        Spectroscopic Determination of the Species Fractions and the Power Profiles of the Diagnostic Neutral Beam on the HT-7 Tokamak

        A diagnostic neutral beam (DNB) has been installed on the HT-7 tokamak for the measurement of charge exchange recombination spectroscopy (CXRS). The H_α-light Doppler shift spectroscopy from the drifted duct is measured to determine the components of the neutral beam. The fractions of neutral beam species are investigated under a wide range of arc voltages and extraction high voltages of the beam aimed to the optimized species fractions for the CXRS applications. A magnet ring is used to improve the magnetic property of the ion source. The result shows that the full-energy component fractions increase from 19 to 25 percent with optimization of the beam operation, but with a dramatic increase of the water component. There are nine optical fiber channels observing one section of the beam simultaneously for this spectroscopy, which provides information of the power profiles of the beam. The full width at half maximum (FWHM) of the beam profile is 8 cm, as measured by using the spectroscopy.

        End Plate–Stiff ener Connection for SHS Column and RHS Beam in Steel-Framed Building Modules

        This paper investigates the mechanical performance of beam-to-column connections for steel-framed building modules with RHS and SHS sections of relatively small member sizes. In the experimental program, three forms of connections are tested under static bending, including a completely welded connection (W), a bolted end plate connection (EP) and the proposed end plate–stiff ener connection (ST), and the failure modes, moment–rotation behaviours and strain responses were recorded during experiments. Results show that ST connection exhibited superior connection strength, stiff ness and ductility compared with the EP connection. In addition, a detailed fi nite element analysis was conducted to model the connection behaviours, considering bolt pretension, contact behaviours and detailed bolt geometry, showing good comparison with experiments. Furthermore, a parametric study was performed on the end plate thickness and stiff ener thickness for the proposed end plate–stiff ener connection. Such results fi nally enable a comparative study to investigate the performance of module during road transportation, highlighting the eff ects of connection stiff ness.

        Rock-breaking analysis model of new drill bit with tornado-like bottomhole model

        For improving the rock-breaking efficiency of oil and gas drill bits, a new drill bit is presented with tornado-like bottomhole model(named swirling cutting bit). The new drill bit cutter breaks rock with shocking and cutting effect during the drilling process, and theelements on largest ring cross the borehole center with high speed. It can effectively improve the center rock-breaking efficiency. Meanwhile,for all cutters on different rings breaking rock at the same time, it can optimize the rock-breaking volume of each element andimprove the bit service life. To analyze the interaction features between cutters and rock, the position equations are established by thecylindrical coordinates and complex movement principles, and then the velocity and acceleration equations can be obtained. Based on thenumerical example results, this paper analyzes the bottomhole model, the contact section, and the distribution features of velocities andaccelerations on different rings. By analyzing the acceleration results, we can study the failure mechanism of cutters. At the same time,lab experiments test the bottomhole model and rock-breaking features, and it verifies the accuracy of calculation method and equations. Moreover, the analysis method and models are also applicable to other types of bits or composite bits, and the inputting parameters needcorresponding adjustment for different type of bits.

        <P>A pilot single-channel Motional Stark Effect (MSE) diagnostic has been developed on EAST since 2015. The dual photo-elastic modulators (PEM) were employed to encode the polarization angle into a time-varying signal. The pitch angle was related to the ratio of modulation amplitude at the second harmonic frequency. A digital harmonic analyzer (DHA) technique was developed for extracting the second harmonic amplitude. The results were validated with a hardware phase lock-in amplifier, and is also consistent with the software dual phase-locking algorithm.</P>

        Localization of QTLs for Husk Proportion and Lignin Content Using a High-Density Genetic Linkage Map of Brassica napus

        Husk proportion (HP) and lignin content (LC) are two important traits of seed quality of B. napus. Efficient selection of these two traits is an important way to improve the seed quality in meal improvement. A set of recombinant inbred lines (RILs) of B. napus (GH06 × Zhongyou 821) was used for mapping QTLs of HP and LC in a two-year study in different environments. 509 markers (78 SSR markers, 66 RAPD markers and 365 SRAP markers) were mapped on 26 linkage groups with an average length of 73.96 cM. The map covered a total of 1923 cM, and the average distance between two adjacent markers was 3.78 cM. Analysis of variance of LC and HP indicated that. LC might not be significantly affected by environment (F = 2.96 < 3.02) and HP might be affected by genotype × environment interactions. A total of 15 significant QTLs were detected in eight linkage groups with a LOD threshold value of 2.5 (LR ≥ 11.5) by CIM, explaining 4.99-16.14% of phenotype variation. Some QTLs of LC and HP were detected in near regions of the same linkage groups, such as qLCBB05-6-1 and qLCWZ06-6-1, qLCBB05-10-2 and qLCBB06-10-1 and qLCWZ06-10-2, qHPBB05-9-3 and qHPBB06-9-1, qHPBB05-10-4 and qHPBB06-10-2 and qHPBB06-10-3 and qHPWZ06-10-1. This study indicates that the repeatedly detected QTLs of LC and HP might be major-effect QTLs of LC and HP.

