In this study, passive type Metal Foam partial DPF characteristics was investigated. 70% target efficiency filter designed by Metal Foam Filter design program, was installed on D6DB(6.6L) engine exhaust line and PM removal efficiency & gas conversion rate by ND-13 mode was evaluated. The Filter has around 70% PM removal efficiency on whole soot loading level. When 7g/L soot loaded on the filter, the differential pressure is 280mbar on ND-13mode 10step air flow. But repeated ND-13mode test, there is no pressure drop gain.

본 연구의 선행기술조사결과 플로팅궤도 슬래브에는 dowel bar 등의 별도의 슬래브 연결부 보강이 없었다. 본 연구모델에 비해 선행기술조사 대상 슬래브의 연장이 매우 짧으며, 긴 지간의 슬래브에 연결부에 대한 보강이 없다면 단부에서의 단차에 의해 슬래브의 파괴가 예상된다. 따라서 dowel bar 등의 추가적인 보강이 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 dowel bar의 일반적인 특성과 국내외 dowel bar에 대한 선행기술에 대하여 조사함으로써, 추후 수행될 해석연구의 자료를 확보하고자 하여 그 적용가능성을 검토하고자 하였다. From the result of preceding study, there is no reinforcement such as dowel bar or etc. in joint system of floating slab. Length of floating slab in preceding study is short than one of this study. If there is no reinforcement in the joint of long slab span, fracture of slab is predicted by difference between two slabs. Therefore using of dowel bar is demanded. In this study, General characteristic and preceding technology of dowel bar is researched for data of analysis study. And it is considered application of dowel bar in floating slab system.

본 논문에서는 5.1채널 입체음향 오디오 신호를 2채널의 헤드폰으로 재생하기 위한 HRTF (Head Related Transfer Function) 기반의 입체음향 생성 시스템에 대하여 다룬다. 각 채널의 모노 입력신호는 HRTF를 이용한 바이노럴(binaural) 필터링을 통해 가상적으로 음상정위되며, 입체감과 공간감을 증가시키기 위해 잔향효과가 추가된다. 연산량 감소를 위해 음상정위 성능을 저하시키지 않는 범위에서 HRTF의 임펄스 응답 탭 수를 줄였으며, 잔향효과를 위한 음장제어부에서는 초기반사열중 주요한 성분만을 지연기로 모델링하였다. 또한 비개인화된 HRTF DB에 의란 앞/뒤 혼돈 문제를 줄이기 위하여 앞/뒤 스펙트럼의 차를 가중치로 하여 HRTF 스펙트럼을 강조하는 방법을 적용하였다. 구현한 시스템의 성능 평가 결과, 단순한 스테레오 방법이나 2채널 Down Mixing 방식에 비해 현실감 있고 방향성 있는 입체음향을 느낄 수가 있었다. In this paper we implement a headphone-based 5.1 channel 3-dimensional (3D) sound generation system using HRTF (Head Related Transfer Function). Each mono sound source in the 5.1 channel signal is localized on its virtual location by binaural filtering with corresponding HRTFs, and reverberation effect is added for spatialization. To reduce the computational burden, we reduce the number of taps in the HRTF impulse response and model the early reverberation effect with several tens of impulses extracted from the whole impulse sequences. We modified the spectrum of HRTF by weighing the difference of front-back spec01m to reduce the front-back confusion caused by non-individualized HRTF DB. In informal listening test we can confirm that the implemented 3D sound system generates live and rich 3D sound compared with simple stereo or 2 channel down mixing.

Metal foam is recently used for the filter material of a diesel particulate filter in virtue of design flexibility and high soot loading capacity. For the fully passive partial filter, the durable catalytic performance is the most important. In this study, the effect of various material parameters of the catalyst coated foam have been investigated. Cr migration from metal substrate to wash coat layer have not been observed after 130,000 km of vehicle durability test. The agglomeration of Pt particles and wash coat sintering and the SiO2 build-up inside wash coat layer result in reduction of the surface area of wash coat layer and cause the reduction of catalytic performance.

Porous metals demonstrate not only excessively low densities, but also novel physical, thermal, mechanical, electrical, and acoustic properties. Thus, porous metals exhibit exceptional performance, which are useful for diesel particulate filters, heat exchangers, and noise absorbers. In this study, SUS316L foam with 90% porosity and $3,000{\mu}m$ pore size is successfully manufactured using the electrostatic powder coating (ESPC) process. The mean size of SUS316L powders is approximately $12.33{\mu}m$. The pore properties are evaluated using SEM and Archimedes. As the quantity of powder coating increases, pore size decreases from 2,881 to $1,356{\mu}m$. Moreover, the strut thickness and apparent density increase from 423.7 to $898.3{\mu}m$ and from 0.278 to $0.840g/cm^3$, respectively. It demonstrates that pore properties of SUS316L powder porous metal are controllable by template type and quantity of powder coating.

Effects of metal foam EGR filters on EGR cooler effectiveness enhancement by suppressing EGR cooler fouling has been studied. EGR system of the test engine contains a metal foil type EGR catalyst for reducing HC in front of two EGR coolers. In this study, metal foam EGR filters, catalyzed for passive regeneration, replace the EGR catalyst to suppress cooler fouling more effectively. In the results, EGR filters improve the cooler effectiveness by suppressing cooler fouling and give stable pressure drop of EGR system through 30hr steady state engine operation.

Exhaust gases of diesel vehicles are considered as a major reason of city air pollutions. The DOC(Diesel Oxidation Catalyst) have been used to reduce the emissions of diesel vehicles. The DOC can oxides HC, CO, and SOF(Soluble Organic Fraction) in the PM emissions. However, the performance of DOC depends on the way of vehicles test and the types of vehicles. If prediction of the DOC performance was not accurate, it could not meet the expected performance. Therefore, we simulate engine mode test in micro-reactor according to each vehicle in order to reduce the DOC performance error by predicting the performance more precisely.
