        용담호 녹조현상의 원인 남세균 연구 (1) 질소고정 남세균 Anabaena spiroides v. crassa 종주와 영양염 제한

        2000년 12월부터 담수를 시작한 용담호는 총 저수량 8.2억톤으로 국내 5위의 대규모 다목적댐 호수로서, 새만금 담수호에 유입되는 하천수의 최상류에 위치한 인공호이다. 새만금 방조제가 완공되어 수문을 조작하면, 용담호의 계절적인 식물플랑크톤 군집변화는 신생 새만금호의 녹조현상을 좌우하는 한 요인이 될 것이다. 용담호의 초기 담수화 과정 중 2002-2003년 하계에 남세균 녹조현상이 나타났으며, 녹조현상을 일으킨 주요 속은 Anabaena, Microcystis, Aphanizomenon 등이었다. 이 가운데 사상체 남세균인 Anabaena속에는 영양세포 이외에 이질세포나 휴면세포 등의 특수기능 세포를 가진 종들이 포함되어 있다. 용담호 녹조현상이 나타난 현장의 시료에서 분리한 Anabaena spiroides v. crassa의 단종배양체인 KNU-YD0310종주를 확립하였으며, 실내배양 실험을 통하여 이 종주의 영양염 요구를 연구하였다. 질소영양염 제한 조건에서는 이질세포의 영양세포에 대한 비율이 높았으며, 질소제한 정도에 따라 그 비율은 더욱 증가하였다. 질소고정능이 있는 KNU-YD0310는 질소제한 조건에서도 성장이 지속되나, 인의 경우에는 초기의 공급 농도에 비례하는 성장을 나타내었다. 인영양염 제한 조건에서는 휴면세포의 형성량이 증가하여, 인 제한의 경우에는 실험 종주가 세포대사를 억제하여 부적합한 환경조건에서의 생존기간을 연장시키는 적응전략을 가진 것으로 판단된다. 이와 같은 Anabaena spiroides v. crassa의 생리 생태적 특성은 향후 새만금 담수호의 녹조현상 예방대책 수립을 위한 수서생태학적 기준으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다. Yongdam Lake is the fifth largest artificial lake in Korea newly formed by the first impounding the Yongdam Multi-purpose Dam on December, 2002. Yongdam Lake, with her total water storage of 820 million M/T, is located at the roof-top region of the streams flowing into the just-constructed new Saemankeum Lake. Seasonal succession of phytoplakton in Yongdam Lake might affect cyanobacterial blooms in Saemankeum Lake by inoculating seasonal dominants. During 2002-2003 when the first impounding after the construction of Yongdam Multi-purpose Dam was still undergoing, summer cyanobacterial blooms by Anabaena, Microcystis, and Aphanizomenon were observed. Among these three, filamentous Anabaena is well known to have its species with $N_2-fixing$ ability and special cells such as heterocysts and akinetes as well as the vegetative cells. We established a clonal culture of Anabaena spiroides v. crasse (KNU-YD0310) from the live water samples collected at the bloom site of Yongdam Lake. The N- and P-nutrient requirement of the KNU-YD0310 was explored by the experimental cultivation of the laboratory strain. Ratio of heterocysts to vegetative cells increased as N-deficiency extended with its maximum at $N_2-fixing$ condition. The strain KNU-YD0310 exhibited considerable growth under N-limiting conditions while its growth was proportional to the initial phosphate-P concentration under P-deficient conditions. Under P-limiting conditions akinete density increased, which could be interpreted as an adaptation strategy to survive severe environment by transforming into resting stage. The above eco-physiological characteristics of Anabaena spiroides v. crassa might be useful as an ecological criterion in controlling cyanobacterial blooms at Shaemankeum Lake in near future.

