        Abstract-In order to investigate pharmacological properties of New Wonbang Woohwangchungsimwon Liquid(NSCL) and Wonbang Woohwangchungsimwon Liquid(SCL), the effects of NSCL and SCL on cerebral ischemia and central nervous system were compared. Cerebral ischemia insult was performed using unilateral carotid artery occlusion in mongolian gerbils. The histological observations showed a preventive effect of NSCL and SCL treatments with ischemia-induced brain damage. The ATP in brain tissue was decreased in vehicle-treated ischemic gerbils. This decrease was prevented by NSCL and SCL treatment. In contrast to what was seen with ATP, lipid peroxide were elevated in vehicle-treated ischemic gerbils. This elevation was inhibited by NSCL and SCL treatments. While NSCL and SCL had no effects on the hexobarbital-induced sleeping time, they showed sedative effect in rotarod and spontaneous activity test. NSCL and SCL prevented the seizures induced by electric shock and strychnine, but the effect of NSCL was less than that of SCL. Furthermore, NSCL and SCL showed anti-stress effect. Our findings suggest that the phamacological profiles of NSCL on cerebral ischemia and central nervous system are similar to those of SCL.

        방사선 조사된 참깨에서 hydrocarbon류 검지를 위한 초임계 유체 추출 공정의 이용

        초임계 유체 추출 공정을 이용하여 참깨에서 hydrocarbon류를 검출하여 참깨의 방사선 조사 여부 검지 전처리 기술에 활용하고자 하였다. 참깨를 2 kGy의 감마선을 조사하여 hexane으로 지방을 추출한 용매 추출과 초임계 유체 추출을 이용하여 추출한 지방을 Florisil coulumn으로 분리한 후 hydrocarbon 류를 GC-MS로 분석하였다. 용매 추출에서와 같이 초임계 유체 추출 공정을 이용하여 검출된 hydrocarbon 류은 동일하게 검지되었으며 그 marker 로써 활용 가능한 hydrocarbon 류인 13:3, 17:2, 16:2, 17:1은 비조사 참깨에서는 검출되지 않아TEk. 보조 용매르 사용한 초임계 추출 공정에서 각 보조용매에서 추출된 지방량은 용매 추출보다 많았으며 보조용매를 사용하여 검출된 hydrocarbon 류의 검출량은 methanol을 제외하고 전반적으로 많이 검출되었다. 특히 acetone의 경우 marker로 사용가능한 hydrocarbon류는 용매 추출에서보다 3~4배 정도, CO₂만을 사용함 초임계 유체 추출 공정에서 보다 거의 2배의 검출 특성을 보여주었다. 이러한 결과는 초임계 유체 추출 공정이 방사선 조사 여부 검지 기술에 있어서 기존의 용매 추출에 비해 지방 추출시 용매 소모량의 감소, hydrocarbon 류의 검출량 증가 등의 이유로 hydrocarbon 류의 검지 기술에 있어 전처리 기술로 활용 가능하리라 사료된다. Radiation-induced hydrocarbons from the irradiated sesame were investigated in this study to compare the chemical properties of irradiated and non-irradiated foodstuff. The detective volatile hydrocarbons for the irradiated sesame were (C14:0), 1-tetradence (C14:1), n-pentadecane (C15:0), n-hexadecane (C16:0), 1-hexadecane (C16:1), n-heptadecane (C17:0), 8-heptadecene (C17:0), 1,7-hexadecadiene (C16:2) 1,7,10-hexadecadiene (C16:3) 6,9-heptadecadiene (C17:2). The characteristic of extracts was also investigated at the change of pressure and temperature. And then it was found that the increase of the pressure and the decrease of the temperature in supercritical fluid extraction have made possible much more rapid extraction of volatile hydrocarbons. The amounts of volatile hydrocabons for irradiated and non-irradiated foodstuff were definitely differentiate. It could be concluded that the supercritical fluid extraction was possible for detective extraction method irradiated foods.

