        한국 밀리치료사들의 근무 현황 조사

        The purpose of this article is to identify real problems and to have a view of the future an Korean physical therapy of it through the survey. Moreover we make a statement for the justification acquiring the rights of practing physical therapiests with this fundamental data. The survey was conducted on 368 employed physical therapiests males 164, female 190 in Korea from April 1 to 30 in 1998 with self-administered questionnaire. The following results were obtained: 1. Of the 323 cases, 121(37.46%) work in local clinics, 55(17.02%) in hospitals, 103(31.89%) in general hospital and 21(9.60%) in rehabilitation centers or public welfare facilities. 2. In investigation of annual salary, the most common annual salary was more than 20million won in male(22.67%) and 12-14million won in female(35.36%). 3. The age group of 27-29 years accounted far 32.32% in male and 24-26 years accounted for 46.77% in female of the total physical therapiests are the highest. 4. In job satisfaction, 44.5% of physical therapiests who work in general hospital are generally satisfied and 25% are unsatisfied. 5. The periods of clinical practice for which physical therapicsts expect to devote are 1.64(44.81%) consider less than 10years, and 67(18.31%) expect 20years, 6. The problems of physical therapy system in korea are deviated administration of a cantral executive committee(39.94%) and excessive production of resistered physical therapiests.

        동결견 환자에 대한 물리치료사의 진단 및 치료방법 결정기준

        The purpose of this study was to determine the diagnosis and treatment patterns for frozen shoulder patients. It was used Delphi survey techniques and the subjects were 35 expect physical therapists who agreed participated in the study. The data were analyzed by the x2-test at 0.05 level of statistical significance. The results were as follows : 1. In accordance with open ended question, 11 diagnosis and 14 treatment are collected in the first investigation. 2. In accordance with close ended question, they were selected 5 diagnosis and 5 treatments criteria from the results of the first replied questionnaire. 3. Finally, the third close ended questionnaire, they were selected 3 main driteria of the diagnosis and treatments from the results of the second investigation. The physical therapists prefer to 1) History 2) ROM test 3) Palpation & Inspection in the diagnostic field, and 1) EST and Convex-Concave rule 2) Codman's exercise and MFR 3) Deep friction massage in the treatment field.

        Assessment of the Prognostic Factors for a Local Recurrence of Rectal Cancer: the Utility of Preoperative MR Imaging

        Objective: To determine the utility of MR imaging in evaluating the prognostic factors for a local recurrence of rectal cancer following a curative resection. Materials and Methods: The preoperative MR images obtained from 17 patients with a local recurrence and 54 patients without a local recurrence, who had undergone a curative resection, were independently evaluated by three radiologists. The following findings were analyzed: the direct invasion of the perirectal fat by the primary rectal carcinoma, involvement of the perirectal lymph nodes, perirectal spiculate nodules, perivascular encasement, and an enlargement of the pelvic wall lymph nodes. The clinical and surgical profiles were obtained from the patients' medical records. The association of a local recurrence with the MR findings and the clinicosurgical variables was statistically evaluated. Results: Of the MR findings, the presence of perivascular encasement (p = 0.001) and perirectal spiculate nodules (p = 0.001) were found to be significant prognostic factors for a local recurrence. Of the clinicosurgical profiles, the presence of a microscopic vascular invasion (p = 0.005) and the involvement of the regional lymph nodes (p = 0.006) were associated with a local recurrence. Logistic regression analysis showed that the presence of perirectal spiculate nodules was an independent predictor of a local recurrence (odds ratio, 7.382; 95% confidence interval, 1.438, 37.889; p = 0.017). Conclusion: The presence of perirectal spiculate nodules and perivascular encasement on the preoperative MR images are significant predictors of a local recurrence after curative surgery for a rectal carcinoma. This suggests that preoperative MR imaging can provide useful information to help in the planning of preoperative adjuvant therapy.

