      • The RAS Scheduling Algorithm Based on 802.11n WIFI Router

        In order to solve the frame overhead to the influence of frame transmission performance, improve the throughput, lower hybrid scenario user acces delay, improve user (802.11 n) especially the user experience, this paper aimed at different rate of terminal equipment, designs the RAS algorithm, this algorithm through optimizing scheduling, in does not affect user delay at low speed, reduce the high-speed users send time delay.The algorithm is reasonable configuration of channel resources, make full use of the high speed channel rate, rate of various users (especially in high speed rate of users) to improve the user experience .In the Chariot on Atheros9341 chip using TCP service test 802.11 n AP topology network end-to-end delay and throughput, thus the proposed method was verified. The measured results showed that the proposed method can improve the AP client in a high-density environment effective machine capacity, and increase the throughput, reduce the delay.

        Adaptive Dual Closed Loop Speed Control with Throttle Valve Dynamics for Natural Gas Engine in Range-Extended Electric Vehicles

        This study presents an adaptive dual closed-loop speed control strategy for the natural gas engine used in a range extender to improve the robustness against parameter uncertainties, unmodeled dynamics and unknown disturbance. Compared to existing methods, this strategy takes into account the influence of the throttle valve dynamics on the intake airflow in the design of the inner-loop intake pressure controller, which is strongly nonlinear, and considers the inaccuracy of the output torque as well as unknown disturbance in the outer-loop speed controller design, which is more practical. Furthermore, the controller is incorporated with an adaptive strategy to overcome the uncertainty of parameters using the information of the engine speed and the intake pressure. Theoretical analysis indicates that this strategy can meet the demands of the wide range speed regulation of the range extender engine without knowing the specific values of the engine parameters. Moreover, the capability of the proposed controller to preserve the performance in the presence of disturbance in various working conditions is evaluated by co-simulation on the platform of Matlab/Simulink with GTpower and experiments on a range extender.

        Investigation of the Probability of a Safe Evacuation to Succeed in Subway Fire Emergencies Based on Bayesian Theory

        Emergency evacuation in subway fires is one of the hot issues in public safety. Based on Bayesian theory, a dynamic evacuation risk analysis model considering both psychological and behavioral responses of evacuees was proposed in this contribution. A subway fire scene was modeled using the Event Tree Analysis (ETA) according to the questionnaire survey at Nanjing Xinjiekou station. In this fire scenario, three control events (the fire alarm, the exhaust system and the evacuation route) were related to fire evacuation control and two control events (active escape and passive escape), which were specifically defined, were related to personnel characteristics. Subsequently, the probability of the final state of each scene was calculated by Monte Carlo simulation. Combined with the statistics of accidents and safe evacuation of subway fire cases from 1976 to 2013, the posterior probability distribution of safety evacuation was obtained after real-time dynamic updating of its precursor probability through Bayesian theory. Results show that the posterior probability of safety evacuation to succeed is around 0.8. This indicates that there is still a probability of 0.2 resulting in injury or fatalities in subway accidents even though most passengers are safely evacuated. It also suggests that utilization of 0.2 as the safety threshold would be an appropriate choice.