        한국어 합성어에서의 경음화 습득 양상 연구 -중국인 학습자를 중심으로-

        본 연구는 중국인 학습자를 대상으로 한국어의 합성어에서 나타나는 경음화의 실현 양상을 살펴보고, 이를 바탕으로 효과적인 발음 교육 방안을 논의하는 데 목적이 있다. 합성어에서의 경음화는 일반적인 장애음 뒤 경음화와 공명음 뒤경음화와는 달리 매우 불규칙적이다. 때문에 외국인 학습자들이 합성어에서의 경음화를 학습하는 데에 어려움이 있다. 합성어에서의 경음화 현상은 비음운론적 정보가 필요한데, 먼저 특정 형태소에서 실현되는 경음화와 의미 관계에 따라 실현되는 경음화로 나눌 수 있다. 특정 형태소에서 실현되는 경음화는 사이시옷을 항상 동반하는 ㅅ-전치형 형태소와 ㅅ-후치형 형태소가 있다. 의미 관계에 따른 경음화는 합성어의 앞 요소가 뒤 요소의 ‘시간, 장소, 용도, 기원이나 소유주’ 등으로 구분할 수 있다. 그러므로 합성어에서의 경음화를 외국인 학습자들에게 교수할 때는 비음운론적인 정보를 효과적으로 이용할 필요가 있다. 이를 위해 본고는 중국 현지에서 한국어를 학습하고 있는 학생을 대상으로 합성어에서의 경음화의 실현 양상을 살펴보았다. 먼저, 교재 분석과 선행 연구를 바탕으로 조사 목록 83개를 선정하였다. 추출된 어휘 목록을 대상으로 초·중·고급 중국인 한국어 학습자 34명을 대상으로 발음 조사를 실시하였다. 조사 결과, 합성어에서의 경음화 실현율은 59%에 불과했다. 다만 고급 단계의 학습자는 상대적으로 실현율이 높았다. 아울러, 경음화를 과도하게 적용하는 경우도 높은 비율로 나타났는데, 이는 ‘유추’에 따른 오류로 판단된다. 이에 따라 합성어에서의 경음화에 대해 두 가지로 나누어 학습 방안을 제시하였다. 특정한 형태소에서 나타나는 경음화는 청각 구두 교수법에 따라 수업을 진행하고, 의미 관계에 의한 합성어 경음화는 두 구성 요소의 의미 관계를 중국어와 대조하면서 그 특성과 유사점을 살리며 학습 방법을 제시하였다. This study examines the realization of phonograms in Korean compound words and discusses effective pronunciation education methods for Chinese learners. Unlike the fortis behind obstruent or sonorant, the phonological fluctuation principles and pronunciation rules of compound phonation are complicated and irregular, based on various realization environments, thus making it difficult for foreign learners to learn Korean. Korean phenomena are divided into five types and the characteristics of the phenomena in Korean compound words are examined. The phenomena in compound words require non-phonological information, which can be divided into fortis realized in specific morphemes and fortis realized according to semantic relations. There are two types of fortis that are realized in certain morphemes: the S-prepositional morphology and the S-postpositional morphology, which are always accompanied by saisiot. In phonation based on the semantic relationship, the front element of the compound word can be categorized into time, place, use, origin, or owner of the back element. Therefore, it can be said that non-phonological information is required when teaching phonology in compound words to foreign learners. In addition, this study examined the realization of phonation in compound words for students studying Korean in China. For this purpose, 83 survey lists were selected based on textbook analysis and literature review. A survey regarding pronunciation was conducted on 34 Korean learners in elementary, middle, and high grades. The study results show that the realization rate of the fortis in the compound word was only 59%, and many errors were noted. However, the higher-level learners had a relatively high rate of realization. Furthermore, excessive application of fortis was noted to be a high rate. In these errors, words with high independence showed high errors. Therefore, two types of phonation in compound words are presented in a specific morpheme. Synthetic verbalization by semantic relations led to the suggestion of a learning method by comparing the semantic relations of the two components with the Chinese language and utilizing its characteristics and similarities.
