        Impulsive Output Consensus of Networked Passive Systems

        In this paper, we study the problem of impulsive output consensus of multi-agent dynamical systems, where each agent is a passive system. Firstly, an impulsive control protocol is designed for networked passive systems based on the local information of agents. Secondly, sufficient conditions are derived to guarantee the output consensus of the multi-agent dynamical systems for the network with fixed and switching topologies, respectively. Finally numerical simulations are included to show the effectiveness of our theoretical results.

        Earth Pressure and Internal Forces of Tunnel Lining in Jet Grouting Reinforced Mud Stratum

        In this study, field measurements of the earth pressures and the main reinforcement strains were carried out at three shield tunnel linings in mud stratum reinforced by vertical jet-grouted piles during tunnel construction and post-construction. The measured strains were used to back-calculate the linings' internal forces. The measured earth pressures and the back-calculated internal forces were compared to corresponding design values. The results indicate that the earth pressure and the internal forces increased rapidly, before exhibiting a fluctuating decrease and finally a long-term slow change, after lining assembly. The vertical jet-grouted piles were beneficial to mobilise the soil arching effect and led to the real earth pressure on the lining significantly smaller than the full overburden pressure, even with a relatively shallow buried depth. The vertical jet-grouted piles intensified the influence of backfill grouting on the earth pressure and caused the lining segments near the backfill grouting holes to continuously bear more radial pressure in the long-term. The resultant internal forces during lining assembly were large, and the Conventional Model failed to consider this element of the internal forces. The findings can provide a reference for the design and the construction of similar projects.

        Consensus of Multi-agent Systems with Dead-zone Nonlinearity

        In this paper, we investigate the consensus problem of multi-agent systems with dead-zone nonlinearity over undirected networks. Firstly, a control protocol is designed based on the local infor-mation of agents. Then by LaSalle’s invariance principle for non-smooth systems, we prove that if the undirected graph is connected then the consensus is achieved by the proposed control protocol. Sec-ondly, sufficient conditions are given to guarantee the consensus of multi-agent systems with dead-zone nonlinearity and switching topologies by Lyapunov method. Finally, numerical simulations show the effectiveness of our theoretical results.

        Multiple Properties-Based Moving Object Detection Algorithm

        Object detection is a fundamental yet challenging task in computer vision that plays an important role in object recognition, tracking, scene analysis and understanding. This paper aims to propose a multiproperty fusion algorithm for moving object detection. First, we build a scale-invariant feature transform (SIFT) vector field and analyze vectors in the SIFT vector field to divide vectors in the SIFT vector field into different classes. Second, the distance of each class is calculated by dispersion analysis. Next, the target and contour can be extracted, and then we segment the different images, reversal process and carry on morphological processing, the moving objects can be detected. The experimental results have good stability, accuracy and efficiency.

        Biochemical Properties of Skin Collagens Isolated from Black Carp (Mylopharyngodon piceus)

        Acid-soluble collagen (ASC) and pepsin-soluble collagen (PSC) were extracted with the yield of 15.5 and 26.5% on the basis of dry weight from the skin of black carp (Mylopharyngodon piceus). ASC and PSC were similar in amino compositions and subunit compositions,but they were slightly different in the secondary structure. Both of ASC and PSC, either rehydrated in distilled water or in acetic acid, had a lower denaturation temperature than pig skin collagen (PPSC), but their denaturation temperature were higher than that of collagens from other freshwater fish. Intrinsic viscosity of different collagens decreased in the order of PPSC>PSC>ASC. Both of ASC and PSC showed only partial degradation in collagenase solution,but they revealed more sensitive to collagenase compared with PPSC. Black carp skin collagens did not induce a significant cytotoxic effect according to the results of in vitro cytotoxicity test.

        A 3-prismatic-revolute-spherical compliant parallel platform for optoelectronic packaging

        To align the optical channels of optoelectronic appliances, a 3-prismaticrevolute-spherical (3-PRS) compliant parallel platform (CPP) is proposed in this work. The platform has special large stroke compliant joints. Attention is paid to the establishment of the inverse kinematics model and the analysis of the parasitic motion (PM) of the platform. A prototype of the platform is also presented, and its accuracy is experimentally evaluated. Besides, the platform is employed as a 3 degree-of-freedom (DOF) platform for optoelectronic packaging. Furthermore, the closed-loop control strategy requires merely one optical power meter to avoid the use of complex multiple DOF detection devices. In this respect, the influence of the precision of inverse kinematics solution on the optoelectronic packaging is reduced. Moreover, a compensation rule is employed to minimize the effect of PM on the motion accuracy of the platform. The results show that the proposed 3-PRS CPP is highly efficient for optoelectronic packaging.