        Wabi-Sabi 미학의식이 현대 브랜드 아이덴티티에 미치는 영향 -일본 MUJI 브랜드를 중심으로-

        본 논문연구는 일본의 고전적인 전통 미학의식인 wabi-sabi(わび・さび)의 ‘Sabi(寂)’를 중심으로 진행한다. 이를 토대로 ‘사비’에서 ‘적색(寂色)’, ‘적심(寂心)’의 여러 측면의 의미가 일본 MUJI에 주로 구현된 모습을 분석하고, 일본고전 전통 wabi-sabi의 미학적 의식과 일본 현대 제품디자인의 융합적 응용을 설명하였다. 다양한 연구 방법을 통해 MUJI의 디자인 이념과 와비 사비 미학 특징 간의 연관성을 찾아내어 브랜드의 미학적 가치와 브랜드 아이덴티티를 높이고자한다. 현대 제품디자인은 전통 특유의 미학적 의식과 제품 조형, 색상, 재질 및 디자인 이념을 결합하고, 이들 민족 특유의 문화요소를 가미함으로써 소비자가 제품을 구매하고 사용할 때 제품을 더 깊이 있게 느끼고 이해할 수 있도록 하였으며, 제품과 소비자 간의 물적 인적 교류를 높이고 소비자와 브랜드 간의 감정적 유대감을 형성한다. MUJI 브랜드 제품의 디자인 이념에 구현된 wabi-sabi 미학 특징과 브랜드 제품의 미적인 아이덴티티 요소 그리고 MUJI 제품과 스토어 및 포스트 디자인에 재현된 ‘적색’과 ‘적심’의 미학적 특징을 분석한다. wabi-sabi 스타일의 소박함, 단조, 앙상함, 조용함, 함축적임, 간결함, 소탈함이 다분한 MUJI의 느낌을 제품 외관디자인에 충분히 표현해냈으며, 아울러 제품을 사용할 때 물질과 세상의 혼란, 인정과 명리 등 사회적 제약, 침울함에서 벗어날 수 있도록 소비자의 내면 깊숙한 곳으로부터 공감 및 동질감을 불러일으킨다. 전통 미학은 현대 디자인에 중요한 영향을 주는 요소이다. 현대 기업의 브랜드 아이덴티티 디자인 중에서는 MUJI에 대한 분석을 통해 현대의 MUJI가 추구하는 자연스럽고 소박한 아름다움이 간결함을 중요시하는 동시에 그 안에 감정을 담아내는 것을 소홀히 하지 않았음을 알 수 있다. MUJI는 안팎의 호응을 통해 ‘적색’과 ‘적심’의 호환성을 표현하며, 일본의 고전적인 wabi-sabi 미학이 현대 제품디자인에 자연스럽게 스며든 영향을 구현해 냈다. 또한 기업 브랜드 아이덴티티에 대한 소비자의 동질감 형성에도 창의적인 가이드 역할을 하였음은 분명하다. 따라서 본 연구는 wabi-sabi 전통 미학 특징을 갖고 있는 MUJI 브랜드의 다양한 사례를 분석하여, 전통미학에 대한 소비자의 동질감을 이해하고, 현대 기업의 브랜드 아이덴티티 구축에 긍정적인 역할을 하고자 한다. This research, based on Wabi-sabi in the Japanese classical traditional aesthetics, analyzes how “sabi color”(寂色) and “sabi heart”(寂心), the main two levels of meaning in Wabi-Sabi, have been reflected in MUJI products, which is also a fusion application of Japanese classical and traditional aesthetic consciousness with Japanese modern product design. And research methods are used to identify the relationship between the design philosophy of MUJI and the aesthetic characteristics of Wabi-sabi, so as to improve the brand"s aesthetic value and brand recognition. In modern product design and production, products whose modeling, color, material and design philosophy are combined with the unique traditional aesthetic awareness and added with unique ethnic cultural elements would enable consumers to discover a deeper experience and understanding when buying and using them. This would be useful to establish a heart-to-heart communication channel between consumers and the products and thus an emotional connection between consumers and the brand might be achieved. Through a specific analysis of how the aesthetic characteristics of Wabi-sabi are indicated in the design of MUJI and the factors that consumers recognize in the brand, the author has analyzed the elements of identity of the brand aesthetics in detail, including how the aesthetic characteristics of “sabi color”(寂色) and “sabi heart”(寂心) are expressed in the design of MUJI’s products, roadside stores and poster. The concept of Wabi-sabi, which was originally vague and difficult to describe in people’s minds, is concretely manifested in MUJI products. The MUJI image viewed as austere, simple, thin, low-key, meaningful, concise, conceal, and free, which is abundant in Wabi-sabi style, has been fully expressed in its product design. And meanwhile, people can get rid of such social restraints as material, human relations, fame, fortune, and unhappiness, so that MUJI’s products could reach the depths of consumers’ hearts and be recognized by them. Traditional aesthetic consciousness can become a core point that influences modern design. Therefore, this research, through a case study on MUJI with Wabi-sabi aesthetics, is aimed to improve consumers’ awareness of traditional aesthetics and play a positive role in how modern brands can improve their brand identities in the future. As for the design of the identity of modern corporate brands, this research, through the analysis of the two-level meanings of “sabi color”(寂色) and “sabi heart”(寂心) proposed by Onishi Yoshinori and the design philosophy of MUJI products, has found that modern MUJI products pursue such design aesthetics and manage to inject emotion into the design concept. “sabi color” and “sabi heart” echo both inside and outside of MUJI products, showing their compatibility, which has demonstrated that Japanese classical and traditional aesthetics not only exert influence on modern product design but will also play a creative and guiding role in establishing corporate brand identity in the future.

