        성인간호학회지 논문(1989-2000)의 내용과 경향 분석

        "Journal of Korean Academy of Adult Nursing" has been published since 1989 and more than 330 articles have been published up 2000. We reviewed all the articles published in this journal to analyze the contents and trend of published articles and to find out the way of improvement both in quantity and quality of studies in this area. The results are as follows : 1) Ninety percent of articles were quantitative studies. Experimental design was used in 16.1% and quasi-experimental design was adapted in 73.6% of articles. Qualitative research were 10.3% of total articles reviewed. 2) Only 5.1% of articles described theoretical framework and 73.6% of experimentally designed articles included research hypotheses. 3) Among experimental studies, only one was true experimental studie design. Eighty nine point three persent had descriptive survey method among non-experimental studies. Amog the thirty four qualitative studies, phenomenologic(73.5%), grounded theory(14.7%), and ethnographic (11.8%) design were used. 4) Most of research subject were patients and few healthy people, healthcare worker, and patient family. 5) Psychosocial data collection method which used questionnaire were 53.7% and interview. physical measurement, observation were used in 22.8%. 8.2% 5.4% of articles respectively. 6) Total number of keywords were 692, and average number of key words per article was 2.2. Health-related keyword was the most frequently used according to four metaparadigm of nursing (human, health, nursing, and environment). Environment related keyword was rarely appeared. The number and quality of nursing research in "Journal of Korean Academy of Adult Nursing" have been improved continuously. It is difficult to find out special trend or characteristics which is unique in this journal because of relatively short history of adult nursing studies. This review study was performed to analyze adult nursing studies only in the view of quantitative aspect, but it is needed to analyse qualitatively to find philosophical or theoretical trend in nursing.

      • Potential forensic application of receptor for advanced glycation end products (RAGE) and aquaporin 5 (AQP5) as novel biomarkers for diagnosis of drowning

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Drowning is the most common cause of unnatural death worldwide. There is no single biomarker to diagnose drowning, so the diagnosis of drowning is one of the most difficult tasks in forensic medicine. Especially, distinguishing a victim of drowning from a body disposed of in water following death remains a problem. The objective of this study was to identify specific biomarkers of drowning compared with other causes of death such as hypoxia and postmortem submersion. The present study investigated the intrapulmonary expression of receptor for advanced glycation end products (RAGE), aquaporin-5 (AQP5), surfactant protein-A (SP-A), interleukin 6 (IL-6) and interleukin 1β (IL-1β) as markers of drowning. In animal experiments, all rats (n = 45) were classified into four groups (drowning, postmortem-submersion, hypoxia and control group). The lungs of experimental animals were analyzed as mRNA expression, immunoblot expression and immunohistochemical staining. qRT-PCR demonstrated increased mRNA expression of RAGE and AQP5 in drowning group compared with that in control, hypoxia and postmortem-submersion group, but not other molecules. Western blotting also showed high expression of RAGE and AQP5 in drowning group, immunostaining of RAGE and AQP5 was highly detected in a linear pattern in type I alveolar epithelial cells, compared with control and postmortem-submersion group. These observations indicate a difference of expression in pulmonary molecular pathology compared with other causes, suggesting RAGE and AQP5 may be useful for differentiation between drowning and postmortem-submersion.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> RAGE and AQP5 mRNA showed increased expression in drowning compared with postmortem-submersion. </LI> <LI> Western blotting and IHC staining analysis also showed high expression of RAGE and AQP5 in drowning group. </LI> <LI> RAGE and AQP5 can be helpful to differentiate drowning from postmortem-submersion. </LI> </UL> </P>

        Fuzzy PD plus I Controller of a CSTR for Temperature Control

        A chemical reaction occurring in CSTR (Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor) is significantly affected by the concentration, temperature, pressure, and reacting time of materials, and thus it has strong nonlinear and time-varying characteristics. Also, when an existing linear PID controller with fixed gain is used, the performance could deteriorate or could be unstable if the system parameters change due to the change in the operating point of CSTR. In this study, a technique for the design of a fuzzy PD plus I controller was proposed for the temperature control of a CSTR process. In the fuzzy PD plus I controller, a linear integral controller was added to a fuzzy PD controller in parallel, and the steady-state performance could be improved based on this. For the fuzzy membership function, a Gaussian type was used; for the fuzzy inference, the Max-Min method of Mamdani was used; and for the defuzzification, the center of gravity method was used. In addition, the saturation state of the actuator was also considered during controller design. The validity of the proposed method was examined by comparing the set-point tracking performance and the robustness to the parameter change with those of an adaptive controller and a nonlinear proportional-integral-differential controller.

      • TNF-α gene silencing using polymerized siRNA/thiolated glycol chitosan nanoparticles for rheumatoid arthritis.

