해상에 떠있는 부유체는 파도와 바람의 영향으로 항상 흔들린다. 그 중에서도 파도의 영향이 지배적인데, 파도는 사인파 형태로 주기가 거의 일정하다. 이러한 파도의 특징을 생각해보면, 흔들리는 부유체는 사인파 형태의 모멘트를 생성하는 회전질량 시스템을 이용하여 안정시킬 수 있다. 가변형 회전질량 시스템은 기본적으로 모멘트를 생성하는 시스템으로써 네 개의 같은 질량들이 비대칭으로 배치되어 회전하며 한방향으로 모멘트를 생성하도록 구성된다. 그 모멘트의 크기는 각 질량들의 상대거리를 조절함으로써 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 가변형 회전질량 시스템을 이용하여 주파수 및 파고가 변하는 파도에 대하여 부유체를 안정화하는 법과 그 결과를 논의한다. A ship on the sea rolls constantly due to wind and waves. Wave which is the major factor for the rolling can be modeled as a sine wave with a constant frequency. Considering these characteristics of wave, it is possible to stabilize a ship by compensating the wave using rotating mass system (RMS), which generates a sine-shaped moment. An RMS consists of four masses which are placed asymmetrically so that they produce only one-directional moment. The magnitude of the moment is proportional to the relative distance among the masses and the variable RMS (VRMS) is capable of changing the distance to adjust the moment. This paper will discuss how to stabilize a ship against frequency-and amplitude-varying waves using a VRMS.

The pharmacokinetics of DWP302, a new combined ranitidine preparation in rats and dogs was studied using HPLC. DWP302 was composed of ranitidine, sucralfate and tripotassium dicitrato bismuthate. Especially, this study was focused on the possibilities that the concomitant administration of either sucralfate or TDB may affect the absorption of orally administered ranitidine. Ranitidine and DWP302 were orally administered to rats at a dose of ranitidine 10mg/kg. Several rats showed the biphasic peak of plasma concentration. AUCs0-8 of ranitidine and DWP302 group were found to be 1040 +/- 109 and 945 +/- 124ng.hr/ml, respectively, and there was no significant difference between both AUCs. In a cross-over study for dogs, Cmax t1/2 beta and total AUC of ranitidine group were found to be 625.8 +/- 86.7ng/ml, 2.80 +/- 0.28 hr and 1688 +/- 127ng.hr/ml, and those of DWP302 group were 562.6 +/- 120.9ng/ml, 3.05 +/- 0.30 hr and 1673 +/- 123ng.hr/ml, respectively. There was no significant difference between those parameters, but Tmax of DWP302 group (1.69 +/- 0.31 hr) was significantly different from ranitidine group (1.13 +/- 0.26 hr). The results suggest that either sucralfate or TDB may affect the lag-time or rate of absorption of ranitidine but not the extent of absorption.

