Swarm Intelligence-based Power Allocation and Relay Selection Algorithm for wireless cooperative network

( Yaxin Xing ),( Yueyun Chen ),( Chen Lv ),( Zheng Gong ),( Ling Xu ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2016 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.10 No.3

Cooperative communications can significantly improve the wireless transmission performance with the help of relay nodes. In cooperative communication networks, relay selection and power allocation are two key issues. In this paper, we propose a relay selection and power allocation scheme RS-PA-PSACO (Relay Selection-Power Allocation-Particle Swarm Ant Colony Optimization) based on PSACO (Particle Swarm Ant Colony Optimization) algorithm. This scheme can effectively reduce the computational complexity and select the optimal relay nodes. As one of the swarm intelligence algorithms, PSACO which combined both PSO (Particle Swarm Optimization) and ACO (Ant Colony Optimization) algorithms is effective to solve non-linear optimization problems through a fast global search at a low cost. The proposed RS-PA-PSACO algorithm can simultaneously obtain the optimal solutions of relay selection and power allocation to minimize the SER (Symbol Error Rate) with a fixed total power constraint both in AF (Amplify and Forward) and DF (Decode and Forward) modes. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme improves the system performance significantly both in reliability and power efficiency at a low complexity.

      • SERS study of surface plasmon resonance induced carrier movement in Au@Cu2O core-shell nanoparticles

        Chen, Lei,Zhang, Fan,Deng, Xin-Yu,Xue, Xiangxin,Wang, Li,Sun, Yantao,Feng, Jing-Dong,Zhang, Yongjun,Wang, Yaxin,Jung, Young Mee Elsevier 2018 Spectrochimica acta. Part A, Molecular and biomole Vol.189 No.-

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>A plasmon induced carrier movement enhanced mechanism of surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) was investigated using a charge-transfer (CT) enhancement mechanism. Here, we designed a strategy to study SERS in Au@Cu2O nanoshell nanoparticles with different shell thicknesses. Among the plasmonically coupled nanostructures, Au spheres with Cu2O shells have been of special interest due to their ultrastrong electromagnetic fields and controllable carrier transfer properties, which are useful for SERS. Au@Cu2O nanoshell nanoparticles (NPs) with shell thicknesses of 48–56nm are synthesized that exhibit high SERS activity. This high activity originates from plasmonic-induced carrier transfer from Au@Cu2O to 4-mercaptobenzoic acid (MBA). The CT transition from the valence band (VB) of Cu2O to the second excited π-π* transition of MBA, and is of b2 electronic symmetry, which was enhanced significantly. The Herzberg-Teller selection rules were employed to predict the observed enhanced b2 symmetry modes. The system constructed in this study combines the long-range electromagnetic effect of Au NPs, localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) of the Au@Cu2O nanoshell, and the CT contribution to assist in understanding the SERS mechanism based on LSPR-induced carrier movement in metal/semiconductor nanocomposites.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> We designed a shell-dependent Au@Cu2O nanoshell for SERS study. </LI> <LI> SERS contribution enables us to understand the possible enhancement of hybrid nanostructures. </LI> <LI> LSPR-induced carrier movement in Au@Cu2O nanocomposites. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical Abstract</B></P> <P>We designed the shell-dependent Au@Cu2O core-shell nanoparticles (NPs) for SERS study. • Enhanced catalyst activity by decorating of Au on Ag@Cu2O nanoshell

        Chen, Lei,Liu, Maomao,Zhao, Yue,Kou, Qiangwei,Wang, Yaxin,Liu, Yang,Zhang, Yongjun,Yang, Jinghai,Jung, Young Mee Elsevier 2018 APPLIED SURFACE SCIENCE - Vol.435 No.-

