      • Enhanced Solo-Based Instance Segmentation Algorithm for Efficient Plant Growth Assessment: A Radish Case Study

        The dimensions of plants, including their length and width, as well as the size of their leaves, serve as crucial indicators for assessing their growth status. These factors provide essential data for studying plant conditions. This article introduces an algorithm for instance segmentation based on Solo, with the addition of a residual block module to enhance segmentation performance. The original rectified linear unit (ReLU) activation function is replaced with a functional ReLU (PReLU), and an open turnip segmentation dataset is proposed. Experimental results demonstrate that, in comparison to the original model, the average accuracy of the modified model reaches 87.6%, an improvement of approximately 2.0%. The improved algorithm accurately segments turnips and their leaves, exhibiting superior accuracy in measuring both turnip and leaf dimensions. Compared to manual measurements, the average accuracy for turnip length is 97.38%, turnip width is 95.46%, turnip leaf length is 97.79%, and turnip leaf width is 96.13%.

        A Dynamic Control Method for Cavs Platoon Based on the MPC Framework and Safety Potential Field Model

        Safety and efficiency have always been significant challenges to the development of road traffic. Detailed vehicle motion information is the prerequisite for achieving optimal control of the platoon and improving traffic safety and efficiency. The connected and automated vehicles (CAVs) system has offered unprecedented opportunities for the real-time collection and processing of these detailed vehicle motion data. Based on the model predictive control (MPC) framework and safety potential field (SPF) model, we developed an alternative CAVs platoon dynamic control method. The SPF model was applied to describe the road risk distribution under the complex driving environment and was embedded in the MPC framework to optimize the vehicle dynamics from the perspective of capacity, safety, and energy-saving. Also, some experiments were performed to verify the validity of our platoon control strategy. Compared with the fixed time-headway strategy, our proposed strategy can increase the traffic capacity by about 24.4%, while ensuring safety and improving fuel economy. The results indicate that the novel CAVs platoon control methodology proposed in this paper can be potentially applied to alleviate various traffic problems (e.g., traffic congestion, traffic accidents, and high emissions).

Our findings underscore the model's notable proficiency in discerning negative feedback, thus functioning as a vital tool for enterprises to comprehend customer sentiments in real-time. The insights gleaned from our research extend beyond Starbucks, offering valuable insights for diverse businesses aiming to leverage customer feedback for service enhancement and strategic decision-making. Looking ahead, the potential integration of deep learning techniques holds promising prospects for further enhancing sentiment analysis capabilities.

        사용자의 취향과 의견은 텍스트 리뷰를 통해 느낌과 경험을 보여주며, 이러한 텍스트 리뷰는 프로그램 응용 사용자 경험을 개선하는 데 도움이 된다. 온라인 텍스트 리뷰는 소셜 미디어 회사의 관심을 끌 뿐만 아니라 앱 구매에 대한 고객 선호도에도 영향을 미친다. 그래서 이 글은 인스타그램과 페이스북을 분류하여 두 앱 사용자들의 리뷰를 모았다. 분류 결과는 전처리 된 텍스트 데이터를 사용하여 LDA의 주제 분류 모델을 사용하여 시각화되었다. 연구 결과에 따르면 앱 사용에 대한 사용자의 전반적인 만족도를 평가하고 소비자의 선택성을 볼 수 있으며, LDA 분석 및 모델링 결과를 사용하여 최상의 모델 효과를 찾을 수 있다. Online text reviews attract the attention of social media companies while influencing customer preferences for purchasing applications. Therefore this work collected comments from users of both applications, focusing on INS and Facebook. By using the pre-processed text data, the classification results were visualized using LDAs topic classification model. Based on the results of the study, we were able to assess the overall satisfaction of users using the app and see the selectivity of consumers, in addition, we used the results of the LDA analysis and modeling to find the best model results.