        1960년대 후반 1970년대 초반 서울의 구릉지 저소득층 공동주택에 관한 연구

        The study is about an affordable housing, located on hillside, in the aspect of housing policies. It includes Sky apartment housing and Si-min apartments. After the Korean War, Seoul suffered from serious shortage of housing because of the destruction during the war and people's immigration from the country to the city. According to the urbanization, poor people illegally occupied public land, especially hillside area. The wide urban area turned out to shanty town. The government employed an extreme policy focusing on demolition and dislocation of people until 1972. During the last four years of the period, improved policies appeared. On the other hand the study will take three housing cases constructed between the late 1960s and the early 1970s for the closer examination. They are Jeogneung Sky Apartment, Si-Min Apartment, and Yeoido Si-Beom Apartment. As a result the study shows a positive public aspect of housing development in late 1960s through early 1970s.

        희토류원소에 의한 탈황 및 개재물 형태변화에 관한 연구

        Together with the deoxidation and desulphurizaton behaviors of RE (rare earth element) treated molten steel, the changes in shape, size, and constitution of the RE inclusions after RE treatment were studied in 0.3%C-1.3%Mn-0.02%S steel using high frequency induction furnace with magnesia crucible. It was found that little additional deoxidation occurred when RE addition was made to the molten steel pre-deoxidized with 0.05% Al, whilst considerable desulphurization was observed. The effectiveness of desulphurization increased with the amount of RE added. It is believed that the desulphurization occurred mainly by the formation of RE-sulphide rather than RE-oxysulphide and the growth of RE-sulphide was accelerated by the induction stirring. During holding after RE treatment, resulphurization and fading of globular RE-inclusions, accompanied by the formation of MnS, occurred possibly due to the reoxidation of the molten steel.

        The patient, 65 year old male, admitted Chungnam National University Hospital because of left flank pain and urinary frequency. Gross finding of nephrectomized specimen show atrophy of renal parenchyma and marked dilatation of renal pelvis with about 1,500 cc of urine. Microscopic findings are showing well differentiatiated papillary transitional cell carcinoma with chronic pyelonephritis. We have experienced a case of giant hydronephrosis combined with transitional cell carcinoma of renal pelvis, and report this case with brief review on the literatures.

        빈-피킹을 위한 다관절 로봇 그리퍼의 관절 데이터를 이용한 물체 인식 기법

        In this study, we propose an object identification method for bin-picking developed for industrial robots. We identify the grasp posture and the associated geometric parameters of grasp objects using the joint data of a robotic gripper. Prior to grasp identification, we analyze the grasping motion in a low-dimensional space using principle component analysis (PCA) to reduce the dimensions. We collected the joint data from a human hand to demonstrate the grasp-identification algorithm. For data acquisition of the human grasp data, we conducted additional research on the motion characteristics of a human hand. We explain the method for using the algorithm of grasp identification for bin-picking. Finally, we present a subject for future research using our proposed algorithm of grasp model and identification.

      • 각종 혈액질환에서의 PDW에 관한 연구

        The heterogeneity of platelet size is related with their functional and metabolic activity. Young platelets are larger, denser, and more active than the old ones. Recently, coulter counter model S plusⅡ was introduced and could calculate the platelet distribution width (PDW). Therefore this study was planned to evaluate the clinical significance of PDW in various hematologic diseases. The results were summarized as follow: 1. There was nonlinear inverse relation between PDW and platelet count. PDW was increased in thrombocytopenic patient and decreased in thrombocytosis. 2, PDW was high as increasing WBC count in thrombocytopenic patient. 3. There was nonlinear relation between MPV and PDW in healthy person. 4. The diseases that disclosed normal MPV and normal PDW: pure red cell aplasia, hemolytic anemia. 5. The diseases that disclosed normal MPV and high PDW: Polycythemia vera, Erythroid hyperplasia. 6. The diseases that disclosed low MPV and normal PDW : Hypoplast marrow, Metastatic tumor and lead poisoning. 7. The diseases that disclosed low MPV and high PDW: AML, ALL, preleukemia and essential thrombocythemia. 8. The diseases that disclosed high MPV and high PDW: Iron def. anemia, Reactive marrow. 9. The diseases that disclosed high MPV and low PDW: Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura.