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>We successfully synthesized Au-decorated Ag@Cu2O heterostructures via a simple galvanic replacement method. As the Au precursor concentration increased, the density of the Au nanoparticles (NPs) on the Ag@Cu2O surface increased, which changed the catalytic activity of the Ag@Cu2O-Au structure. The combination of Au, Ag, and Cu2O exhibited excellent catalytic properties, which can further effect on the catalyst activity of the Ag@Cu2O-Au structure. In addition, the proposed Ag@Cu2O-Au nanocomposite was used to transform the organic, toxic pollutant, 4-nitrophenol (4-NP), into its nontoxic and medicinally important amino derivative via a catalytic reduction to optimize the material performance. The proposed Au-decorated Ag@Cu2O exhibited excellent catalytic activity, and the catalytic reduction time greatly decreased (5 min). Thus, three novel properties of Ag@Cu2O-Au, i.e., charge redistribution and transfer, adsorption, and catalytic reduction of organic pollutants, were ascertained for water remediation. The proposed catalytic properties have potential applications for photocatalysis and localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR)- and peroxidase-like catalysis.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Au-decorated Ag@Cu2O heterostructures via a simple galvanic replacement method were designed. </LI> <LI> We can easily control the density of the Au NPs on Ag@Cu2O by changing the concentration of the Au precursor. </LI> <LI> Ag@Cu2O-Au nanomaterials with high absorption exhibited significantly enhanced catalytic activity for 4-NP. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

Numerical analysis of thermal dynamics and mixing performance in the blade-type static mixers

        Yanfang Yu,Yaxin Chen,Huibo Meng,Yunjuan Yao,Dongzhou Liu,Jianhua Wu 대한기계학회 2022 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.36 No.7

The turbulent thermal dynamics and mixing performance of kenics static mixer (KSM), lightnin static mixer (LSM) and Q-type static mixer (QSM) were numerically simulated with uniform heat flux within the range of Reynolds numbers (Re) between 6000 and 30000. The numerical predictions of Nusselt number (Nu) and friction coefficient (f) in KSM were well consistent with the experimental data. The dean vortices, thermal resistance, entropy generation and field synergy were fully analyzed to obtain the enhancement mechanism of heat transfer performance. The synergy performance between temperature gradient and flow field firstly decreased and then increased and are superior to that of KSM with increasing Re. With the same Re, the entropy generation rates of LSM are 0.93-0.94 times that of QSM. LSM is a better alternative consideration for convection mixing and heat transfer enhancement. Two new relationships between Nu and f under different dimensionless uniform heat flux are obtained.

Graphene Enhanced Electrical Properties of Polyethylene Blends for High-Voltage Insulation

        Zuojun Wei,Yaxin Hou,Chen Jiang,Haiyan Liu,Xiangrong Chen,Anyun Zhang,Yingxin Liu 대한금속·재료학회 2019 ELECTRONIC MATERIALS LETTERS Vol.15 No.5

Graphene as a novel additive in low density polyethylene (LDPE), high density polyethylene–low density polyethylene blend(10%HDPE–LDPE) and polypropylene–low density polyethylene blend (10%PP–LDPE), is investigated for promising ecofriendlyinsulating materials in high voltage cables. The composites with graphene amounts of 0, 0.002 wt%, 0.02 wt%,and 0.2 wt% are prepared by the solution mixing method. With attempt to disclose the structure–property relationships, thecomposites are extensively characterized by physical techniques including Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-raydiffraction, atomic force microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, thermogravimetricanalysis and differential scanning calorimetry, and electrical measurements including electrical treeing, direct current conductivityand space charge distributions. Results show that graphene can significantly enhances the thermal stability of LDPEand 10%PP–LDPE, slightly decrease the degree of crystallinity, change the size of the crystal diameters, and improve thephase distribution of the polymer blends. Consequently, graphene can prolong the electrical tree initiation time and blockthe extension of electrical tree. Besides, it can modulate the trap distributions, which will further change the conductivityand ability to suppress space charge accumulations. This excellent performance of graphene could be attributed to its goodexfoliation, uniform dispersion and outstretched morphology in the polymer matrix, as well as its strong ability to captureelectrons.

