      • 지리산 계류수의 천연수질에 관한 연구

        Stream water quality is important because stream eventually flows into a river and lake and is relatively less contaminated by human activities than the corresponding receiving water bodies. Despite such importance, stream water quality has received less attention. This study was initiated to provide background information of water quality for Baekmudong and Jungsanri streams which leads to Jinyang lake. For this purpose, samples were collected from six different locations at four times. The samples were analyzed 10 Parameters of the drinking water standard, heavy metals (Zn, Pb, Fe, Cu, Ni, Cr) and NOM. This study found that the investigated stream consisted of intermediate runoff rather than surface runoff. It was supported by low saturation ratio of DO(70%) and high pH value. The DO saturation ratio showed high correlation with conductivity. Concentrations of sulfate and nitrate ions in the stream were lower than those in other streams, but chloride ion concentration was higher than that in other streams.

        공공기관 엔터프라이즈아키텍처 성숙도 측정을 통한 정책 시사점 연구

        정보화 발전과 함께 정보시스템의 투자규모가 확대됨에 따라 중복투자가 발생하고 시스템 간 연계가 복잡하게 되면서 이를 해결할 수 있는 수단이 필요하게 되었다. 이로 인해 엔터프라이즈아키텍처(EA) 도입 및 활용이 의무화 되었다. 더불어 EA의 지속적인 발전 및 고도화 방향 설정을 하기 위한 도구로 범정부 EA 통합 성숙도 모델 v2.0이 개발되었다. 공공기관 성숙도 측정 결과는 2006년 및 2007년 자료를 활용하였으며 2006년 자료는 개별기관의 EA 도입계획을 분석하였고 2007년은 EA 실태조사 및 성숙도 측정 결과를 분석하였다. 연구결과 공공기관 성숙도 수준은 전체 영역 평균 2.0 수준으로 관리영역은 2단계인 정의 수준, 수립 영역은 2단계인 기준수립 수준, 활용 영역은 1단계인 인식 수준이며 국내는 아직까지 EA 활용을 통한 성과를 얻기에는 아직 이른 시점으로 분석되었다. 본 연구는 국내 EA 성숙도 측정을 통한 정책시사점을 얻기 위한 연구로 이를 위해 선진국가의 EA 성숙도 모델 및 측정 제도를 연구하고 국내 EA 성숙도 측정 결과를 분석하였다. 그 결과 국내 EA 성숙도 측정 제도와 공공기관의 EA 현 수준의 문제점 및 개선방향 제시가 이 연구의 목적이다. The size of investment in information systems is magnified along with informatization development. Expenditures are frequently sourced from many different uncoordinated budgets, resulting in significant duplication, redundancy as well as conflict in the demand for resources. As a result of these problems, the introduction and management of Enterprise Architecture (hereinafter referred to as "EA") in organizations has been mandated by law in Korea. The data from 2006 and 2007 has been applied to the public agency maturity assessment results. The 2006 data was used in analyzing EA introduction plans of the individual agencies, and the 2007 data was used in maturity assessment results as well as the actual conditions of EA. Research results of the public agency maturity level showed an overall average level of 2.0: Level 2 (Definition Level) in the Management Area, Level 2 (Baseline Establishment Level) in the Establishment Area, and Level 1(Recognition Level) in the Use Area. The results reflect that achieving performance from EA use is still too early to calculate. The purpose of this study is to get the current political implications on EA via the assessment of domestic EA maturity. For this, we analyzed the domestic EA maturity assessment results and studied maturity models and EA assessment systems of other advanced countries. By using these results, the aim of this research is to recognize the problems and to suggest some directions for improvement of domestic EA maturity assessment systems and the current levels of public agency EA.

        응급의료센터의 단기입원치료실 활용경험

        Overcrowding of emergency department is a serious and growing problem at St. Mary's Hospital. This has motivated the development of short-stay unit(SSU) as an alternative ward to routine hospital admission and ED discharge. In our hospital a SSU begun to admit patients in January 6, 1997. The SSU received 247 patients from the ED during the eight month interval(January 6, 1997 to August 31, 1997). To examine the utilization of the SSU in ED, we retrospectively analyzed 247 patients admitted in SSU from the ED, and compared the average hours per patient with acute gastroenteritis spent in the ED during the 2-month intervals before(July-August 1996) and after(July-August 1997) the establishment of the SSU. The following results were obtained; 1. The total patients consist of EM 92(37.2%), GS 48(19.4%), IM 24(9.7%), PS 21(8.5%), OS 20(8.1%), OBGY 14(5.7%) and others 28(11.3%) 2. The results of EM patients admitted in SSU from ED 1) Sex ratio of male to female was 1:1.1 and the mean age was 37.3±16years 2) In diagnosis, acute gastroenteritis was 29 cases(31.5%), multiple contusion 14 cases(15.2%), drug intoxication 12 cases(13%), limb laceration 6 cases(6.5%), tendon rupture of hand 6 cases(6.5%), and others 19 cases(20.6). 3) Mean length of stay in ED was 9.18 hours. 4) Among 92 patients to the SSU, 79 patients(85.9%) were discharged, 11 patients(11.9%) formally admitted to hospital and 2 patients(2.2%) transferred to otherhospital. The mean hospital stay time of the patients admitted to SSU was 2.6 days. 3. There was a significant reduction in the average stay time spent in the ED by treat-and-releasing patients with acute gastroenteritis after the establishment of the SSU(from 14.65±9.6 to 7.52±5.4 hr/patient, p<0.001). Conclusively, the establishment of the SSU can shorten the average stay time that treat-and-releasing patients spend in the ED, and reduce the number of admitted patients waiting in the ED.

