FOCCX: An Optimistic Concurrency Control Protocol over XML
Weifeng Shan,Husheng Liao 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Database Theory and Appli Vol.8 No.2
XML concurrency control protocol (CCP) is used to guard the consistence and isolation of transactions in Native XML databases. Experiments show that locking overhead of existing approaches based on locking may be huge, especially in the applications with few or without conflicts. Optimistic concurrency control (OCC) is an alternative to locking. This paper presents a new optimistic approach for concurrency control over XML documents named FOCCX (Forward oriented Optimistic Concurrency Control over XML) facing XPath-based API. FOCCX increases the degree of transaction concurrency. This is achieved by aborting the current transaction when a potential UPDATE-UPDATE conflict taking place as early as possible, and reduces comparison times by checking a small write set against read set of a limited number of concurrent transactions. Experimental results show that our protocol has superior performance to approaches based on Backward Oriented mechanism (BOCC).

Overlay networks have been widely deployed upon the Internet by Service Providers (SPs) to provide improved network services. However, the interaction between each overlay and traffic engineering (TE) as well as the interaction among co-existing overlays may occur. In this paper, we adopt both non-cooperative and cooperative game theory to analyze these interactions, which are collectively called hybrid interaction. Firstly, we model a situation of the hybrid interaction as an n+1-player non-cooperative game, in which overlays and TE are of equal status, and prove the existence of Nash equilibrium (NE) for this game. Secondly, we model another situation of the hybrid interaction as a 1-leader-n-follower Stackelberg-Nash game, in which TE is the leader and co-existing overlays are followers, and prove that the cost at Stackelberg-Nash equilibrium (SNE) is at least as good as that at NE for TE. Thirdly, we propose a cooperative coalition mechanism based on Shapley value to overcome the inherent inefficiency of NE and SNE, in which players can improve their performance and form stable coalitions. Finally, we apply distinct genetic algorithms (GA) to calculate the values for NE, SNE and the assigned cost for each player in each coalition, respectively. Analytical results are confirmed by the simulation on complex network topologies.

In this work, the extract of acanthopanax senticosus leaf (ASLE), prepared using one-step pure waterextraction method, is firstly utilized as a sustainable eco-friendly corrosion inhibitor for carbon steel inacidic solutions. The corrosion inhibition efficiency is evaluated by weight loss method and electrochemicaltests, including electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and potentiodynamic polarization curve. The compositions of ASLE are analyzed using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, components andmicrostructures of corrosion products are characterized by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray photoelectronspectroscopy. Results indicate that ASLE is successfully prepared using the clean productionprocess, and it can act as an efficient mixed-type corrosion inhibitor for Q235 carbon steel in 1 mol/LHCl. The maximum corrosion inhibition efficiency can reach 98.79 % after 144 h immersion with the additionof 150 mg/L. ASLE also displays the superior long-term corrosion inhibition performance. The protectivehydrophobic adsorption film can effectively retard the invasion of aggressive ions and inhibit thecorrosion of carbon steel in acidic service occasions.

A high step-up isolated forward-flyback DC-DC converter with pulse frequency modulation (PFM) is presented in this paper. The proposed converter has features of both a forward and a flyback converter and can deliver energy during the turn-on and turn-off intervals in a switching period. In addition, by utilizing resonance it can achieve zero-voltage switching (ZVS) for the primary switches and zero-current switching (ZCS) for the secondary rectifier diodes. All of the power semiconductors operate under soft switching conditions. The structure of the proposed converter is simple and easily implemented. It also provides a high step-up voltage gain. The current stresses of the power devices in PFM are lower than those in pulse width modulation (PWM). Therefore, the converter efficiency in PFM is higher than that in PWM. The operation principle and characteristic of the presented converter are described in detail, and the converter performances for PWM and PFM are compared. A 160 W hardware prototype has been built, and experimental results verify the validity of the theoretical analysis.

If lateral stiffness distribution of continuum structure is unreasonable, its displacement distribution will be non-uniform under lateral load. The non-uniform displacement distribution will weaken the safety of the structure. The continuum structure is equivalent to the cantilever. The optimal lateral stiffness distribution of the structure is obtained by adjusting the section size distribution. The wind load and earthquake action are simplified into three equivalent static loads: uniform load, inverted triangle load and inertia force related load. The shearing displacement and bending displacement distributions along the structural height are derived. The optimization objective is that the second derivative of the total displacement distribution is zero, that is, the displacement distribution is uniform. The section size of the cantilever is optimized and the optimal scheme is obtained. The optimization results are verified by numerical analysis and finite element analysis. The results show that the uniform displacement criterion can be realized by the cantilever with section size distribution of power function. The optimal parameters of the section under different loads are different. A practical design example is presented to prove the applicability.
Chemical Modification of Poly(vinylacetylene) and Synthesis of Poly(1,2,3-triazole)s
Wang, Lian-Jun,Liao, Shan,Wang, Le-Yong Korean Chemical Society 2011 Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society Vol.32 No.5
A series of new polymers containing 1,2,3-triazoles were synthesized and their structures and properties were characterized by FT-IR, $^1H$ NMR, TGA, DSC and GPC. The results showed that the polymers modified by alkyl groups had good solubility, thermal stability and reasonable molecular weights. It was also demonstrated that the properties of fluorine-containing polymers were seriously affected by fluorine atoms with hydrophobic and chemical proof properties.
