        비만 개선 효과를 지닌 탄수화물 및 지방 흡수 억제 기능성 식이조성물 개발

        In a previous study, we developed a new food additive as an egg yolk antibody (IgY) against carbohydrate digestion enzymes for the regulation of blood glucose level and weight control. The IgY delayed and decreased the increment of blood glucose level after administration of sucrose in human being by 30% in 20∼30 min. We also developed a lipase inhibitor as a water extract of two kinds of herb, Platycodon grandiflorum and Solanum melongena. Twenty three volunteers were subjected to the intake of the egg yolk IgY plus the herbal extracts for 50 days. In average, the treated subjects appeared to lose 1.96 ㎏ of body weight and 3.4 ㎏ of body fat mass during the treated period. Furthermore, Panniculus adiposus and breech size were significantly decreased during the experimental period. Above results suggested that the administration of the dietary additives composed of egg yolk IgY and natural herbal extract improve the obesity by the decrement of body weight and body fat mass.

      • 3'-Methyl-4-dimethylaminoazobenzene이 백서의 정상 및 재생간의 EGF Receptor 변동에 미치는 영향

        To study the changes of EGF receptors in the rat liver regeneration and hepatic carcinogenesis, ^125I-EGF binding sites were measured in the regenerated liver cell membrane after partial hepatectomy of normal rat and 3-methyl-4-dimethylaminoazobenzene treated rat. 1. EGF binding sites (Bmax) in the normal rat liver cell membrane were 553.8fmole/mg protein and were markedly decreased at the 1st day after partial hepatectomy. These sites were increased at the 3rd day(Bmax-161.0fmole/mg protein) and were 29% of the normal liver EGF binding sites. 2. EGF binding sites (Bmax) in the normal cell membrane of the 3-methyl-4-dimethylaminoazobenzene-treated rat, were 72.8fmole/mg protein and were significantly less than those in the normal rat live cell membrane. At the 1st day after partial hepatectomy, EGF binding sites were markedly decreased and increased at the 3rd day (Bmax=155.8fmole/mg protein). 3. Kd values in EGF receptor binding were not much altered in both liver cell membranes of the normal rat and the 3-methyl-4-dimethylaminoazobenzene treated rat. From these result, it is suggested that decreased EGF binding sites in the liver cell membrane of regenerating rat liver and 3-methyl-4-dimethylaminoazobenzene treated rat may be due to the alteration of EGF receptor number.

      • SI 엔진에서 Fractal Geometry를 이용한 난류 연소 모델

        Use of fractal geometry to model the effects of turbulence on flame propagation in an engine is explored using a quasidimensional, 4-stroke, homogeneous charge, SI engine code. Various assumptions are made in the model formulation to allow this technique to be investigated as expeditiously as possible. Model predictions are compared to experimental data from an engine with an axisymmetric pancake-shaped combustion chamber. The sensitivity of the model predictions to the fractal dimension, to the effects of flame stretch, and to the ratio of maximum-to-minimum flame wrinkling scales is invested. It is shown that the predicted initial rate of pressure rise is a strong function of fractal dimension but is relatively insensitive to the flame wrinkling scales or the effects of stretch over the ranges of these parameters expected for the engine application. This model and a modification of this model appear to be reasonable and yield values for the fractal dimension which agree with the limited experimental engine data avaliable. It is shown that flame stretch is dominated by flame strain and decrease throughout the combustion process. By allowing the maximun flame wrinkling scale to be equal to the instantaneous flame radius, the correct trend of the turbulent flame speed is predicted. The model results that the use of fractals to model turbulent combustion is an important new tool for engineering design.

