Kalsilite (KAlSiO4) system undergoes a displacive phase transition from hexagonal phase with p63 space group to the phase with P63mc at 886$^{\circ}C$. The flux composition having kalsilite :K2O:B2O3=1:2:2 has enabled the growth of hexagonal kalsilite with the size of 0.5~1 mm at a slow cooling rate (0.3$^{\circ}C$/hr). On decreasing the cooling rate the size has increased and pyramidal (1011) faces are newly developed with the shape of (0001) and (1010) faces. Upon stirring (1011) faces are degraded. The space group of O1 and O2 are P21221 and C2221 respectively. Their orthorombic modification O1 and O2 are synthesized at relatively low and high temperature respectively.
Enhancement of Gene Delivery to Cancer Cells by a Retargeted Adenovirus

The inefficiency of in vivo gene transfer using currently available vectors reflects a major hurdle in cancer gene therapy. Both viral and non-viral approaches that improve gene transfer efficiency have been described, but suffer from a number of limitations. Herein, a fiber-modified adenovirus, carrying the small peptide ligand on the capsid, was tested for the delivery of a transgene to cancer cells. The fiber-modified adenovirus was able to mediate the entry and expression of a β-galactosidase into cancer cells with increased efficiency compared to the unmodified adenovirus. Particularly, the gene transfer efficiency was improved up to 5 times in OVCAR3 cells, an ovarian cancer cell line. Such transduction systems hold promise for delivering genes to transferrin receptor overexpressing cancer cells, and could be used for future cancer gene therapy.

지금까지 추진해온 전자정부에 대한 성과 및 한계를 점검하고 차세대 전자정부의 비전과 전략을 수립하는 데 있어서, 유비쿼터스 전자정부의 가능성과 추진방향을 탐색한다. 현재 유선인터넷 기반의 전자정부는 유비쿼터스 전자정부로 가는 초기단계로 파악할 수 있을 것이다. 유비쿼터스 전자정부는 모바일 단말기, DTV, KIOSK, 전화기 등으로 전자정부에 대한 접근 매체를 다양화하여 접근성을 제고하는 방향 이외에도, 이제까지 제공하지 못하였던 새로운 영역에서의 전자정부 서비스 창출과 연계하여 언제, 어디서나 필요한 정부서비스를 제공받는 고도화된 전자정부의 궁극적인모습이다.

Visual effects are important cues for providing occupants with virtual reality in a vehicle simulator which imitates real driving. The viewpoint of an occupant is sensitively dependent upon the occupant's posture, therefore, the total human body motion must be considered in a graphic simulator. A real-time simulation is required for the dynamic analysis of complex human body motion. This study attempts to apply a neural network to the motion analysis in various driving situations. A full car of medium-sized vehicles was selected and modeled, and then analyzed using ADAMS in such driving conditions as bump-pass and lane-change for acquiring the accelerations of chassis of the vehicle model. A hybrid III 50%ile adult male dummy model was selected and modeled in an ellipsoid model. Multibody system analysis software, MADYMO, was used in the motion analysis of an occupant model in the seated position under the acceleration field of the vehicle model. Acceleration data of the head were collected as inputs to the viewpoint movement. Based on these data, a back-propagation neural network was composed to perform the real-time analysis of occupant motions under specified driving conditions and validated output of the composed neural network with MADYMO result in arbitrary driving scenario.
