Background and Objectives The compensatory articulation not only influences general speech intelligibility, but also prevents precise assessment of the velopharyngeal function. This study was performed to investigate frequently affected phonemes, prevalence and the characteristics of compensatory articulation in the patients with cleft palate having velopharyngeal insufficiency. Material and Method An archival review was taken on 103 cleft palate subjects. Their age ranged from 2.6 to 63 years (mean age of 9.8 years). They were grouped into two : preschool group (n=71) and older patient group (n=32). The prevalence and patterns of compensatory articulation were examined on oral high pressure consonants such as plosives, fricatives and affricates. Results : Compensatory errors were observed in $49.5\%$ of the subjects and were mostly glottal stops with the exception of 4cases who had pharyngeal fricatives in addition to glottal stops. The most frequently substituted phonemes were velar plosives and tense sound. There was no significant difference of prevalence in both groups. However, errors for bilabial and alveolar plosives were more frequently observed in preschool group. Conclusion High prevalence of compensatory articulation observed in both preschool and older age group indicates that their articulation errors tend to remain unless appropriate speech therapy is provided. To improve speech intelligibility of the patients with cleft palate having velopharyngeal insufficiency, it is advisable to address and correct the compensatory articulation errors in their earlier ages.

The Musculoskeletal Disease has been ignored or turned away due to the difficulty of diagnosis and the vagueness of judgement up to now. Contrary to other diseases, there were many cases where the character of the Musculoskeletal Disease wasn't revealed through the objective inspection. And that's because the Musculoskeletal Disease appears for the most part due to muscular defect so it is impossible to diagnose the muscle by X-ray diagnosing the bone and it is also impossible to diagnose the fine damage of the muscle or tendon even by advanced device like MRI. As the nervous blood vessels or acupunctures pass through or are next to the muscle, the tension of the muscle put pressure on these so can become the direct or indirect causes of various kinds of pains or intern diseases. But in spite of that, for lack of proper equipment diagnosing the state of the muscle(Shortened.. Relaxed... or Hardened...) the muscle has been disregarded or neglected intentionally or unintentionally. While many people think themselves to be a muscular expert, if they don't see the shape of the muscle, that is just like blind treatment. But as now the equipment diagnosing the state of the muscle is developed, it seems that this problem can be settled. It was attempted in this study that the muscle or skeleton of the Musculoskeletal disease patients was diagno the treatment order and method were decided by a questionnaire survey and simple inspection, and the Musculoskeletal correction exercise using the muscle management and sling system made them escape from the Musculoskeletal disease, turning their muscle into more flexible and stronger muscle. As a result notwithstanding the limited treatment period '12 times', the improvement rate was as high as 74%, which showed that the muscle management and Musculoskeletal correction exercise had a great effect on the symptom improvement of the patients. If the treatment times had increased, the improvement rate also would have increased more.
구강건강과 두경부 방사선 항암치료에 따른 구강 점막염간의 상관성에 관한 연구

Objectives: This study evaluated the relationship between oral hygiene and health status and radiation-induced mucositis among patients with head and neck cancer over an 8-week period. Methods: We recruited 40 patients with head and neck cancer scheduled to receive radiation therapy (RT), and 25 patients were included in the study. Before commencing RT, a dentist examined the patients for plaque, and determined the gingival index and pocket depth. A dental hygienist assessed the patients for radiation-induced mucositis once weekly, for 8 weeks, during RT. Results: The mean patient age was 60.96 (±8.47) years, and 21 (87.5%) patients were male. Twenty patients (83.3%) had been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma. Patients with cancer located in the head region had more severe mucositis than those with cancer in the neck region, but this was not significant statistically (P=0.053). However, toothbrushing frequency, plaque, gingival index, and pocket depth were not related to radiation-induced mucositis. During RT, the severity of mucositis significantly worsened compared to that at baseline. Conclusions: Mucositis severity worsened during RT, but this was not related to oral hygiene and health status among patients with head and neck cancer.

본 연구에서는 나노입자의 특성분석, 독성 그리고 제어 가능성에 대해 연구하였다. FlFFF를 이용하여 나노 입자의 크기 및 정전기적 특성 분석이 이루어 졌다. 이온 강도가 각기 다른 eluent를 사용하여 멤브레인과 나노입자간의 상호 작용을 확인 할 수 있었고, 정전기적 반발력이 줄어든 높은 이온강도에서 나노입자의 제어가 효과적으로 가능함을 알 수 있었다. D. magna를 이용한 양자점 독성 실험에서 양자점은 동일한 금속에 비하여 다소 높은 독성을 나타내었다.

The development of Oxy-PC(pulverized coal) burner and its preliminary test were performed. The design concepts of the burner were the adoptions of primary-oxygen direct-injection without the dilution with the recycled flue gas and through multi-nozzle for fuel-oxidant mixing and stable burning, and of high intensity swirler to coping with the reduction of swirling momentum due to a reduced gas flow rate of Oxy-PC combustion compared with Air-PC case. The exhaust gas analyses were conducted for a variety of experimental conditions of O₂ concentration, swirl number, primary O₂ flow rate and tertiary oxidant flow rate. The representative results are the achievement of high concentration CO₂ over 95% and the reduction of NO<SUB>x</SUB> emission to 48㎎/MJ by the injection of tertiary O₂/CO₂ mixture.
