공공도서관 이용자의 다문화서비스에 대한 인식 연구

This study aims to investigate the perception of public library users, who are local residences, on the multi-cultural services in public libraries using a series of statistical analyses on a questionnaire survey. The objectives of multi-cultural policies by Korean government are to foster assimilation of the multi-cultural people, social unification of Korean (local) communities, and cultural diversity in the communities. The results from the analyses show that the multi-cultural services in public libraries are understood from the unification and assimilation point of views, and that the perception of the multi-cultural services in public libraries is affected by the libraries' marketing activities, such as advertisements and participation. For the sustainable provision of the services, we suggest that the libraries would better consider 1) multi-oriented services with cultural diversity, assimilation, and social unification, 2) relationship with other multi-cultural agencies in a community, and 3) the perception of local residences on the services in public libraries. 본 연구에서는 공공도서관 다문화서비스에 대한 공공도서관 이용자의 인식을 조사하기 위해 설문조사를 통한 통계분석을 실시하였다. 정부의 다문화정책은 부처에 따라 크게 동화/적응, 사회통합, 그리고 문화다양성을 지향하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 설문조사 결과 공공도서관의 다문화서비스를 바라보는 인식은 크게 사회통합과 동화의 관점에서 이해되고 있으며, 공공도서관의 다문화서비스에 대한 홍보 및 참여와 같은 마케팅활동이 다문화서비스의 인식 및 필요성에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 분석을 기반으로 지속적인 공공도서관의 다문화서비스 제공을 위하여 1) 다양한 다문화정책 지향점, 2) 지역의 다문화 관련기관과의 관계, 그리고 3) 지역주민의 공공도서관 다문화서비스에 대한 인식 등을 고려할 필요성을 논의하였다.

대학도서관 통계분석을 통한 대학도서관 성과 및 영향요인에 대한 연구

본 연구는 한국교육학술정보원(KERIS)이 운영하는 학술정보통계시스템(rinfo.kr)의 2010-2013년간 대학도서관통계를 대상으로 지속가능성에 기반한 경영자원 확보를 성과요소로 한 탐색적 통계분석을 목표로 한다. 이를 위해 선행되는 영향요소 및 후행되는 성과요소를 고려하고 규모 및 사회경제적인 외부변인들을 통제하기 위한 변화율 중심의 변수를 산출하는 전처리 방법을 통계에 적용하였으며, 이를 통한 변수를 대상으로 요인분석과 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 요인분석 결과 13개의 요인을 추출할 수 있었으며, 회귀분석 결과 대학도서관 경영자원 확보에 영향을 미치는 변수를 확인하였다. 분석결과를 바탕으로 극단값의 문제, 변수 간 낮은 상관성, 그리고 낮은 효과크기를 배경으로 한 새로운 변수의 개발을 논의하였다. 본 연구를 통해 지속가능성에 기반한 대학도서관의 통계체계, 평가, 나아가 경영에 대한 논의가 확산되기를 기대한다. The goal of this study is an exploratory statistical analysis of the university and college library statistics in the Academic Information Statistics System(rinfo.kr) governed of Korean Education and Research Information Service(KERIS) with performance measures based on sustainability. For the goal, we adopt a preprocessing method to develop change-rate variables by considering preceding predictive elements and succeeding performance elements, and to control external factors, such as size and socioeconomic factors. Then we execute a series of factor analyses and multiple linear regression analyses. 13 factors are extracted by the factor analyses and some sets of significant variables affecting the performance measures are identified through the regression analyses. Based on the results, we discuss the problem of out-lier and low correlation between variables. A suggestion for developing new variables is also discussed based on low effect sizes of the developed regression models. We hope that this study contributes to diffuse discussions on statistics system, evaluation, and further library management based on sustainability.

