Efficient Traffic Engineering for 5G Core and Backhaul Networks

        Gang Wang,Gang Feng,Shuang Qin,Ruihan Wen 한국통신학회 2017 Journal of communications and networks Vol.19 No.1

The next generation mobile networks (5G) should beefficient and elastic to accommodate numerous and diverse ser-vices. By explicitly assigning bandwidth to service flows, trafficengineering (TE) is effective to improve network efficiency andelasticity. Unfortunately, existing mobile network TE schemes aremostly focused on core network only, which is inadequate for effi-cient end-to-end traffic delivery in mobile networks. In this paper,we propose a TE framework that incorporates the data gateway(D-GW) selection and exploits the topology and traffic informa-tion of both core and backhaul networks for SDN-based 5G net-works. With ideal flow to D-GW association (IFDA) strategy, weformulate the TE problem as a multicommodity flow problem toachieve network load balancing. Considering the cooperation sig-nalling between D-GWs, we propose multiple BSs to one D-GWassociation (MBODA) and multiple flows to one D-GW associa-tion (MFODA) strategy, and formulate the corresponding TE prob-lems as mixed integer linear programs (MILPs) which are NP-hard. To efficiently solve the IFDA-TE problem, we design an im-proved version of fully polynomial time approximation scheme (i-FPTAS). Moreover, we propose a heuristic method and an LP re-laxation method that both use i-FPTAS to solve the MBODA-TEand MFODA-TE problems respectively. Numerical results showthat i-FPTAS achieves close-optimal solution with significantlylower computational complexity, compared with FPTAS, and theperformance of MFODA-TE is very close to that of the IFDA-TE,while there is a small performance degradation for MBODA-TE asthe cost of computational efficiency.

An electrode universal and self-healable integrated supercapacitor fabricated by physical adsorption based on mussel-inspired highly adhesive gel electrolyte

        Gang Qin,Yue Wang,Wenjie He,Da Zhang,Xiaojuan Yu,Fenghan Gong,Hengyi Yu,Xiang Yu,Jia Yang,Qiang Chen 한국공업화학회 2023 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.122 No.-

Integrated supercapacitor with stable electrochemical performance under complex deformations is theprospective energy storage device for wearable electronics. However, there is often a conflict betweenthe mechanical performance and the specific capacitance of the conventional conductive polymerbasedintegrated supercapacitor. In this work, a novel integrated supercapacitor based on adhesive gelelectrolyte has been prepared by physical adsorption, which not only avoids the drawbacks of the conventionalintegrated supercapacitor but also exhibits the electrode universality including powder electrodematerial. The adhesive triple network polyacrylamide/polydopamine/agar/H3PO4 gel electrolyteis fabricated with high ionic conductivity, toughness and adhesion. Based on this, the integrated supercapacitoris assembled by spraying activated carbon powder on both sides of the pre-stretched biaxiallygel electrolyte. Due to the strong interfacial adhesion, such a device exhibits low interfacial resistance andhigh specific capacitance of 155 mF/cm2 at 0.5 mA/cm2. More impressively, the capacitance retention canreach 92.4% after 10 cutting/healing cycles and even keep the brilliant self-healabillity at 20 C. Additionally, it can hold stable electrochemical performance when exposed to harsh environments. The physical adsorption strategy would offer novel inspiration for the development of integrated supercapacitorand has great practical applications in wearable and portable electronics.

Shaking Table Test on Seismic Responses of a Monolithic Precast Concrete Shear Wall Structure

        Chao-gang Qin,Guoliang Bai,Ya-zhou Xu,Ning Fen Su,Tao Wu,Zhong Liang Li,Yu Zhe Sun 대한토목학회 2018 KSCE Journal of Civil Engineering Vol.22 No.10

To examine the seismic performance of Monolithic Precast Concrete Shear Wall (MPCSW) structure, a 1/5-scaled twelve-story model is designed and investigated by shaking table test, and connections between the precast elements and their impact on seismic performance of the overall model are comprehensively inspected and analyzed. Based on the testing results, the structural responses are divided into elastic stage and plastic stage, and the variations of dynamic characteristics, cracking and failure pattern, seismic responses of the model are accordingly presented. The experimental results indicate that most of critical cracks of the MPCSW model locate on the coupling beams and horizontal connections of precast concrete shear walls, and the fundamental frequency exhibits a successively decreasing trend during the entire testing process. Furthermore, The MPCSW model is designed in accordance with Chinese codes meets the requirement for the seismic fortification intensity of eight, and shows an adequate safety margin to resist collapse in the case of 0.90 g.

