        Factors associated with the risk of colorectal neoplasia in young adults under age 40

        Background/Aims: Recent epidemiologic studies have shown a continued increase in colorectal cancer incidence among younger adults. Little is known about the factors that contribute to the development of young-onset colorectal neoplasia (CRN). Methods: A cross-sectional analysis was performed for individuals younger than 40 years who underwent colonoscopy in Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital and its affiliated health screening center. High-risk CRN was defined as adenoma or sessile serrated lesion ≥ 10 mm, with three or more adenomas, villous histology, high grade dysplasia, or carcinoma. Results: Of these 13,621 included participants, 2,023 (14.9%) had one and more CRN. Young patients with CRN tended to be elderly, male, obese, smoker, having a habit of drinking, and having comorbidities such as hypertension, dyslipidemia, diabetes, and chronic kidney disease. In a multivariate analysis adjusted for age, sex, obesity, smoking status, and alcohol intake, old age (odds ratio [OR], 1.086; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.054 to 1.119), male sex (OR, 1.748; 95% CI, 1.247 to 2.451), obesity (OR, 1.439; 95% CI, 1.133 to 1.828), and smoking (OR, 1.654; 95% CI, 1.287 to 2.127) were independent risk factors for overall CRN. Obesity and smoking as two modifiable factors increased the risk for high-risk CRN even more than for overall CRN (OR, 1.734; 95% CI, 1.168 to 2.575 and OR, 1.797; 95% CI, 1.172 to 2.753, respectively). Conclusions: Obesity and smoking were modifiable risk factors for CRN in young adults. They increased the risk for highrisk CRN even more than for overall CRN. A colonoscopy might be beneficial for young individuals with these factors.

        In this paper, we propose the high frequency resonant inverter of the time sharing type which has the effects that the duty cycle of each elements and the thermal loss can be reduce. The analysis of the proposed circuit is described generally by using the normalized parameters. Also, the principle of basic operation and the characteristics of drive were estimated by the switching frequency and the load parameters. And we got the data for designing by the characteristic values obtained at the estimate of characteristic. At the same time, the example of the design's method was proposed and the waveforms of simulation were compared with theoretical waveforms. It is certain that the proposed circuit will be used and expanded in the high frequency power supplies like induction heating systems.

      • 처분장근처에서 침식에 의한 Sr 화학종의 평형

        Leaching and adsorption equilibria of Sr Chemical Species from the near field of a repository has been studied in solidified cement with Fe and oxidized Fe. The absorption percent, Ads %, and distribution coefficient, K_(d) were calculated using equilibrium concentration to predict the extent of leaching and adsorption. In the mixed aqueous solutions the Ads % increase as Cement(C)/Water(W) ratios increase and K_(d) was decreased for Sr. These behaviors were discussed by adsorption and equilibrium of spiked ions. Oxides Fe promoted the adsorption of spiked ions, but pure Fe had no effect. E_(h) values were also estimated and discussed to elucidate oxidation-reduction environment of experimental system.

      • 폐콘크리트 재활용을 위한 재생골재 혼합에 따른 강도특성분석

        본 연구에서는 최근들어 다량으로 증가되고 있는 폐콘크리트의 재활용 여부를 판단하기 위해서 천연골재에 대한 재생골재를 중량비로 0%, 30%, 50%, 70%, 100%비율로 혼합한 재생콘크리트의 강도특성을 비교하였다. 재생골재 각 조합의 물성시험을 통해 골재의 물성치를 확인한 다음 콘크리트의 배합설계를 하였다. 배합설계는 상대비교를 위해 단위골재량 값만을 변화시키고 다른조건들은 동일하게 하였다.또한 플라이애쉬, 고성능 감수제를 첨가한 혼합물의 내구성과 작업성 문제에 대해서 고찰하였다. 재생골재의 물리적 특성 시험결과 재생굵은골재와 재생잔골재 모든 조합에서 비중은 KS의 1종 재생골재,흡수율은 2종 재생골재 기준을 만족하였으며, 특히 재생골재 대체율 50%까지는 자연골재와 동일한 물성값이 나타났다. 기존의 폐콘크리트는 대지조성재, 기초 매립재등으로 이용하고 있으나 본 시험을 통해 재생골재를 사용한 콘크리트의 적용이 도로포장재료로서 가능하다는 결론을 얻었다. The strength characteristics of recycled concrete is compared to study the feasibility of the recycled aggregate made of the scrapped dump cement concrete for five compound aggregate types consisted of natural aggregate and recycled aggregate as the ratio of weight(0%, 30%, 50%, 70%, 100%). First of all, the physical characteristics of recycled aggregate compounds were tested and the mix design was conducted. Every factors, except the unit aggregate amount, were fixed for the relative comparison. Fly-ash and the super water reducing agent were added to the recycled concrete to ensure the workability. The results of test, the recycled coarse aggregate, recycled fine aggregate and all compounds of recycled aggregate were satisfied with the specification(KS) of the type Ⅰ recycled aggregate in terms of the specific gravity, and the type Ⅱ specification in terms of the absorption. Especially, up to the maximum 50% replacement of recycled aggregate, the properties were equal to natural aggregate. Although most of recycled concrete were used for the land fill, this study showed the feasibility of recycled aggregate as the concrete mix.