        Nicotinamide Mononucleotide Adenylyl Transferase 2 Inhibition Aggravates Neurological Damage after Traumatic Brain Injury in a Rat Model

        Objective : Nicotinamide mononucleotide adenylyl transferase 2 (NMNAT2) is a crucial factor for the survival of neuron. The role of NMNAT2 in damage following traumatic brain injury (TBI) remains unknown. This study was designed to investigate the role of NMNAT2 in TBI-induced neuronal degeneration and neurological deficits in rats. Methods : The TBI model was established in Sprague-Dawley rats by a weight-dropping method. Real-time polymerase chain reaction, western blot, immunofluorescence, Fluoro-Jade C staining, and neurological score analyses were carried out. Results : NMNAT2 mRNA and protein levels were increased in the injured-side cortex at 6 hours and peaked 12 hours after TBI. Knocking down NMNAT2 with an injection of small interfering RNA in lateral ventricle significantly exacerbated neuronal degeneration and neurological deficits after TBI, which were accompanied by increased expression of BCL-2-associated X protein (Bax). Conclusion : NMNAT2 expression is increased and NMNAT2 exhibits neuroprotective activity in the early stages after TBI, and Bax signaling pathway may be involved in the process. Thus, NMNAT2 is likely to be an important target to prevent secondary damage following TBI.

        A Geometric Errors Identification Method for the Rotating Axis of Five-Axis Welding Equipment

        This paper deals with the problems of high detection cost and low detection efficiency in geometric errors identification of five-axis welding equipment, proposing a new method for rotating axis equipment, based on screw theory and monocular vision. In this paper, a low-cost and high-precision pose measurement method is first proposed, while the screw theory is used to establish a kinematics model for five-axis welding equipment. Furthermore, an identification method for the kinematics parameters and geometric errors of the rotating axis is proposed. In order to verify the validity and feasibility of the proposed identification scheme, the high detection accuracy of the pose detection system is first verified. Following, the significant improvement of the motion accuracy, after geometric errors identification, is verified, based on sampling within the working range of the five-axis welding equipment. The experimental results show that, the average value of the relative direction error of the five-axis welding equipment is reduced from 0.5427°, prior to identification, to 0.0478°, post identification, while the average value of the relative position error is reduced from 0.1472 to 0.0174 mm, respectively. Therefore, the identification scheme is proven can effective in identifying the geometric errors for the rotating axis, while it significantly improves the motion accuracy of the five-axis welding equipment.

        Effects of Sm Content on Thermal Stability of Sm2Co17 Sintered Magnets

        Influence of Sm content on thermal stability of Sm2Co17 sintered magnets has been investigated. It is found that the temperature coefficients of remanence (α) first decrease, runs through a minimum,then starts to increases with increasing Sm content. During the sintering process, liquidphase (SmCo1.7) is beneficial to densification of the magnets. A substitution of Co for Fe in Sm-Cosintered magnets has been proved to decrease the α and improve the thermal stability of thesematerials.

        Safety Evaluation of Underground Gas Pipe under Blasting of Subway Connected Aisle: A Case Study

        How to ensure the underground gas pipe’s safety under blasting construction of subway connected aisles is a key problem in tunnel construction. Based on the blasting excavation project of Wuhan Rail Transit Line 8 phase II, the numerical model whose reliability is verified by field monitoring data is established by ANSYS/LS-DYNA to analyze the dynamic underground gas pipe’s dynamic characteristics under blasting excavation of the connected aisle. According to the piping design code, the allowable effective stress control standard of underground pipe is proposed to evaluate the underground pipe’s safety under the blasting. The results show that: with the advance of blasting excavation, the position of the most dangerous section will change constantly and the pipe’s peak particle velocity (PPV) will appear an obvious amplification phenomenon in both sides of metro tunnels. The pipe’s PPV is greater than the ground surface’s PPV. A mathematical model is established to predict the pipeline’s PPV based on the linear relationship between the pipeline and the ground surface. According to the correlation between PPV and von-Mises stress of gas pipeline, a mathematical model between the pipe’s von-Mises stress and distance is established to predict the pipeline’s safety, which can provide guidance for actual blasting engineering.