      • The CCND1 G870A Gene Polymorphism and Brain Tumor Risk: a Meta-analysis

        Qin, Ling-Yan,Zhao, Li-Gang,Chen, Xu,Li, Ping,Yang, Zheng,Mo, Wu-Ning Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.8

Background: In recent years, numerous studies have been performed to investigate the CCND1 G870A gene polymorphism impact on brain tumors susceptibility. Unfortunately, the results of previous studies were inconsistent. Therefore, we performed a meta-analysis to derive a more precise estimation of any association. Materials and Methods: We conducted a search in PubMed, Embase and CNKI covering all published papers up to November, 2013. Odds ratios (ORs) and their 95% confidence intervals (95%CIs) were applied to assess associations. Results: A total of 6 publications including 9 case-control studies met the inclusion criteria. The pooled ORs for the total included studies showed significant association among comparison A vs G (OR= 1.246, 95%CI= 1.092-1.423, p= 0.001), homozygote comparison AA vs GG (OR= 1.566, 95%CI= 1.194-2.054, p= 0.001), heterozygote comparison AG vs GG (OR= 1.290, 95%CI= 0.934-1.782, p= 0.122), dominant model AA/GA vs GG (OR= 1.381, 95%CI= 1.048-1.821, p= 0.022) and recessive model AA vs GA/GG (OR= 1.323, 95%CI= 1.057-1.657, p= 0.015) especially in glioma. Conclusions: CCND1 G870A polymorphism may increase brain tumor risk, especially for gliomas. However, more primary large scale and well-designed studies are still required to evaluate the interaction of CCND1 G870A polymorphism with brain tumor risk.

GPH1 is involved in glycerol accumulation in the three-dimensional networks of the nematode-trapping fungus Arthrobotrys oligospora

        Qin-Yi Wu,Yue-Yan Zhu,Cheng-Gang Zou,Ying-Qian Kang,Lian-Ming Liang 한국미생물학회 2016 The journal of microbiology Vol.54 No.11

Turgor is very important for the invasive growth of fungal pathogens. Glycerol, a highly osmotic solvent, is considered to play an important role in turgor generation. The nematophagous fungus Arthrobotrys oligospora mainly lives as a saprophyte. In the presence of nematodes, A. oligospora enters the parasitic stage by forming three-dimensional networks (traps) to capture nematodes. In A. oligospora, we found that glycerol accumulated during nematode-induced trap formation. We demonstrated that deleting gph1, which encodes glycogen phosphorylase, decreased the glycerol content, compared with that of a wild-type strain. Although the number of traps induced by nematodes was not affected in the Δgph1 mutant, the capture rate was lower. Meanwhile, deleting gph1 also affected the growth rate and conidiation capacity of the fungus. These results indicate that glycerol derived from GPH1 is essential for the full virulence of A. oligospora against nematodes.

Cloning and Characterization of Ribosome-associated Membrane Protein 4 (RAMP4) gene in silkworm Bombyx mori

( Qin Yao ),( Zhi Gang Hu ),( Jia Ping Xu ),( Ke Ping Chen ) 한국잠사학회 2005 International Journal of Industrial Entomology Vol.10 No.2

Ribosome-associated membrane protein 4 (RAMP4) is a membrane protein that exposes its N-terminal hydrophilic portion on the cytoplasmic side and spans the membrane close to the C-terminal end. RAMP4 has previously been reported to belong to the set of proteins that remains associated with membrane-bound ribosomes, and controls the glycosylation of major histocompatbility complex class II-associated invariant chain. RAMP4 also may be relative to the stabilization of membrane proteins in response to stress, with other components of translocon, and molecular chaperons in ER. Application of 5`-RACE technique with specially designed primer, we cloned a 715 bp cDNA fragment which contains a 195 bp ORF, termed RAMP4. The deduced protein has 64 amino acid residues and contains a putative transmembrane-spanning domain at the COOH terminus.

      • The CCND1 G870A Gene Polymorphism and Leukemia or Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma Risk: a Meta-analysis

Qin, Ling-Yan,Zhao, Li-Gang,Chen, Xu,Yang, Zheng,Mo, Wu-Ning Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.16

