        한복지 태의 계량화(I) -KES-FB 시스템에 의한-

        The objective of the present study has been to quantify the hand of fabrics for the Korean folk clothes using a KES-FB system developed by HESC. The mechanical properties of fabrics for the Korean folk clothes were measured with a KES-FB system. Some adjectives most appropriate for expressing the touch sensitiveness of fabrics for the Korean folk clothes were extracted in order to determine the primary hands. For the selected primary hands, sensory tests were carried out by asking expert panels of fabrics for the Korean folk clothes and the correlations between the mechanical properties and the sensory test results were examined in detail. In addition, the working equations for describing the primary and total hand of fabrics for the Korean folk clothes were derived from the measured mechanical properties by means of a step-wise regression analysis.

        인센티브 여행 참가자의심리적 체험이 직무성과에 미치는 영향 연구

        This study was conducted to identify psychological experience that the incentive trip participants have had while traveling a certain area and the impact on the organizational job performance and psychological experience in terms of the incentive trip participation program. Many countries have been utilizing the incentive trip participation program as a means of motivation in order to achieve the objective of organization. In the result of the study, the psychological experience was classified with three factors. It was shown that these factors had a positive impact on the organizational job performance as well as the personal job performance.

        다문화 그림책을 활용한 교육활동이 유아의 편견과 친사회적 행동에 미치는 효과

        본 연구의 목적은 다문화 그림책을 활용한 교육활동이 유아의 편견과 친사회적 행동에 미치는 효과를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 경기도 D구에 소재한 S병설유치원에 재학 중인 만 5세 유아 27명씩으로 실험집단과 통제집단으로 무선 배정하고 총 8주 동안 진행되었다. 활동을 실시 한 후 효과를 분석하기 위해 t검증을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 다문화 그림책을 활용한 교육활동은 유아의 편견감소에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 특히 외모, 장애, 가족구성에 대한 편견 감소에 효과적이었다. 또한 다문화 그림책을 활용한 교육활동은 유아의 친사회적 행동의 증진에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤으며, 지도성, 도움주기, 의사소통, 주도적 배려, 접근 시도하기, 나누기, 감정이입 및 조절 능력의 증진에 효과적이었다. 본 연구 결과는 유아들이 참여하는 다문화 그림책을 활용한 교육활동이 유아의 편견과 친사회적 행동의 증진에 효과적인 교수-학습 접근법임을 시사하고 있다. The purpose of this study was to examine Educational Activities with Multicultural Picture Books on Young Children's Prejudice and Prosocial Behavior. The research subjects are 5-year-old children who had been examined for 8 weeks from 16th, October to 7th, December, 2012: fifty-four 5-year-old children from S public kindergarten, D-gu in Gyeonggi-do were an experimental group and in the same kindergarten were a control group. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS 12.0 Windows program. The research results are as follows: the educational activities with multicultural picture books had a positive effect on prejudice reduction of infants. In addition, it was especially effective in prejudice reduction of appearance, disability, family composition. Also, the educational activities with multicultural picture books had a positive effect on the increase of prosocial behavior of infants. Moreover, it was especially effective in the increase of leadership, helping others, communication, thoughtful consideration, empathy, controlling emotion and so on than the other. These reseach results imply that the educational activities with multicultural picture books that infants participated in is an effective teaching-learning approach in the increase of prejudice reduction and prosocial behavior.

      • Phospholipid Analysis by Nanoflow Liquid Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry

        Lipids play important roles in biological systems; they store energy, play a structural role in the cell membrane, and areinvolved in cell growth, signal transduction, and apoptosis. Phospholipids (PLs) in particular have received attention in the medical andlipidomics research fields because of their involvement in human diseases such as diabetes, obesity, atherosclerosis, and many cancersassociated with lipid metabolic disorders. Here I review experimental strategies for PL analysis based on nanoflow liquid chromatography-electrospray ionization-tandem mass spectrometry (nLC-ESI-MSn). In particular, discussed are lipid extraction methods, nanoflowLC separation of PLs, effect of ionization modifiers on the ESI of PLs, influence of chain lengths and unsaturation degree of acyl chainsof PLs on MS intensity, structural determination of the molecular structure of PLs and their oxidized products, and quantitative profilingof PLs from biological samples such as tissue, urine, and plasma in relation to cancer and coronary artery disease.

