In the 21st century knowledge-and-information-oriented age, individual diversity is emphasized, and information acquisition and consumption levels are heightened. This trend of the times refuses to accept the mass production system centering around the competition in price. In consequence, inevitably does come the age of value created in which quality goods are produced by the multikind and small quantitiy production system. Design along with information and communication as 21st century knowledge-based business is gaining ground as a main factor national competitiveness is dependent upon in this age. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to analyze the process and realities of the establishment of a firm specialized in venture design, both one of knowledge-based business and one factor which decides whether in the knowledge-and-information-oriented age, the millennium, our country will gain ground as one of the leading countries in the world or it will set in the west just like the twilight of the 20th century, and try to pave the way to promote the establishment of design venture required by this age. In a knowledge-based economic society, working methods are more important than working hours, and technical knowledge is more important than general knowledge. Desire for self-achievement is to be stronger than unilateral sense of loyalty to an organization. For the country in which there are many men of great originality who can enhance value added through incessant self-improvement, self-development and self -reformation can secure competitiveness among nations in the upcoming century.
급수가열기 충격판 설계변경에 따른 동체감육 완화에 관한 유동해석 연구

Feedwater heaters of many nuclear power plants have recently experienced wall thinning damage, which will increase as operating time progresses. As it is judged that the wall thinning damages have generated due to local fluid behavior around the impingement baffle installed in downstream of the high pressure turbine extraction steam line to avoid colliding directly with the tubes, numerical analyses using PHOENICS code were performed for two models with original clogged impingement baffle and modified multi-hole impingement baffle. To identify the relation between wall thinning and fluid behavior, the local velocity components in x-, y-, and z-directions based on the numerical analysis for the model with the clogged impingement baffle were compared with the wall thickness data by ultrasonic test. From the comparison of the numerical analysis results and the wall thickness data, the local velocity component only in the y-direction, and not in the x- and z-direction, was analogous to the wall thinning configuration. From the result of the numerical analysis for the modified impingement baffle to mitigate the shell wall thinning, it was identified that the shell wall thinning may be controlled by the reduction of the local velocity in the y-direction.

Afterfogging of the regenerative gas turbine system has an advantage over inlet fogging in that the high outlet tem-perature of air compressor makes the injection of more water and the recuperation of more exhaust heat possible. This study investigates the effects of turbine inlet temperature (TIT) on the performance of regenerative gas turbine system with afterfogging through a thermodynamic analysis model. For the standard ambient conditions and the water injection ratios up to 5%, the variation of system performance including the thermal efficiency is numerically analyzed with respect to the variations of TIT and pressure ratio. It is also analyzed how the maximum thermal efficiency, net specific work, and pressure ratio itself change with TIT at the peak points of thermal efficiency curve. All of these are found to increase almost linearly with the increases of both TIT and water injection ratio.
A Study on Product Empowerment of Medical Tourism Using Conjoint Analysis

Medical tourism involves patients intentionally leaving their home country to access non-emergency health care services abroad. Growth in the popularity of this practice has resulted in a significant amount of attention being given to it from researchers, policy-makers, and the media. Yet, there has been little effort to systematically synthesize what is known about the effects of this phenomenon and key choice factors. This study seeks to figure out, using conjoint analysis, what factors Chinese medical tourists place importance on maximizing utility when selecting their destination and propose selection attributes that can lure medical tourists to Korea. Results showed that, of destination attributes, medical technology competitiveness proved be the most important and of lower levels, international accreditation proved to have the highest utility. This article presents the findings of valuable insights to medical institutions, travel agencies and related firms in their marketing activities.