        용융염산화 반응기에서 기체체류량 및 기-액 흐름특성

        용융염산화는 혼성폐기물과 유해폐기물을 효과적으로 산화 및 분해할 수 있는 소각대체기술중 하나이다. 본 연구에서는 직경이 0.079 m이고 높이가 0.653 m인 용융염산화 반응기에서 기체체류량 및 기-액 흐름특성에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 액상으로 용융탄산나트륨을 기상으로 건조된 공기를 사용하였으며 기체유속(0.05-0.22 m/s)과 용융염온도(870-970℃) 변화가 기체체류량 및 기-액 흐름특성에 미치는 영향을 규명하였다. 기체체류량은 용융염 온도가 상승함에 따라 증가하였는데, 이는 용융염 온도의 증가로 인해 용융된 탄산나트륨의 점도와 표면장력이 감소하였기 때문이다. 실험에서 얻어진 기체체류량 데이터를 drift-flux 모델에 적용하여 용융염반응기 내의 흐름특성을 규명할 수 있었으며, 이를 통해 흐름영역에 따른 기체체류량을 정확하게 예측할 수 있었다. Molten salt oxidation is one of the most promising alternatives to incineration that can be used to efficiently destroy the organic components of mixed wastes and hazardous wastes. In this study, the gas holdup and gas-liquid flow characteristics are investigated in the molten salt oxidation reactor (0.076 m D×0.653 m H.). Effects of input air velocity (0.05-0.22m/s ) and molten salt temperature (870-970℃) on the gas holdup and flow characteristics have been studied. Molten carbonate as the liquid phase and air as the gas phase have been used in this study. The gas holdup increases with increasing molten salt temperature due to the decrease of viscosity and surface tension of molten carbonate. The experimentally obtained gas holdups in the molten salt reactor have been well described and characterized by means of drift-flux model. The gas holdups with variation of the flow regime have been well predicted.

Dietic treatment and athletic treatment have been performed over a four-month period to 73 fat adults who were randomly selected from various walks of life. Through the above approach, following results could be obtained; 1) The effect that dietetic and athletic treatment have on fat adults could be maximized by performing both of the treatments simultaneously, and this method could be applied regardless in their chest circumferences. (Group A : Those who are performing dietetic treatment, Group B : Those who are eating without any regulation)

        The purpose of this study was to obtain the data of the changes on physique and physical fitness for 4 years(1995-1998). In each year, 400 children were selected and analyzed from 1995 to 1998 in 5th grade elementary school children, composed of 200 girls and 200 boys. Measured parameters in physique were height, weight, chest girth, sitting height and obesity, in physical fitness, 100m sprint, standing broad jump, flexed arm hang time, sit-ups, ball throwing, and 600m distance run / The obtained results were as follows. 1.In physique, height, weight, chest girth, and sitting height had the tendency toward increasing as time was went. Body weight of boys and chest girth of girls increased every year 2.The number of school children who were more than moderately obese was Increased smaller in 1998 compared to 1995, though the obese children was little more than 8.5% in every year 3.In physical fitness, the records of 100m sprint, 600m distance run, and ball throwing had the tendency of inferiority in 1998 to 1995 It is necessary to develop and apply the programs for the improvement of physical fitness and the prevention of obesity for the promotion of health in school children

        레니텍^(�) 정(말레인산 에날라프릴, 10mg)에 대한 에나레이스 정의 생물학적 동등성

        The purpose of present study was to evaluate the bioequivalence of two enalapril maleate tablets, Renitec^(™) (MSD Korea Ltd.) and Enalace ^(™) (Welfide Korea Ltd.), according to the guidelines of Korea Food Drug Administration (KFDA). Twenty-four normal male volunteers, 22.33±2.55 year in age and 66.54±8.30 ㎏ in body weight, were divided into two groups and a randomized 2×2 cross-over study was employed. After two tablets containint 10 ㎎ of enal-april maleate per tablet wre orally administered, blood was taken at predetermined time intervals and concentrations of enalapril in plasma were determined using LC-MS-MS. Pharmacokinetic parameters such as AUC_(t), C_(max) and T_(max) were calculated and ANOVA test was utilized for the statistical analysis of the parameters using logarithmically transformed AUC_(t) and C_(max) untransformed T_(max). There were no sequence effects between two formulations in these parameters. The 90% confidence intervals for the log transfored data were acceptance range of log0.8 to log1.25(e.g., log1.02∼log1.14 and log1.03∼log1.19 for AUC_(t) and C_(max), respectively). The major parameters, AUC_(t) and C_(max), met the criteria of KDFA for bioequivalence indicating that Enalace^(™) tablet is bioequivalent to Renitec^(™) tablet.