        <P>Among various proinflammatory cytokines involved in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA), tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-alpha, plays a pivotal role in the release of other cytokines and induction of chronic inflammation. Even though siRNA has the therapeutic potential, they have a challenge to be delivered into the target cells because of their poor stability in physiological fluids. Herein, we design a nanocomplex of polymerized siRNA (poly-siRNA) targeting TNF-alpha with thiolated. glycol chitosan (tGC) polymers for the treatment of RA. Poly-siRNA is prepared through self-polymerization of thiol groups at the 5' end of sense and antisense strand of siRNA and encapsulated into tGC polymers, resulting in poly-siRNA-tGC nanoparticles (psi-tGC-NPs) with an average diameter of 370 nm. In the macrophage culture system, psi-tGC-NPs exhibit rapid cellular uptake and excellent in vitro TNF-a gene silencing efficacy. Importantly, psi-tGC-NPs show the high accumulation at the arthritic joint sites in collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) mice. Treatment monitoring data obtained by the matrix metalloproteinase 3 specific nanoprobe and microcomputed tomography show that intravenous injection of psi-tGC-NPs significantly inhibits inflammation and bone erosion in CIA mice, comparable to methotrexate (5 mg/kg). Therefore, the availability of psi-tGC-NP therapy that target specific cytokines may herald new era in the treatment of RA.</P>

      • 대학 교양 표현교과 멀티미디어 활용 방안 연구

        이 논문은 학습자의 언어표현능력 향상이 목표인 교양과목에서 멀티미디어를 활용하는 방안을 연구한 것이다. 21세기 학습자들은 태어난 순간부터 디지털 미디어의 세계에서 성장한다. TV, 인터넷은 물론 스마트폰, 태블릿 PC, e-book에 이르기까지 거의 모든 생활이 디지털화 되어 있다. 이는 학습자들의 이해와 표현의 알고리즘이 디지털화되어 있다고 봐도 과언이 아니다. 미디어 세대, 디지털 세대의 언어 표현능력을 향상시키기 위해서는 학습자 맞춤식 자료를 활용하는 것도 시대에 발맞추는 방안이 될 것이다. 대학 교양 과목에는 작문과 화법으로 대표되는 표현교과가 있다. ‘글쓰기,’ ‘삶과 글’, ‘사고와 표현’등 교과명은 다르나 그 목적은 표현능력 향상으로 동일하다. 문제는 표현력 향상을 위해 좋은 표현을 가르치고, 좋은 표현을 할 수 있게 한다는 방식으로 진행되는 수업이다. 표현을 위해서 이해가 전제되어야 함을 간과하고 있다. 특히 기본적인 소양과 지식을 갖추지 못한 상태에서 표현만 강조하는 것은 사상누각을 만들게 할 것이다. 학습자들이 관심을 갖고 정보를 찾아 이해하고, 주제에 대해 깊이 있는 사고를 거쳐 표현하는 과정을 유도하는 수업이 가장 효과적이다. 본고에서는 위와 같은 효과적인 수업을 위해 멀티미디어를 활용하는 방안을 구체적으로 고안해 보았다. 주변에서 찾을 수 있는 멀티미디어 자료로는 TV광고, 뉴스, 논평, 다큐멘터리, 시사교양프로그램, 인터넷 UCC, 영화, 그림이나 사진 등 생각할 주제를 가진 모든 미디어 자료이다. 수업을 진행하는 방법은 먼저 주제를 정한다. 주제는 ‘글의 종류’나 ‘화법의 종류’등 기본 교과서의 주단원에 맞춘다. 이 논문에서는 글의 종류는 ‘논설문’, 주제는 ‘빈부차’로 실제 강의에 필요한 내용을 담아 보았다. 글쓰기 3차시와 말하기 2차시로 총 5차시로 수업을 구성했으며, 주제에 맞추어 수업을 진행하는 구체적인 방법을 제시했다. 멀티미디어를 활용한 수업에서 교수자는 다음과 같은 몇 가지를 주의할 필요가 있다. 첫째, 자료는 수업 시간 내 소화가능한 분량이어야 한다. 둘째 미디어자료는 되도록 최신판이어야 한다. 셋째 학습자 피드백은 개별적으로 이루어지도록 한다. 넷째, 교수자가 미디어 활용 능력을 갖추어야 한다. 다섯째, 수업이 산만해지지 않도록 사전 준비를 철저히 한다. 여섯째, 교수자 스스로 올바른 가치관을 정립하고 있어야 한다. 빠르게 변화하는 시대에 그 변화를 주도하는 청년들의 언어 능력 향상을 도모한다면, 수업을 진행하는 교수자도, 수업 방법도, 수업 자료에도 변화가 필요하다. This paper focused on general writing and speaking as a general course in college. Most college students who takes the general course are about 18 to 19 years old, and they are fresh high school graduate. At this stage, they still do not have a grasp and insight of issues that are of importance. To develop a generation having critical view sight and wise thought, classes should be given as to develop this characteristic and at the same time improve their language skills. This study is based on this idea, to nurture a generation which can critically think and act wisely, and it all starts in the classroom. This paper suggests to extend the usage of multimedia materials in class. in this multimedia equipped generation, students are indispensible with electronic and digital devices such as smart phone, tablet pc etc. For the students, the ability to express themselves well highly depends on their ability in writing and speaking. Thus, the general Korean class should be able to encourage and stimulate them, helping them set a course on thier values. Lecturer could start by arranging multimedia materials such as TV news, documentary, movie, UCC, cartoon etc. to make up for students’ scanty information, at the same time make them focus in class. Lessons on how to express one’s opinion in writing/speaking not only means to enhance their skills but also to enable students to think and acquire adequate information about the specific topic. Here, we are building students who gradually set their values as a grown-up. Furthermore, this paper also suggests some points to be considered in course to lecturers.
