        족근 골 결합

        A tarsal coalition is an abnormal union between 2 or more tarsal bones of the hind- and midfoot, which can be congenital or acquired. The documented overall incidence of tarsal coalition is 1% or less. The resulting abnormal articulation leads to accelerated degeneration within adjacent joint. Pain is often diffuse, exacerbated by strenuous activity or following an ankle sprain. The findings on physical examination is protruded mass, diminished range of motion of the involved joint. It is possible to identify of tarsal coalitions with conventional radiography, but CT scanning necessary to evaluate of the size, location, characteristic and preoperative planning of tarsal coalitions. The initial treatment for a tarsal coalition is conservative, but tarsal coalitions unresponsive to conservative treatment, are managed by coalition resection, or arthrodesis in case of presence of degenerative changes.

        반월형 절골술을 이용한 무지 외반증의 치료

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the radiographic results and complications after the proximal dome osteotomy for hallux valgus. Material and Methods: 127 cases of clinically moderate to severe hallux valgus from October 1994 to September 1997 were included in this study. All had been surgically corrected with proximal dome osteotomy, bunionectomy, and distal soft tissue release. We compared the hallux valgus angle(HVA) and intermetatarsal angle(IMA) at preoperative, postoperative 3 weeks, postoperative 6 weeks, and postoperative 3 months. Also we reviewed the postoperative com plications. Result: The HVA averaged $34.1^{\circ}$ at preoperative, $4.3^{\circ}$ at 3 weeks after operation, $8.1^{\circ}$ at 6 weeks after operation, and $10.2^{\circ}$ at 3 months after operation. The lMA averaged $14.6^{\circ}$ at preoperative, $5.1^{\circ}$ at 3 weeks after operation, $5.6^{\circ}$ at 6 weeks after operation, and $7.3^{\circ}$ at 3 months after operation. We experienced 7 cases of malunion, 5 cases of limitation of motin at the first metatarso-phalangeal joint, 3 cases of hallux varus deformity, 2 cases of delayed union. Conclusion: Proximal dome osteotomy for moderate to severe hallux valgus deformity was considered as one of the effective treatment methods. And we try to avoid limitation of motion at the first metatarso-phalangeal joint after operation.

        크리소스포리움 안내염 1예

        Purpose: To report a case of Chrysosporium parvum endophthalmitis after trauma. Methods: A 42-year-old healthy woman visited our hospital complaining of ocular pain after trauma sustained with a wire used to tie grapes. She showed corneal laceration and iris prolapse of the right eye on slit lamp examination. She underwent primary suture of the corneal laceration. Two days later, she presented with hypopyon of the anterior chamber. She was treated with topical antibiotics and a topical steroid. On follow-up examination, she again presented with hypopyon of the anterior chamber. She was admitted for microbiologic examination and was again treated with topical antibiotics and a topical steroid. Unfortunately, no organisms were identified by culture. Later, she reported a recurrent history of the inflammation. After 9 months, she presented with increased hypopyon of the anterior chamber and was treated with anterior chamber irrigation and intracameral antibiotics injection on two different occasions. But, still no organisams were identified. After one year, the patient visited our clinic with ocular pain and decreased visual acuity. Her intraocular pressure was 72 mmHg and there was whitish infiltration and hypopyon around 360 degrees of the anterior chamber and angle. At the same time, the intraocular pressure and inflammation were uncontrolled. Ultimately, microscopic examination of specimens obtained directly from tissue after enucleation identified the organism as Chrysosporium parvum. Conclusions: We experienced a case of Chrysosporium parvum endophthalmitis after trauma. To our knowledge, this was the first report of a case of Chrysosporium parvum endophthalmitis in the world.

      • Suramin과 성장인자가 음경세포암종 세포주에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

        The development, invasion and metastasis of cancer are closely interrelated with its own autocrine mechanism of growth factor, gorwth factor receptor signal transduction. Suramin, a polyanionic compound with antiparasitic activity, has veen recently shown to have growth factor antagonist properties and to affect growth of matastic lesions of several malignancies. Chung-Ang University Penile Cancer Cell Line-1(CUPE-1) is a new squamous cell carcinoma cell line which maintains morphological and functional characteristics of human pencile squamous cell carcinoma and has strong tumorigenicity when implanted into the nude mouse. Herein, an experimental study was done to investigate the effect of growth factors and suramin on the proliferation of CUPE-1 in vitro. Of three growth factors including EGF, basic fibroblast growth factor and platelet derived gorwth factor, EGF enhanced proliferation of CUPE-1 most significantly(p<0.001). Suramin of 100 ㎍/ml(p<0.05), 300㎍/ml and 1,000㎍/ml(p<0.001) of media inhibited in vitro proliferation of CUPE-1, significantly, In vitro antiproliferative effect of suramin on CUPE-1 was reversible after stopping the drug. Suramin of 300㎍/ml inhibited the proliferation stimulating effect of EGF, significantly(p<0.001), whereas suramin of 100㎍/ml did not inhibit the effect of EGF, significantly Suramin did not show significant cytotoxicity on H^3-thymidine release assay. These results suggest that 1) EGF is a major growth factor of penile squamous cell carcinoma, 2) suramin is a promising drug for the treatment of advanced penile squamous cell carcinoma, 3) Mood level of suramin should be continuously maintained in about 300㎍/ml in clinical trial, and 4) the main machanism of suramin against CUPE-1 is cytostatic, by antagonizing the action of EGF.

