는 역할은 막대하다. 부산항의 재현에 대한 본격적인 논의는 윤정규와 윤진상의 단편소설을 중심으로 전개했다. 부산항을 다룬 소설 자체가 드물고, 특히 부랑자와 빈민의 생활사를 나름의 계급적 관점에서 그려낸 소설은 더욱 희소하다. 그런 의미에서 부산항을 배경으로 밀수와 밀항, 그리고 항구와 관련된 노동과 인근 매축지 빈민들의 삶을 다룬 두 작가의 작품들은 1960년대 이후 본격화된 개발근대화의 이면과 그 진상을 되돌아볼 수 있다는 점에서도 소중하다. 윤정규의 「恨水傳」은 부산항의 공간 구조를 상세하게 소개하는 한편, 그 속에서 벌어지는 밀항과 밀수의 내막을 자세하게 형상화했다. 이 소설은 부두 주변 미군클럽과 양공주의 존재, 외항선원들의 처우, 하역 노동의 실태, 밀수품을 빼돌리는 내막과 그 품목들 등등의 내용들은 물론, 해방 직후의 호열자 유행이나 부관페리호의 취항, 남영호 침몰사건과 같은 당대의 시대상까지를 실증적인 서술을 통해 생생하게 담아냈다. 윤진상의 「謀反의 都市」와 「구멍 속의 햇볕」은, 작가 특유의 휴머니즘을 통해 1970년대의 맹렬한 산업화 이면의 희생자들에 주목한 작품들이다. 「謀反의 都市」은 원양어선 선원들의 비인간적인 처우를 고발하면서, 그들의 비참한 죽음에 아랑곳 않는 기업과 국가의 부당함을 비판했다. 더불어 선상 폭력이나 산재에 대한 보상, 선원법의 적용문제와 같은 현실적인 의제들을 다루었다. 「구멍 속의 햇볕」은 원양어선의 선원으로 일하다가 선사의 부당한 처우로 극빈층으로 전락한 남자의 이야기이다. 이 소설은 나름의 계급주의적 관점에서 매축지 거주 빈민들의 생활상과 부산항 인근 수산가공업의 노동 실태를, 투박한 사회 비판으로써 고발한 작품이다.

리미널리티 존재자로서의 ‘귀신’과 커뮤니타스: ‘사회적 드라마’로 읽는 한강 소설의 의미

본 논문은 빅터 터너의 주요 개념들을 통해 한강 소설들에 담긴 문화인류학적 구조와 그 특별한 의미들을 밝힌다. 빅터 터너의 ‘리미널리티’와 ‘커뮤니타스’, ‘사회적 드라마’라는 개념을 통해서 한강 소설에 등장하는 ‘귀신’의 의미를 추적한다. 여기서 ‘귀신’은 서로 다른 두 세계가 만나는 접점이자 문턱인 ‘리미널리티’의 존재성을 드러낸다. 그런 문턱을 통과하고 이행하는 과정을 통해 ‘커뮤니타스’라는 연합과 결속의 과정에 이를 수 있게 된다. 한강의 소설은 이미 여러 단편소설들을 통해서 사람의 ‘식물-되기’와 같은 리미널리티 과정으로서의 ‘변형’을 형상화하여 왔다. 몇몇 단편에서 등장하던 ‘귀신’의 존재성은 5.18 광주민중항쟁을 서사화한 『소년이 온다』에서 본격적인 의미를 획득한다. 이행 과정의 혼란을 이어주는 ‘리미널리티’는 풍요로운 통과의례(성장)의 과정이기도 하다. 리미널리티를 표상하는 그 경계적 존재로서의 귀신은 역사의 희생자들과 현재의 우리(독자)를 하나로 결속하게 하는 ‘커뮤니타스’를 이룩한다. 한강의 소설은 이처럼 ‘변형’과 ‘귀신’의 모티프를 통하여 역사의 문제에 개입한다. 귀신이라는 상상적 존재에는, 이른바 재현의 불가능성이라는 미학적 난제에 응전하는 작가의 의지가 투영되어있다. 논의의 주요 텍스트는 5.18 광주민중항쟁과 4.3 제주민중항쟁을 연결해서 다룬 『작별하지 않는다』이다. 이 작품에서 그 전에 발표되었던 여러 단편과 장편들의 핵심적인 모티프들을 포괄하고 있다. 이를 통해 각기 다른 맥락에서 발표되었던 한강의 여러 소설들이, 주요 모티프들을 공유하면서 서로 어떻게 연관되어 있는지를 살펴볼 수 있다. 한강의 소설을 일종의 ‘사회적 드라마’로 접근할 때, 그의 소설들이 어떤 분리와 단절에서 시작하여 귀신의 존재론을 통해 모호하고 불안정한 전이의 과정을 어렵게 통과하는 과정을 그려내고 있음을 확인할 수 있다. 그 통과의 과정을 거쳐 커뮤니타스에 이르는 것을 보여줌으로써 과거와 현재, 죽음과 삶, 정치적인 것과 윤리적인 것을 연결시키는 한강 소설의 핵심을 이해할 수 있다. 한강의 소설은 귀신의 상상력을 통해 역사적인 문제를 고유한 미학적 방법론으로 표현했다. 특히 『작별하지 않는다』를 통해 그 과정이 그의 창작의 이력 속에서 어떤 식으로 전개되어 왔는가를 확인해 볼 수 있다. 이 작품을 통해 5.18은 4.3과 만나고, 한국의 근현대사에서 있었던 국가폭력은 베트남전의 폭력과도 연결된다. 본 연구를 통해 한강 소설이 역사적인 것을 표현해온 그 확대와 심화의 과정을 확인해 볼 수 있을 것이다.

한국에서 날개매미충알벌 (Phanuromyia ricaniae)의 분포 및 월동

본 연구에서는 갈색날개매미충(R. sublimata)의 생물적 방제를 위한 기초정보를 마련하고자 알 기생천적인 날개 매미충알벌 (P. ricaniae)의 분포확산 및 월동 특성을 조사 한 결과를 보고하였다. 날개매미충알벌은 경기도, 충청남북도, 전라남북도 및 경상남도 일부 지역에 분포하는 것으로 조사되었다. 날개매미충알벌은 서남쪽 평야지대에 더 많이 발생하였으나, 시간의 경과에 따라 갈색날개매미 충의 확산에 맞춰 점차 동북쪽 지역으로 발생 범위가 확산하는 경향을 보였다. 날개매미충알벌의 야외 기생율은 1~8% 정도로 순천에서 가장 높았고, 다음으로 구례, 공주 순으로 나타났다. 날개매미충알벌은 9월부터 갈색날개매미충의 난 속에서 알 상태로 겨울을 보내고, 다음 해 6월부터 발육을 시작하여 성충으로 우화하였다. 날개매미충알 벌의 내한성은 알 상태에서 가장 높았다 This study investigated the distribution and overwintering of Phanuromyia ricaniae (Hemiptera: Platygastroidea), an egg parasitoid of Ricania sublimata (Hemiptera: Ricaniidea), in order to acquire basic information for biological control. P. ricaniae is distributed in some areas of Gyeonggi, Chungcheong, Jeolla, and Gyeongnam provinces. P. ricaniae is highly prevalent in the southwestern plains, with a tendency to expand to the northeastern area of Korea in line with the dispersal of R. sublimata. The parasitism of P. ricaniae was 1-8% in the field, and the highest in Suncheon, followed by Gurye and Gongju. P. ricaniae overwintered inside the eggs of R. sublimata from September to June of the next year, and transformed into adults in June. The rapid cold-hardiness of P. ricaniae was the highest in the egg state.
