        민들레 잎과 뿌리 분말을 첨가한 설기떡의 품질 특성

        In order to develop a dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) with natural food applications, the effects of dandelion leaves and roots powder content on the physical, textural and sensory properties of sulggidduk were examined. Dandelion powders of leaves and roots at 0, 1, 2 and 3% were added to the dandelion sulgidduk. In the dandelion roots powder in sulgidduk, the color intensity of L values and the values and moisture content decreased however, the sensory color intensity, dandelion flavor and overall acceptability increased with increasing the dandelion powder content. The sensory overall acceptability indicated the dandelion roots powder content at 3% had the highest overall and flavor scores. As the dandelion leaves content was increased, the moisture contents, lightness, adhesiveness and cohesiveness of sulggidduk decreased, while the sensory color intensity, sensory hardness, hardness of texture properties and dandelion flavor increased. The addition at 1% of the dandelion leaves powder content with the dandelion sulggidduk and the addition at 3% of the dandelion roots powder content with the dandelion sulggidduk showed the highest overall acceptability.

        응급구조사 수습 과정에 대한 고찰

        We performed this study to evaluate the efficacy of Emergency Medical Technician Education in a designated Facility. This article is the statistical analysis of which the results were obtained from the first trial of Emergency Medical Technician Training program by EMS instructor at Emergency Department, Wallace Memorial Baptist hospital in Pusan from Jun 28 to July 10, 1993. The results were as follow : 1) On sexual distribution of students, male was 57.6% and female was 42.4%. On age distribution, between 30-39 year-old age was 64.7% average age was 33.5 year-old. 2) The geographic distribution of their address was 57.6% in Pusan, the remainders in Kyung-nam, Kyung-buk, and Che-ju in order. 3) The average bed size of the hospital in which they served was 375 beds. 4) The students working in Emergency Room was 42.4%, the other was 57.6%. 5) There were 53.3% students who have the license for nurse-aid and 46.7% registered nurses. 6) The period of students clinical experience was for 101.8 months (about 8 years) in average, and their career in emergency room was for 38.1 months(about 3 years). 7) In the lecture, 91.1% of the students answered that they were content with the lecture qualities or that it was sufficient to learn. In learning the skills, 73.5% of the students replied they were content with the quality to teach the skills or it was sufficient one. Especially male students as a nurse-aid had the better results for the acquisition of the skills than the female registred nurse. 8) 57.6% answered their lecture time was short, 42.1% was proper. Most students were satisfied with the time length of their curriculum, but 26.5% of the students wanted to have more than 12 weeks of education couse. Most of them replied the proper size of the class must be below 20 students per class. 9) They answered the lectural time per a learning item was plenty in 72.0% of the students, not in 28.0%, and skill acquisition time per a learning item was appropriate for 41.4% of the participants, not for 58.6%. They answered the education materials were plenty in 85.3% and not in 11.8%. 10) The written tests showed normal distribution curve through the 4th written test and the results of the final written examination was 98.5 points in average. 11) There was very high correlation(co-efficient : 0.6234) between the 3rd and 4th written test and relatively high correlation between the 3rd and final test and between 4th written test and the skill tests. 12) The female students got the higher points than the male in the written test, but no significant differences of the points in the skill testing according to the participants sex. 13) The registered nurses made the better points in the written test compared to the nurse-aids, but statistically there was no significant difference in the skill testing. To develop better education program for EMT the counterplans on the basis of above results can be established as belows. 1) It will be necessary to ensure professional people who aquired the sufficient training and experience for emergency treatment and to look for legal basis. 2) The sufficient training for EMT is wanted and both starting education and continuing education needs to be focused. 3) The education program for EMT has to be varied according to its charateristics of qualification. 4) the special education program for lecturer for EMT is needed. 5) Each Medical and Education organization should work on the entire education course achieve its standardization of time length, content, methods and level. 6) The positive attitude of government is needed to solve the problems which happen with the current system of Emergency Medicine. It will be necessary to stipulate the items relevant to Emergency Medicine in the law.

