        Some methods of appling to a control system and basic concept about the neural networks are presented, and some methods of training neural networks and back propagation algorithm, which updates weight for reduced output error, are described in this paper. Methods of constructing a control system of power conversion devices using feedforward of recurrent neural networks are presented through some examples. A behavior of controlled conversion devices with that control system is considered by the computer simulation.

      • 춘천에서 2002년 봄철 황사 발생기간 동안에 채취된 미세분진 중 무기성분의 특성

        Yellow sand(YS) storms were observed about ten times in the Korean peninsula during March and April in 2002. Twenty four hour fine particle(PM_2.5) samples were collected onto the 47 mm Teflun-coated quartz filters over 9 days during and after the events using the MiniVol Portable Air Sampler at a flow rate of 5 liters per minute. The highest PM_2.5 concentration measured during the YS period was 289 μg/m³, which is 13 times higher than the lowest of the values for the samples collected during the non-yellow said period. The filter samples were analyzed for inorganic ions using the IC, AAS and Autoanalyzer, and for metals using the ICPMS. The results showed that the concentrations of some inorganic ions (e.g., Ca^2+ and SO_(4)^2-) and metals (e.g., Fe, Mn) of soil origin were elevated during the yellow sand events.

        Generally, A numerical estimation of production in agriculture sector is made by production function, and indirect cost and profit function that apply the duality with production function. In our approach, Traditionally it is measured by production and indirect cost function. But, by utilizing the duality of production and indirect profit function, it also is possible. The parameters of profit function in estimating production function are 1. The parameters of production function can be efficiently measured. 2. Factor demand and supply function are directly derived from the UOP profit function. 3. It is possible to test the statistical hypotheses of constant return to scale, economic efficiency between farmer groups, and measure the variable input demand elasticities, output supply elasticities, and so on.

        Normal visual evoked potential (VEP) was measured on 43 healthy persons from 11 to 59 years old with visual acuity better than 0.9, using Neuropack 8. The mean patency of 29 persons using pattern reversal was 99*6.7msec and that of 14 persons using LED goggle was 105+12.7msec.

        Background : In recent years, gonorrhea has been panedemic and remains one of the most commom STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. Objective & Methods: For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of PPNG, we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the VD Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by means of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. Results: In 1996, 139 strains of N. gonorrhoeae were isolated, among which 53(39.0%) were PPNG. Conclusion: Our results suggests that after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, the prevalence of PPNG in Seoul is gradually declining.

      • 난지도 매립지에서 침출수 거동에 관한 연구

        최근 난지도 매립지는 침출수로 인한 지하수오염이 심각한 매립지 중 하나로 부각되고 있다. 본 연구는 난지도 매립지에서의 침출수 거동을 3차원 지하수 흐름을 모사 할 수 있는 MODFLOW(A Modular 3-D Finite Different Groundwater Flow Model)을 이용하여 분석하였고, 난지도 매립지에서의 침출수 발생량은 HELP(Hydraulic Evaluation of Landfill Performance)모델을 이용하여 추정하였다. 침출수 발생량은 최근 10년간의 기상 자료를 이용하여 산정 하였으며, 침출수 거동은 복토 전/후와 차수벽과 well 설치후의 시간 경과에 따른 침출수위의 변화를 계산하여 예측하였다. 본 연구는 난지도 매립지의 적절한 침출수 발생량과 침출수 거동을 예측하는데 있어 유용하게 사용될 것으로 사료된다. The Nanji landfill has recently became one of the most important site for groundwater contamination leachate transport. This study is to analyze the leachate transport in Nanji waste landfill using MODFLOW(A Modular 3-D Finite Different Groundwater Flow Model) model which can model three dimension groundwater flow. Leachate production rates are estimated by HELP(Hydraulic Evaluation of Landfill Performance) model and used weather records for recently 10 years. Leachate transport is predicted by a change of leachate level to after/before established HDPE, established slurry wall and wells. The purpose of this study is to predict appropriate leachate rates and leachate transport at Nanji waste landfill.

