A-Hilbert Schemes for 1/r(1^{n-1},a)

For a finite group $G\subset \GL(n,\C)$, the $G$-Hilbert scheme is a fine moduli space of $G$-clusters, which are 0-dimensional $G$-invariant subschemes $Z$ with $H^{0}(\sO_Z)$ isomorphic to $\C[G]$. In many cases, the $G$-Hilbert scheme provides a good resolution of the quotient singularity $\C^n/G$, but in general it can be very singular. In this note, we prove that for a cyclic group $A\subset \GL(n,\C)$ of type $\frac{1}{r}(1,\ldots,1,a)$ with $r$ coprime to $a$, $A$-Hilbert Scheme is smooth and irreducible.

August Wilson primarily describes the problems with sticking to the pastand facing to reality in Seven Guitars. In order to project his active voice,he suggests Afro-Americans should accept the past for the future withbalanced and unbiased views. His characters, Floyd and Hedley, arecaptured by the past and delusion denying that things have changed in theAmerican society. The reason why Wilson treats the individual's past more importantly inthis play is that it could be shared among the Afro-Americans and moveup to American society. Floyd and Hedley remain living in the past andtheir illusion. They don’t want to change their perspectives on Americansociety because their thoughts and eyes are always right. Floyd is willingto go back to Chicago. He suggests that if he goes back to Chicago, he cansolve problems, and again money, success, and honours. He does not wantto live in Pittsburgh because he sticks to the illusion that only going backto Chicago will make him live well and comfortable. That means that hehas no adaptability nor flexibility in reality. He is the invisible man inAmerican society. Hedley also lives in the prison of the past. He suffers from thetuberculosis but rejects modern medicine because he has a strong beliefthat only traditional prescriptions can save him. He does not want to moveto the sanatorium for better remedies. He thinks that he will die at thesanatorium. His father was sick and died because the white people did nottake care of him although he asked for the doctor. That’s why he isplanning to gain revenge against the White people. Even worse, he has adelusion that he is Christ and the leader of the Black People. Thatphantasm makes him kill Floyd and cause tragedy. On the other hand, Only Canewell has objective eyes and could criticizeother characters. He is trying to give some ideas to Floyd and Floydshould ask for his right and reward for his ability before he starts to workand play with his guitar at the club. Canewell considers the past ofAfro-Americans to be one of the most important factors. However. Hethinks that if the future generation receives the past of Afro-Americanhistory wrongly, an unexpected situation could occur for the whole ofAmerican society. Wilson suggests that the voice of Canewell is very productive for thenext generation and the way of his accepting the past could be differentfrom the case of Floyd and Hedley. Wilson allows his characters to speakwith various voices but divides them into two types which are the warningones and the suggestive ones.

Irreducibility of the moduli space for the quotient singularity $\frac{1}{2k+1}(k+1,1,2k)$

A 3-fold quotient terminal singularity is of the type $\frac{1}{r}(b,1$, $-1)$ with $\gcd(r,b)=1$. In \cite{Terminal}, it is proved that the economic resolution of a 3-fold terminal quotient singularity is isomorphic to a distinguished component of a moduli space $\mth$ of $\theta$-stable $G$-constellations for a suitable $\theta$. This paper proves that each connected component of the moduli space $\mth$ has a torus fixed point and classifies all torus fixed points on $\mth$. By product, we show that for $\frac{1}{2k+1}(k+1,1,-1)$ case the moduli space $\mth$ is irreducible.

Despite the international and domestic disputes, it has already been 4 years since the ROK deployment in Iraq. Today, the Zaitun Unit is successfully carrying out mission in Arbil (아르빌), under the praise of the locals and multinational forces. Following the request of the U.S., our government has deliberately reviewed deploying forces in Iraq in multiple angles. The main purpose of our deployment was to contribute to the peace and stability in Iraq and the Middle East. further develop the ROK-U.S alliance into a more profound relationship, and improve our national status and image on peace. Additional deployments were pursued under the consideration of the public opinion, reports of site survey groups. and characteristics and capabilities of the ROK military. Until now, the deployment has been annually extended with the approval of the National Assembly. To summarize the achievements of the deployment, first, we are providing a model for the most successful civil operations. Second, this has become an opportunity to strengthen Korea's global image in areas such as politics, diplomacy. military. and economy. Lastly. our forces were able to gain experience in stability operations, advance our airlift operation capabilities in foreign warfare, and improve our mission execution capabilities such as forming and managing an analysis team for lessons of war. The encouragement and confidence of our people and the endless interest and support of our military and government are the main reasons behind the success of our contingent in Iraq. There are more tasks to develop in order to expand on such achievements. First. the conditions for the termination of deployment should be promptly reviewed and a roadmap for future deployment must be drawn up. Secondly, further review should be carried out on regulations and policies regarding foreign deployment. An image of a powerful military through foreign deployment should be recognized internationally and domestically. Lastly, the public should be more aware and informed of the achievements made through the deployment in Iraq. Peace Keeping Organizations should become more involved so that the prosperity of world peace and security on the Korean peninsula have a synergy effect on one another, and Korea develops its national brand as a peace-loving nation.

Resolution of quotient singularities via $G$-constellations

For a finite subgroup $G$ of $\GL_n(\C)$, the moduli space $\mth$ of $\theta$-stable $G$-constellations is rarely smooth. This note shows that for a group $G$ of type $\frac{1}{r}(1,a,b)$ with $r=abc+a+b$, there is a generic stability parameter $\theta\in \Theta$ such that the birational component $\yth$ of $\theta$-stable $G$-constellations provides a resolution of the quotient singularity $X:=\C^3/G$.

August Wilson, through his various voices, dealt with justice, black experiences, Blues culture, African history, and African traditional ritual in his decade plays. The more important point is that he tried to change the direction of African-American Plays because the characters of the plays had been treated as simply stereotyped ones. The African-American Playwrights have created two different voices, such as revolutional fighters and non-violent resistance. Wilson also gives his characters many roles, but they are just neighbors who we might meet in the street or in the pub. Their lives and experiences are not specific ones but rather close to very routine. Wilson's characters fight against the racial justice such as unfair treatment, racial discrimination. In addition, Wilson, in his plays, urges black people to recognize Black (African) history, Blues tradition, and African culture for the justice of the Black people. This paper describes the problem of justice in the views of African-American theater and Wilson's play, Seven Guitars. In addition, African-American playwrights made hard efforts for the development of both African-American and American Plays. The people, in the plays, live in Pittsburgh, but it seems that they don't have hope for the future there. They are struggling for money, against unfairness, and discrimination. Floyd believes that all of these things will be changed if only he moves to Chicago. Redcarter and Canewell are playing a game for a sweet potato pie. This is a parody of how Black people experienced unreasonable treatment by the white people in the past. Justice had come up to American society since African-Americans began to think that they were accorded American citizenship. For example, they took part in World War II for freedom and democracy. But they realized that in the great melting pot society, fair games had been continued only for the white people. Wilson noticed that the contemporary complicated situation and his individual experiences should be reflected into his plays. His characters have various roles, violent fighters, arbitrators for a compromise solution, traditional heirs of African identity, Blues singers for entertainment and Black culture, murders for money and greed, etc.