공공도서관 다문화서비스의 주민 인식에 관한 탐색적 연구

As Korea becomes a multi-cultural society, Korean government ministries are enforcing various multi-cultural services. Especially, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, which is in charge of public libraries, is operating multi-cultural services for cultural diversity. The trends in the research on the multi-cultural services in public libraries, however, are rather on adaptation of the multi-cultural people in Korea than on the cultural diversity. In this exploratory study, we investigated the perception of local residences on multi-cultural library services with several in-depth interviews with the local residences not only for the adaptation but also for the cultural diversity. The results shows that they tended to regard public libraries as an institution of local life-long education, and then they think public libraries can take a role for coping with social adaptation and prevention of social problems in terms of multi-cultural population. Based on the results, public libraries would better consider to inform their roles in this multi-cultural society to their local residences based not only on adaptation but also on cultural diversity. For this, the libraries would develop programs, in which both multi-cultural and non-multi-cultural people can be participated, to encourage communication between them. 우리나라가 점점 다문화사회로 진입하면서 여러 정부 부처는 다양한 다문화서비스를 시행하고 있다. 특히 공공도서관을 관장하는 문화체육관광부는 문화다양성의 증진을 다문화 서비스의 주목적으로 하고 있으나, 문헌정보학계의 다문화서비스연구는 다문화인의 적응/동화에 초점을 맞춘 서비스 방안에 집중되어 있으며, 문화다양성 및 지역주민의 다문화서비스의 인식에 대한 연구는 찾아보기 어렵다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 공공도서관 다문화서비스에 대한 지역주민의 인식을 이해하기 위한 탐색적 접근을 시도하였다. 이를 위해 지역주민을 대상으로 한 심층면담을 통한 질적 연구를 시도하였다. 그 결과 응답자들은 다문화서비스의 사회적응과 사회문제의 예방 및 대비 등에 가치를 두고 있었다. 이러한 결과는 지역주민들에게 공공도서관은 지역사회교육기관으로 간주되고, 이를 기반으로 다문화 관련 문제에 기여할 수 있다는 공통적인 인식을 기반하고 있는 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 공공도서관은 적응 및 동화뿐만 아니라 문화다양성 등에 기반한 다문화서비스에 대한 당위성을 지역주민에게 인식시키고, 이를 위해 지역 내 다문화인과 비다문화인 모두가 참여할 수 있는 서비스를 모색할 필요가 있는 것으로 판단된다.

교사의 학교도서관 인식에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구: 경기도 초등학교를 대상으로

In order for school library to fully serve as a key educational element of a school, teachers' positive perception on the library's role is essential. Due to the lack of the perception, however, school libraries are not closely related to class activities in practice. Since teachers' perception on school library has been regarded as an given environmental factor in the field of school libraries, alternatives for revitalizing school libraries proposed in previous studies were not effective in practice. We developed a hypothesis that activities in school libraries have a certain impact on the teachers' perception, and tested the hypothesis and identified library factors to the perception in this study. Through a series of statistical analyses with the data from a questionnaire survey with teachers in elementary schools, we identified that the teachers perceived the library as non-curricular element, their perceptions were affected by the library. Consequently, the school library can influence the teachers' perveption. This study has implications to explore practical alternatives to improve the teachers' perception on school libraries by activities in school libraries. 학교도서관이 학교에서 핵심적인 교육요소로서 제 역할을 다하기 위해서는 교사의 학교도서관의 역할에 대한 적절한 인식이 필요하다. 그러나 지금까지 학교도서관에서 교사인식은 외부 환경 요인으로 간주되어 왔다. 이에 본 연구는 교사의 학교도서관 인식이 학교도서관 요인에 의해 형성되었음을 전제로 하고, 그 요소들을 파악하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 초등학교 교사를 대상으로 조사한 설문 데이터를 통계적으로 분석하여 학교도서관과 교사인식 간의 관계를 검증하였다. 그 결과, 교사의 학교도서관에 대한 일반적인 인식은 비교과교육적이고, 이는 학교도서관의 활동에 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났으며, 따라서 학교도서관이 통제 가능한 요소로 판단되었다. 본 연구는 학교 교사의 학교도서관에 대한 인식을 도서관의 관점에서 적극적으로 해석하여 그 인식에 영향을 미치는 학교도서관 요인을 파악함으로써 교사인식의 개선방안을 학교도서관 활동에서 모색하였다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다.