In recent years, mounting evidence has indicated that the CCND1 G870A gene polymorphism, which impacts the mitotic cell cycle, may influence leukemia or non-Hodgkin lymphoma risk. Unfortunately, the previous results were inconsistent. Therefore, a meta-analysis was performed to obtain a more precise estimation of any association. We conducted a search in PubMed, Embase and CNKI covering all published papers up to March, 2014. A total of 9 publications including 10 case-control studies met the inclusion criteria. Odds ratios (ORs) and their 95% confidence intervals (95%CIs) were applied to assess association. The pooled ORs showed significant association in non-Hodgkin lymphoma (comparison A vs G: OR= 1.114, 95%CI=1.053-1.179, p=0.000; homozygote comparison AA vs GG: OR=1.245, 95%CI=1.110-1.396, p=0.000; heterozygote comparison AG vs GG: OR=1.095, 95%CI=1.000-1.199, p=0.05; dominant model AA/GA vs GG: OR=1.137, 95%CI=1.043-1.239, p=0.003; and recessive model AA vs GA/GG: OR=1.177, 95%CI=1.066-1.301, p=0.001). However, there was no association between the CCND1 G870A polymorphism and leukemia risk. In conclusion, the CCND1 G870A polymorphism may increase risk of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, but not leukemia. However, more primary large scale and well-designed studies are still required to evaluate the interaction of CCND1 G870A polymorphism with leukemia and non-Hodgkin lymphoma risk.

Characterization, Cloning, and Heterologous Expression of a Subtilisin-Like Serine Protease Gene VlPr1 from Verticillium lecanii

        Gang Yu,Jin-Liang Liu,Li-Qin Xie,Xue-Liang Wang,Shi-Hong Zhang,Hong-Yu Pan 한국미생물학회 2012 The journal of microbiology Vol.50 No.6

The entomopathogenic fungus Verticillium lecanii is a wellknown biocontrol agent. V. lecanii produces subtilisin-like serine protease (Pr1), which is important in the biological control activity of some insect pests by degrading insect cuticles. In this study, a subtilisin-like serine protease gene VlPr1 was cloned from the fungus and the VlPr1 protein was expressed in Escherichia coli. The VlPr1 gene contains an open reading frame (ORF) interrupted by three short introns, and encodes a protein of 379 amino acids. Protein sequence analysis revealed high homology with subtilisin serine proteases. The molecular mass of the protease was 38 kDa, and the serine protease exhibited its maximal activity at 40°C and pH 9.0. Protease activity was also affected by Mg2+ and Ca2+ concentration. The protease showed inhibitory activity against several plant pathogens, especially towards Fusarium moniliforme.

Characterization of an Alien Chromosome of Oryza officinalis Transferred the Genomic and Cytological Environment of Oryza sativa

        Gang Li,Ming Tang,Wei Hu,Guangcun He,Hong Liu,Xuequn Liu,Rui Qin 한국식물학회 2010 Journal of Plant Biology Vol.52 No.4

Distant hybridization between rice species and their genome interactions have become the hot points of genetic research. The new formed hybrid was unstable and many of the alien chromosomes would be excluded out in the meiosis procedure. In this study, we investigated the phenomenon that the monosomic alien addition lines (MAALs) of Oryza officinalis (CC)–Oryza sativa (AA)inherited in the genomic and cytoplasmic environments of cultivated rice. In a series of backcross programs, every time the MAALs were backcrossed with the recurrent parent Hejiang19, we get a portion of the backcross progenies that were similar to the female parent MAALs in morphological characters (with rolled leaves) and chromosome constitutions (2n+1). The monosomic alien chromosome exhibited stable inheritance in the genomic and cytoplasmic environments of cultivated rice. Molecular biology and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH)analyses on mitotic cells showed that the alien chromosomes in MAALs were inclined to be transferred integrated into the backcross progenies with rolled leaves and no big fragments of alien chromosomes introgressing into the chromosomes of cultivated rice. By FISH analysis on the meiotic cells, we proved that the single alien chromosome performing nonstandard meiosis and behaving like a dispensable genetic factor, which would be the cytological reasons for the stable inheritance of alien chromosomes.

Simulation Analysis of Flexible Track Drilling Machines Based on ADAMS

        Zhong-gang Zhu(주중강),Qi Zhang(장기),Jian-Hua Lv(려건화),Zhen Qin(진진),Sung-Ki Lyu(류성기) 한국기계가공학회 2018 한국기계가공학회지 Vol.17 No.5

Flexible track drilling machines are credited with important applications in the area of aircraft manufacturing because of their portability, quick installation capabilities, and high efficiency. However, their structures are special and the constitution principles and motion characteristics are difficult to control, increasing the development costs and research cycle in the context of the technology blockade of foreign companies. The simulation analysis of flexible track drilling machines can be conducted by applying virtual prototypes, shortening the development cycle and reducing the cost. In this paper, a model of a machine is established by using the SolidWorks software and imported into ADAMS to conduct kinematic and dynamic simulation analysis. During the analysis, the feasibility of the configuration is checked, a reasonable driving motion is chosen, potential deficiencies are found, and improvement actions are raised.
