        The octadodecanoxy derivative of the phthalocyanine which has such long hydrocarbon chains around the skeleton of the phthalocyanine was synthesized. First of all, ortho-catechol was treated with 2 moles of 1-bromododecane to yield ortho-didodecanoxybenzene(I). Second, bromination of I resulted in dibromo-didodecanoxy benzene(II) where the para positions to the dodecanoxy groups were brominated. Finally, reaction of II with an excess of CuCN under an N₂atmosphere gave the intermediate dicyano-didodecanoxy-benzene(III), in situ, and futher heating in dry DMF with more CuCN gave the final product, octadodecanoxy derivative of the phthalocyanine. The synthetic method developed herein provides a general way to synthesize the variety of the phthalocyanines which displays many different substituents such as long hydrocarbons around its skeleton and contains a various metal inside of the phthalocyanine.

      • 비만을 동반한 위암 환자에서 두 병을 같이 수술 치료한 경험(증례)

        Obesity is growing problem in Korea. We had a case of bariatric surgery during gastric cancer operation. Patient was 29 year old Korean lady with early gastric cancer located in the lesser curvature side of the middle 1/3 of the stomach. Her body weight was 89 kg, height 163 cm, and thus body mass index was 33.5 kg/m2. Preoperative blood pressure was 130/90 mmHg, hemoglobin 12.9 g/dL, total lymphocyte count 3,280/mL, serum albumin 4.3 g/dL, CEA 1.1 ng/mL, CA 19-9 9.1 ng/mL, and alpha fetoprotein 2 ng/mL. Another associated disease was right thyroid follicular neoplasm. The chest X-ray was normal. After IM injection of 2,500 units of heparin 30 minutes before the induction of general anesthesia, she received curative subtotal gastrectomy and Roux en Y gastrojejunostomy when a malabsorption loop of 120 cm jejunum was incorporated between the Treitz ligament and the end to side jejuno-jejunostmy site at May 29th 2006. Her postoperative course was uneventful except a minor wound seroma and the elevations of serum amylase(up to 4 folds) and lipase(up to 2 folds). She lost her body weight 9 kg in 5th, 21 kg in 7th, and 27 kg in 10th postoperative months to became 61.5 kg. On follow up exams in July 2008, she gained 4 kg to overcome her weakness and fatigue. From the above result, the incorporation of a malabsorption loop during reconstruction phase of gastric cancer operation was a good option for obese gastric cancer patients especially in cases of early gastric cancer.

        수종 수산화칼슘 제재를 이용한 근관충전 후 치근상아질에서의 염기도 변화

        The pH changes in 4 small cavities prepared at the facial inner dentin and lingual outer dentin of the cervical and apical portion of root filled with calcium hydroxide pastes were investigated. Forty extracted permanent teeth with single canal were instrumented with step-back method, and then 4 small cavities were prepared. Two inner dentin cavities were cut a distance of about 1.0㎜from the canal wall and two outer dentin cavities were cut to a depth of about 0.5㎜ from the root surface. Root canals and prepared cavities were flushed with 17% EDTA, and then irrigated with 5% NaOCI to remove smear layer. Teeth were randomly divided into four groups. Control group was not filled and the remaining other groups were filled with mixture of calcium hydroxide and distilled water, Vitapex(r) paste and Pulpdent(r) paste respectively. The pH change of the dentin in each cavity was measured at 0, 1, 3, 7, 14, 21, 28, 60, 90 days with pH microelectrode(WPI Co., USA). The results were as follows : 1. The groups obturated with Pulpdent(r) paste and Aqueous calcium hydroxide produced the increased pH level at 1 day and maintained plateau over next 3weeks and decreased after 3weeks. 2. The group obturated with Vitapex(r) paste observed no significant pH change until 2weeks and slight increased pH at 3weeks and sequential increasing after 3 weeks. But, the pH in the group obturated with Vitapex(r) paste remained significantly below the pH measured in the other two experimental groups(P<0.05). 3. All experimental groups showed pH level similar to control group after 28 days. 4. The pH of outer dentin is slightly higher than that of inner dentin. There is no significant difference in pH level between apical and cervical dentin throughout the duration of the experiment, though apical dentin showed slightly higher pH than cervical dentin at 1 day(P<0.05).

        송화분이 Chloroform 투여 흰쥐의 혈청 및 간장에 미치는 영향

        This study was attempted to investigate the effect of pine pollen on the chloroform toxicity in rat serum and liver. The subjects were administrated with the graded concentration of two different levels of chloroform(1%. 5%) and an additional amount of pollen(19%, 5%) to some groups, The results were as follows : The activity of aspartate aminotransferase(AST), alanine aminotransferase(ALT) and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) in serum, liver, and kidney increased in proportion to the chloroform concentration, but decreased in the pine pollen-treated groups. The amount of total cholesterol in serum of the chloroform administration groups was higher than that of the control group, and it decreased gradually with pine pollen administration.