        비유피-4 정(염산프로피베린 20㎎)에 대한 건일염산프로피베린 정의 생물학적동등성

        The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the bioequivalence of two propiverine hydrochloride tablets. BUP-4 (Jeil Pharm. Co., Ltd.) and Kuhnil Propiverine Hydrochloride (Kuhnil Pharm. Co., Ltd.), according to the guidelines of the Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA). The propiverine release from the two propiverine hydrochloride formulations in vitro was tested using KP Ⅷ Apparatus Ⅱ method with a variety of dissolution media (pH 1.2, 4.0, 6.8 buffer solutions, water and blend of polysorbate 80 into pH 6.8). Twenty six healthy male subjects, 23.73 ± 2.79 years in age and 67.04 ± 7.93 kg in body weight, were divided into two groups and a randomized 2 x 2 cross-over study was employed. After one tablet containing 20 mg as propiverine hydrochloride was orally administered, blood was taken at predetermined time intervals and the concentrations of propiverine in serum were determined using HPLC method with UV detector. The dis-solution profiles of two formulations were similar at all dissolution media. Besides, the pharmacokinetic parameters such as AUC" C _(max) and T _(max) were calculated and ANOVA test was utilized for the statistical analysis of the parameters using logarithmically transformed AUC, C_(max), and untransformed T_(max). The results showed that the differences between two formulations based on the BUP-4 were 0.17%, 7.98% and 4.55% for AUC,, C_(max), and respectively. There were no sequence effects between two formulations in these parameters. The 90% confidence intervals using logarithmically trans-formed data were within the acceptance range of log(0.8) to log(1.25) (e.g., log(0.88)-log(l .12) and log(0.90)-log(l.15) for AUC, and _(max), respectively). Thus, the criteria of the KFDA bioequivalence guideline were satisfied, indicating Kuhnil Propiverine Hydrochloride tablet was bioequivalent to BUP-4 tablet.

        동물과 사람유래 Vancomycin 내성 장구균의 항균제 감수성 비교

        It has been recently reported the possibility in the bansfer of antimicrobial resistance to other animals and humans. In particular, vancomycin resistant enterococci (VRE), which have been known as a principal antimicrobial resistant bacteria in humans, have been increased as a pathogen of nosocomial infections. And then animal VRE were suspected as an origin of human VRE. In this study, we isolated Enterococcus spp. from animals, identified by bio- chemical tests, examined for antimicrobial susceptibility, and then compared the antimicrobial susceptibility of VRE among each other as well as human VRE. Enterococcus iecium (29%) was predominant in Enterococcus species (n=122) isolated from animal feces in this study. E. hirae, E. iecalis, E. casseliflam and E. gallinarum were also isolated as rates of 24%, 21%, 16% and 7%, respectively. The resistance of enterococci to penicillin and tetracycline were 66% and 78%, respectively, and the susceptibility of them to chloramphenicol was 66%. Antimicrobial susceptibility test has shown that 91% of VRE from humans (n=11) was susceptible to chloramphenicol and all resistant to penicillin, rifampin and streptomycin. Seventy-five percentage of VRE from chickens (n = 12) was susceptible to rifampin and resistances of them to penicillin, tetracycline and sbeptomycin were 75%, 83%, and l00%, respectively. Therefore, we confirmed the difference of antimicrobial susceptibility from animals and humans, and the antimicrobial susceptibility test could be one of the simple and useful methods for the epidemiological survey of VRE.

        관광객의 환경의식이 생태관광태도에 미치는 영향

        Regarding to the ecotourism for environmental conservation, tourists's consciousness and attitude on environment should be dealt with importantly more than the mass tourism. The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of the tourist's environmental consciousness on the ecotourism attitudes. As a result, it was analysed that the more people had interested in environmental problems, positive activities in the environment, the more people had the ecotourism attitudes. This suggested that for development of the ecotourism, it were needed to change tourist's attitude to friendly environment, to make higher consciousness about environmental conservation.