        Bisphosphonate enhances TRAIL sensitivity to human osteosarcoma cells via death receptor 5 upregulation

        Tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL), a member of the TNF superfamily of cytokines, is one of the most promising candidates for cancer therapeutics. However, many osteosarcomas are resistant to TRAIL. Bisphosphonates are very effective in the treatment of bone problems associated with malignancies; the antitumor effects are due to the inhibition of protein prenylation that is essential for cell function and survival. The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of bisphosphonates on TRAIL-resistant MG 63 human osteosarcoma cells. The cells showed no response to TRAIL alone; however,pre-treatment with bisphosphonates significantly increased TRAIL-mediated apoptosis and cellular activation of caspase-3. Bisphosphonates significantly induced mRNA and protein expression of the TRAIL receptor, DR5. Bisphosphonates induced protein unprenylation in MG 63 cells; in addition, co-treatment with TRAIL also significantly increased protein unprenylation. Blocking of protein unprenylation using geranylgeraniol attenuated the cellular responses,including cell apoptosis and protein unprenylation induced by bisphosphonates and TRAIL. This is the first study to demonstrate that bisphosphonates markedly enhanced TRAIL-induced apoptosis in human osteosarcoma cells. These findings suggest that bisphosphonates may be a new and effective anticancer treatment with TRAIL proteins for TRAIL-resistant cancer cells.

        한복지 태의 계량화(II) -지능시스템에 의한 태의 판정-

        In this paper, an attempt to quantify hands of fabrics for Korean folk clothes has been made based on mechanical properties and the sensory test using artificial intelligence systems. In order to classify the primary hand values, four neural networks with three-layered structure were constructed and one neural network was constructed to classify the total hand value. The learning algorithm was selected with the error back propagation algorithm and, in order to reduce errors and to speed up learning, the moment method was selected. From the analysis of the primary and total hands using a self-constructed artificial intelligence system, the error rates of silky, sleekness, roughness, and stiffness compared with the judgements of expert panels were found to be 4.9%, 4.9%, 4.9%, and 1.6%, respectively, while that of the total hand was 9.83%.

        Frit-Inlet Asymmetrical Flow Field-Flow Fractionation (FI-ARIFF): A Stopless Separation Technique for Macromlecules and Nanopariticles

        This article gives an overview of a recently developed channel system, frit-inlet asymmetrical flow field-flow fractionation (FI-AFlFFF), which can be applied for the separation of nanoparticles, proteins, and water soluble polymers. A conventiona l asymmetrical flow FFF channel has been modified into a frit-inlet asymmetrical type by introducing a small inlet frit near the injection point and the system operation of the FI-AFlFFF channel can be made with a great convenience. Since sample components injected into the FI-AFlFFF channel are hydrodynamically relaxed, sample injection and separation processes proceed without interruption of the migration flow. Therefore in FI-AFlFFF, there is no requirement for a valve operation to switch the direction of the migration flow that is normally achieved during the focusing/relaxation process in a conventional asymmetrical channel. In this report, principles of the hydrodynamic relaxation in FI-AFlFFF channel are described with equations to predict the retention time and to calculate the complicated flow variations in the developed channel. The retention and resolving power of FI-AFlFFF system are demonstrated with standard nanospheres and protreins. An attempt to elucidate the capability of FI-AFlFFF system for the separation and size characterization of nanoparticles is made with a fumed silica particle sample. In FI-AFlFFF, field programming can be easily applied to improve separation speed and resolution for a highly retaining component (very large MW) by using flow circulation method. Programmed FI-AFlFFF separations are demonstrated with polystyrene sulfonate standards and pululans and the dynamic separation range of molecular weight is successfully expanded.