대학도서관 서비스 개발을 위한 이용자 정보요구 및 정보행위 연구

본 연구는 대학도서관의 서비스 개발을 위해 대학을 둘러싼 환경에 대한 인식에 기반하여 이용자가 가진 정보요구와 정보행위를 탐색하였다. 질적 데이터의 내용분석 결과, 심층면담 참여자들은 사회, 교육, 연구 환경의 변화를 경험하면서, '적합성, 최신성, 고유성, 신뢰성, 현장성, 편의성'의 6가지 특성을 띠는 심층적 정보요구를 갖고 있었다. 참여자들은 정보요구를 해결하기 위해 정보매체와 인적자원, 그리고 장소매체를 활용하고 있었다. 이러한 정보행위를 수행하는 가운데, 참여자들의 신분이나 주제분야, 소속대학을 뛰어넘어 공통적으로 겪고 있는 정보문제로서 '개개인의 미디어·정보활용역량 차이, 대학간 자원인프라 격차, 저작권과 소통채널의 문제' 등을 발견하였다. 이에 본 연구는 대학도서관서비스 방향성으로 '개인화된 미디어·정보리터러시 서비스, 정보요구 특성에 부합하는 장소매체로서의 도서관, 인적교류장소로서 자원인프라플랫폼, 접근성 높은 정보매체 활용지원 서비스'를 제시하였다. This study explored the user's information needs and information behavior for the development of academic library services. The content analysis of qualitative data showed that the in-depth interview participants have six types of information needs such as 'suitability, up-to-dateness, uniqueness, reliability, practicality, and convenience' while going through societal, educational, and research-related changes. Interview participants solved their information needs by acquiring the resources necessary for each individual's task through information behaviors using information media, human resources and the places. Each participant tried to solve his/her information problem through individual efforts based on their different media and information utilization capabilities. Based on the analysis, this study presented four directions in the development of academic library services. They are an personalized information literacy service, a space to meet the characteristics of information needs, an infrastructure platform for exchanging human resources, and an accessible support service for utilizing information media.

독서수준과 학습만화 이용행태가 학습능력에 미치는 영향 - 초등학교 고학년 학생을 중심으로 -

본 연구는 독서수준에 따른 단계별 학습만화 이용행태가 학습능력에 미치는 영향에 대해 독서수준이 다양한 학생들을 대상으로 질적 연구방법을 통해 조사 분석하였다. 학생들은 학습만화 반복읽기 과정에서 독서수준에 따라 동일주제의 단계별 학습만화를 이용하는 행태를 보였다. 이러한 학습만화 이용행태는 관련 주제의 일반도서 읽기로의 전이를 돕고, 학습만화가 교과단원의 이해를 위한 참고서 역할을 함으로써 학습능력에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 학습만화를 이용한 자기주도적 학습법과 학습만화 읽기 개선을 통한 효율적인 독서지도안이 개발되기를 기대한다. The aim of this study is to analyze the impact of step-by-step educational comic book behavior of the elementary school students and their reading levels on their learning competencies. To this end, qualitative research with focus group and deep interviews was conducted with students on different reading levels. During their repetitive reading activities, the students tended to use various educational comics within the same subjects area on their corresponding reading levels. Such behavior led the students to further read other books than comics in the similar subjects areas, and by doing so, the books acted as an important reference to the students' class materials. It was found that the students' such behavior has positive impact on the improvement of their learning competencies. It is hoped that this study will be supportive to develop self-study methods and effective reading guidance plans by improving the usage of educational comics.

청소년의 지속적 독서태도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구: 중학교 학생을 중심으로

본 연구는 청소년의 지속적 독서태도를 강화하기 위한 독서교육 방안을 제시하기 위해 지속적 독서태도에 영향을 미치는 요인 검토를 목적으로 한다. 이를 위하여 우선 중학교 학생을 대상으로 한 심층면담을 통해 지속적 독서태도에 영향을 주는 요인들을 탐색하고, 이를 기반으로 개발된 설문지를 이용하여 서울 소재 중학생을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과 학교의 환경요인, 학생 개인 특성 및 흥미, 그리고 독서교육에 대한 인식이 지속적 독서태도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 학교의 환경개선과 긍정적인 독서태도를 형성하기 위한 흥미 중심 독서교육의 필요성을 확인하였으며, 성별과 학년에 따른 독서교육방법의 차별화를 제안하였다. 본 연구는 지속적 독서태도 강화를 위한 학교도서관 독서교육의 방향을 제시하였다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다. This study aims to identify factors to the sustainable reading attitude for making suggestion of the measures in reading education to strengthen the sustainable reading attitude. First of all, a set of in-depth interviews as a pilot was conducted with middle school students to search the factors, then a questionnaire was developed based on the pilot and existing research reports to survey middle school students in Seoul metropolitan area. The results from the analysis of the survey data showed that environmental factors in the schools, individual characteristics, such as grade and gender, interests, and perceptions of reading education significantly influenced the sustainable reading attitude, statistically. This study has implications to suggest the practical direction of desirable reading education to strengthen the sustainable reading attitude.

