A novel Helicobacter species was identified from the gastrointestinal tract of the Korean striped field mouse (Apodemus agrarius). Biochemical testing, ultrastructure characterization, and 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis suggested that this bacterium represents a distinct taxon. The bacterium was positive for urease activity, susceptible to cephalothin and nalidixic acid, and weakly positive for oxidase and catalase activity. Electron microscopy revealed that the bacterium has spirally curved rod morphology with singular bipolar nonsheathed flagella. Genotypically, the isolated bacterial strains (YMRC 000215, YMRC 000216, and YMRC 000419) were most closely related to a reference strain of Helicobacter mesocricetorum (97.25%, 97.32%, and 97.03% 16S rRNA sequence similarities, respectively). The 16S rRNA sequences of these strains were deposited into GenBank under accession numbers AF284754, AY009129, and AY009130, respectively. We propose the name Helicobacter apodemus for this novel species.
국내 사육 닭에서 분리된 Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale (OR)균의 약제 감수성 및 항체보유율에 대한 연구

Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale(OR)은 최근에 알려진 그람음성 간균으로서 가금류에서 호흡기감염을 일으킨다. OR균의 항생제 감수성과 OR에 대한 국내발생현황을 조사하기 위하여 11개 OR분리주의 8중 항생제에 대한 최소발육억제농도(MIC)와 국내 달의 OR 항체보유율을 조사하였다. 모든 분리주는 ampicillin, tetracycline 및 doxycycline에 대하여 높은 감수성을 나타내었다. MIC는 각각 0.38~2 ${\mu}g$ /ml, 0.094~3 ${\mu}g$/ml, 0.094~3 ${\mu}g$/ml으로 ciprofloxacin, norfloxacin, enrofloxacin및 ofloxacin의 MIC는 대부분 3 ${\mu}g$/ml~48 ${\mu}g$/ml로 나타났고 gentamicin에 대하여는 모든 분리주가 저항성을 나타내었다. 시판되는 OR ELISA검사 kit를 사용하여, 국내에서 사육하는 육계 및 육용종계와 산란계 188계군에 대한 항체보유율을 검사한 결과, 육계 5계군(4%),육용종계 17계군(50%),산란계 16계군(55.2%)이 OR항체 양성계군으로 나타났다. 이 결과로 보아 OR은 국내 양계장내 광범위하게 만연되어 있을 것으로 보인다. Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale (OR) is a recently described gram-negative rod-shaped bacterium associated with respiratory tract infection in poultry. In order to investigate current occurrence of OR infection and to evaluate antibiotic susceptibility, the prevalence of OR antibody in domestic chickens were examined and the minimal inhibitory concentrations(MICs) of 8 antibiotics for 11 OR isolates was determined. All isolates tested were mostly susceptible to three antibiotics, ampicillin (MICs ranging from 0.38 ${\mu}g$/ml to 2 ${\mu}g$/ml), tetracycline (MICs 0.094~3 ${\mu}g$/ml) and doxycycline (MICs 0.047~4 ${\mu}g$/ml) but resistant to genatmicin. Ciprofloxacin, norfloxacin, enrofloxacin, and ofloxacin gave most isolates inhibition only in case of a higher concentration (MICs ranged in most cases from 3 ${\mu}g$/ml to 48 ${\mu}g$/ml). Out of 188 chicken flocks including broilers, broiler breeders, and layers, seropositive flock to OR were detected in 5 broilers (4%), 17 broiler breeders (50%), and 16 layers (55.2%), using commercial OR enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) kits. It suggested that OR infection was widespreaded in poultry farms in Korea.