        Effects of exposure to trace pyriproxyfen on the intestinal bacterial diversity and immune signal pathways of silkworm (Bombyx mori) larvae

        Silkworm (Bombyx mori) is a widely used lepidopteran model insect. Pyriproxyfen is an insect growth regulator (IGR) that can be used to control pests such as lepidoptera and diptera, and there is no research about its in fluence on the intestinal bacterial diversity and immune signal pathway of non-target lepidopteran insect larvae. In this study, we treated fifth-instar silkworms with trace pyriproxyfen (10 − 4 mg/L). The results showed that the abundance and diversity of silkworm larvae intestinal flora at the level of phylum, class, order, family and genus were all changed. The function prediction result showed that the functional changes mainly focused on tran scription, amino acid transport and metabolism, carbohydrate transport and metabolism, signal transduction mechanisms, energy production and conversion et al. after exposure to trace pyriproxyfen. Furthermore, qRTPCR results showed that trace pyriproxyfen exposure activated the transcriptions of antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) genes regulated by Toll and IMD pathways. This research can lay the foundation for the study on the resistance of lepidopteran insects to pyriproxyfen and other juvenile hormone pesticides.

        The Effect of Green Transformation on the Operating Efficiency of Green M&A Enterprises: Evidence from China

        Environmental protection has been infused into the development of numerous fields by the Chinese government. The government’s implementation of green development has also shifted its focus to green transformation and governance of highpolluting companies. In the context of green and sustainable development, this study employs DEA data envelopment analysis to compare the operating efficiency of listed firms that implemented Green Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) in China in 2018. The conclusions of this study are as follows: First, China’s green M&A enterprises are unevenly dispersed among the country’s east, middle, and western regions. Second, compared to before the implementation of Green M&A, operational efficiency has improved in most industries. Third, the difference in Green M&A across industries is generally favorable, showing that most organizations have improved their operational performance as a result of Green M&A implementation. In 2018, however, the gap in operating efficiency is more negative. Fourth, whereas the eastern and western areas’ operational efficiency has improved as a result of Green M&A, the central region’s has not. Based on this conclusion, this study makes recommendations for China’s future sustainable development of heavily polluted firms.

        Parameters Estimation of the Mathematical Model of Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Stacks based on a Fractional‑order Water Strider Algorithm

        In recent decades, in the use of science and technology, extensive research has been conducted on an academic and industrial scale to introduce new sources of energy that are fully constructed to meet the needs of today’s human beings. One of these new sources that use your special energy is a fuel cell. A fuel cell is a clean source that converts the chemical energy in a fuel directly into electrical energy by performing two separate electrochemical reactions separately. Providing a proper model for the Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) as one of the useful fuel cells is critical for reducing the costs of the design. However, the complexity of this problem made it a challenging task owing to the complex and highly nonlinear nature. Particularly, for SOFCs, the model should be optimized under diff erent temperature and pressure operating conditions. The present study proposes a newly developed version of the Water Strider Algorithm, called Fractional-order Water Strider Algorithm (FOWSA) for optimal identifi cation of the SOFC parameters. Using the proposed FOWSA is introduced to improve the original WSA to provide better convergence and global optimization results. The effi ciency of the suggested FOWSA has been fi rstly validated and then, the designed method is performed to a practical case study and the sensitivity analysis in terms of temperature and pressure. The fi nal results indicate that the suggested method shows outstanding effi ciency toward the compared methods.

        Thermal deformation analysis and compensation of the direct-drive five-axis CNC milling head

        The machining precision of the milling head is primarily affected by the thermal errors that originated from the thermal deformation. Thermal error compensation is an economical and efficient method to overcome these thermal errors. The milling head’s heat source is analyzed to calculate the thermal boundary load based on component parameters of the milling head. The milling head’s thermal deformation is then simulated using ANSYS software to achieve the milling head’s temperature distribution and the amount of thermal deformation. Through the design and construction of the milling head temperature and thermal deformation experiment platform, the thermal deformation experiment of the milling head is performed. Accordingly, the measuring point temperature and the tooltip offset are obtained. Finally, a thermal error compensation method is proposed based on the homogeneous transformation. The research results give a theoretical reference and technical support for the thermal error compensation, optimized design, and development of milling heads.
