Wang Jiaqi,Liu Yingman,Wang Weiru,Ma Jiaojiao,Zhang Manman,Lu Xiaoying,Liu Jie,Kou Yurong 한국미생물학회 2022 The journal of microbiology Vol.60 No.4
Periodontitis refers to a wide range of the inflammatory conditions of supporting dental structures. For some patients with periodontitis, antibacterial agents are needed as an adjuvant to mechanical debridement treatments and oral hygiene maintenance. However, the widespread use of broad-spectrum antibiotics for the prophylaxis and treatment of periodontal infections results in the emergence of resistant pathogens. Therefore, probiotics have become markedly interesting to researchers as a potentially safe alternative to periodontal treatment and maintenance. Probiotics have been used in medicine for decades and extensively applied to the treatment of inflammatory diseases through the modulation of microbial synergy and other mechanisms. A growing amount of evidence has shown that using Lactobacillus strains for oral cavity maintenance could improve periodontal health. In this study, we reviewed studies showing proof of the inhibitory effects of Lactobacillus species on periodontal inflammation. We also explored the rationale and potential for using Lactobacillus species in the management of periodontitis.

Objective: To compare 5-year disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS) rates oflaparoscopic radical hysterectomy (LRH) and abdominal radical hysterectomy (ARH) forstage IB1 and tumor size <2 cm with visible or invisible tumors. Methods: We retrospectively compared the oncological outcomes of 1,484 cervical cancerpatients with IB1 and tumor size <2 cm on final pathology, who received ARH (n=899) or LRH(n=585) between January 2004 and December 2016. Patients were divided into visible tumorsubgroup (ARH: n=668, LRH: n=444) and invisible tumor subgroup (ARH: n=231, LRH:n=141) according to tumor type. Results: LRH and ARH showed similar 5-year DFS and OS rates (93.3% vs. 93.1%, p=0.997;96.2% vs. 97.5%, p=0.351) in total study population. LRH was not associated with worse5-year DFS rate (hazard ratio [HR]=0.96; 95% confidence interval [CI]=0.58–1.58; p=0.871)or OS rate (HR=1.37; 95% CI=0.65–2.89; p=0.409) by multivariable analysis. In the visibletumor subgroups, LRH and ARH showed similar 5-year DFS and OS rates (91.9% vs. 91.9%,p=0.933; 95.0% vs. 96.9%, p=0.276), and LRH was not associated with worse 5-year DFS orOS rate (p=0.804, p=0.324). In the invisible tumor subgroups, LRH and ARH also showedsimilar 5-year DFS and OS rates (97.3% vs. 97.1%, p=0.815; 100% vs. 99.5%, p=0.449), andLRH was not associated with worse 5-year DFS rate (p=0.723). Conclusions: Among patients with stage IB1 and tumor size <2 cm, whether the tumor isvisible or not, the oncological outcomes of LRH and ARH among cervical cancer patients arecomparable. This suggests that LRH may be suitable for stage IB1 and tumor size <2 cm withvisible or invisible tumors.Trial Registration: International Clinical Trials Registry Platform Identifier: CHiCTR180017778

In 2019, the European Commission published its Strategic Outlook, which described China as a partner, economic competitor and systemic rival (European Commission, 2019). As Europe struggles with the survival crisis caused by the COVID- 19 epidemic, the complexity of its relationship with China is fully revealed. The year 2020 marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the European Union, which was originally an important year for China-EU relations. Sudden epidemics disrupted the established diplomatic schedules of China and the EU, and many political, economic, trade and cultural cooperation agendas were temporarily postponed. At the same time, the original differences between the two sides are becoming more and more complicated with different understandings and responses to the epidemic situation. The epidemic poses a challenge to both sides’ ability to respond to public health emergencies, and at the same time, it also poses a major test to the political mutual trust between the two sides. How to promote the healthy development of China-EU relations has become a topic for scholars to think about. France is an important driving force for European integration and plays an important role in European affairs. France’s perception of China-EU relations influences the attitude towards the interaction between China and Europe, and think tank is an important way to understand a country’s policies. Therefore, we can learn about France’s interpretation of China-EU relations through the relevant reports of the French Institute of International Relations, the most famous think tank in France, and the strategic interests of Europe in France’s eyes will help us to promote the development of China-EU relations.

