      • Multiple myeloma 환자에서 Bortezomib치료 후 발생한 마비성 장폐색증 1례

        Bortezomib is the first clinically available proteasome inhibitor that is clinically effective in the treatment of multiple myeloma. A proteasome inhibitor acts through multiple mechanisms to arrest tumor growth, tumor spread, and angiogenesis. The main adverse effects of bortezomib are gastrointestinal symptoms, cytopenia, fatigue, and peripheral neuropathy. To date, severe paralytic ileus has not been reported as a toxic effect of bortezomib treatment in multiple myeloma. Bortezomib is a novel agent that has only been used clinically for 30 months, so a need exists to further evaluate its toxicity. We report a case of grade Ⅲ (NCI CTCAE v3.0) or grade Ⅳ(SWOG toxicity criteria) paralytic ileus in a 65-year-old man with relapsed multiple myeloma who underwent one cycle of single-agent bortezomib treatment scheduled in a 21-day cycle (1.3 mg/㎥ as a single i.v. bolus on days 1, 4, 8, and 11).

      • 초속경 무수축 모르터를 사용한 궤도 자갈도상의 콘크리트화에 대한 연구

        Recently, the use of concrete structures has caused renewed interest in behavior of reinforced and prestressed concrete structures subjected to cyclic loading. As a result of these innovative concrete constructions, many of the special considerations concerning fatigue of concrete structures are now being addressed. Concrete structures subjected to a large number of repeated loading will experience an increase in deflections and crack-width. This study presents the stability and serviceability of the railway slab structure when the coarse aggregates are mixed with Rapid Hardening Mortar. Flow test, uniaxial compression test, and concrete4 fatigue test are performed in the laboratory. The tests results show that initial strength of Rapid Hardening Mortar is superior to regular mortar and strengthening effect of Rapid Hardening Mortar mixed with coarse aggregates is excellent when it will be applied to the used railway structure.

        단일 단계 접착제의 변연 미세누출

        This study evaluated the marginal microleakage of five single step adhesives. Class V cavity preparations with occlusal margins in enamel and gingival margins in dentin were prepared on both buccal and lingual surfaces of extracted human molar teeth. Prepared teeth were randomly divided into five groups and restored using one of the single step adhesives and composite resins: Prompt L-Pop/Filtek Z-250 (Group 1), AQ Bond/Metafil CX (Group 2), One-Up Bond F/Palfique Toughwell (Group 3), Futurabond/Admira (Group 4), Xeno III/Spectrum TPH (Group 5). The restored teeth were thermocycled. Microleakage was assessed by dye penetration using 2% methylene blue dye solution. The teeth were bisected buccolingually and evaluated for microleakage under steromicroscope. The data were statistically analysed by Kruskal-Wallis test and Mann-Whitney tests. The results of this study were as follows; 1. Microleakage of enamel margins in group 3 was statistically higher than that in groups 1, 2, 4, 5 (p < 0.05) 2. Microleakage of dentin margins in group 1 was statistically higher than that in groups 2, 5, and that in group 3 was statistically higher than that in groups 2, 4, 5 (p < 0.05). 3. Dentin marginal microleakage was higher than enamel marginal microleakage in all experimental groups. In conclusion, Prompt L-Pop showed the least leakage at enamel margin, and AQ Bond showed at dentin margin in this study. Marginal miroleakage in dentin was higher than that in enamel.

      • 전자 디스펜서용 단일칩 제어기 설계

        The electronic dispenser is composed of electronic part and mechanical part. Electronic part is consisted of input keypad, micro-controller, display module, and pump module. In this paper we designed micro-controller for electronic part. The micro-controller controls display module and pump module. The display module is composed by LCD device, and the pump module is composed by motor device. The micro-controller for an electronic dispenser is designed by VHDL. We used WX12864AP1 for the LCD device and SPS 20 for the stepping motor. Also, the micro-controller is designed by Altera Quartus tool and verified with Agent 2000 Design-kit using APEX20K Device. In this paper, we present possibility to adopt of biotechnology field through designing of one-chip controller for an electronic dispenser.

