        촉지되지 않고 우연히 발견되는 갑상선 결절에서초음파 유도하 세침흡인검사의 의의

        Background and Objectives:With the availability of more sensitive ultrasonography, a larger number of nonpalpable thyroid d nodule. The purpose of this study is to investigate the clinical significance of thyroid incidentaloma and the usefulnes of the USG-FNA in the management of thyroid incidentaloma. Subjects and Method:A retrospective study was performed on 208 pa-tients who underwent USG-FNA for thyroid incidentaloma smaller than 1.5 cm from 2001 to 2005. The cytologic findings were compared with the ultrasonographic findings and the surgical pathology. Results:Suspicious malignant sonographic findings cytologicaly diagnosed as benign lesion (76.4%), 7 cases as follicular neoplasm (3.3%), 33 cases as malignancy (15.8%), and 9 cases as inadequate specimen (4.4%). Of the 40 cases with folicular neoplasm and malignant cytology, 37 cases underwent sur-gery and 30 cases were confirmed to malignancy on the postoperative pathologic diagnosis. In the cases diagnosed to malig-nancy on pathology, extracapsular extension was present in 9 cases (30% ) (26.7%). The sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of the USG-FNA for malignancy were 93.3%, 71.4%, and 89.1%, respectively. Conclusion:USG-FNA is a useful diagnostic tol in the management of thyroid incidentaloma especially when more than two suspicious malig-nant sonographic findings need to be detected. The clinical characteristics is not significantly diferent between palpable and nonpalpable nodules. (Korean J Otorhinolaryngol-Head Neck Surg 2007 ;50 :622-6)

        EMG Analysis of Lower Limb Muscle Activation Pattern During Pedaling: Experiments and Computer Simulations

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the performance of the recumbent bicycle. The recumbent bicycle is a type of bicycle usually used to train or exercise a patient or the elderly. A recumbent bicycle was specially constructed for this study by researchers. The speed and power can be recorded and displayed on the monitor of the recumbent bicycle. The experiments consisted of four steps with different start-knee angle (α=85°, 105°, 125°, 145°). The activation and force of lower limb muscles were measured and calculated using an electromyography (EMG) and a computer simulation respectively. The maximum of intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC) and their differences were calculated to compare between the data of different muscles. The data obtained from test and retest was shown to have a good reliability on all of the measured muscles. The ICC is 0.93 for biceps femoris (BF) of step 2 (α=105°). The maximum muscle activation and muscle force were also measured at step 2. The BF EMG of step 2 was shown to be significantly different (p<0.05) from other steps. Overall, the recumbent bicycle was shown to be similar in function with an upright bicycle. The frequency use of the recumbent bicycle is predicted to increase for a patient and the elderly due to stable seat structure which have bucket shape.

        Physical and Mechanical Properties of Alginate-Based Hydrogel Film as Carrier for Release of Acetylthiocholine

        The effects of different cross-linkers on mechanical and physical properties of alginate hydrogel films were determined to use prepared films as potential carrier structure for rapid detection system. Xylitol and d-mannitol cross-linked hydrogel films improved mechanical properties and generated more rigid, tough and stretchable film than uncross-linked film. Results exhibited increased tensile strength by 2.3 folds (58.3±5.8 MPa) and 1.8 folds (47.4±4.9MPa) when compared to uncross-linked film (25.8±7.3 MPa) respectively. Young’s modulus of d-mannitol cross-linked film was slightly greater (16.8±2.1 MPa) than that of xylitol (15.7±2.7 MPa) whereas the elongation at break (E%) value of xylitol cross-linking (5.46±1.2%) was greater than d-mannitol (2.72±0.8%) cross-linking. Altered mechanical properties were investigated in terms of different amount of % cumulative release of AchI and DTNB that were immobilized in film matrix. Results showed different release amount depending on types of cross-linkers as following: xylitolcrosslinked (71.5%) > d-mannitol (64.9%) > uncross-linked (58.3%) at 10 min of release period. The exponent value n which determined based on power-law expression was ranged between 0.56 and 0.98, and indicates the release was mediated by anomalous Non-Fickian diffusion.

        메모리 액세스 로그 분석을 통한 프로그램 표절 검출

        프로그램 소스코드를 표절하는 것은 소프트웨어의 지적재산권을 침해하는 행위이다. 표절을 감추기 위하여 소스코드의 구조를 일부 바꾸거나 변수 명을 바꾸는 등의 수단을 쓰기도 하기 때문에 표절을 검출하기란 쉽지 않은 일이다. 표절 행위를 막기 위해 이를 검출하기 위한 여러 가지 방법들이 고안되었으며 대부분 프로그램의 소스코드를 다양한 방법으로 분석하여 표절 검출하려고 한다. 본 논문에서는 소스 코드에 기반하지 않고 실행중인 프로그램의 메모리 액세스 로그 분석을 통해 알고리즘 유사도를 측정하여 프로그램의 표절 여부를 검출하는 새로운 방법을 제시한다. 두 프로그램의 메모리 액세스 로그는 일반적인 스트링 비교 알고리즘을 이용하여 분석될 수 있으며, 본 논문에서는 일반적인 방법보다 특성화된 방법을 제시한다. 이를 통해 메모리 액세스 로그가 프로그램의 표절 검출도구로서 사용되어질 수 있음을 보여준다. Program Plagiarism is an infringement of software copyright. In detecting program plagiarism, many different source program comparison methods has been studied. But, it is not easy to detect plagiarized program that made a few cosmetic changes in program structures and variable names In this paper, we propose a new ground-breaking technique in detecting plagiarism by Memory Access Log Analysis.