        ZnO 압전 박막을 이용한 고주파 SAW 필터 연구

        RF 마그네트론 스퍼터링법을 이용하여 유리기판위에 인가전력 100 W, 1.33Pa, Ar/O2=50 : 50, 20$0^{\circ}C$ 그리고 타겟과 기판사이의 거리 4 cm의 조건으로 ZnO 압전 박막을 성장시켰다. 증착된 박막의 결정성, 표면형상, 화학적 결합비와 전기적 특성을 XRD, SEM, AFM, RBS와 electrometer를 이용하여 측정 분석하였다 제조된 박막은 우수한 c축 우선 배향성을 보였고 또한 화학 양론적인 결합비를 나타내었다. 전극 구조가 single 및 double IDT를 갖는 ZnO/1DT/glass SAW 필터를 제작하여 특성을 분석한 결과, 전파속도는 각각 2,589 m/sec, 2,533 m/sec이었고, 삽입손실은 -11 dB과 -21 dB 값을 나타내어 박막형 SAW 필터로 응용이 기대된다. ZnO thin films on glass substrate were deposited by RF magnetron reactive sputtering at 100 W, 1.33 Pa, Ar/O2=50 : 50, 200$^{\circ}C$, and a target/substrate distance of 4 cm. Crystallinities, surface morphologies, chemical compositions, and electrical properties of the films were investigated by XRD, SEM, AFM, RBS, and electrometer. All films showed a strong preferred c-axis orientation and the chemical stoichiometry. The propagation velocity of ZnO/IDT/glass of single electrode and double electrode types SAW filter was about 2,589 m/sec, 2,533 m/sec and insertion loss was a minimum value of about -11 dB and -21 dB, respectively.

        이 논문은 웹페이지를 검색하는 정보검색시스템을 제시한다. 이 시스템은 웹 로봇을 통해 사람의 도움없이 자동으로 데이터베이스를 갱신한다. 웹페이지의 삽입, 갱신, 검색을 효율적으로 할 수 있는 방법을 이 논문에서 제시한다. 본 논문에서는 검색효율을 높이기 위해 웹페이지 링크속성검색, relevance 피드백 방법을 사용한다. This paper proposes an information retrieval system that reflects specific proper of the web home pages. The system can automatically update the database by the web robot without the help of humans. The approach in this paper improves the efficiency of insertion, update and retrieval of the web pages. In retrieval, the system can improve the retrieval effectiveness using the in-link data included in web pages.

        의존문법 기반의 구간 분할법을 활용한 한국어 구문 분석기

        최근 대부분의 한국어 구문분석기는 의존문법(Dependency Grammar)을 사용하고 있는데, 그 이유는 한국어의 특성인 어순이 비교적 자유롭고 생략이 잦은 문장에 대한 처리가 용이하기 때문이다. 하지만 의존문법을 이용한 한국어 구문분석은 많은 중의성을 도출하는 문제점이 대두되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 중의성을 보다 효과적으로 해결하기 위하여 200개가 넘는 의존문법 규칙과 문장의 구성성분을 이용한 구간분할방법, 관형형어미가 붙은 용언에 대한 처리 및 같은 용언에 중복된 구성성분 결합제한 방법을 사용한 구문분석기를 제안한다. 실험 결과 중의성 제거에 많은 효과가 있음을 보여준다. Recently, most Korean syntactic analysis systems use Dependency Grammar, because it is quite good to analysis of Korean language structures. But Dependency Grammar makes many ambiguities during syntax analysis of Korean. We implement a system which decreases many ambiguities in syntax analysis. To decrease ambiguities we suggest several methods. First, we use about 200 dependency rules, second, we suggest a new segmentation method and third, one predicate can not have more than one subject or object. Using these methods, we can reduce many ambiguities in Korean syntactic analysis.

So the directional coupler with high directivity was designed and its characteristics were investigated by RF simulator. The fabricated directional coupler of 800MHz showed that it can provide 30 dB directivity, high isolation and coupling properties.

        A wideband SAW convolver using a parabolic horn waveguide was designed and its characteristics were investigated. The convolver was made with parabolic horn waveguide at compression ratio 9:1 for reducing propagation loss and for improving convolution efficiency between two input IDTs of center frequency 193.78 MHz. The SAW convolver utilizing acoustic nonlinearities of piezoelectric material demonstrated that it can provide large S/N ratio and can be use for programmable matched filter(PMF) in spread spectrum communication system.

        토끼 망막에서 NMDA에 의한 아포프토시스의 발현

        Purpose: To evaluate the involvement of apoptosis in N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA)-induced excitotoxicity in the rabbit retina. Methods: After intravitreal injection of 680 and 2,000 nmoles of NMDA in rabbit eyes, the eyes were enucleated at 2, 16, and 60 hours and 1 and 2 weeks. The apoptotic cell death was determined with TdT-mediated biotin-dUTP nick end labeling (TUNEL) stain, and immunohistochemical stains of Bcl-2, Bax, and caspase-3 were performed. Results: TUNEL showed increased labeling scattered in the ganglion cell layer and inner nuclear layer from 16 to 60 hours. The number of TUNEL-positive nuclei decreased at 60 hours, and none was observed at 2 hours, 1 week, and 2 weeks. More TUNEL-positive nuclei were seen with injection of 2,000 nmoles compared to 680 nmoles. Bcl-2, Bax, and caspase-3 were seen histologically as early as 2 hours in the ganglion cell layer and inner nuclear layer; there was no stained nuclei with the TUNEL stain. At 2 hours after intravitreal NMDA injection, Bcl-2, Bax, and caspase-3 were also stained in Müller cells. Conclusions: This study showed that apoptosis is involved in NMDA-induced excitotoxicity in the rabbit retina. Bcl-2, Bax, and caspase-3 may play important roles in modulating the apoptosis in NMDA-induced excitotoxicity, and Müller cells are involved in the apoptotic pathway.
