        인라인 스케이트 T300m 출발동작 분석

This study is to present more effective starting skills through analysis of kinematic characteristics of starting motions in 300m Time Trials of Inline Skating. To achieve this goal, 6 athletes, 3 in the national team and 3 in business teams were chosen and their starting motions were examined with three-dimensional image analyses. The results of analyses in regard of positions and speed of the bodily center and angles, angular velocity, and linear velocity of articulations of lower limbs by sections of starting motions are as follows; In case of the central position, though it is effective to reduce the air resistance by lowering the upper part of the body maximumly, it is reasonable to accelerate by raising the upper part of the body to some degree for the running posture at the lower speed in the starting section. In the starting section, it is efficient to minimize the period of time in touching the ground. For this, it is necessary to train for taking motions without slippage while touching the ground. While 3 athletes in business teams kicked the ground as running right after the starting, the others in the national team slid on the ground. As the number of steps increased, the movable speed changed quickly. Thus he movable speed of athletes in the national team indicated big differences in two to three steps. If these factors are well supported, the push-away starting method might be better than the running starting method in terms of improvement of records.

At the lower speed in the starting section, since the push-off motions are made with the front part of skates at a point, not while gliding, the angle in the articulations of lower limbs is bigger. This shows that the faster changes from the running posture to the gliding skills is made, the more effective motions can be made. 2) At the moment of starting, acceleration by reducing the angles of knees to increase safety on the ground is reasonable, but wheels should touch more with the ground to minimize the impact and friction of skates. In the starting section, it is efficient to minimize the period of time in touching the ground. For this, it is necessary to train for taking motions without slippage while touching the ground. 3) While 3 athletes in business teams kicked the ground as running right after the starting, the others in the national team slid on the ground.         GH_3 세포(rat somatomammotropic tumor cell)에서 TRH가 Phospholipase D 활성에 미치는 효과

        연구배경: GH_3 세포는 TRH에 반응하여 세포막의 수용체와 G 단백, PI-PLC, PKC를 활성시켜 성장호르몬 및 프로락틴을 분비한다고 알려져 있다. PLD는 phosphatidylcholine을 phosphatidic acid(PA)와 choline으로 가수분해하는 효소로서 세포의 증식과 호르몬 분비에 관여한다. 본 연구는 GH_3 세포에서 아직 알려지지 않은 TRH의 PLD 활성에 대한 영향을 규명하고자 하였다. 방법: GH_3 세포를 1.5×10^6씩 분주하고 [^3H] myristate로 표지한 다음에 0.3% 알코올로 전 처치하였다. TRH 등의 시험제를 처치한 후에 메탄올로 반응을 종결하고 세포에서 총 지질을 추출하였다. PLD 활성은 박층크로마토그래피를 이용하여 총 [^3H] phospholipid에서 [^3H] phosphatidylethanol의 비율로 구하였다. 결과: TRH (1μM)의 처치 시에 PLC 활성은 44배 증가하였다. PLD 활성은 TRH (1μM), mastoparan (5μM), PMA(500nM)를 30분간 처치 시에 각각 1.9, 1.5, 2.2배 증가하였다. TRH(1μM)의 시간에 따른 PLD 활성 변동은 15, 30, 60, 120, 240분에 각각 142%, 170%, 172%, 160%, 115%의 증가를 보였다. 결론: GH_3 세포에서 TRH의 호르몬 분비와 세포증식의 신호전달 기전으로서는 PLC 활성뿐 아니라 PLD의 활성도 관여함을 시사한다. Backgroud: GH_3 cells are a well characterized and widely used model used for the in vitro study of growth hormone (GH) secretion. Thyrotropin releasing hormone (TRH) binds to receptors belonging to the family of G protein-coupled receptors, and secrets both GH & prolactin. Phospholipase D (PLD) is and enzyme that hydrolyses phosphatidylcholine to yield phosphatidic acid and choline, and plays important roles in cellular proliferation and hormonal secretion. To elucidate the pathway of the action of TRH in GH_3 cells, we investigated the activities of PLC and PLD in GH_3 cells treated with TRH or phorbor 12-myristate 13-acetate (PMA). Methos : GH_3 cells were labeled with [^3H] myristate, followed by incubation of with 0.3% ethanol, prior to before the addition of the agonists. The total lipids were extracted from the harvested cells following treatment with the agonists. The PLD activity was assessed by measuring [^3H] phosphatidylethanol from the [^3H] phospholipid using thin layer chromatography. Results : TRH (1μM) stimulated the PLD activity by 44-fold over that of the control values. TRH (1μM), mastoparan (5μM), and PMA (500μM) for 30 minutes increased PLD activity by 1.9, 1.5 and 2.2 fold, respectively, in comparison to the controls, The PLD activities after 15, 30, 60, 120 and 240 min treatments of TRH (1μM) were 142%, 170%, 172%, 160% and 115%, respectively. Conclusion : These results suggest that TRH stimulates not only PLC activity, but also the PLD activity in GH_3 cells (J Kor Soc Endocrinol 17:465∼472, 2002).