        식사대용 식품(Ready-to-eat meals) 중 병원성 세균의 분포와 항생제 감수성 양상

        본 연구에서는 2005년 11월부터 2006년 3월 초까지 497개의 초밥, 김밥, 샌드위치 등의 식사대용 식품 검체를 수거하여 식품공전을 토대로 식사대용 식품에서 유래되는 미생물학적 인 오염도를 조사하고, 현대 사회에서 항생제 사용의 오남용으로 항생제 내성이 심각한 상황을고려하여 분리된 균에 대한 항생제 감수성 양상에 대하여 알아보고자 하였다. 수거된 검체를 실험한 결과 김밥에서 4개(1.4%)의 Escherichia coli가 분리되었고, 초밥, 샌드위치 등에서는 분리되지 앓았다. 또한 김밥에서 12개(4.4%), 초밥에서 8개(5.4%), 샌드위치에서 2개(4.3%)로 총22개(4.4%)의 Staphylococcus aureus가 분리되었다. 식사대용 식품에서 분리된 26개의 균주로 National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards (NCCLS)의 기준에 의거하여 vancomycin, teicoplanin, gentamycin, cipro-floxacin, synercid, cefotaxime, lincomycin, meropenem, cefazolin, amoxicillin-clavulanic acid으로 총 10개의 항생제를 사용하여 E. coli와 S. aureus의 항생제 감수성 양상을 파악해 보고자 하였다. 실험 결과 식사대용 식품에서 분리된 E. coli 4균주의 항생제 감수성 양상은 그람 음성균 치료에 주로 사용되는 항생제인 gentamycin, ciprofloxacin, cefotaxine, meropenem, cefazolin에 대해서는 감수성이 높다고 판단되었으나 amoxicillin-clavulanic acid에 대해서는 내성을 나타내었고, S. aureus의 항생제 감수성은 비교적 높다고 판단되었다. This study was performed in order to measure the level of food-borne pathogenic bacteria and antibiotic resistance pattern of found ready to eat meals such as Him-bap, Cho-bap, Hamburger, Sandwich and packed lunch boxes. A total of 497 samples were collected from supermarket and department of Seoul, Kyung-ki, Inctleon, Kang-won, Chung-Cheong from November, 2005 to March, 2006. The contaminated microorganisms were in most cases tract relative strain like E. coli and S. aureus. Result have shown E. coli was detected 4 strains and S. aureus was detected 22 strains. 26 strains were also tested the antibiotic resistance pattern. 26 strains were shown to be relatively susceptible to synercid, vancomycin, teicoplanin, ciprofloxacin, gentamycin, lincomycn, cefotaxime, meropenem, cephalosporin, amoxicillin-clavulanic acid by the MIC dilution method, but E. coli 1 strain was resistant to amoxicillin-clavulanic acid.

        쑥 급여 돼지고기의 냉장저장 중 품질특성

        쑥 분말 사료를 암돼지 및 거세돈에 첨가하여 그 수준에 따라 0%(T1, 암돼지, T2; 거세돈)와 1.5%(T3; 암돼지, T4, 거세돈)로 각 구별 45두씩 배치, 42일간 급여하여 생산된 돈육의 육질특성은 다음과 같다. 도체중량과 등지방두께는 73가 가장 낮았으며, 도체등급에서는 처리구간 유의차가 없었다(P>0.05). 쑥 분말 급여시 암돼지간(T1과 T3)에서는 조회분, 거세돈간(T2와 T4)에는 조지방 및 조회분 함량이 유의적으로 증가하였다(P<0.05). pH는 저장기간에 증가함에 따라 모든 처리구에서 감소하였으며, 쑥 분말 급여 처리구(T3와 T4)에서다소 높은 pH값을 나타내었다 드립감량은 처리구간에 일정한㎏/㎠경향을 나타내지 않았지만 저장기간이 경과함에 따라 높아졌다. 전단가(shear force, ㎏/㎠)는 T1을 제외한 모든 처리구에서 저장기간이 길어짐에 따라 감소하였다. 명도와 적색도는T3가 T1 보다 다소 높은 수치를 보였으나, 거세돈간(T2와 T4)에서는 오히려 낫게 나타났다. 저장기간이 증가함에 따라 TBARS와 VBN값은 공히 유의적으로 증가하였으며(P<0.05),쑥 분말 급여 처리구(T3 및 T4)에서 유의적으로 더 높게 나타났다(P<0.05). 지방산 분석결과, 포화지방산(saturated fatty acids)은 대조구에 비해 쑥 분말 첨가수준 증가에 따라 포화지방산은 높아지고 상대적으로 불포화지방산(unsaturated fatty acids)은 낮아지는 경향이 있었으나 유의차는 없고, 콜레스테롤의 경우에도 동일하게 유의적인 차이가 없었다. 전체적인 기호도는 신선육 및 조리육 공히 처리구가 낮은 점수를 얻었다. 향후 쑥 분말 급여에 대한 보다 많은 연구가 진행되어야 할 것으로 판단된다. This study was carried out to investigate the feeding effects of mugwort powder on meat quality characteristics for 42 days. The results obtained were as follows; Carcass weight(㎏) and backfat thickness(㎜) of T3 showed the lowest compared with other treatments. Grade scores were not significantly differ among the all treatments. In the proximate composition, crude ash content was higher(P<0.05) in the T3 than that of T1, while, crude fat and crude ash contents in T4 were higher(P<0.05) than those of T2. pH values were tended to low as storage period extended, in particular, those values slightly higher in the T3 and T4. Drip loss(%) was tended to increase during storage. Shear force(㎏/㎠) in all samples showed the decreased during the storage, except for Ti. L^(*) and a^(*) of T3 were slightly higher than those of T1, while, T4 was lower than T3. TBARS and VBN of all samples were significantly increased(P<0.05) as storage period extended, those values significantly higher(P<0.05) in the T3 and T4. There were no differences in saturated fatty acids, unsaturated fatty acids and cholesterol of pork meat between control(T1 and T2) and treatments(T3 and T4). The sensory score of pork samples fed with mugwort power were lower than that of control(T1 and T2) in both fresh and cooked meat. Further studied are needs on the pigs fed with mugwort powder.