      • 냉각수 유동 형태 개선에 따른 엔진 성능향상에 관한 연구

        The ideal cooling system of engine and the effect followed of it contribute greatly to the engine performance. The change of engine performances depending on the improvement of engine cooling system is the main subject for this study and these experiments are carried out in the specific engine. which has same technical specifications by fitting the conventional cooling system and the split cooling system. respectively and get various experimental results like engine outputs. fuel consumption. engine cooling temperature. and surface temperature of metal. etc. Reformed split cooling system is transformed from the in-line type coolant flow. which is flowing via water jacket from the cylinder block to cylinder head into the parallel type coolant flow which is also flowing via water jacket but cylinder head & cylinder block separated and blocked each other. Through these experiments. it took effect on the improvement of engine performance by advancing the ignition timing due to the reduction of engine knocking as a result of the drop of temperature in cylinder head and also this brought various positive effects like the suppression of blow-by gas creation, improved thermal efficiency, and so on due to the reduction of piston friction loss as a result of the temperature rise of metal surface and the reduction of piston gaps as a result of the reduction of total heat capacity.

      • 생물계면활성제를 이용한 중금속 및 유기물 오염 토양의 정화

        A study on the soil remediation was performed by using a biosurfactant. The surfactant solutions were applied to the soil flushing of the artificially contaminated soil with copper ion, cadmium ion and phenol. The optimal concentration of the surfactant was determined by the lab.-scale column tests using the solutions of various concentrations. The characteristic behavior of the contaminant removal was studied and the efficiencies of the soil flushing were determined for the contaminants.

      • 안와 내벽 외향 골절의 내시경적 비내 재건술

        The orbital blowout fracture occurs when a convex object(usually a baseball and a fist) larger in diameter than orbital rim strikes the orbit, increasing intraorbital pressure and producing hydraulic forces in all directions, which explodes the bony margin. The most frequently site of fracture is the bony floor in the region of the infraorbital canal, less frequently medial orbital wall, that is, lamina papyracea. Medial orbital wall fractures are also seen with other types of facial fractures such as frontal, nasoethmoid, and maxillary injuries. With the advent of nasal endoscope, endoscopic intranasal reconstruction has substituted for external approach. We experienced a case of blowout fracture of left medial orbital wall, which was treated with endoscopic intranasal reconstruction method and report this case with the review of the literature.

      • Sol-Gel 법으로 제작한 (Pb_xBa_₁-_x)TiO₃박막의 특성에 관한 연구

        We tried to find optimal condition of (PbxBa1-x)TiO3(x=0.0, 0.2, 0.5, 0.8, 1.0) thin films produced by sol-gel spin coating. Barium acetate, Lead acetate trihydrate and Ti-isopropoxide are used as the coating sol for producing the thin film, and acetic acid, methanol, and distilled water are used as the solvent. It is found that the manufactured sol was at the most stable condition when the component content satisfied H2O/Ba=65, after observing the state transition for a specified period. We coated sol for coating on the various kinds of substrate and pre-annealed on 68℃ and 460℃. Then we annealed them on 700℃ for 30 minutes and found that they showed a good growth of crystal by the XRD measurement. We selected Pt as the bottom electrode, using the substrate Pt/SiO2/Si in order, we raised the different conditional thin films and obtained the capacitor by evaporating Al as the top electrode. We measured the electric capacitance and dielectric loss by changing the frequency for three step as 1, 10, 100kHz for each and calculated the dielectric constant. The dielectric constant of the thin film (PbxBa1-x)TiO3 was decreased below x=0.8 and increased upto x=1.0 as x increases.

      • RF 마그네트론 스퍼터링 방법에 의한 (Ba, Sr)TiO₃박막의 특성

        A sputtering target(BaxSr1-xTiO3) is obtained by changing the mol% of Ba and Sr. Pt is evaporated on the SiO2/Si substrate as a bottom electrode, and subsequently the BaxSr1-xTiO3 thin film is sputtered. Or, for obtaining the MIS structure Pt is not used, and directly thin film is sputtered on the Si substrate. Then, the capacitor structures(MIM, MIS) have been obtained by evaporating Al as a top electrode after post-annealing. Our results show that produced thin firm is found to have Perovskite structure according to the XRD measurement and shows better crystal growing phenomena on SiO2/Si substrate than those on Si substrate. And, the existence of polarization is recognized by the hysteresis loop. The capacitor(MIM) structure of BaxSr1-xTiO3 thin film shows that the dielectric constant is increased as the mol% of Ba and the post-annealing temperature increase. MIS structure shows a increase of capacitance with increasing the mol% of Ba.