        Repair of flange damage steel-concrete composite girders using CFRP sheets

        Damaged steel-concrete composite girders can be repaired and retrofitted by epoxy-bonded carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheets to the critical areas of tension flanges. This paper presents the results of a study on the behavior of damaged steel-concrete composite girders repaired with CFRP sheets under static loading. A total of seven composite girders made of I20A steel sections and 80mm-thick by 900mm-wide concrete slabs were prepared and tested. CFRP sheets and prestressed CFRP sheets were used to repair the specimens. The specimens lost the cross-sectional area of their tension flanges with 30%, 50% and 100%. The results showed that CFRP sheets had no significant effect on the yield loads of strengthened composite girders, but had significant effect on the ultimate loads. The yield loads, elastic stiffness, and ultimate bearing capacities of strengthened composite girders had been changed as a result of prestressed CFRP sheets, the utilization ratio of CFRP sheets could be effectively improved by applying prestress to CFRP sheets. Both the yield loads and ultimate bearing capacities had been changed as a result of steel beam’s flange damage level and CFRP sheets could cover the girders’ shortage of bearing capacity with 30% and 50% flange damage, respectively.

        Relaxation Effect of Schisandra Chinensis Lignans on the Isolated Tracheal Smooth Muscle in Rats and Its Mechanism

        Schisandra chinensis (S. chinensis) is one of the core drugs used for relieving cough and asthma in traditional Chinese medicine. However, there are few basic studies on the treatment of respiratory diseases with S. chinensis in modern pharmacology, and the material basis and mechanism of its antiasthmatic effect are still unclear. Lignans are the main active components of S. chinensis. The aim of this study was to observe the relaxation effect of S. chinensis lignans (SCL) on the tracheal smooth muscle of rats by in vitro tracheal perfusion experiments, and to explore the mechanism by preincubation with L-type calcium channel blocker verapamil, four potassium channel blockers glibenclamide, tetraethylamine, 4-aminopyridine and barium chloride (BaCl2), β-adrenoceptor blocker propranolol, nitric oxide synthase inhibitor Nω-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester (L-NAME), and the cyclooxygenase inhibitor indomethacin, respectively. The results showed that SCL (0.25–1.75 mg/mL) reduced the contraction of isolated tracheal smooth muscle induced by acetylcholine, the preincubation with verapamil and glibenclamide could attenuate the relaxation effect, whereas propranolol, 4-aminopyridine, BaCl2, tetraethylamine, L-NAME, and indomethacin had no such effect. These results suggest that SCL has a significant relaxation effect on the isolated tracheal smooth muscle of rats, and the mechanism may be related to the inhibition of extracellular calcium influx and intracellular calcium release from the sarcoplasmic reticulum, as well as the activation of ATP-sensitive potassium channels. These findings may provide a pharmacological basis for the traditional use of S. chinensis to treat asthma.

        The antibacterial activity of E. coli bacteriophage lysin lysep3 is enhanced by fusing the Bacillus amyloliquefaciens bacteriophage endolysin binding domain D8 to the C-terminal region