      • Canine Distemper Virus 검출을 위한 정량 Real-time PCR

        Canine distemper virus(CDV) infection causes a fatal systemic disease in wide range of carnivore species, including domestic dogs. It has been a highly contagious disease of veterinary importance for centurise. Recently many researches show that qualitative RT-PCR for the detection of CDV was sensitive and specific method for the early and safe antemortem diagnosis of distemper by using whole blood regardless of clinical sign and pathological finding. Recently, results were correlated to clinical findings, anti-CDV neutralizing antibody titers, postmortem findings, and demonstration of CDV NP(nucleoprotein) antigen by immunohistochemistry. We have studied a quantitative real-time PCR assay for CDV in order to improve and broaden the clinical usefulness of RT-PCR assay. Total 37 samples including 9 clinically positive and 29 randomly selected ones have investigated. CDV RNA was extracted from whole blood. The isolated RNA was reverse-transcripted into cDNA followed by PCR amplification. The assay based on real-time PCR using SYBR Green I dye as quantitative method with a LightCycler. Calibration curves covered 30-3×10^(8) copies of CDV were created using cloned 240bp CDV cDNA of viral RNA. CDV was detected all in 8 positive samples whereas 8 in 29 randomly collected ones. The detection ranges of clinical CDV specimens were various from 3×10² to 3×10⁴ copies. Comparision of real-time PCR to conventional PCR showed equal sensitivity and specificity. But real-time PCR method has a merit of quantification as well as more rapid results than those of common RT-PCR. CDV can be accurately detected and quantified in the whole blood from the dog infected with CDV. This quantitative technique may improve the clinical utility of RT-PCR for the detection of CDV.

        레이저 스페클간섭법에 있어서 스페클크기와 측정 한계에 관한 연구

        The high coherence of laser beam has made it possible to observe interference effects even in the light scattered from rough surfaces. That's why, when object with a scattering surface is illuminated with laser light, we do see a speckled appearance due to random interference. This sort of unique property of laser speckle has brought into existence the new noncontacting techniques such as speckle metrology method of measuring deformation, displacement, and vibration etc of objects with high optical sensitivity. The measurable range of speckle metrology especially used to measure in-plane information, however, is limited by some factors, the so-called strain, rotation, tilt of surface and out of displacement perpendicular to the plane of analysis. This restrictions severly limits the measurable range of speckle metrology by causing the decorrelation of speckle patterns. It is the purpose of this paper to give a survey on the measurable limitation of speckle photography method that is one of speckle metrology. Namely we will discuss the mutual relationships and problems of each limitations adding the restriction of the largest and smallest displacement measurable with speckle methods.

        응급센터에서 기관내 삽관을 시행하지 않은 호흡곤란 환자의 동맥혈 이산화탄소분압과 호기말 이산화탄소분압의 연관성분석

        Background: The end-tidal carbon dioxide tension(ETCO₂) is defined as a partial pressure of carbon dioxide at the end of an exhaled breath. The purpose of this study is to determine the correlation between ETCO₂and arterial carbon dioxide tension(PaO₂) in nonintubated patients with respiratory distress in emergency department(ED). Methods: A prospective non-blind study was performed in ED of our university hospitals. Participants included all nonintubated adult patients with respiratory distress requiring arterial blood gas analysis. ETCO₂was measured with a capnography monitor during tidal volume breathing. ETCO₂were recoreded at the time of arterial blood gas sampling. The correlation between ETCO₂and PaCO₂was analyzed in all patients and in subgroups by simple linear regression. Results: Sixty patients were enrolled. In all patients, ETCO₂was 5.72mmHg lower than PaCO₂and correlated well with PaCO₂(r²=0.716). ETCO₂correlated best with PaCO₂in patients who were either acidotic or non-smoking. Conclusion: ETCO₂correlate well with PaCO₂in nonintubated patients with respiratory distress in ED. ETCO₂may be sufficient to reflect PaCO₂in selected patients and obviate the need for repeat arterial blood gas determination.

        Staphylococcus lugdunensis에 의한 감염성 심내막염 1예

        Staphylococcus lugdunensis is a coagulase-negative staphylococcus (CNS) that is commonly found on the human perineal skin. Contrary to other CNS, S. lugdunensis is a rare contaminant in cultures and has the potential to cause clinically significant infections, including infective endocarditis. Infective endocarditis due to S. lugdunensis have been known to resemble endocarditis due to S. aureus because of its aggressive clinical course and high mortality. We report a case of infective endocarditis caused by S. lugdunensis in a 21-year-old woman. She was cured of the infection with surgical and antibiotic therapy. S. lugdunensis에 의한 감염성 심내막염은 국내에서보고가 없었던 매우 드물지만 다양한 합병증과 높은 사망률을 보이는 감염증이다. 저자들은 S. lugdunensis가 수술적 치료와 항생제 치료로 완치된 감염성 심내막염 1예를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.