      • Roles of Immunohistochemical Staining in Diagnosing Pulmonary Squamous Cell Carcinoma

        Background: Differentiating morphologic features based on hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining is the most common method to classify pathological subtypes of non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). However, its accuracy and inter-observer reproducibility in pathological diagnosis of poorly differentiated NSCLC remained to be improved. Materials and Methods: We attempted to explore the role of immunohistochemistry (IHC) staining in diagnosing pulmonary squamous cell carcinoma (SQCC) with poorly differentiated features by HE staining or with elevated serum adenocarcinoma-specific tumor markers (AD-TMs). We also compared the difference of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutation rate between patients with confirmed SQCC and those with revised pathological subtype. Logistic regression analyses were used to test the association between different factors and diagnostic accuracy. Results: A total of 132 patients who met the eligible criteria and had adequate specimens for IHC confirmation were included. Pathological revised cases in poor differentiated subgroup, biopsy samples and high-level AD-TMs cases were more than those with high/moderate differentiation, surgical specimens and normal-level AD-TMs. Moreover, biopsy sample was a significant factor decreasing diagnostic accuracy of pathological subtype (OR, 4.037; 95% CI 1.446-11.267, p=0.008). Additionally, EGFR mutation rate was higher in patients with pathological diagnostic changes than those with confirmed SQCC (16.7% vs 4.4%, p=0.157). Conclusions: Diagnosis based on HE staining only might cause pathological misinterpretation in NSCLC patients with poor differentiation or high-level AD-TMs, especially those with biopsy samples. HE staining and IHC should be combined as pathological diagnostic standard. The occurrence of EGFR mutations in pulmonary SQCC might be overestimated.

        Structural Equation Model of Clinical Nurses' Willingness to Perform Basic Life Support (BLS) in South Korea

        본 연구는 국내 임상간호사를 대상으로 기본소생술 수행을 설명하기 위한 가설적 모형을 설정하고 실증적 자료검증 을 통해 예측모형을 구축함으로써 국내 임상간호사의 기본소생술 수행 능력 향상을 위한 이론적 기틀을 제공하고자 한다. 본 연구는 2012년 10월 25일부터 2013년 2월 25일 까지 3차 의료기관 임상간호사 520명을 대상으로 설문조사를 시행하였으 며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS win 20.0와 AMOS 18.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과 간호사의 기본소생술의 지식은 임상경험에 의해 직접적인 영향을 받았고, 임상경험은 기본소생술 수행의지에 간접적인 영향을 미쳤다. 지식과 임상경험의 기본소생술 수행의지에 대한 설명력은 19.5%이었다. 임상경험은 지식과 유의한 상관관계가 있었다(r=.61, p<.001). 따라서, 임상간호사의 기본소생술 수행의지를 높이기 위해 입원 환자의 질병 상태를 고려한 지식과 임상경험의 지속적인 교육이 필요하다. This study was conducted to develop a model that explains the factors influencing the clinical nurses' willingness to perform Basic Life Support and to verify the appropriateness of the model. The participants were 550 clinical nurses working at a university hospital in Korea. The data were collected from self-reported questionnaires from October 2012 to February 2013. A total of 520 questionnaires were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 20.0 and Amos version 18.0 software packages. The results indicated that the clinical nurses' knowledge of basic life support had a direct impact and their clinical experience had an indirect impact on their willingness to perform basic life support at the scene. These variables together explained 19.5% of the variance in the nurses' willingness to perform Basic Life Support. The clinical experience was correlated significantly with knowledge (r=.61, p<.001). To increase the clinical nurses' performance of Basic Life Support, knowledge and clinical experience should be reinforced by continuous in-service education on Basic Life Support, considering the disease status of hospitalized patients.

      • Multimodal Fusion and Data Augmentation for 3D Semantic Segmentation

        Since modern autonomous driving (AD) platforms offer a variety of sensors, it is intuitive to leverage complementary data from multimodal sensors to produce reliable 3D semantic segmentation. However, due to the information loss and the sub-optimized fusion in multimodal fusion methods, LiDAR-only methods currently occupy the top positions in the leaderboard of datasets. In this paper, we focus on two aspects to improve the LiDAR-camera fusion semantic segmentation performance, namely data augmentation and fusion strategy. First, we propose an novel data augmentation by refining point-image patches. Second, we design an attention fusion block for the dual-branch segmentation network by considering the modality gap between LiDAR and RGB camera. Experiments on nuScences indicate that our proposed method outperforms the baseline methods on key classes.