        Bacteriophage endolysin is one of the most promising antibioticsubstitutes, but in Gram-negative bacteria, the outermembrane prevents the lysin from hydrolyzing peptidoglycansand blocks the development of lysin applications. Theprime strategy for new antibiotic substitutes is allowing lysinto access the peptidoglycan from outside of the bacteria byreformation of the lysin. In this study, the novel Escherichiacoli (E. coli) phage lyase lysep3, which lacks outside-in catalyticability, was fused with the N-terminal region of theBacillus amyloliquefaciens lysin including its cell wall bindingdomain D8 through the best manner of protein fusionbased on the predicted tertiary structure of lysep3-D8 to obtainan engineered lysin that can lyse bacteria from the outside. Our results showed that lysep3-D8 could lyse both Gramnegativeand Gram-positive bacteria, whereas lysep3 and D8have no impact on bacterial growth. The MIC of lysep3-D8on E. coli CVCC1418 is 60 μg/ml; lysep3-D8 can inhibit thegrowth of bacteria up to 12 h at this concentration. The bactericidalspectrum of lysep3-D8 is broad, as it can lyse of allof 14 E. coli strains, 3 P. aeruginosa strains, 1 Acinetobacterbaumannii strain, and 1 Streptococcus strain. Lysep3-D8 hassufficient bactericidal effects on the 14 E. coli strains testedat the concentration of 100 μg/ml. The cell wall binding domainof the engineered lysin can destroy the integrity of theouter membrane of bacteria, thus allowing the catalytic domainto reach its target, peptidoglycan, to lyse the bacteria. Lysep3-D8 can be used as a preservative in fodder to benefitthe health of animals. The method we used here proved to bea successful exploration of the reformation of phage lysin.

        Selection of Potential Virulence Factors Contributing to Streptococcus suis Serotype 2 Penetration into the Blood-Brain Barrier in an In Vitro Co-Culture Model

        Meningitis caused by Streptococcus suis serotype 2 (S. suis 2) is a great threat to the pig industry and human health. Virulence factors associated with the pathogenesis of meningitis have yet to be clearly defined, even though many potential S. suis 2 virulence factors have been identified. This greatly hinders the progress of S. suis 2 meningitis pathogenesis research. In this study, a co-culture blood-brain barrier (BBB) model was established using primary porcine brain microvascular endothelial cells and astrocytes, and the whole genome library of S. suis 2 was constructed using phage display technology. Finally, a total of 14 potential virulence factors contributing to S. suis 2 adherence to and invasion of the BBB were selected by analyzing the interactions between the phage library and the co-culture model. Twelve of these factors have not been previously reported in meningitis-related research. The data provide valuable insight into the pathogenesis of S. suis 2 meningitis and potential targets for the development of drug therapies.

        Arginine Supplementation Recovered the IFN-γ-Mediated Decrease in Milk Protein and Fat Synthesis by Inhibiting the GCN2/eIF2α Pathway, Which Induces Autophagy in Primary Bovine Mammary Epithelial Cells

        During the lactation cycle of the bovine mammary gland, autophagy is induced in bovine mammary epithelial cells (BMECs) as a cellular homeostasis and survival mechanism. Interferon gamma ($IFN-{\gamma}$) is an important antiproliferative and apoptogenic factor that has been shown to induce autophagy in multiple cell lines in vitro. However, it remains unclear whether $IFN-{\gamma}$ can induce autophagy and whether autophagy affects milk synthesis in BMECs. To understand whether $IFN-{\gamma}$ affects milk synthesis, we isolated and purified primary BMECs and investigated the effect of $IFN-{\gamma}$ on milk synthesis in primary BMECs in vitro. The results showed that $IFN-{\gamma}$ significantly inhibits milk synthesis and that autophagy was clearly induced in primary BMECs in vitro within 24 h. Interestingly, autophagy was observed following $IFN-{\gamma}$ treatment, and the inhibition of autophagy can improve milk protein and milk fat synthesis. Conversely, upregulation of autophagy decreased milk synthesis. Furthermore, mechanistic analysis confirmed that $IFN-{\gamma}$ mediated autophagy by depleting arginine and inhibiting the general control nonderepressible-2 kinase (GCN2)/eukaryotic initiation factor $2{\alpha}$ ($eIF2{\alpha}$) signaling pathway in BMECs. Then, it was found that arginine supplementation could attenuate $IFN-{\gamma}$-induced autophagy and recover milk synthesis to some extent. These findings may not only provide a novel measure for preventing the $IFN-{\gamma}$-induced decrease in milk quality but also a useful therapeutic approach for $IFN-{\gamma}$-associated breast diseases in other animals and humans.
