The quality of a veterinary service depends on the veterinarian's physical and mental health. However, a veterinarian's mental health is generally considered to be more vulnerable than that of other health care professionals. As many veterinary students will enter the veterinary profession in near future, it is necessary to investigate their psychological status. This study examined stressors affecting student life in one veterinary school. Anxiety, depression, and stress levels were assessed using questionnaires and qualitative research techniques. The results obtained from questionnaires showed that the proportion of veterinary students with psychological distress was higher than expected. The major stressors experienced by the veterinary students were academic, economic, and environmental. Qualitative study using a photovoice method revealed that the students in this study felt relatively deprived compared with those in other veterinary schools. In addition, they were distressed by the school environment and limited human relationship. Our results suggest that veterinary school administrators should be aware of students' psychological distress and should undertake systematic improvement in their educational system by altering counseling programs, curricula, and school culture principles.

Purpose : The purposes of this study were to examine the levels of job stress, perceptions of the patient safety culture, and patient safety nursing activities, and to identify factors influencing patient safety nursing activities among intensive care unit (ICU) nurses. Methods : For this cross-sectional study, data were collected from 161 ICU nurses working in two university-affiliated hospitals in Gyeonggi-do between June 30 and July 30, 2020. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, an independent t-test, a one-way ANOVA, the Pearson correlation method, and multiple regression using the SPSS program. Results : The average levels of job stress, perception of patient safety culture, and patient safety nursing activities were 3.48, 3.44, and 4.45 out of 5, respectively. Multiple regression showed that perception of patient safety culture and career in current workplace were found to be statistically significant correlates of patient safety nursing activities. Conclusion : In order to promote patient safety nursing activities, patient safety culture needs to be incorporated into the education of ICU nurses. Perception of patient safety should be enhanced to improve patients safety nursing activity.

Silicon nitride ($SiN_x:H$) films made by plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) are generally used as antireflection layers and passivation layers on solar cells. In this study, we investigated the properties of silicon nitride ($SiN_x:H$) films made by PECVD. The passivation properties of $SiN_x:H$ are focused on by making the antireflection properties identical. To make equivalent optical properties of silicon nitride films, the refractive index and thickness of the films are fixed at 2.0 and 90 nm, respectively. This limit makes it easier to evaluate silicon nitride film as a passivation layer in realistic application situations. Next, the effects of the mixture ratio of the process gases with silane ($SiH_4$) and ammonia ($NH_3$) on the passivation qualities of silicon nitride film are evaluated. The absorption coefficient of each film was evaluated by spectrometric ellipsometry, the minority carrier lifetimes were evaluated by quasi-steady-state photo-conductance (QSSPC) measurement. The optical properties were obtained using a UV-visible spectrophotometer. The interface properties were determined by capacitance-voltage (C-V) measurement and the film components were identified by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and Rutherford backscattering spectroscopy detection (RBS) - elastic recoil detection (ERD). In hydrogen passivation, gas ratios of 1:1 and 1:3 show the best surface passivation property among the samples.

Organophosphorus insecticides induce different clinical manifestations varying according to the different side groups attached to the phosphate, their rates of degradation, and their fat solubilities. In consequence of this variation, specific treatments are required for particular organophosphorus insecticides. We report a unusual case of intoxication with dimethyl organophosphorus insecticide in a 26-year-old woman. She manifested atypical and ultimately fatal symptoms including profound shock, refractory hyperglycemia, and hypothermia.
압전 외팔보 진동 에너지 수확 장치의 형상 인자 및 전기-역학 특성

외팔보의 진동 방향에 수직인 면이 끝단으로 갈수록 좁아지는 사다리꼴 형상일 경우, 보 길이 방향의 변형률 분포가 보다 군일해진다는 것은 잘 알려진 사실이다. 이는 압전 진동 에너지 수확 장치의 설계에 있어서도 피로 파손의 신뢰성 측면에서 분명 매우 유리한 구조이다. 그러나 발생 전력량을 고려하면 직사각형에 구조에 비해 항상 유리하지는 않다. 즉, 균일한 변형률 분포가 반드시 압전 외팔보 진동 에너지 수확 장치의 발생 전력량의 증가를 보장하지는 않는다. 본 연구에서는 어떠한 형상 조건에서 변형률의 균일도 및 발생 전력량의 증가를 동시에 얻을 수 있는지에 대해 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 형상 인자 값의 변화에 따른 변형률 분포를 살펴본 후 유한요소해석을 이용하여 고유 진동수의 변화 및 전기 출력 특성을 비교하였다. It is well known that strain distributions become more uniform as a cantilever has a trapezoidal shape that narrows toward the free end. In terms of the reliability issues related to fatigue failure, this shape is also obviously favorable for the design of a piezoelectric vibration energy harvester. It should be noted, however, that cantilevered piezoelectric vibration energy harvesters of this shape do not always generate more power than those with rectangular shapes, i.e., more uniform strain distributions do not always guarantee increase in the generated power. This work investigates the conditions related to the shape factor for which increase in the generated power as well as more uniform strain distributions can be attained. To this end, strain distributions, variations in the resonant frequencies, and properties of the electrical outputs are explored and compared either analytically or using finite element analysis.
