        용호비결은 조선 중기의 문신이던 정렴(1506~1549년) 선생이 저술한 일종의 선도(仙道) 수련서로 매월당 김시습의 용호론의 맥을 잇는 조선시대 가장 중요한 도교문헌의 하나라고 할 수 있다. 본 논문은 정렴 선생과 용호비결 판본에 대하여 소개하고 책의 제목인 용호(龍虎), 책의 내용 중 수단지도(修丹之道), 폐기(閉氣), 호흡법, 단전(丹田), 현빈일규(玄牝一竅)의 연금술적 내용을 분석심리학적 측면에서 살펴보았다. 용호(龍虎)는 정신양(psychoid) 단계에서 작용하는 변환의 요소로 이를 통하여 단(丹)이 만들어지는데 단(丹)은 메르쿠리우스이자 철학자의 돌로 연금술의 적화 단계를 의미하기도 한다. 정렴 선생은 단(丹)을 이루기 위하여 가늘고 긴 호흡을 통한 단전에의 집중을 강조하였는데 이를 폐기(閉氣)라고 한다. 폐기(閉氣)는 능동적으로 니그레도(nigredo)상태로 들어가는 것으로 이때 우리의 정신은 외부로 향한 투사를 거두어들여 단전(丹田)을 향해 집중한다. 니그레도를 통한 지속적인 수련은 알베도(albedo)상태로의 이행을 가능케 하며 이를 통해 투사에 의한 객체의 오염으로부터 정신이 자유로와져 마음의 중심이 자아(ego)로부터 자기(Self)로 옮겨간다. 현빈일규(玄牝一竅)란 노자가 곡신(谷神)으로 표현한 우주의 여성적 원리를 경험하고 이를 체화하는 것이다. The article is about Yong-Ho-Bi-Gyeol(龍虎秘訣), which is one of the most important Taoist text in Korea written by Jeong-Ryum, a Taoist and alchemist in the Chosun Dynasty. The article deals with the alchemical and psychological meanings of Yong-Ho (龍虎, Dragon-Tiger), the way of nurturing cinnabar (修丹之道), the closing of the qi (閉氣), the method of alchemical breathing, the Dantian (丹田, cinnabar-field), and the Mysterious Female’s One Opening (玄牝一竅), in addition to the brief introduction of the life of Jeong-Ryum and the bibliography of the book. The Yong-Ho (龍虎) meaning the dragon and tiger is the archetype of transformation in the form of their opposites, rooted in the psychoid system of the human psyche. The unified Yong-Ho makes Dan and the Dan, literally indicating cinnabar, has many alchemical connotations such as Mercurius, the rubedo state of the alchemical process, and the philosopher’s stone. In the book, Jeong-Ryum emphasized the slow and subtle way of breathing in and out of Dantian to develop neidan (內丹, inner cinnabar or inner alchemy). The refining of neidan begins by the closing of the qi, which symbolizes the radical introversion and withdrawal of all the projections on the outer objects. The Dantian located at the lower part of the abdomen has been known to preserve jing (精), the vital essence of life, which can be refined into qi and spirit (神). In Jungian perspective, the Dantian is a mandala where an individual’s mind can stay and focus at the center of psyche detached from ego and related to the Self. The long-nurtured introverted energy makes the Mysterious Female’s One Opening (玄牝一竅), a pit or cavity in the transcendental space, through which the meditator can have a relationship with the great female principle of the universe. The current article has introduced the contents of the Yong-Ho-Bi-Gyeol in the perspective of analytical psychology. However, it has not dealth with the remaining topics including Taesik (胎息, embryonic breathing) and Juchenhwahu (周天火候, the great Celestial circuit firing), due to the lack of author’s sufficient knowledge and experience. The unexplored areas of Yong-Ho-Bi-Gyeol will be studied in the future.

        혈관질환 정보관리 시스템

        As medical technology progresses rapidly, there is a rise in the average age along with the Korean dietary lifestyle becoming more westernized, which leads to an increase in the number of vascular disease patients in Korea. Thus, we need to manage the medical information of a disease systematically in order to diagnose and treat constructively. However, since there has been no standardized method of man agement to date, a great deal of information could not be properly utilized nor studied. Therefore, the departments of Cardiology, Radiology and Neurology of Samsung Seoul Hospital recently got together to develop an information management system called the Vascular Data System. This program was developed to be run on win98 O/S, upper Pentium Ⅲ, and upper 128 MB Memory, and its source code is Dephi 4.0. It was configured for the user to set the configurations as well as do a variety of search and analysis. If this program were to be updated continuously, it may be used extensively as well as in various parts of clinical research activities.

        Cadmium sulfate thin films were deposited by the chemical bath deposition method using tartaric acid and triethanolamine as acomplexing agent. Deposition Parameters such as pH, temperature,deposition time and concentration of the reactant species were optimizedso as to obtain reflecting, good adherent uniform thin films on the glasssubstrate. Reaction mechanism of the thin film formation is also reported.The crystallographic structure and the crystallite size were studied by theX-ray diffraction pattern.       • Sr·페라이트 본드자석의 자기 특성에 관한 연구

        In this paper, we mention the magnetic properties of Sr ferrite bonded magnet. In order to compose Sr ferrite, first, a little CaO, SiO2, Na2Si3 and A12O3 are added to SrO n·Fe203(n=5.9). Then, the composition is calcinated at 1225℃ under N2 environment for1 hour with addition of PVA 6wt% solution. The carbon coating method increase grinding effect on powder fabrication. To fabricate anisotropic Sr ferrite bonded magnet 82∼92wt% of Sr ferrite and polyamide12 are kneaded and then 0∼12kOe of magnetic field is allied. On magnet fabrication, an optimal condition of injection mold is obtained under the injection temperature 250℃, the injection pressure 120㎏/cm², the magnetic field 8kOe and magnetic field applied time 8sec. As the results of experiments, we obtain (BH)max=2.09MGoe properly on anisotropic bonded magnet which is fabricated by using injection mold method in magnetic field.

      • 2차원 어레이를 이용한 Vector-radix 2차원 고속 DCT의 효율적인 VLSI 구현

        This paper describes an efficient array algorithm for parallel computation of vector-radix two-dimensional (2-D) fast discrete cosine transform(VR-FCT), and its VLSI implementation. The proposed array algorithm features architectural modularity, regularity and locality, so that it is very suitable for VLSI realization. Also, no transposition memory is required. It has the time complexity of ?? for (N X N) 2-D DCT, where ?? is the number of non-zero digits in canonic-signed digit (CSD) code. An array core based on the proposed array algorithm is designed with ISRC 1.5㎛ double metal N-Well CMOS technology. A hierarchical design approach based on Bit-Slice Unit (BSU) is adopted to achieve simple design and regular interconnections. The designed array core consists of 64 PE's arranged in 8 rows 8 columns, and it contains about 98,000 transistors on an area of 138㎜²excluding control logic block. From simulation results, it is estimated that (8X8) 2-D DCT(??) can be computed in about 0.88㎲ec at 50MHz clock frequency, resulting in the throughput rate of about 72 Mega pixels per second.

        Beyond the target of scientific researches, meditation is now one ofthe main tools for palliative and integrative medicine in Westem society. Despite theof valuable heritages of meditation in Korea, meditation is not considered to have clinical implications as in Westem medical society. It is partly due to the fact that while the mysterious aspect of meditation has been emphasized, a large number of scientific researches on meditation had not been known to Korean medical society. The authors reviewed several studies that examined the clinical effect of meditation and speculated its possibility as a method of clinical intervention.
