The authors present the fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) cytologic findings of a case of extranodal marginal zone B cell lymphoma (MZBCL), which featured abundant plasma cells and eosinophilic histiocytes arising in both parotid glands. A 49-year-old female presented with palpable masses in both parotid glands. She had been suffering from systemic lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis. The lesions were evaluated by FNAC and smears showed a small number of clusters of oncocytic cells with abundant eosinophilic granular cytoplasm and small nuclei, intermixed with small to medium-sized lymphoid cells containing round to lobulated nuclei, which suggested Warthin's tumor. Some of lymphoid cells had a plasmacytoid appearance, and some scattered large cells contained a large amount of eosinophilic cytoplasm. Bilateral superficial parotidectomy was performed and a histopathologic study indicated MZBCL with abundant plasma cells, intermixed with eosinophilic histiocytes. The presence of oncocytic cells and a mixture of lymphoid and plasma cells indicates Warthin's tumor, but the cytologic features of a relatively monotonous small to medium-sized lymphoid infiltrate suggest the possibility of MZBCL in the clinical setting of an FNAC study performed on a patient suffering from a connective tissue disease.
무기인산염이 골재생에 미치는 효과에 대한 조직계측학적인 연구

In this study, author examined the effect of the concentration of the inorganic polyphosphate on the process of the bone regeneration by using the 6 weeks old rabbit with the weight of 2.0kg in average. we performed the experiment by using TR-eITFE membrane filled with collagen immersed with 1%, 2%, and 4% of inorganic polyphosphate, respectively, after removing the proper sized cort-ical bones from the calvaria of rabbit. The experimental results were compared with the one of the following four groups: The control group for membrane only, experimental group I for membrane filled with collagen im-mersed with 1% of inorganic polyphosphate, experimental group II for membrane filled with collagen immerse with 2% of inorganic polyphosphate, experimental group III for membrane filled with colla-gen immersed with 4% of inorganic polyphosphate. The fragments of the tissue with membrane were obtained from each group of the sacrificed rab-bits for 4 or 8 weeks sustained after surgery, were then prestained and coated. New bone formation was assessed by histomorphometric and statistical analysis. We may draw the conclusions from these experiments as following: 1. Collagen was an excellent carrier with a minimal inflammatory reaction and sustaining the form. 2. The sample of the 8th week group has shown the best bone regeneration compared with the cases of all groups including the control group. 3. The samples of collagen immersed with 2% and 4% of inorganic polyphosphate have shown more bone regeneration relative to the sample of the 1% inorganic polyphosphate. 4. The new bone regeneration was shown actively in the group for membrane filled with collagen immersed with 4% of inorganic polyphosphate. With above results, it is strongly suggested the use of inorganic polyphosphate with vehicle under TR-eITFE membrane.
전환기 대한민국 유아교육기관의 당면과제: 안전인가? 인권인가?

본 논문은 2015년 미래유아교육학회 춘계전국학술대회에 발표된 논문을 수정 보완한 것으로서, 연구자는 우리나라가 처해있는 유아교육기관의 당면과제를 유아의 안전에 초점을 맞출 것인지, 아니면 교사의 인권에 초점을 맞추어 당면과제를 풀어나가는 것이 적절한 것인지에 대하여 논의하였다. 특히, 우리 앞에 성큼 다가온 제 4물결 사회로의 진입으로 인하여 우리의 생활방식에 많은 변화가 있을 것으로 예측하였으며 따라서 보육교육인들도 이에 맞추어 적절한 개방, 소통, 그리고 협업의 마인드를 가지고 우리나라 영유아보육과 교육에 힘써야 함을 강조하였다. This study is a revised version of Keynote paper presented at the Association for Future Early Childhood Education, Fall conference in 2015. The researchers tried to discuss the current issues related to the young children``s safety and early childhood teachers`` rights. The researchers added their concern for the Fourth wave movement in Korean society and the changes that might happen in the future due to the new movement. Moreover, the researchers argued that early childhood professionals should need to be more open to the new information and more cooperative, and good communicators to make a positive impact in the field of early childhood education.

Some Educational Problems in the Late Victorian Age: the Discourses on Examination A liberal journal, the Nineteenth Century published several essays protesting `over-examination` in November 1888. These essays were filled with condemnation on the educational evils originated from `over-examination`. After that, with the special supplement which aimed at the critique of the protests, it published another protesting essays against examination separately. Until the early nineteenth century, the English people was not accustomed to the competitive examination. Most public official positions were generally appointed by the recommendations of notable men. This patronage relation is usually called `Old Corruption`. But as English society had experienced gradual industrialization, the mechanism of Old Corruption could not become compatible with new industrial order. As a result, the competitive examination and the appointment by it began to be introduced to the English society. What caused the debates on `over-examination` in 1880s? Perhaps the debates were related with the report of the Royal Commission on the elementary education published in 1888, which especially criticized `the payment by the results of examination` in the elementary education. Though the essays in Nineteenth Century also pointed out some problems brought out by over-examination, they focused on the degrees of problems which were derived from the competitive appointment of public offices and the graduation examination of Oxbridge. The critiques of the protests also admitted that examination raised some evils and problems. But they criticized the protestor had fictitious knowledge of the educational situation. They request the alternative of the competitive appointment of public offices, which should not be any disquieting and pernicious novelty. The critiques explained that but for competition, the English society would have been again confronted with partisan appointment and patronage, the tradition of `old corruption` in the earlier century. Though we could regard the competitive examination system of the late Victorian age as new industrial order, it does not mean the rapid transition from patronage to true competition. These changers were no more than the result of compromise which could be likened to the wrapping of an outer garment of competition around a body of patronage. Because public office examinations consisted of the subjects such as Greek, Latin, mathematics, they were more favourable to examinees from public school or Oxbridge. The standards of the elites were the cultural marks of the schools which English ruling class had attended for a long time. and it was this cultural style that played the most important role in the appointment of public office.
