Potential tsunamis which may occur near Ryukyu Islands were simulated. Propagation characteristics of the potential tsunamis over the southwestern sea and the influence of tsunamis on the southwestern coast of Korean Peninsula were analyzed. The shallow water area in the east sea of China and the deep water Okinawa Trough play an important role in wave transformation and propagation of the potential tsunamis. The propagation characteristics of the potential tsunamis generated near Ryukyu Islands can be described as in followings : In the first stage after generation, the tsunamis propagate with high speed both northeastward and southwestward along the Okinawa Trough. As a result the waves are elongated and the tsunami height is significantly reduced. The elongated crest of tsunamis spans the whole distance of the Okinawa Trough and lines up toward the edge of the continental shelf of East China Sea. Then, the tsunamis are propagating towards the southeast coast of China. Thus, the influence of tsunamis on the Korean coasts becomes weak.

This study was carried out to investigate the quality characteristics of bread containing mulberry fruit powder(0, 3, 6 and 9%, w/w). For color values, L, a and b values decreased with increasing the amount of mulberry fruit powder. In texture, increasing the amount of mulberry fruit powder resulted in hardness and chewiness to increase, while springiness and cohesiveness was decreased. Dough volume of bread containing mulberry fruit powder was reduced and specific loaf volume was also decreased with increasing the amount of mulberry powder. With addition of 6% mulberry powder to the bread, overall sensory score showed the highest rating, while it was minimum with 9% addition. In conclusion, it could be expected that a range of mulberry fruit breads can be developed, with good sensory properties.

본 연구에서는 지진해일 실시간 정량 대응을 위해 발생원 위치 및 지진규모에 따른 해안침수예상도 작성 방법을 제안하였으며 그 방법은 다음과 같다. 관심지역에 지진해일 피해를 발생시킬 것으로 예상되는 발생원을 선정하고 지진규모에 따른 수치모의를 수행하여 각 발생원별 지진규모별 침수예상도를 작성하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 시범적으로 동해안 임원항을 대상으로 일본 서안에 위치한 11개의 잠재 지진해일 발생원과 7개의 지진규모에 대하여 침수예상도를 작성하였다. In this study, a method to construct tsunami inundation map corresponding to the earthquake location and magnitude was proposed for tsunami real-time quantitative response. This proposed procedure can be introduced as in the followings: Potential tsunami source locations expected to cause damage in an interested area was identified. And numerical simulations were performed for various earthquake magnitudes. Based on numerical simulation results, inundation maps were constructed according to each source location and magnitude of tsunami generating earthquake. In this study, inundation maps for Imwon harbor were constructed for the 11 source locations and 7 earthquake magnitudes on a trial basis.
