        β-TCP 첨가량에 따른 생분해성 PLA/β-TCP 복합체의 생체활성과 기계적 특성 평가

        본 연구는 PLA에 β-TCP를 첨가한 복합체의 생체활성도와 기계적 성질을 평가하고자 한다. 클로로프롬 용액에 24 시간 교반기를 이용해서 PLA와 β-TCP를 무게별로 0, 10, 30, 50 wt% 용해한 후 에탄올 용액에서 PLA/β-TCP 복합체를 추출 후 사출성형을 통해 다양한 기계적 평가를 위한 시편을 제작하였다. SBF 인체 유사 체액에 1, 7, 30, 90 일 동안 침전하여 생체활성도를 평가하였다. 본 연구 결과 PLA/β-TCP 10-30 wt% 첨가한 실험군에서는 유의하게 강도가 증가하였으나 50 wt% 첨가한 실험군에서는 감소하였다. 결론적으로 β-TCP 30 wt% 이상 첨가하는 것은 사출성형 고분자 복합체의 기계적 특성이 개선되지 않는다. 표면 생체활성도는 90일 침전 후 표면 전체에 아파타이트 결정을 형성하였다. β-TCP는 표면특성과 기계적 성질 개선효과가 있음을 입증하였다. 향후 PLA/β-TCP 첨가량에 따른 효율성과 폭 넓은 물성 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다. The aim of the present study was to investigate the mechanical properties of melt-injected poly lactic acid (PLA) composites with β-tricalcium phosphate (β-TCP). The PLA mixed with calcined PLA/β-TCP powder to be contents of 0, 10, 30, 50 wt%, respectively, was dissolved in chloroform solvent under stirring for 24 h. Then the liquid mixtures were dropped into ethanol to extract solvent. After drying, the well-dispersed PLA/β-TCP composites were granulated and melt-injected to prepare specimens for various mechanical testing. PLA/β-TCP induced the precipitation of an apatite bone-mineral phase on the surface after immersion in a human simulated body fluid (SBF) for 90 days, showing in bioactivity. Mean various mechanical properties PLA/β-TCP composite were increased up to 10-30 wt% with significantly in part and composite were decreased 50 wt% of showing in mechanical properties. In conclusion, Over 30 wt% addition of β-TCP to PLA may be not advisable to improve the mechanical properties of melt-injected polymeric composites. Results indicated that β-TCP can be used considered as potential reinforcing agent for increasing mechanical properties for PLA. Therefore, it was suggest that the additional effects of β-TCP and research on a wide range of substances.

        치과위생사의 전문직업적 정체성과 관련 요인

        Objectives: The purpose of the study was to investigate the professionalism identity and related factors in dental hygienists. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 347 dental hyfienists from March 5 to May 31, 2015. Except incomplete 39 answers, data were analyzed by frequency analysis, ANOVA, Pearson``s correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis using SPSS 22.0. The questionnaire comprised 25 items including professionalism scale by Hall, Snizek, and Anderson by Likert 5 point scale. Results: Professionalism scale revealed self-regulation(3.65±0.58), service conviction(3.64±0.62), skills and training(3.21±0.70), sense of professional vocation(3.20±0.65), and thought about professional group(3.08±0.78). The professionalism identity by general characteristics showed significant differences and there were positive correlations in main factors. The identity level was influenced by internal factors rather than economic compensation. Conclusions: There were positive correlation in main factors. The identity level was influenced by internal factors.

        일부 특수학교 장애인의 치아우식증과 식생활실천지침 이행정도의 관련성

        Objectives: The purpose of our study was to examine the relationship of oral health status such as dental caries and the performance of dietary action guides with six items. Methods: Oral examination and self-administrated questionnaire were conducted on 87 disabled students, aged 6-19 who were attending special school in the area of the metropolitan Seoul. Two logistic regression models to estimate odds ratios and 95% confidence intervals were used to investigate the association dental caries experience and the performance of dietary action guides after controlling for potential confounders. Results: The proportion of study subjects with caries were 37.9%, 26.9%(male) and 54.3%(female), respectively(p<0.05). There was significantly difference the subjects with caries and perceived oral health status(p<0.01). Among the dietary action guides items, skipping breakfast and not avoiding waste food were significantly higher in the proportion of subjects` caries(p<0.05, p<0.01, respectively). The avoiding waste food groups had more possibility of having caries significantly(p<0.05), even after controlling gender, and perceived oral health status. Conclusions: These results indicate that oral health promotion policy with dietary action guides should be strengthened for support of disabled student`s dental health.