        Possibility of Decreasing Incidence of Human Immunodeficiency Virus Infection in Korea

        Background: The number of newly diagnosed cases of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection in Korea, which had increased until 2019, has markedly decreased since the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic started. This study evaluated whether the decrease is due to a reduction in the incidence of HIV infection and/or delayed diagnosis during the pandemic. Materials and Methods: We reviewed the medical records of 587 newly diagnosed patients with HIV infection between February 2018 and January 2022 from four general hospitals, and their characteristics were compared between the prepandemic and pandemic periods. The lapse time from infection to diagnosis was estimated using an HIV modeling tool. Results: The estimated mean times to diagnosis were 5.68 years (95% confidence interval [CI]: 4.45 - 6.51 years) and 5.41 years (95% CI: 4.09 - 7.03 years) before and during the pandemic, respectively (P = 0.016). The proportion of patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome-defining illnesses, expected to visit hospitals regardless of the pandemic, decreased from 17.2% before the pandemic to 11.9% during the pandemic (P = 0.086). Conclusion: The decrease in the number of newly diagnosed cases of HIV infection in Korea might have resulted from an actual decrease in the incidence of HIV infection rather than a worsening of underdiagnosis or delayed diagnosis.

        Effect of optimal sodium stearoyl-2-lactylate supplementation on growth performance and blood and carcass characteristics in Hanwoo steers during the early fattening period

        Objective: This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of different levels of total digestible nutrients (TDN) and sodium stearoyl-2-lactylate (SSL) supplementation on growth performance and blood and carcass characteristics in Hanwoo steers during the early fattening period. Methods: Sixty Hanwoo steers (average body weight, $333{\pm}36.4kg$) were randomly allotted to 3 treatments, with twenty steers per treatment, and ten steers per pen with a size of $80m^2$. Dietary treatments were as follows: CON, basal diet; treatment (TRT) 0.5, 0.5% down-spec of TDN with 0.1% SSL; TRT 1.0, 1.0% down-spec of TDN with 0.1% SSL. Results: The results demonstrated that average daily gain and feed efficiency increased with TRT 0.5 (0.85 kg and 11.68) vs CON (0.82 kg and 11.27) or TRT 1.0 (0.78 kg and 10.74), indicating that 0.1% SSL supplementation in the feed of early fattening steers may result in a saving of 0.5% TDN. No significant differences were observed amongst all treatments (p>0.05) for blood metabolite concentration and blood corpuscle values, which were all within the normally accepted range for healthy steers. Conclusion: Our study suggests that a TDN 0.5% down spec with 0.1% SSL supplemented feed may be effective and profitable for the early fattening period of Hanwoo steers without causing adverse effects.

      • Trends in Robotic Surgery in Korean Gynecology

        Objective: The objective of this study is to discover the trends of robotic surgery in gynecology since the introduction of robotic surgery platforms in Korea. Methods: : Data for the use of robotic surgery in gynecologic diseases were collected from the 14 hospitals that perform most of the robotic gynecologic surgeries in Korea. Records of robotic surgeries from between 2006 and 2019 were selected (n = 12,405), and data including diagnoses, approach methods, and names of surgical procedures were obtained. Statistical analysis was performed, including a trend test. Results: Overall, robotic surgery in gynecology showed an increasing trend (p < 0.001). The common cases in which robotic surgery was used for benign diseases were uterine leiomyoma, adnexal tumors, and adenomyosis, which accounted for 68%, 17%, and 9% of benign cases, respectively. Common malignant diseases were cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, and ovarian cancer, accounting for 55%, 35%, and 5% of malignant cases, respectively. This increasing trend was significantly evident in uterine leiomyoma, both single-site and multiport approaches. Conclusion: Since robotic surgical platforms were introduced in Korea, the number of gynecologic robotic surgeries has grown rapidly. Considering these data, the use of robotic surgery is expected to grow continuously for both benign and malignant gynecological diseases. A large amount of minimal invasive surgeries are expected to be replaced with robotic surgeries.