        Preparation of Smectic Layered Polymer Networks Using Side Chain Liquid Crystalline Polymers Having Latent Reactive Monomeric Units

        We prepared side-chain liquid crystalline polymers comprising two monomeric units, one having a mesogenic side group that could form a smectic mesophase and the other having a phenolic group attached to the polymer backbone via a thermally reversible urethane bond. The urethane linkage between the isocyanate and phenol groups was stable at room temperature, but it cleaved to generate an isocyanate group when the temperature was increased. When annealed, the copolymers in their smectic mesophases became insoluble in common organic solvents, suggesting the formation of network structures. XRD analysis showed that the annealed polymers maintained their smectic LC structures. The crosslinking process probably proceeded via the reaction of the dissociated isocyanate groups. Some of the isocyanate groups would have first reacted with moisture in the atmosphere to yield amino groups, which underwent further reaction with other isocyanate groups, resulting in the formation of urea bonds. We presume that only polymer chains in the same layer were crosslinked by the reaction of the isocyanate groups, resulting in the formation of a layered polymer network structure. Reactions between the layers did not occur because of the wide layer spacing.

        직접분사식 디젤기관에서 EGBE 첨가에 의한 배기가스 배출특성과 분석에 관한 실험적 연구

        Improvements of fuel properties have become essential for exhaust emission reduction as well as for optimization of directly-related design factors and exhaust gas aftertreatment. In this study, the potential possibility of oxygenated fuel such as ethylene glycol mono-n-butyl ether(EGBE) was investigated for the sake of smoke reduction from diesel engine. Because EGBE include oxygen content approximately 27%, it is a kind of effective oxygenated fuel that the smoke emission of EGBE is reduced remarkably in comparison with commercial diesel fuel, that is, it can supply oxygen component sufficient at high load and speed in diesel engine. And, it was tried to analyze the quantities of the low and high boiling point hydrocarbon among the exhaust emissions in diesel engine. It have been investigated by the quantitative analysis of the hydrocarbon $C_1$~ $C_{6}$ using the gas chromatography. This study was carried out by comparing the chromatogram with diesel fuel and diesel fuel blended EGBE 20vo1-%. The results of this study show that the hydrocarbon $C_1$~C$_{6}$ among the exhaust emission of the mixed fuels are exhausted lower than those of the diesel fuel at the all load and speed. In particular, high boiling point hydrocarbons such as $C_{5}$ and $C_{6}$ were reduced remarkably at high speed and load.d.

        직접분사식 디젤기관에서 MTBE 함유율 변화에 의한 배출가스 특성

        Although the demands for diesel engine is increased, our world is faced with very serious problems related to the air pollution due to the exhaust emissions of the diesel engine. In this study, the potential possibility of oxygenated fuel such as Methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE) was investigated for the sake of exhausted smoke reduction from diesel engine. MTBE has been used as a fuel additive blended into unleaded gasoline to improve octane number, but the study of application for diesel engine was incomplete. Because MTBE includes oxygen content approximately 18%, it is a kind of oxygenated fuel that the smoke emission of MTBE is reduced remarkably compared with commercial diesel fuel, that is, it can supply oxygen component sufficiently at high load and speed in diesel engine. But, the NOx emission of MTBE blended fuel is increased compared with commercial diesel fuel. And. it was tried to analyze not only total hydrocarbon but individual hydrocarbon components from $C_1$to $C_{6}$ in exhaust gas using gas chromatography to seek the reason for remarkable reduction of smoke emission. The results of this study show three conclusions. 1. The smoke omission of the MTBE blended fuel is lower than that of the diesel fuel at all experimental region in direct injection diesel engine. 2. Individual hydrocarbons(C$_1$~ $C_{6}$) as well as total hydrocarbon of oxygenated fuel are reduced remarkably compared with diesel fuel. 3. Smoke emission from diesel engines was strongly depended on oxygen content in fuel regardless of operating condition.
