연산자 분리 방법을 통한 DFB/DBR 레이저 다이오드의 효율적인 시영역 동적 모델링

DFB(Distributed Feedback) 및 DBR(Distributed Bragg Reflector) 레이저 다이오드의 모델링에 많이 사용되는 시간 변수가 있는 결합 파동 방정식의 수치해를 효율적으로 구할 수 있는 새로운 방법을 제안 하였다. 이 방법에서는 결합 파동 방정식을 두 세트의 방정식으로 분리하여 해석한다. 한 세트의 방정식들에는 위상 인자 및 이득 인자만 포함되고, 다른 한 세트의 방정식에는 결합항만이 포함된다. 본 논문에서 SS-TDM(Split-Step Time Domain Model)이라고 명명한 새로운 수치해석법은 기존의 방법에 비하여 매시간 스텝당 계산 시간은 비슷한 반면에 분할 구간의 수가 10배 이상 적게 하여도 정확한 결과를 얻을 수 있음을 확인하였다. A novel and efficient approach for the numerical solution of time-dependent coupled-wave equations, which are frequently used for the modeling of DFB(Distributed Feedback), DBR(Distributed Bragg Reflector), and FP(Fabry Perot) laser diodes, is proposed. In this approach, the coupled wave equations are split into two sets of equations. One of two sets of equations contains only the phase factors and the other contains only the coupling terms. The separate equations are solved exactly in their split form successively. This new numerical scheme, which we call the SS-TDM(Split-Step Time Domain Model), is found to require an order of magnitude smaller number of subsections to get accurate results than the previous methods while the computation time for each time step is comparable to the previous methods.

Purpose: Nitric oxide (NO) is a vasodilator and inhaled NO (iNO) is used in acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) to improve alveolocapillary gas exchange. The mechanism to improve oxygenation is likely to redistribute blood flow from unventilated areas to ventilated areas. Though improvement of oxygenation, iNO therapy has not been shown to improve mortality and considered as only rescue therapy in severe hypoxemia. We conducted the study to investigate an efficacy of iNO in trauma patients with severe hypoxemia. Methods: We reviewed the trauma patients who underwent iNO therapy retrospectively from 2010 to 2014. Degree of hypoxemia was represented as PaO2/FiO2 ratio (PFR) and the severity of patient was represented with sequential organ failure assessment (SOFA) score. Patients were divided into the survivor group and non-survivor group according to the 28-day mortality. Results: A total of 20 patients were enrolled. The mortality of 28-day was 40%. There were no significant differences between survivor and non-survivor group in age, sex, severity of injury, PFR and SOFA score. There was significant difference in initiation time of iNO after injury (p=0.047). Maximum combinations of sensitivity and specificity for timing of iNO therapy were observed using cut-off of 3-day after injury with a sensitivity of 88% and specificity of 75%. Conclusion: Though iNO therapy does not influence the mortality, iNO therapy may decrease the mortality caused by respiratory failure in the early phase of trauma. [ J Trauma Inj 2015; 28: 104-107 ]
광섬유 커플러 Add/Drop 필터의 연산자 분리 시영역 해석 및 설계

비대칭 광섬유 커플러 ADF(add/drop filter)의 필터링 특성을 새로운 연산자 분리 시영역 모델을 이용해서 해석하였다. 연산자 분리 시영역 모델은 방향성 결합기와 브래그 격자를 포함하는 구조의 소자를 전산모사 할 때 미우 유용하다. 먼저 이 모델을 이용하여 대칭구조의 고아섬유 커플러 ADF의 특성을 해석하여 연산자 분리 알고리듬의 정확도를 확인 한 후에, 비대칭 구조 ADF의 특성을 해석하여 필터링 성능의 최적화에 필요한 파라미터 값들을 도출하였다. Add-drop filtering effect of a asymmetric fiber-optic coupler ADF(add/drop filter) is analyzed using a new split-step time-domain model. This model is very useful in simulating the devices containing a directional coupler an Bragg gratings, First, a symmetric fiber-optic coupler ADM is analyzed using this model to confirm the accuracy of the new method. Then, an asymmetric fiber-optic coupler ADF is analyzed, and some design parameters for optimal filtering effect is derived.
Ta<sub>2</sub>O<sub>5</sub> 고유전박막의 미세조직과 열적안정성

TiN and TaN films as electrode materials of reactive sputtered $Ta_2$$O_{5}$ were prepared by sputtering to compare their thermal stabilities with $Ta_2$$O_{5}$ The microstructural change of $Ta_2$$O_{5}$ films with annealing was also investigated. As- deposited $Ta_2$$O_{5}$ film on $SiO_2$ was amorphous and annealing of 80$0^{\circ}C$ for 30 min made it transform to $\beta$-Ta$_2$O$_{5}$ crystalline which contains amorphous particles with the size of a few nm. Crystallization temperature of Ta$_2$Ta_2$$O_{5}$ on TaN is higher than that on TiN electrode. The interface between TaN and Ta$_2$O$_{5}$ maintained stably even after vacuum annealing up to $800^{\circ}C$ for 1 hr, but TiN interacted with $Ta_2$$_O{5}$ and so interdiffusion between TiN and $Ta_2$$O_{5}$ occurred by vacuum annealing of 80$0^{\circ}C$ for 1 hr. It indicates that TaN is thermally more stable with $Ta_2$$O_{5}$ than TiN.N.