      • 비타민 C 섭취량과 arterial Pulse Wave Velocity와의 연관성

        Purpose: Several studies suggested that enhanced lipid peroxidation is associated with atherogenesis and cardiovascular disease. Also, many observational studies showed that a high dietary intake of antioxdant vitamins are associated with reduced risk of cardiovascular disease. So we investigated the association vitamin C intake and arterial Pulse wave velocity(aPWV), which assessing aortic arterial stiffness. Subjects & Methods: The 783 adults were recruited into the this cross-sectional study. We exluded subjects who had a history of vascular disease or who were aking medication fot dyslipidemia or vitamin C supplements. Allsubjects examined body mass index (BMI), lipid profile, hs-CRP, uric acid, cystatin C, Homocystein, fasting glucose, and aPWV. aPWV was measured between brachium and ankle by automatic noninvasive apparatus. And daily calorie intake and vitamin C intake examined by food frequency questionaire. Statistical analysis obtained by SPSS. Results: The study consisted of 58% men and 42% women. Vitamin C index was significantly negative correlated with baPWV (P<0.05). Also, homocystein, cystatin C, uric acid, triglyceride and fasting glucose were inverse relationship with vitamin C index (P<0.05). In addition, low vitamin C intake is associated with high baPWV.

        Cu(Mg) 박막의 Time Dependent Dielectric Breakdown 특성 평가

        Electrical properties and time dependent dielectric breakdown (TDDB) characteristics of Cu (0.7 at.% Mg) alloy films are investigated to improve the reliability of Cu interconnects used in microelectronic devices. After Cu(Mg) films are annealed in vacuum at 400℃ for 30 min, resistivity decreases from 3.4 to 2.0 μΩcm and, thin and continuous MgO layers form both on Cu(Mg) film surface and on Cu(Mg)/SiO₂ interface. Metal-Oxide-Silicon (MOS) capacitors composed of Cu(Mg) film deposited on thermal oxide grown on Si wafer are subjected to bias temperature stressing at 180 through 220℃ under electric fields of 1.5 through 2.6 MV/cm. Median time to failure (MTTF) and activation energy of Cu(Mg)/SiO₂ are much larger than those of pure Cu/SiO₂. Cu drifts into dielectric are inhibited by the continuous Mg oxide formed at Cu(Mg)/SiO₂ interface which improve interfacial adhesion and finally lead to better interconnect reliabilities.       • 기종성 신우신염 1례

        기종성 신우신염은 주로 당뇨병환자나 폐쇄성 요로질환을 가진 환자에 발생하며 특징적으로 신실질 및 그 주위조직에 가스를 형성하면서 심한 조직괴사를 일으키는 매우 드문 급성 화농성 신감염으로 사망률이 높은 질환이다. 이 질환은 1989년 Kelly와 MacCallum에 의해 처음 보고된 이래 외국문헌에 약 90례 정도가 보고되어 있으며 국내에는 28례가 보고되어 있다. 수액 및 전해질 보충, 인슐린 투여를 통한 적절한 혈당조절 및 항생제 투여등의 내과적 치료와 절개배농 및 신적출술등의 수술적 치료 방법이 있다. 내과적 치료로 가스의 감소가 없는 경우에는 즉각적인 수술적 치료를 시행하여야하므로 이 가스변화에 대한 추적관찰이 중요하다 하겠다. 본 저자들은 당뇨병환자에서 발생한 기종성 신우신염 1례를 내과적 요법을 치험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하고자 한다. Emphysematous pyelonephritis is rare, life-threatening infection of the renal parenchyma and perirenal tisseue. This disease is characterized by the production of intrarenal and perirenal gas and is frequently encountered in patients with diabetes mellitus or urinary obstruction. We experienced a case of emphysematouse pyelonephritis in a 62 years old women with poorly controlled diabetes mellitus who had been managed with medical theraphy. So we report this case with a review of the referenced literatures.