멸치젓으로부터 추출한 칼슘이 체내의 칼슘대사에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 흰쥐를 대상으로 칼슘급원을 달리하여 섭취시킨 후 체내의 골격대사에 관련된 지표를 비교 평가하였다. 식이구성은 탄산칼슘군(calcium carbonate, CC), 젖산칼슘군(calcium lactate, CL), 해조칼슘군(seaweed calcium, SC), 멸치칼슘(anchovy calcium, AC), 저칼슘(low calcium, LC)군으로 총 5군으로 구성하였으며, 실험결과는 다음과 같다. 실험 종료까지의 체중은 탄산칼슘을 섭취한 CC군과 AC군에서 가장 많이 증가하였으며, LC군에서 체중 증가가 낮았고 식이섭취량도 LC군에서 가장 낮았으며, 정상 칼슘군에서는 차이를 보이지 않았다. 칼슘 섭취량은 LC군에서 가장 낮은 수치를 나타내었고 정상칼슘군들 사이에는 유의적인 차이가 없었다. 칼슘 흡수율은 LC군에서 가장 높게 나타나 식이 칼슘수준이 적을수록 흡수율이 높아지는 것을 알 수 있었다. 칼슘 보유량은 저칼슘군에서 가장 낮았으며, CC군, CL군, AC군은 SC군에 비해 유의적으로 높은 수치를 나타내었다. 혈중 ALP 수준은 LC군에서 유의하게 높은 반면 정상칼슘군에서는 낮게 나타났으며, 특히 CC군과 AC군에서 현저히 낮게 나타났다. 칼시토닌 농도는 LC군에서 정상칼슘군보다 유의적으로 낮게 나타났고(p<0.05) 요중 DPD 수치는 LC군에서 가장 높은 수치를 보였으며, CC군과 AC군에서 유의적으로 낮은 수치를 보였다. 대퇴골의 체중 100g당 습윤무게는 실험군간에는 차이를 나타내지 않았으나, 건조무게는 정상칼슘군보다 LC군에서 유의적으로 낮은 결 과를 보였다(p<0.05). 대퇴골의 골밀도는 LC군에서 정상칼슘군에 비해 유의하게 낮았고(p<0.05), 동일한 정상수준의 칼슘이 공급된 실험군 사이에서는 CL군에서 AC, CC, SC보다 유의적인 차이는 아니지만 감소경향을 보였다. 실험동물의 칼슘대사에 관련된 호르몬의 변화나 대퇴골의 골밀도 결과로 보아 멸치젓에서 추출한 칼슘은 기존에 사용해오던 탄산칼슘 수준으로 칼슘대사에 긍정적인 가치를 부여할 수 있을 것으로 사료되고, 멸치 부산물을 활용한 칼슘제 개발에 응용할 수 있을 것으로 본다. This study was conducted to examine the effect of calcium extracted from salted anchovy (Engraulis japonicus) on the calcium metabolism of rats. Sprague-Dawley male rats were fed low-calcium diets (0.15%) for 2 weeks after the adjustment period. Rats were divided into five groups and were fed experimental diet for four weeks. Experimental diets were low calcium (LC, 0.15% CaCO3), 0.5% CaCO3 (CC), seaweed calcium (SC), calcium lactate (LC), anchovy calcium (AC). The low-calcium diet group (LC) showed the lowest weight gain and had no differences among the groups with adequate calcium intake. Calcium retention was lowest in the LC group and higher in the CL, SC, AC groups than in SC groups. Serum alkaline phosphatase (ALP) level was highest in LC group, and significantly low in the CC and AC groups (p<0.05). Parathyroid hormone and osteocalcin levels showed no differences among experimental groups. The urine deoxypyridinoline (DPD) level was lower in AC and CC groups compared to the LC group (p<0.05). The dry weight of the femur showed no significant differences among normal calcium groups. The bone mineral density of the femur in AC and CC group were significantly higher than the LC group (p<0.05). From these results, calcium extracted from salted anchovy can be useful as a calcium supplement comparable with calcium carbonate.

Motorized retractors enhance the safety of passengers by removing the slack of webbing and by holding upright driving position. Reliability of a driving mechanism that includes one-way clutch between the driving motor and webbing is directly linked to the safety of passenger. In this research, conditions for locking one-way clutch and also conditions for sustaining locking are theoretically investigated. the operation of a motorized retractor under realistic conditions is simulated in order to validate the proposed retractor design.

Objective : Previous studies have suggested that hyperhomocysteinemia and methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR C677T) mutations are associated with increased risk of recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA). Recently, a second site polymorphism in MTHFR, 1298A-->C, which changes a glutamic acid into an alanine residue, was shown to be associated with a decreased enzyme activity. We tested whether the variant alleles of MTHFR C677T and A1298C are risk factor (biomarker) for RSA. Materials and Methods: We analyzed DNA from a case-control study in the Korean DNA was extracted from blood samples of 118 patients with RSA and 123 healthy fertile patients as the controls. MTHFR variant alleles were determined by a PCR-restriction fragment length polymorphism assay. Results: We found no evidence for an association between 677TT genotype and risk of RSA (OR=1.95, 95% CI=$0.84{\sim}4.50$, p=0.12). However, the MTHFR 1298AC (OR=0.36, 95% CI=$0.20{\sim}0.63$, p=0.0004) and 1298AC+CC (OR=0.35, 95% CI=$0.20{\sim}0.61$, p=0.0002) genotypes were lower among 118 RSA cases compared with 123 controls, conferring a 2.8-fold decrease in risk of RSA, respectively. Moreover, the combined genotypes of MTHFR 677CC/1298AC (OR=0.30, 95% CI=$0.10{\sim}0.88$, p=0.029) and 677CT/1298AC (OR=0.77, 95% CI=$0.60{\sim}0.99$, p=0.043) also showed significantly lower risk than those with MTHFR 677CC/1298AA type. Conclusion: MTHFR 1298AC, MTHFR 677CC/1298AC and 677CT/1298AC genotypes may represent genetic markers for the protection of RSA at least in Korean women.

The wear resistance of electroless Ni-P-X(X A1203, Diamond) composite coating layers was studied by Taber abrasion test technique. The wear resistance of composite coating layers was particularly relied upon the codeposited content, particle size and distribution of particles, and heat treatment of coating layers, as well as the electroless nickel plating bath employed. In this study, we lay emphasis on the wear resistance of electroless composite coating layers containing A1203 particles(1.2~Im, 6.7hIm, 11.5lIm, 20l1m) or diamond particles (1.5jim, 5gm). From the result of composite coating A1203 and diamond particles, the wear resistance of composite coating layers is as follows.