Facile preparation and characterization of tough poly(vinyl alcohol) organohydrogels with low friction and self-cleaning properties

        Jia Yang,Jiajia Hao,Chen Tang,Yaxin Guo,Mingxin Guo,Zhipeng Li,Shuzheng Liu,Hui Yu,Gang Qin,Qiang Chen 한국공업화학회 2022 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.116 No.-

Although many hydrogels have been applied to wearable sensors, it is still challenging to simultaneouslyrealize hydrogels with optical transparency, superior mechanical properties, excellent sensing performance, and anti-freezing by using inexpensive raw materials and an easy preparation process. Herein, using ethylene glycol/H2O (EG/ H2O) as a solvent, poly(vinyl alcohol)/EG organohydrogel (PVA/EGOHG) was prepared by a simple heating and frozen-thawing method. Owing to the multifunctionalityof EG (i.e., physical cross-linker, anti-freezer and co-solvent), PVA/EG OHG demonstrated excellent integratedproperties, including high strength, high toughness, and anti-freezing performances. Besides, PVA/EG OHG also showed low friction, self-cleaning, and frost resistance properties. After the introduction ofLiCl, ionically conductive PVA/EG @LiCl organohydrogel was served as a self-cleaning strain sensor, whichcould be long-term stable to detect the motions of human under room and low temperatures. The studyprovides to further understanding of the organohydrogel, which will help us design next-generationhigh-performance organohydrogels.

Yap signalling regulates ductular reactions in mice with CRISPR/Cas9-induced glycogen storage disease type Ia

        Yixia Xie,Baowei Hu,Yue Gao,Yaxin Tang,Guohe Chen,Jiayuan Shen,Zhikai Jiang,He Jiang,Jiwei Han,Junyan Yan,Lifang Jin 한국통합생물학회 2022 Animal cells and systems Vol.26 No.6

Glycogen storage disease type Ia (GSD-Ia) is caused by a deficiency in the glucose-6-phosphatase (G6Pase, G6pc) enzyme, which catalyses the final step of gluconeogenesis and glycogenolysis. Accumulation of G6pc can lead to an increase in glycogen and development of fatty liver. Ductular reactions refer to the proliferation of cholangiocytes and hepatic progenitors, which worsen fatty liver progress. To date, however, ductular reactions in GSD-Ia remain poorly understood. Here, we studied the development and potential underlying mechanism of ductular reactions in GSD-Ia in mice. We first generated GSD-Ia mice using CRISPR/Cas9 to target the exon 3 region of the G6pc gene. The typical GSD-Ia phenotype in G6pc−/− mice was then analysed using biochemical and histological assays. Ductular reactions in G6pc−/− mice were tested based on the expression of cholangiocytic markers cytokeratin 19 (CK19) and epithelial cell adhesion molecule (EpCAM). Yes-associated protein 1 (Yap) signalling activity was measured using western blot (WB) analysis and quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). Verteporfin was administered to the G6pc−/− mice to inhibit Yap signalling. The CRISPR/Cas9 system efficiently generated G6pc−/− mice, which exhibited typical GSD-Ia characteristics, including retarded growth, hypoglycaemia, and fatty liver disease. In addition, CK19- and EpCAM-positive cells as well as Yap signalling activity were increased in the livers of G6pc−/− mice. However, verteporfin treatment ameliorated ductular reactions and decreased Yap signalling activity. This study not only improves our understanding of GSD-Ia pathophysiology, but also highlights the potential of novel therapeutic approaches for GSD-Ia such as drug targeting of ductular reactions.

Simultaneous activation of KHSO5 and BuOOH by iron octacarboxyphthalocyanine loaded on fly ash microspheres to boost pollutant degradation

        Dapeng Li,Peng Zhang,Jiangtao Duan,Yaxin Wu,Na Ding,Zhenyu Wan,Longqi Chen,Jingli Xu,Suxiang Ge,Juntao Ma 한국공업화학회 2022 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.114 No.-