중학생의 독서방법, 자기효능감이 진로성숙에 미치는 영향

청소년의 진로 교육에서 다양한 교육적 시도가 이루어지고 있음에도 불구하고 진로성숙에 필요한 독서 방법을 제시하지 못하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 인지적 관점에서의 독서가 진로성숙에 미치는 영향을 파악하고 이 과정에서 자기효능감의 매개효과를 확인하고자 한다. 2015 개정 교육과정에 제시된 독서방법을 차용하였으며 중학생을 대상으로 인터뷰를 진행하고 설문 데이터를 통계적으로 분석하여 독서방법, 자기효능감, 진로성숙의 관계를 확인하였다. 연구 결과 비판적 읽기는 진로 결정성, 확신성에 영향을 주며 감상적 읽기와 창의적 읽기는 진로 준비성에 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 비판적 읽기는 자기효능감의 자신감, 자기조절효능감, 과제난이도선호에 영향을 미치고 창의적 읽기는 자기조절효능감에 영향을 미쳤다. 비판적 읽기는 자기효능감을 매개하여 진로성숙에 영향을 주는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 진로독서교육에서 진로성숙과 자기효능감 발달을 위한 학습요소를 밝혔다는 점에서 의의가 있다. Regardless of previous educational attempts in youth career education, there are not specific methods for reading to improve career maturity yet. This study aims to identify the reading method based on cognitive aspect which impacts career maturity and the mediation effect of self-efficacy in this process. This study tries to understand the roles of reading by applying the various reading methods suggested in the 2015 Revised National Curriculum. Data was collected through interviews and statistical analysis from a survey completed by middle school students. Findings showed that critical reading affected the decisiveness as well as the confidence of career maturity. Also, emotional reading and creative reading influenced the preparation of career maturity. Critical reading impacted all subvariables of self-efficacy - confidence, self-regulating efficacy, and task difficulty preference. Findings also showed that emotional reading affected self-regulating efficacy. Ultimately, the confidence of self-efficacy partly mediated critical reading and decisiveness. This study contributes to guiding reading instructions for practitioners and school curriculums to develop career maturity and self-efficacy.

학교도서관의 도서반 활동이 학생들에게 미치는 마케팅 효과 분석 연구

본 연구는 학교도서관의 도서반 활동이 이용자인 학생들과 학교도서관에 미치는 영향을 마케팅 관점에서 살펴보고, 도서반을 이용한 학교도서관 마케팅 방안을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 서울 및 경기지역 소재 중학교 9개교를 대상으로 설문조사를 하여 가설 검증을 위한 통계적 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 충성도를 포함한 학교도서관의 마케팅 효과는 내부 및 체험마케팅 요소와 같은 도서반의 활동 특성에 의해 영향을 받는 것으로 확인되었다. 또한, 도서반의 활동이 효과적인 구전마케팅으로 연결될 수 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 이를 기반으로 학교도서관 마케팅에 도서반을 활용한 방안을 제시하였다. This study aims to examine the effect of students' library after-school activities on the students and the school library from a marketing perspective and to recommend marketing strategies for school libraries. For the purpose, a questionnaire survey was conducted at nine middle schools in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, and a series of statistical analyses with the survey data was performed in order for hypothesis testing. The results suggest that the effects of the school library marketing including customer loyalty were influenced by the student assistants' activities such as internal and experiential marketing factors. Furthermore, the activities of student library assistants can be linked to word-of-mouth marketing. Based on the results, ways to use student assistants in school library marketing are suggested.

도서관 및 지역 특성이 도서관 이용자의 다문화 인식에 미치는 영향

한국 사회에서 다문화인이 겪는 편견과 차별로 인한 어려움을 해결하기 위해서는 시민들의 다문화 인식이 고양될 필요가 있으며, 공공도서관은 시민이 다문화에 대한 이해의 폭과 기회를 넓혀 나가는 문화 교류의 장으로 시민의 다문화 인식에 영향을 미칠 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 공공도서관 및 지역의 특성에 따라 공공도서관 일반 이용자의 다문화 인식에 차이가 있는지 살펴보고, 어떤 특성이 다문화 인식에 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 하였다. 그 결과, 도서관별로 도서관 이용자의 다문화 인식에 유의한 차이가 있음을 파악하였고, 이를 통해 도서관 특성이 이용자의 다문화 인식에 영향을 미친다는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 공공도서관이 전반적인 서비스 제공에 있어 문화다양성 측면을 고려하여야 할 필요가 있음을 제시하였다. To resolve the problem that multicultural people in Korea suffer from difficulties especially with prejudice and discrimination, it is necessary to raise the cultural diversity in communities in Korea through cultivating multicultural awareness among non-multicultural people. In this vein, public libraries, as cultural exchange institutes, can affect multicultural awareness of the people. This study investigated how characteristics of public libraries and their local communities are related to the users' multicultural awareness. The study found that multicultural awareness of library users was significantly influenced by the characteristics of public libraries but not by the characteristics of communities. It is suggested that public libraries should consider cultural diversity on overall library services for their general users to support their multicultural awareness.
