Primary aldosteronism has been found more often among patients with hypertension. Primary aldosteronism can be caused by an aldosterone-producing adenoma, bilateral adrenal hyperplasia, or rarely by an adrenal carcinoma. An initial diagnostic test for aldosteronism is a measurement of the plasma renin activity and aldosterone concentration. For example, up to 20% of patients with hypertension showed increased plasma aldosterone concentration/renin activity ratio. If surgery is planned, an adrenal vein sampling is necessary for exact localization. Spironolactone, an aldosterone antagonist, is the drug of choice for patients with an aldosterone-producing adenoma or hyperplasia. It can control elevated blood pressure in most primary aldosteronism patients. However, unilateral laparoscopic adrenalectomy is the best treatment for aldosterone-producing adenoma or asymmetrical aldosterone production in patients with uncontrolled hypertension. Here we report a patient with primary aldosteronism caused by unilateral adrenal hyperplasia and a contralateral adrenal adenoma who required as many as five different kinds of antihypertensive medications for controlling elevated blood pressure. The adrenal adenoma was successfully removed by unilateral adrenalectomy and the blood pressure had been controlled well after the surgery.

팀장의 역할이 팀 효과성에 미치는 영향: 팀원의 팀장수용도 조절효과를 중심으로

본 논문은 팀제 확산에 따른 팀장의 역할과 팀 효과성에 미치는 팀원의 팀장수용도 조절효과에 관한 연구이다. 본 연구에서는 Quinn의 경쟁가치모형을 기반으로 팀장의 역할 유형을 비전제시형, 과업지시형, 분석가형 및 동기부여형 4개로 분류하였다. 팀 효과성은 정량적 지표 팀의 성과인 매출액과 이직률, 정성적 차원 지표인 팀원의 정서적 몰입을 채택하여 사용하였다. 연구 결과, 과업지시형, 분석가형, 동기부여형인 팀장은 정량적 지표인 팀 성과에 정(+)의 효과를 보여 주었으며, 동기부여형 팀장은 팀 성과 뿐 아니라 정성적 지표인 팀원의 정서적 몰입에도 정(+)의 효과를 주는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 팀원의 팀장수용도는 팀장의 역할이 팀 효과성에 미치는 영향에 조절 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 팀장의 역할행동이 팀장을 수용하고자 하는 팀원의 태도와 상호작용할 때 팀의 성과와 구성원의 정서적 몰입에 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 특히, 본 연구의 결과 팀장의 역할에 따른 정량적인 팀 성과에 관한 영향력 검증과 팀원의 팀장에 대한 수용이라는 심리적 측면을 팀 성과와 함께 다루었다는 점은 실증적 차원에서 의의가 있으며, 팀의 효과성을 높이기 위한 팀장 및 팀원의 행동과 태도를 다루었다는 점에서 실무적인 시사점을 줄 수 있다. This research is designed for studying between leader's role and team effectiveness. We used the Quinn's leader model as independent variable and leader acceptance as moderator. The team effectiveness which is result variable were measured in the ratio of sales improvement, turnover rate and team member’s commitment. For practical proof of this research, we took a questionaries to teams on education company. The results of the study are as follows:First, team leader as task master, analyzer and motivator have positive effect on team performance. And motivator affects positive effects to member’s commitment only. Second, subordinate’s acceptance of team leader have positive effect on team performance. Meanwhile, analysis showed that team performance and turnover behavior has meaningful correlations with team leader's role in team and high subordinate’s acceptance rate as moderate. Based on discussion of findings, this research discussed study implications, limitations of present study and future research.

The Artificial Plaque Removal Effect at the Gingival Sulcus by Use of Newly Designed Sulcus Cleansing Tooth-Brush

Objective: Effective removal of the dental plaque in the gingival sulcus and proper massage of the gingiva have been the important things to control the early stage of gingivitis, through the development of newly designed tooth-brush use. Methods: Three groups of materials were classified as experimental group for sulcus tooth-brush, positive control group as using the modified sulcus tooth-brush, and the control group as the plane tooth-brush as Buttler No. 209. Partial dentition model was produced as frontal and posterior portion by use of the extracted teeth on Molar teeth and upper anterior teeth on the dental plaster covered with the latex typed and open and close typed artificial gingiva. 10 times back and forth movement tooth-brushing was performed to all groups of the dental models, painted with the artificial plaque and plaque dying on the tooth surface and in the gingival sulcus, by use of the automatic tooth-brushing machine. The residual amounts of the artificial plaque was calculated and estimate the relative amounts of the removal of the artificial plaque in the dental plaque on each group, and compared them each others. Results: The clearance area of the artificial plaque in the gingival sulcus area was more in experimental group or positive control group than that of the control group at all portions of the tooth both in anterior and posterior teeth. Conclusion: Sulcus cleansing U-shaped tooth-brush was recommended to use for the Bass technique tooth-brushing in order to cleansing the dental plaque.