        Prostate Imaging-Reporting and Data System Version 2: Beyond Prostate Cancer Detection

        The main purpose of Prostate Imaging-Reporting and Data System Version 2 (PI-RADSv2) is to effectively detect clinically significant prostate cancers (csPCa) using multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging. Since the first introduction of PI-RADSv2, researchers have validated its diagnostic performance in identifying csPCa, and these promising data have influenced biopsy and treatment schemes. However, in this article, we focused on the potential of PI-RADSv2 in relation to various aspects of PCa such as Gleason score, tumor volume, extraprostatic extension, lymph node metastasis, and postoperative biochemical recurrence, beyond prostate cancer detection.

        Measurement of Cell-Substrate Impedance and Characterization of Cancer Cell Growth Kinetics with Mathematical Model

        Non-invasive cell-substrate impedance sensing technique was used to monitor cancer cell attachment, spreading and proliferation as function of culture time. Impedance values were measured with cells cultured on collagen coated surface which exhibited moderate contact angle (54.5) and positively charge surface with the zeta potential (ζ) of +3.91 mV. Impedance was gradually increased and reached steady state after 2.6 hrs and 2.9 hrs with different impedance for SCC7 (2.7 Ω) and HeLa cells (1.1 Ω) respectively. Modified Gompertz mathematical growth model was used to determine growth kinetics, and showed maximum growth rate (μm) for SCC7 (7.9× 10-4 hr-1) and HeLa cells (2×10-5 hr-1) as well as both cells showed exponential increase of impedance following the lag period (λ) which required for cells to recover from the trypsinization and initiate attaching on electrode surface. The duration of lag period for SCC7 (0.7 hr) and HeLa cells (0.25 hrs ) demonstrated that HeLa cells exit lag period earlier than SCC7 cells and enter exponential growth which supports the rapid attachment and spread on substrate. Our result supported that the impedance measurement revealed cell-type specific growth characteristics and electrophysical properties that would be used to determine meaningful fingerprint for cancer cell study.

        한국 건설 산업에서 공급업체의 역량 평가에 대한 공급업체와 고객업체 관점의 차이에 관한 연구

        In construction industry, where projects are conducted through many firms’ collaboration, it is necessary to adopt Supply Chain Management (SCM) to obtain optimal output. Contractor plays a central role in the supply chain and is responsible to evaluate suppliers’ capabilities and utilize them as core resources to carry out a project. Therefore, the contractor’s ability to understand suppliers’ capabilities provides foundation for successful performance of the project. This paper conducted a single embedded case study in Korean construction industry to investigate the differences between contractor’s and its suppliers’ assessment on the capabilities of the suppliers and how contractors can evaluate their suppliers’ capabilities more accurately. Contractors—buyers—are assigned to assess their suppliers’ capability through online survey while the suppliers assess their own capabilities. Questionnaires to assess the supplier’s capability were designed based on related literature and grouped into four categories such as technical/operational capability, developmental capability, relational capability and business capability. A major Korean construction firm and its 106 suppliers participated to complete the survey and the results show in what categories the discrepancy of the perspectives between a buyer and a supplier is made. This study contributes to the research of suppliers’ capability management in the context of SCM for project business by providing a case of construction industry and can suggest directions leading to shared understanding of suppliers’ capability in SCM. 건설 산업 공급망관리(Supply Chain Management, 이하 SCM)에서 중심적인 위치를 차지하는 시공업체는 공급업체들의 역량을 정확하게 평가하고, 프로젝트 수행을 위한 핵심 자원으로 활용해야 한다. 시공업체의 입장에서 각 공급업체가 보유한 역량을 객관적으로 이해하는 것은 성공적인 프로젝트 수행의 필수조건이다. 본 연구는 한국 건설 산업 사례연구를 통해, 시공업체(고객업체)의 각 공급업체들에 대한 역량 평가가 공급업체의 자체 역량 평가와 어떤 차이가 있는지 관찰하였고, 성공적 SCM을 위한 공급업체 역량 평가 시에 발생하는 구체적인 문제점을 발견하여, 체계적으로 그 원인을 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해, 문헌연구를 토대로 기술․운영 역량, 개발 역량, 관계적 역량, 사업적 역량, 총 네 개의 영역으로 구성된 공급업체 역량 평가 설문지를 설계하였고, 한국의 대표적 시공업체와 106개의 공급업체들을 대상으로 온라인 설문을 진행하였다. 하나의 공급업체의 역량에 대한 공급업체와 시공업체의 관점의 차이를 보기 위해, 공급업체 대표자, 그리고 해당 기업과의 협업을 바탕으로 역량 평가를 수행할 수 있는 시공업체 직원이 독립적으로 그 공급업체를 평가하게 하였다. 연구 결과, 공급업체의 자체적인 역량 평가가 시공업체의 역량 평가보다 모든 영역과 문항에서 높게 나타나고 있으며, 공급업체의 규모가 작을수록, 또 공급업체가 연간 참여하는 프로젝트의 개수가 많을수록 두 업체의 관점 차이가 큰 것으로 드러났다. 본 연구는 건설 산업 사례를 통해 프로젝트 기반 산업의 특성을 고려한 공급업체 역량 관리 연구에 기여하며, 연구 결과는 건설 산업 내에서 공급업체의 역량에 대한 고객업체와 공급업체 상호 간의 이해를 증진시키기 위한 노력에 기여할 수 있다.