      • 공침법에 의한 BiDy₂Fe_(5)O_(12) 결정형 나노입자 분말의 제조 및 응용 연구

        금속산화물들은 각종 산업재료로서 유용하며 더욱이 그것들의 결정형 나노입자를 경제적으로 제조하는 기술은 21세기 첨단산업에 매우 중요하다. 저자들은 前報에서 화학합성법에 의한 각종 금속산화물의 나노입자를 제조하는 표준공정법을 연구하여 보고하였다. 본 연구에서는 그 표준공정법을 이용하여, 가넷의 일종인 BiDy_(2)Fe_(5)O_(12) 결정 나노입자 분말을 제조하고 그것의 자성체로의 응용을 위해 제품특성을 조사하었다. 가네트 제조과정에 필요한 침전물은 제품설계에 의거 몰비로 계산된 Bi, Dy, Fe의 질산염들의 혼합수용액에 침전제로서 pH NH_(3)-NH_(4)CI 완충용액 일정량을 가하여 얻어졌다. 이렇게 제조된 침전은 열처리과정을 거처 BiDy_(2)Fe_(5)O_(12) 결정형 나노입자 분말로 만들어졌다. 얻어진 제품의 입자크기, 조성, 결정구조 및 광자기성 등 특성시험이 SEM, ICP, XRD, 그리고 VSM 등을 사용하여 실시되었다. 각종 분석법을 사용하여 제품의 특성을 조사한 결과, 최초에 설계한 대로의 자성체가 나노 크기의 분말로 얻어졌으며 이것을 통하여 전보에서 확립한 표준공정법의 유효성도 입증되었다. Metallic oxides are useful as various industrial materials. Futhermore, the cost-effective techniques of fabricating the crystalline nanopartides of metallic oxides are very important for the high-tech industries of the 21 century, In the previous study, the authors reported the standard process for the preparation of crystalline nanoparticles of metallic oxides by chemical synthesis, In this study, BiDyzFesOiz nanoparticles were prepared by using the reported standard process and the characteristics of the product were investigated for applicability as magnetic substance. The precipitation needed for manufacturing process of garnet was made by adding the NH_(3)-NH_(4)CI buffer solution of pH 10 to the mixed solution of bismuth (III) nitrate, dysprosium(III) nitrate and iron(III) nitrate. The amount of each nitrate was calculated by the designed mole ratios. The nano-size crystalline powders of BiDy_(2)Fe_(5)O_(12) were earned by heating the precipitation at 800℃ for 4 hours in air. The characterizations, such as particle size, composition, crystal structure and magneto-optical property of garnet were tested by SEM, ICP, XRD, and VSM analyses. The results of the analyses showed the following two facts. First, a good magnetic substance of BiDy_(2)Fe_(5)O_(12) was earned as crystalline nano-size powders according to the original design. Next, the established standard process for the fabrication of METALLIC oxides nanonartieles was approved as a very effective method.

        포항항 항로지정을 위한 주요 통항로 및 통항 특성에 관한 연구

        2006년 영일만 신항이 개장될 경우 포항항 진입 수역은 선박 통항량이 증가하고 중대형 선박들의 입출항이 가속화될 것이다. 그러나 포항항 일부 진입 수역에는 여전히 항행 위험 요소가 존재하고 있다. 즉, 호미곶 인근 해역에서의 무질서한 항행 및 교통이 폭주하고 있어 통항 안전성을 고찰하기 위하여 해상교통조사를 실시하였다. 또한 해상교통조사 결과를 선종별 및 톤수별로 통계 처리하고 통항 선박의 항적 분포 등을 토대로 통항 선박의 주요 통항로 및 통항 특성을 분석하였으며, 향후 포항항 진입 수역의 항로지정에 활용하고자 한다. The traffic volume will be increased and the traffic of larger vessel could be multiplied in the Pohang port by the opening of the Young-il new port in 2006. Unfortunately, however, potential danger, factors to the safe navigation, disordered navigation and traffic congestion are still existing in the Pohang port approaching waters. This paper describes the status of marine traffic flow and navigational characteristics based on the marine traffic survey using the exclusive software, and the results of marine traffic survey classify into ship’s type, size and track history of passing ships through the statistical methods. Finally the examinations of marine traffic route, traffic flow and navigational characteristics are discussed. These results can be used for the best design of ship’s routing at the Pohang waters.