This study evaluated retrospectively the treatment method and postoperative complications of communited mandibular fractures. We analyzed the clinical and radiologic data of 14 patients with the comminuted mandibular fractures who were admitted to Chosun University Dental Hospital from January 1998 to December 2003. We reviewed the cause of trauma, fracture sites, treatment methods, and postoperative complications. Thirteen patients (93%) had a successful treatment outcome without complications. Only one patient developed postoperative osteomyelitis requiring early plate removal and sequestrectomy. For the comminuted fractures of mandible, internal fixation using micro- or mini-plate was an effective treatment method with a low incidence of major complications.
A Ship-Wake Joint Detection Using Sentinel-2 Imagery

Ship detection is widely used in areas such as maritime security, maritime traffic, fisheriesmanagement, illegal fishing, and border control, and ship detection is important for rapid response and damageminimization as ship accident rates increase due to recent increases in international maritime traffic. Currently,according to a number of global and national regulations, ships must be equipped with automatic identificationsystem (AIS), which provide information such as the location and speed of the ship periodically at regularintervals. However, most small vessels (less than 300 tons) are not obligated to install the transponder and maynot be transmitted intentionally or accidentally. There is even a case of misuse of the ship’s location information. Therefore, in this study, ship detection was performed using high-resolution optical satellite images that canperiodically remotely detect a wide range and detect small ships. However, optical images can cause false-alarmdue to noise on the surface of the sea, such as waves, or factors indicating ship-like brightness, such as cloudsand wakes. So, it is important to remove these factors to improve the accuracy of ship detection. In this study,false alarm was reduced, and the accuracy of ship detection was improved by removing wake. As a ship detectionmethod, ship detection was performed using machine learning-based random forest (RF), and convolutionalneural network (CNN) techniques that have been widely used in object detection fields recently, and ship detectionresults by the model were compared and analyzed. In addition, in this study, the results of RF and CNN werecombined to improve the phenomenon of ship disconnection and the phenomenon of small detection. The shipdetection results of this study are significant in that they improved the limitations of each model while maintainingaccuracy. In addition, if satellite images with improved spatial resolution are utilized in the future, it is expectedthat ship and wake simultaneous detection with higher accuracy will be performed.

Person in the rain (PITR) is an art therapy assessment method that reflects both stress and coping behaviors. According to Lack's PITR scoring criteria, 16 items such as rain and puddles are classified as stressors, and 19 items such as umbrellas and raincoats are classified as coping resources. This study used PITR for object detection with a total of 700 images of the dataset consisting of 560 images for training, 30 for validation, and 110 for testing. The object detection model suggested here adopts a one-stage object detection architecture called Dynamic Head (i.e., Dyhead). After pre-training the model on a large computer vision benchmark dataset (MS COCO 2017) for 24 epochs, it was fine-tuned for another 36 epochs using the PITR dataset, with a mean average precision of 62.7 on the validation set and 49.4 on the test set. The proposed model can detect key objects such as rain, person, and umbrella for the PITR test from various image styles. 본 연구에서 객체 인식 과제의 대상으로 선정한 빗속의 사람 그림은 내담자의 스트레스와 스트레스 대처 행동을 반영하는 검사이다. Lack의 빗속의 사람 그림 채점 기준에 따르면 비, 웅덩이 등 16개 항목은 스트레스 요인으로 분류되고 우산, 우비 등 19개 항목은 대처 자원으로 분류된다. 본 연구에서는 총 700장의 빗속의 사람 그림 이미지 중 560장을 트레이닝 셋으로, 30장을 밸리데이션 셋으로, 110장을 테스트 셋으로 구성한 데이터셋으로 객체 인식 모델을 시도하였다. 모델은 one-stage detector인 Dynamic Head를 채택하여 대규모 컴퓨터 비전 벤치마크 데이터셋 (MS COCO 2017)에서 24 에폭으로 사전 훈련을 진행하였고, 빗속의 사람 그림 데이터셋을 36 에폭으로 fine-tune하였다. 모델의 mean average precision은 밸리데이션 셋에서 62.7 이었고 테스트 셋에서는 49.4 이었다. 본 연구에서 제안한 모델은 다양한 유형의 빗속의 사람 그림 평가에 참고가 되는 비, 사람, 우산 등의 주요 객체들을 인식할 수 있었다.