      • 감초(Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch) 추출물이 밀가루 물성 및 빵의 품질에 미치는 영향

        甘味 添加劑로서 甘草 엑기스를 제빵제조시 添加했을 때 반죽물성과 제품품질에 미치는 影響을 측정하기 위하여 farinograh, Extensograph, Amylograph를 측정하였고, 발효팽창력, 내상, 비용적, 관능검사 등을 조사하였다. 1. 사용한 甘草의 일반성분으로는 수분 73.7%, 조단백 4.1%, 조지방 2.8%, 조회분 1.4%였다. 2. 甘草 추출물의 添加量이 많을수록 Farinogram 측정에 있어서 수분 흡수율, 도착시간, 반죽 형성시간과 기계내성지수의 값은 커졌으며 안정도는 낮아졌다. 바로리메타값은 크게 영향을 받지 않았다. 3. Extensograph 측정에 있어서는 甘草 추출물의 添加量이 증가함에 따라 신장저항도는 증가되고 신장도는 줄어들었다. 4. Amylograph 측정에 있어서는, 호화개시온도나 최고점도시 온도는 농도의 변화에 큰 차이가 없었으나, 최고점도는 甘草 추출물이 1.0% 이상시 크게 떨어지는 현상을 보였다. 5. 발효 팽창은 添加劑 증가시 감소되는 경향을 보였으며 비용적도 감소하였다. 6. 빵의 내관은 添加劑 증가시 더욱 거칠어지고, 조밀해졌으며 firmness의 증가가 뚜렷하였다. 7. 관능검사는 添加劑의 증가시 낮은 점수를 받았다. This study is to investigate the effect on the quality and properties of bread affected by licorice extract addition. The measurements of the farinograph, extensograph and amylograph on dough are cried out. And the evaluations of volumetric changes during fermentation, shape of bread crumb, sensory test, firmness are obtained results are as follows. 1. Proximate compositions of licorice extract are as follows : moisture 73.7%, crude protein 4.1%, crude lipid 2.8%, crude ash 1.4%. 2. Water absorption, arrival time, dough development time, mechanical tolerance index and valorimeter value are increased but stability is decreased with the addition of licorice extract. 3. The resistance to extension is increased but extensibility is decreased with the addition of licorice extract. 4. The initial pasting and highest viscosity temperatures are not affected but the highest viscosity is steeply decreased over 1.0% addition of licorice extract. 5. The volume of dough during fermentation and specific volume of bread is decreased with the addition of licorice extract. 6. The grain of bread is to be rough and irregular and the firmness is increased with the addition of licorice extract. 7. The records of sensory test are decreased with the addition of licorice extract.

      • 재배도라지와 재배더덕의 化學成分 比較에 관한 硏究 : 第2報 無機成分 및 Amino acid 組成 Ⅱ. Compositions of Amino acid and Minerals

