Purpose: Medical institutions and their patients benefit from continued employment of nurses. In this study an assessment was done of important factors that influence nurses' intention to leaving their jobs. Methods: The sample consisted of 229 university hospital nurses. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, $Scheff{\acute{e}}$, Pearson's Correlation Analysis, and Hierarchical Multiple Regression. Results: The control variables, including age, current position, and health status explained 18% (F=16.37, p<.001) of variance in retention intention. The control variables, bullying, job stress, self-esteem, and burnout collectively explained 27% of variance in retention intention. Conclusion: The findings indicate that the factors influencing retention intention are age, current position, and health status, while self-esteem and burnout in work places are new and more recent factors that impact retention intention. These findings can be utilized to develop strategies to increase self-esteem and retention intention.
복강경하 담낭절제술환자에서의 마취방법에 따른 수술 후 오심과 구토의 비교

Purpose: Postoperative nausea and vomiting(PONV) is a common problem after general anesthesia. The aim of this prospective, double-blind randomized study was to compare the effect of Propofol-Remifentanil vs. Sevoflurane inhalational anesthetics on PONV after laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Methods: Forty patients (ASA physical status 1, 2) scheduled for elective surgery participated in the study. Twenty of them received total intravenous anesthesia (TIVA group) with Propofol-Remifentanil, and the rest were given Sevoflurane inhalational anesthetics (inhalation group). The TIVA group was induced with Propofol 5mcg/ml and Remifentanil 3~4mcg/ml. The anesthesia was maintained with the continuous infusion of Propofol 2~3mcg/ml and Remifentanil 2~3mcg/ml IV. The inhalation group was induced with Pentotal Sodium 5mg/kg and 3~4mcg/kg/hr IV Remifentanil. Maintenance was obtained with 1.5~2.0 vol% Sevoflurane. Results: The subjects in TIVA group reported less PONV than those in Sevoflurane inhalation anesthesia group. Conclusion: Propofol-Remifentanil anesthesia (TIVA group) was considered a satisfactory anesthetic technique in reducing PONV in patients with laparoscopic cholecystectomy.

The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of bullying, negative affectivity and burnout in the nurses. Methods: The sample consisted of 389 nurses. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffe, Pearson Correlation Analysis and Hierarchical Multiple Regression. Results: The control variables of age, marital status, education level, current position, health status and work unit explained 30.2%(F=28.9, p<.001) of variance in burnout. The control variables, bullying and negative affectivity collectively explained 49.7% of variance in burnout. Conclusion: The results indicate that the demographic factors influencing burnout are age, education level, health status, work unit, while bullying and negative affectivity in the work places are factors that influence burnout. These findings can be utilized to develop strategies to reduce bullying and negative affectivity.
대장내시경 검사 전 걷기 운동이 장세척액 복용 시 불편감과 대장 정결도에 미치는 효과

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of walking on discomfort and colon cleansing for patients having a colon lavage solution before colonoscopy. Methods: This study was a nonequivalent control group post test design. The participants were 89 patients (experimental group: 47, control group: 42) who underwent colonoscopy at G hospital in Incheon. The two groups put on step counter for an hour while taking the colon lavage solution. The experimental group was made up of patients who walked over 3,000 steps and the control group of those who walked less than 3,000 steps. Discomfort was measured using VAS and colon cleansing was measured by a specialist. Collected data were analyzed using x2-test, t-test with SPSS/PC+ window version 15.0. Results: Walking while taking the colon lavage solution decreases abdominal pain before colonoscopy. Also one hour after taking the colon lavage solution, decreased nausea, abdominal pain and discomfort were found in the group which walked over 3,000 steps. Concluson: Based on the above findings, adequate walking can be used as a nursing intervention to increase comfort in patients undergoing colonoscopy.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution incorporates the digital revolution into the physical world, creating a new direction in a number of fields, including artificial intelligence, quantum computing, nanotechnology, biotechnology, robotics, 3D printing, autonomous vehicles, and the Internet of Things. The artificial intelligence field has encountered a turning point mainly due to advancements in machine learning, which allows machines to learn, improve, and perform a specific task through data without being explicitly programmed. Machine learning can be utilized with machining processes to improve product quality levels and productivity rates, to monitor the health of systems, and to optimize design and process parameters. This is known as smart machining, referring to a new machining paradigm in which machine tools are fully connected through a cyber-physical system. This paper reviews and summarizes machining processes using machine learning algorithms and suggests a perspective on the machining industry.