Utilization of fly ash (FA) wastes as the carriers of catalysts for the environmental application is an economicand practical strategy for their low cost, easy accessibility and thermal stability. However, mostcatalysts immobilized on fly ash were metal or metal oxides, some potential catalysts such as metalphthalocyanine complexes have not been reported upon their heterogeneous catalysis with FA as the carriers. In this paper, highly active iron octacarboxyphthalocyanine were immobilized onto the bird nestlikesurfaces of fly ash microspheres after NaOH activation. It is noted that the FeOCPc@FA compositeswith only 2 wt.% exhibited the high catalytic efficiency in the organic dye degradation. The high concentrationof 30 mg/L rhodamine B and methylene blue could be fast decolorized in the presence ofFeOCPc@FA–2 % and KHSO5. Moreover, the ultrafast decolorization of these dyes could be observed inthe catalytic system composed of FeOCPc@FA–2 %, KHSO5 and BuOOH (tert-butyl hydroperoxide). Simultaneous activation of KHSO5 and BuOOH could be realized in our designed catalytic system. Based on the structural characterizations of composites and active species generated during the catalyticprocesses, the probable generation pathway of metal–oxygen active species and various radicals wereanalyzed to explicate the catalytic mechanism. Our investigation provides a high efficiency, low costand environmentally friendly strategy for advanced oxidation treatment of organic pollutants.

The Correlation between Thyrotropin and Dyslipidemia in a Population-based Study

        Li Lu,Beibei Wang,Zhongyan Shan,Fengwei Jiang,Xiaochun Teng,Yanyan Chen,Yaxin Lai,Jiani Wang,Haibo Xue,Sen Wang,Chenyan Li,He Liu,Ningna Li,Jiashu Yu,Liangfeng Shi,Xin Hou,Qian Xing,Xue Bai,Weiping Te 대한의학회 2011 Journal of Korean medical science Vol.26 No.2

This study investigated the relationship between serum thyrotrophin levels and dyslipidemia in subclinical hypothyroid and euthyroid subjects. A total of 110 subjects with subclinical hypothyroidism and 1,240 euthyroid subjects enrolled in this study. Patients with subclinical hypothyroidism had significantly lower high density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) levels than those who were euthyroid. The lipid profiles were each categorized and mean thyrotrophin levels were higher in subjects in the dyslipidemia subclasses than subjects in the normal subclasses. Thyrotrophin was positively associated with serum triglyceride and negatively associated with serum HDL-C in women. Thyrotrophin was also positively associated with total cholesterol (TC) in the overweight population along with TC and LDL-C in overweight women. In the euthyroid population, thyrotrophin was positively associated with TC in the overweight population. In conclusion, serum thyrotrophin was correlated with dyslipidemia in subclinical hypothyroid and euthyroid subjects; the correlation was independent of insulin sensitivity.

Three sesquiterpene lactones suppress lung adenocarcinoma by blocking TMEM16A-mediated Ca2+-activated Cl− channels

        Ruilian Xiu,Jie Jia,Qing Zhang,Fengjiao Liu,Yaxin Jia,Yuanyuan Zhang,Beibei Song,Xiaodan Liu,Jingwei Chen,Dongyang Huang,Fan Zhang,Juanjuan Ma,Honglin Li,Xuan Zhang,Yunyun Geng 대한약리학회 2023 The Korean Journal of Physiology & Pharmacology Vol.27 No.6

Transmembrane protein TMEM16A, which encodes calcium-activated chloride channel has been implicated in tumorigenesis. Overexpression of TMEM16A is associated with poor prognosis and low overall survival in multiple cancers including lung adenocarcinoma, making it a promising biomarker and therapeutic target. In this study, three structure-related sesquiterpene lactones (mecheliolide, costunolide and dehydrocostus lactone) were extracted from the traditional Chinese medicine Aucklandiae Radix and identified as novel TMEM16A inhibitors with comparable inhibitory effects. Their effects on the proliferation and migration of lung adenocarcinoma cells were examined. Whole-cell patch clamp experiments showed that these sesquiterpene lactones potently inhibited recombinant TMEM16A currents in a concentration- dependent manner. The half-maximal concentration (IC50) values for three tested sesquiterpene lactones were 29.9 ± 1.1 μM, 19.7 ± 0.4 μM, and 24.5 ± 2.1 μM, while the maximal effect (Emax) values were 100.0% ± 2.8%, 85.8% ± 0.9%, and 88.3% ± 4.6%, respectively. These sesquiterpene lactones also significantly inhibited the endogenous TMEM16A currents and proliferation, and migration of LA795 lung cancer cells. These results demonstrate that mecheliolide, costunolide and dehydrocostus lactone are novel TMEM16A inhibitors and potential candidates for lung adenocarcinoma therapy.