The design of catalysts with excellent catalytic activity plays an important role in the field of solid-statehydrogen storage of new energy sources. Herein, a novel hydrangea-like NiO@NiMoO4 composite catalystwas prepared through a facile hydrothermal reaction. Subsequently, NiO@NiMoO4 was doped into MgH2by ball milling to solve the problems of high dehydrogenation temperature and slow desorption kineticsof MgH2. It can be seen from the experimental results that the MgH2 + 10 wt% NiO@NiMoO4 compositestarts to dehydrogenate at about 190 C, which is about 170 C lower than that of pure MgH2. Meanwhile, after complete dehydrogenation, the composites can start to absorb hydrogen below 40 C. Comparedwith pure MgH2, the activation energy of hydrogen absorption and dehydrogenation of the compositedecreased by 47.6 kJ/mol and 46.5 kJ/mol, respectively. In 10th cycle tests, the MgH2 + 10 wt%NiO@NiMoO4 composite still has good cycle stability. After adding a small amount of biomass charcoal, the hydrogen storage capacity can even be maintained above 97%. Furthermore, the characterizationresults show that the in situ generated new species Mo and Mg2Ni/Mg2NiH4 synergistically promotethe adsorption and dissociation of hydrogen. This new synergistic mechanism provides new comprehensiveinsights for improving reversible hydrogen storage in MgH2.

Schisantherin A (SCA) was evaluated for possible function in restoring the learning and memory impairment induced by D-galactose in mice. ICR mice were treated with D-galactose subcutaneously (220 mg·kg−1), and followed by SCA in different doses (1.25, 2.50 and 5.00 mg·kg−1, administered orally) for 42 days. Effects of SCA on learning and memory were examined by step-through tests and Morris water maze tests. The activity of superoxide dismutase (SOD), the content of malondialdehyde (MDA) in the peripheral blood and hippocampus of mice were assayed by water-soluble tetrazolium-1 (WST-1) and thiobarbituric acid (TBA) methods. The contents of 8 hydroxy deoxy guanosine (8-OHdG) in the hippocampus of mice were detected by immunosorbent assay methods, respectively. Quantitative real-time PCR and Western Blot were respectively used to detect the expression of p19, p53, p21, cyclin D1, CDK4 and RB genes, and the phosphorylation of RB in the hippocampus of mice. We found that SCA significantly improved the learning and memory impairment induced by D-galactose in mice. After SCA treatment, SOD activity was increased and the content of MDA was decreased in both peripheral blood and hippocampus of mice. 8-OHDG content was also decreased in the hippocampus of mice. Furthermore, the expression of p19, p53 and p21 genes was reduced and the expression of cyclin D1 and CDK4 and the phosphorylation of RB protein were elevated in the hippocampus. SCA may improve the learning and memory impairment induced by D-galactose by enhancing the antioxidant capacity, and regulating the expression of p19/p53/p21/cyclinD1/CDK4 genes, and the phosphorylation of RB protein in the hippocampus of mice.

In this study, we demonstrated a one-pot synthesis of Cu nanoplates (Cu NPs) with high purity and ‘‘cleansurface”. Different from surfactant-assisted method, we tailored the architecture by controlling the ripeningtime of Cu seeds. Citrate is introduced as a structure-directing agent. Since the ‘‘clean surface” providemore available active sites, the as-prepared Cu NPs show a superior performance when utilized in thenon-enzymatic biosensors. In the detection of nitrite, the sensor constructed by Cu NPs exhibited a superiorsensitivity (303.1 ± 10.18 mAmM1cm2), and the detection range is 5.0 mM. On the contrary, sensitivityfor the Cu NPs by surfactant-assisted method is negligible. As applied in the glucose sensors, detection range by Cu NPs could reach 36.0 mM. And the sensitivity under ambient condition (298 K)is 561.93 ± 3.72 mAmM1cm2, which is ca. 2.11-folds higher than that for Cu NPs by surfactantassistedmethod. In the detection of H2O2, detection range is 10.0 mM, and the enhancement factor fordetection range is up to 2.0-folds. The superior performance can also be extended to the catalysis forthe reduction of 4-nitro-phenol. Since no additional noble metals was applied, this strategy would openup a new avenue for utilizing non-noble metals.
Sharing and Privacy in PHRs: Efficient Policy Hiding and Update Attribute-based Encryption
( Zhenhua Liu ),( Jiaqi Ji ),( Fangfang Yin ),( Baocang Wang ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2021 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.15 No.1
Personal health records (PHRs) is an electronic medical system that enables patients to acquire, manage and share their health data. Nevertheless, data confidentiality and user privacy in PHRs have not been handled completely. As a fine-grained access control over health data, ciphertext-policy attribute-based encryption (CP-ABE) has an ability to guarantee data confidentiality. However, existing CP-ABE solutions for PHRs are facing some new challenges in access control, such as policy privacy disclosure and dynamic policy update. In terms of addressing these problems, we propose a privacy protection and dynamic share system (PPADS) based on CP-ABE for PHRs, which supports full policy hiding and flexible access control. In the system, attribute information of access policy is fully hidden by attribute bloom filter. Moreover, data user produces a transforming key for the PHRs Cloud to change access policy dynamically. Furthermore, relied on security analysis, PPADS is selectively secure under standard model. Finally, the performance comparisons and simulation results demonstrate that PPADS is suitable for PHRs.