        생활터 중심 아동의 단기계속구강관리 효과분석

        Objectives: The purpose of this paper is to analyze the effects of short-term oral health care on children at community care centers, in order to allow them to maintain good oral health. Methods: The SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science), Window Version 18.0 was used to analyze the data for the children`s present conditions of oral health; their ability to maintain good oral health; their general knowledge about oral health; changes in their oral health awareness; habit formations concerning oral health; and the satisfaction level of oral health education. Results: 1. While the average number of teeth before the program is 19.84(6.19), that of teeth after the program is 21.33(6.10). 2. Average test scores on oral health information of post-program are improved more than those of pre-program. 3. The 8th measurement of O`Leary plaque index is 3.27, which shows significant changes. 4. Satisfaction level with the program is 4.75(0.45), which shows that children are satisfied with the program. Conclusions: The paper shows that in order to maintain the oral health of children at community care centers, their habit formation and practice for the oral health is important. It also shows that cooperation among communities and public health centers is important to develop various oral health education programs like the program.

        치위생 실습실에서 치위생과 학생의 감염에 관한 태도 연구

        The purpose of this study was to study dental hygiene department students` management of infection and their attitude toward infection. This study was conducted from August 24, 2009 to September 20, 2009. 269 sophomore and junior college students enrolled in the department of dental hygiene from schools located in Gyeonggi-do and Gangwon-do participated in the study. A self-administered questionnaire survey was conducted, and the results of the study are as follows: 1. As for dental hygiene department students` recognition of the causes of infectious diseases, 80.7% of the respondents said hepatitis B was the infectious disease highly likely to occur in laboratories. 35.3% was correct about the antecedent variables of infection in the workshop, 24.9% about the oral symptoms of HIV and 18.6% about the diseases induced by HBV. The recognition rates were generally low. 2. About whether the respondents ask patients questions about infectious diseases, 80.7% of them answered Yes, but only 56.2% of them said they do so every time, and 17.8% of them said they never do so. 3. As far as washing hands to prevent infectious diseases is concerned, 97.4% of the respondents said hand washing helps prevent infection. 72.5% of them said they wash their hands every time before they practice on a patient, while 84.0% of them said they washed their hands after the lab practice. 90.7% said they use liquid soap containing anti-microbial agents, and 81.8% of them said they use paper towels. 4. With regard to protective gear for prevention of infectious diseases, 98.9% of the respondents said it is desirable to use disposable protective gear for each patient. When it comes to what they actually used as protective gear, 91.1% said aprons, 89.2% gloves, and 87.7% masks. However, a low percentage of the respondents actually use goggles and replace masks when they got damp, 11.2% and 24.2% respectively. 5. As for treating the surface of equipments to prevent infectious diseases, most of the respondents exhibited a high recognition rate. Relative fewer respondents actually treat the surface of equipments than those respondents who are aware of the need to do so. A high percentage of the respondents also said they use alcohol sponge to treat the surface of each equipment in order to prevent infectious diseases.

        Objectives: The purpose of study is to investigate trends in dental hygiene research published in the Journal of Korean Society Dental Hygiene. Methods:Total of 992 researches were published between 2001 to 2015 were reviewed using analysis criteria. Results: 23.7% of the researches were supported financially. The most frequent research topics were oral health (40.9%). 3 to 5 researchers per research (38.5%) was most common and 84.1% of principal researchers were professors. 29 researchers were approved by IRB (2011 to 2015). As for the type of research, 87.1% of quantitative studies adapted survey and 9.5% adapted experiment. Convenient sampling was used in 85.6% of the researches. 32.7% of studies searched information in school. Interventions of dental material were the most in pre experimental design (19.2%) and Interventions of activation of oral health program were the most in quasi experimental design (37.5%). Conclusions: The findings of this study suggested the recent trends and the direction in dental hygiene research.

        칼슘 섭취 후 타액 내 칼슘 및 마그네슘 농도가 치아우식활성도에 미치는 영향

        Objectives: The purpose of the study was to investigate the effect of calcium concentration in saliva on dental caries activity after consuming calcium. Methods: A total of 59 adult women aged 20 to 40 years were surveyed for calcium intake. The daily average calcium intake was analyzed through dietary records of the subjects. The subjects were divided into two groups based on daily average calcium intake. Salivary pH and concentrations of minerals in the saliva were obtained from A group and B group. Calcium (Ca<sup>2+</sup>) and magnesium (Mg<sup>2+</sup>) concentrations in saliva were measured by HPLC-Ion chromatography using 15 mM sulfuric acid. The dental caries activity test was quantified by salivary buffer capacity test and plaque pH test. Results: The mean Ca<sup>2+</sup> concentrations of A group was 12.75 μg/m, the mean Ca<sup>2+</sup> concentrations in the B group was 16.30 μg/mL (p<0.05) and respectively, Mg<sup>2+</sup> concentrations were found to be 0.48 μg/mL and 0.51 μg/mL. Calcium intake and calcium concentration in saliva showed a significant correlation (r=0.380). Conclusions: The mean Ca<sup>2+</sup> concentrations in saliva was higher in the high calcium intake group. Therefore, calcium intake in saliva was correlated with dental caries.