        재배도라지와 재배더덕의 주요 아미노산은 16종이 밝혀졌으며, 총아미노산 함량은 각각 53.68㎎/g 및 67.03㎎/g였다. 주요 아미노산조성은 도라지에서는 arginine 37.95%, glutamic 23.42%, aspartic acid 7.69%. leucine 3.56%, alanine 3.26%, lysine 2.89%順으로 이들은 全아미노산의 78.68%를 점하였으며, 더덕에서는 arginine 49.74%, glutamic acid 15.65%, aspartic acid 6.40%, lysine 3.65%, alanine 3.08%, leucine 2.90%의 順이었으며, 이들은 全아미노산의 81.42%를 차지하였다. 무기성분은 도라지에서 9種을, 더덕에서는 8種을 확인 정량하였다. 도라지와 더덕 모두 K가 각각 9900ppm 및 14500ppm으로 가장 많았고, 다음으로 Ca로 2400ppm 및 3555ppm이었다. 무기성분의 함량크기는 도라지에서 K>Ca>Mg>Na>Fe>Mn>Zn>Cu의 順이고, 더덕은 K>Ca>Mg>Na>Mn>Fe>Zn>Cu의 順으로 나타났다. 중금속인 Pb는 도라지에만 0.1ppm이 검출되었으나 허용기준치보다 적었으며, Cd는 도라지와 더덕 모두에 검출되지 않았다. The minerals and amino acid compositions of cultivated C. lanceolata and P. glandiforum were examined as the basic research for the study of their source of processed foods and medicines. Pattern of amino acid compositions between both C. lanceolata and P. glandiflorum was similarity. Major amino acid in the C. lanceolata and P. glandiflorum were arginine (P. glandiflorum 37.95%, C. lanceolata 49.74%), glutamic acid (23.42%, 15.65%), aspartic acid (7.69%, 6.40%), leucine (3.56%, 2.90%), alanine (3.26%, 3.08%) and lysine (2.89%, 3.65%), respectively. The riches mineral contained in the C. lanceolata and P. glandiflorum was noticed to be K and followed by Ca, Mg and Na Lead content was far bellow the authorized tolerance limits in the P.glandiflorum.

      • 도로포장시공시 세립분 함유량변화에 따른 입상재료의 적용성 연구

        도로포장재료중 보조기충과 동상방지층 재료로 강자갈등의 천연재료 사용이 일반적이었으나 90년대이후 하천골재의 고갈로 인하여 석산에서 채취한 파쇄골재를 사용하고있다. 골재 생산과정에서 세립분의 혼입은 보조기층 및 동상방지층 재료의 역학적 특성과 동상에 많은 영향을 미치게 된다. 본 연구에서는 보조기층 및 동상방지층 재료의 중량비로 세립분 함유중량을 10%, 20%로 변화시키고 소성지수갑(pl)을 6, 10, 15로 변화시켜 재료의 물성시험, 다짐시험, 실내CBR시험, 투수시험, 동결융해시험을 하였다. 실내시험을 통하여 얻은 결론은 지지력, 투수성, 동결융해저항성을 만족한 보조기층은 소성지수 10, 세립분 함유량 10%까지 적용이 가능하며, 동상방지층은 소성지수 15, 세립분 함유량 10%까지 사용이 가능한 것으로 판단되었다. Generally natural materials such as river gravel are used for the subbase and non-frostsusceptible base of the pavement. However, site substitute of the crushed stone for natural materials, due to the shortage of aggregate resources has been prevail since 1990_s. The clayey soil mingles with crushed stone during the process of production, and this affects on the mechanical characteristics and the freezing of pavements. Lab tests conducted includes materials test, compaction test, CBR test, permeabillity test, and freezing & thawing test. The ratio of clay content of the specimens were 10% and 20%. the plastic index values were 6, 10, and 15. Considering the bearing capacity, permeability, and the resistance of freezing & thawing, the plastic index of 10 and the clay content of 10% for the subbase and the plastic index of 15, the day content of 10% for non-frost layer showed satisfactory results, respectively.

      • 인터리브가 삽입된 일방향 CFRP적층재의 동적층간파괴인성 특성

        In this paper, an investigation was performed on the dynamic interlaminar acture toughness of unidirectional CFRP Laminates. Inserted interleaf the stacking sequences used in this experimentation is [ /F₂/ ]. In this experiments, Split Hopkinson's Bar test was applied to dynamic and notched flexure test. The fracture toughness of unidirectional CFRP was estimated by the analyzed deflection of the specimen and J-Integral with the measured impulsive load and reactions at the supported points. As an experimental results, the specimen [ /F₂/ ] showed greater than that of [ ] for the J-integral and displacement velocity at a measuring point within the range of experiment