      • 천연 점토질 재료를 이용한 고실리카 제올라이트의 합성에 관한 연구

        본 논문에서는 천연 고령토로 고실리카 제오라이트인 ZSM-5를 합성하는 방법을 제안한다. 합성시, 알칼리 종으로 KOH를 첨가하였다. 또한, ZSM-5의 합성을 위해 회전반응을 수행하는 원통형 합성장치를 제작하였다. 이 장치는 회전속도 및 반응온도를 제어할 수 있도록 설계되었다. ZSM-5의 합성영역을 밝히기 위하여 SiO_2/Al_2O_3의 몰비와 K_2O/SiO_2를 조절하였다. 그 결과, 몰비에 대응하는 결정생성물의 영역 및 ZSM-5의 합성영역을 밝혔다. In this paper, a synthesis method of high silica zeolite (ZSM-5) using Koryung clay from Kyungnam Province is proposed. We select KOH as alkali seed. We fabricate the synthesis apparatus which attends rotative reaction. The synthesis apparatus controls rotation speed and reaction temperature. To reveal the synthesis range of ZSM-5, we adopt various mole ratio of SiO_2/Al_2O_3 and K_2O/SiO_2. As the results, synthesis range of ZSM-5 which corresponds to mole ratio is appeared.

        Background : In recent years, gonorrhea has been panedemic and remains one of the most commom STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. Objective & Methods: For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of PPNG, we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the VD Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by means of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. Results: In 1996, 139 strains of N. gonorrhoeae were isolated, among which 53(39.0%) were PPNG. Conclusion: Our results suggests that after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, the prevalence of PPNG in Seoul is gradually declining.

      • Anti-allergic Effect of Sword Bean Pod (Canavalia gladiata) in IgE-Sensitized RBL-2H3 Cells

        Recently, the incidence of allergic diseases such as asthma and rhinitis is increasing due to changes in living environments such as fine dust and pollen. As allergic diseases increase, the treatment of allergic diseases is also being constantly developed, but long-term use of drug is accompanied by side effects such as cataracts and skin rashes. Therefore, we are focusing on discovering treatments made from natural products that are safe for the body and maximize the effect. Sword Bean Pod(SBP; Canavalia gladiata), which was recently registered as a food ingredient, has been reported to be effective in improving inflammatory diseases, but there is still no scientific basis for its anti-allergic effect. Therefore, in this study, we investigated the anti-allergic effect of SBP. As a result, SBP were decreased the gene expression levels of pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines when the IgE-sensitized RBL-2H3 cells. Furthermore, by regulating the protein expression of cytokines and IgE receptor related factors, SBP was confirmed to be effective in anti-allergy. These findings may have a potential clinical implication in not only prevention but also treatment of allergic diseases.

      • Sword Bean Pods (Canavalia gladiata) Inhibit Adipogenesis in Mice with High Fat Diet-Induced Obesity

        Obesity is a chronic disorder that is a significant risk factor for diabetes, malignancy, and other chronic diseases. Obesity treatment methods include lifestyle modifications such as diet and exercise. However, it is not easy to change the lifestyle, so drug treatment and surgery are selected. In particular, drug treatment has been constantly developed to date, but the effect of the drug is insufficient or side effects are caused by long-term use. Therefore, we need to focus on the development of anti-obesity drugs based on natural food materials. As such, we propose that natural food materials for safe and effective obesity treatment should be discovered and developed. Thus, we evaluated the anti-obesity effect using the sword bean pods(SBP; Canavalia gladiata) that were recently registered as food materials and lack scientific research on various physiological activities. As a result, SBP confirmed the anti-obesity effect by reducing production of obesity major factor. These results suggest that SBP is a material with potential effects on anti-obesity, and it is expected that it can be developed as a functional material for health functional food in the future.

      • Comparison of Characteristics of Aster yomena Under Harvesting and Cultivation Control

        Aster yomena (AY) is a functional material registered as a health functional food in 2019 and is effective in alleviating allergic rhinitis through attenuation of hypersensitivity immunity. For the functional materials to provide certain effect, standardization of materials has to precede. In addition, a mass production system must also be developed for the materials to be supplied smoothly. Therefore, this study was performed to establish the production system of AY. To establish a production system, we collected samples according to cultivation and harvesting methods. As a result, as the cultivation period increased, the stem of AY became lignification and the size of the leaf became smaller. In addition, it was confirmed that the extraction yield decreased as the cultivation period increased. On the other hand, no difference in raw materials was observed according to harvest period and cultivation method. In conclusion, the proper cultivation period was selected as the characteristics and extraction yield of AY were changed according to the cultivation period.
