A survey on the energy consumption status of seven dairy processors has been carried out in order to assess the trends and characteristics of energy consumption in dairy processing industry in this country. The results were as following; 1. A total amount of 227,124 million ㎉ (0.95 PJ) of energy was consumed by 6 dairy processors, for the treatment and processing of 401,550 tons raw milk, which is equivalent to 566 ㎉ (2.4 MJ) per ㎏ of raw milk consisting 454 ㎉ of thermal energy and 112 ㎉ of electrical energy, in 1982. The trend of energy consumption during the period of last five years showed twenty percent less energy was used in 1982 than in 1978 for the treatment of unit weight of raw milk; a remarkable reducing tendency has been observed in the consumption of thermal (fuel) energy and a slight increasing tendency in the use of electrical energy. 2. Energy requirements for the production of three major dairy products showed that 169 ㎉ (0.71 MJ) of thermal energy and 55 ㎉ (0.23 MJ) of electrical energy were required for the treatment of ㎏ market milk, 2,378 ㎉ (9.95 MJ) and 265 ㎉ (1.1 MJ) for powdered milk, 129 ㎉ (0.54 MJ) and 112 ㎉ (0.47 MJ) for liquid yoghurt in 1982. 3. The energy use indexes of seven dairy processors in 1982 have been calculated for the comparative assessment of energy consumption efficiency. Four processors out of seven showed minus index in the use of thermal energy, whereas a great discrepancy was found in the consumption of electrical energy ranging from -8.4% to 360%, which bespeaks the need for better organized and efficient control of electrical energy on the part of dairy industry.
OFDMA 스마트 안테나 시스템을 위한 도래각 추정 기반의 적응 빔 형성 알고리즘

본 논문에서는 orthogonal frequency-division multiple-access 스마트 안테나 시스템을 위한 효율적인 도래각 추정 기반의 적응 빔 형성 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 추정된 도래각 정보를 이용하여 원하는 신호의 방향으로 주 빔 (main beam)을 형성하는 반면, 간섭 신호의 방향에는 null을 형성함으로써 간섭 신호를 효율적으로 제거한다. 또한, 다중 경로 신호에 대한 빔 형성 출력들을 효율적으로 결합함으로써 공간 다이버시티 이득을 얻을 수 있다. 제안된 알고리즘의 효율성을 입증하기 위해 셀룰러 이동통신 환경에서 WiBro 시스템을 목표 시스템 (target system)으로 설정하여 알고리즘의 성능을 분석하고 least-sqaures 빔 형성 알고리즘과 성능을 비교한다. In this paper, an efficient direction-r)f-arrival based adaptive beamforming algorithm for orthogonal frequency-division multiple-access smart antenna systems is proposed. The proposed algorithm provides a high performance by steering main beams to the directions of a desired signal, whereas steering nulls to the directions of the interference, using the estimated directions. The beamforming outputs obtained by steering the main beams to the distinct directions of resolvable multipath signals are combined in a maximal ratio manner to exploit angular diversity gain. The performance elf the proposed algorithm is finally evaluated in cellular mobile environments to verify its efficiency and is compared with that of least-squares beamforming algorithm, by taking the WiBro system as a target system.

Menetrier's disease is a rare, characterized by the presence of large rugal folds involving part or all of the stomach. Patients with hypertrophic gastropathy often have distressing abdominal symptoms, weight loss, and edema due to gastric protem loss. A 64 year old male patient was admitted with the chief complaint of epigastric discomfort. Endoscopic, radiologic and histologic examination, revealed characteristic findings of Menetrier's disease. A case of Menetrier's disease is reported with a brief review of literature.
