In content-base video data retrieval, the detection for scene change is needed. Color histogram approaches are generally used. Color histogram approaches are simple and more robust to object and camera movements but they ignore the spatial information and fail when two different frames have similar histograms. We propose a new algorithm to use color histogram and entropy to enhance the false-positive occurred by brightness variation and the miss by similar color histogram. At the experiments, it is more robust to brightness variation and have spatial information.
單크론 抗體를 利用한 結核菌 베타抗原의 精製와 結核性 髓膜炎의 診斷的 應用에 關한 硏究

5F3F2 hyridoma cells produce monoclonal antibody which is reactive with a single epitope on the molecule of beta antigen and shows a specificity restricted to Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex. Ascitic fluids were produced by an intraperitoneal injection of 5.0 x 10^6 hybridoma cells into Balb/c mice previously sensitized with pristane. The reactive pattern of ascitic fluid with reference beta antigen was analyzed by Western blot. Purification of 5F3F2 monoclonal antibody from ascitic fluid was performed by a single step method using hydroxylapatite chromatography. Beta antigen from the cell extract of Mycobacterium tuberculosis was purified by affinity chromatography with 5F3F2 monoclonal antibody and checked its molecular characterization by SDSPAGE. Finally, affinity purified beta antigen was applied for its potential diagnostic utility in dection of IgG antibody in the cerebrospinal fluids of 12 patients with tuberculous meningitis and 24 non-tuberculous patients by ELISA at the CSF dilution of 1 : 5. The results were summarized as follows: 1. Ascitic 5F3F2 monoclonal antibody was reacted with a major band of 83-kDa and a minor band of l l0-kDa molecule of reference beta antigen on Western blot. 2. 5F3F2 monoclonal antibody was purified directly from ascitic fluid by a single step purification of hydroxylapatite chromatography. 3. Affinity purified beta antigen showed two distinct bands of 83-kDa and 52-kDa molecules on SDS-PAGE. 4. The mean ELISA values of IgG antibody activities to affinity purified beta antigen in CSF of 12 patients with tuberculous meningitis and 24 controls were 0.866±0.607 and 0.058±0.040, respectively. The specificity and sensitivity were 96.5% and 93.1%. These results suggest that the major molecule of beta antigen is 83-kDa and the affinity purified beta antigen is useful for the diagnosis of tuberculous meningitis.

A simple but accurate model for the combustion efficiency of 4-stroke homogemeous charge spark ignition engines has been developed based upon thermochemical equilibrium arguments. This model assumes that the combustion efficiency is a function of only the fuel-air equivalence ratio for hydrocarbon fules with a hydrogen-to-carbon ratio similar to that of iso-octane. This model was shown to accurately predict experimental data for ranges of compression ratio, load, ignition timing, and speed typical of the normal engine design and operation. The model slightly overpredicts the data for high than typical engine speeds and is not applicable to engines operating near the partial burn, ignition, or lean misfire limits. An example of the potential usefulness of this model is also briefly discussed.

Because rule-based system supports a eminent inference and analysis power and relational DBMS manages efficiently large data supporting consistency and independency. In this paper, we compares and analyzes the three approach for the integration of rule system into DBMS. Also we design inference system for rule-based database system.
현미경을 이용한 디스크 제거술 후 추간판 변성 및 추간판 간격감소와 요통과의 관계 분석

Background and Objectives: The aim of this study was to examine the association of disc degeneration, disc space narrowing and postoperative low back pain in patients who underwent microscopic discectomy. Materials and Method: Sixty patients with lumbar disc herniation at L4-5 level who were treated by microscopic discectomy from February 2001 to November 2003 were investigated in this study. They were all male patients with an average age of 41.1 years old. The degrees of disc degeneration were measured through T2-weighted magnetic resonance image and divided into 4 groups. The disc heights were measured before and 1 year after the surgery using simple lateral X-ray. Then, we analyzed the relationship between disc degeneration, disc space narrowing and low back pain. Statistical analysis was performed with chi-square test. Results: Disc space narrowing 1 year after the surgery was severe in the Ⅳ and Ⅴ grade group whose lumbar disc degeneration was severe, and similarly, more severe postoperative back pain was reported in the Ⅳ and Ⅴ grade group (P<0.05). Conclusion: In patients who underwent microscopic discectomy as one level disc herniation, more lumbar disc degeneration showed disc space narrowing after surgery were significant, and more LBP was reported. Nevertheless, a long-term follow up is necessary.
EGR을 이용한 천연가스차량(NGV)의 배출물 저감에 관한 연구

CNG(compressed natural gas) is becoming the alternative fuel that appears to offer the most promise of success. NGVs are available as bifuel conversions and uses a high compression ratio to take advantage of the very high octane rating of CNG. The goal of this study was to develop a natural gas conversion technique that has superior performances in comparison to the gasoline version of this vehicle while producing low emission. But the difficulty is the emission control, especially for NOx. The solution to this problem is to use a high rate of EGR to control the peak temperature and a three-way catalyst for additional control of the emitted pollutants. This EGR system can be applied to any NGV that has been designed to control exact air/fuel ratio and adequate EGR rate.
무선 네트워크 환경에서 멀티미디어 트래픽을 위한 향상된 대역폭 예약 기법

무선 네트워크 환경에서 대규모 멀티미디어 트래픽을 위한 서비스 품질의 향상을 위해서는 핸드오프 시 발생하는 연결 중단 확률을 최소화하는 것이 중요한 관건이다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는, 이동호스트의 이동성을 예측하여 이동 가능성이 높은 셀의 주파수 대역을 예약하는 방안을 제시한다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 향상된 대역폭 예약 기법에서는 한 셀 내의 호스트를 지역성 호스트와 이동성 호스트로 분류한다. 이에 따라 이동성 호스트로 구분될 경우에만 이동할 셀의 주파수 대역을 예약함으로써 불 필요한 대역폭 예약을 막을 수 있기 때문에 주파수 대역의 효율적인 관리가 가능하다.