새 창조에서의 부부 관계

이제 우리는 예수님의 죽음과 부활의 복음(euangelion)으로 인해 은혜안에서 그 분을 믿음으로써 새 창조의 세계에 들어왔다. 하나님의 뜻은 새롭게 창조 받은 바 우리 삶의 현장에서 복음이 실재화(realize)되는 것이며, 이는 부부 사이의 모든 관계 안에서도 누려져야 한다. 일방적으로 한쪽 편의 굴종이나 그에 따른 학대는 복음 안에 존재하지 않는다. 그리스도께서 남자와 여자 모두에게 주신 복음 안에서의 자유와 해방은 가정에서도 행복함 가운데 누리도록 새 창조되었다. 이상에서 살펴본 바, 성경적인 새 창조의 부부 관계의 바른 이해는 그리스도를 경외함으로써 남편과 아내가 피차 복종하여 돕고 서로에게 자신을 내어줌으로써 함께 그리스도의 뜻을 이뤄나간다고 정리할 수 있다. 이와 같이 크리스천 부부의 사명은 그리스도를 경외함으로써 복음으로 세워진 남녀의 동등성 위에 상호주의를 실천하며, 피차 친밀함 중에 하나가 되어 온전한 연합을 이룬 관계로서 자녀들과 주변 사람들에게 축복의 통로가 되는 것이다. 이런 새 창조의 가족 관계를 성경적 관점으로 적용하고 역동적인 과정으로 개발시킬 수 있도록 의미 있는 도움의 글을 써 준 발스위크(Balswick) 박사 부부(1991)의 가족 관계 신학 4단계를 소개함으로써 끝을 맺는다.

한국현대건축(韓國現代建築)에 나타난 미디어적 표현(表現) 특성(特性)에 관한 연구(硏究)

In contemporary architecture, there are developing aspects of variety design in material, image and form. These various architectural trends even change classical media and this concept is based on the background of current idea - digital, information-media, imagination with paradigm. So this study aims to show the present status of the expressions in the contemporary architecture of Korea under its media situation. Namely usual thoughts for design have to be changed because our life is surrounded by many kinds of powerful media signs and various mixed cultural circumstances. And like this, we know for study about the relation between media and current architecture, still more Korean present condition. In chapter one, the background, purpose and method of study are explained. In chapter two, the general concept of media is inquired in this study. In the process of searching for the formingbasic background, the characteristic of this study is understood. In chapter three, this study inquires the aspect of media expression in modern architecture. In chapter four, according to chapter three, this study shows the present status of media expressions in the contemporary architecture of Korea. In chapter five, a synthetic conclusion is presented.

Guaiane Sesquiterpenoids from Torilis japonica and Their Cytotoxic Effects on Human Cancer Cell Lines

A new compound 2 and two known guaiane-type sesquiterpenoids were isolated from the methylene chloride-soluble fraction of the methanolic extract of the fruits of Torilis japonica (Umbelliferae) through repeated silica gel and Sephadex LH-20 column chromatography. Their chemical structures were elucidated as torilin (1), 11-acetoxy-8-angeloyloxy-1β-hydroxy-4- guaien-3-one (1β-hydroxytorilin, 2), and 11-acetoxy-8-angeloyloxy-1α-hydroxy-4-guaien-3-one (1α-hydroxytorilin, 3) by spectroscopic analysis. Compounds 1-3 exhibited cytotoxicity against human A549, SK-OV-3, SK-MEL-2, and HCT15 tumor cells.

This study focuses on women and fashion in Korea between the 1960s and 1970s, when the government regulated the socio-cultural aspects of individuals while achieving remarkable economic industrialization, particularly through the representative popular weekly magazine ‘Sunday-Seoul’. The scope of this study included 168 issues from September 22, 1968 to December 26, 1971. Two research methods were applied, literature research and content analysis research. First, the literature on Korean society, culture, women‘s fashion, the sociological, feminine and popular cultural studies were reviewed. Thereafter, the contents, cover, articles, pictorials were collected and analyzed for classification and identification of the women’s images and women's fashion. In the case of fashion articles, the contents of vocabulary and description texts were highlighted, and in the case of pictorials, the visual elements such as images, silhouettes of clothes, details of features, and patterns of materials were assessed. The images of women in Sunday Seoul's articles and pictorials exhibited extreme opposite, presenting the most important purpose of marriage, 'wise mother and good wife' and 'image of sexual object' for men. The two images of women differed; however, there was one more female image ‘industrial laborer’ which was placed in the blind spot of interest. The characteristics of fashion which appeared in ‘Sunday-Seoul’ were ‘uniform modern elegance’ based on neat mini-style, and ‘sexual image of exposure fashion’ which endeavored to selectively borrow from overseas pictorials and trend-oriented articles. This could be viewed as a 'transformation of traditional Hanbok', 'avant-garde trend' and 'de-sexualization & indifference of fashion’.
