        Bortezomib과 Dexamthasone으로 치료한 골수외 형질세포종 4예

        Despite the use of aggressive local and systemic treatment including autologous stem cell transplantation in multiple myeloma, extramedullary recurrences are common and the prognosis of these patients is poor. Many novel drugs such as thalidomide, lenalidomide and bortezomib improve the response of treatment of multiple myeloma, but some reports failed to describe thalidomide has effect in extramedullary plasmacytoma. Recent data report on the successful treatment plasmacytomas with bortezomib in patients with advanced multiple myeloma. We treated 4 relapsed or refractory extramedullary plasmacytomas with bortezomib at our institution. We recognized all these extramedullary plasmacytomas decreased and showed more than partial response. This report lends support to the efficacy of bortezomib in the treatment of plasmacytoma and describes the safe use of bortezomib. Responses may, however, be of short duration. Therefore, despite our limited experience, we propose that bortezomib may be considered a therapeutic option for such patients who have risk of radiation therapy

      • 카드뮴中毒으로 因한 白鼠睾丸 組織의 變化와 마늘의 防禦效果

        The garlic contains, along with many kinds of organic compounds, some allylsulfides, amino acids, thiolactic acid, glutathione and some vitamins has expected to yield the effect of detoxication of heavy metal poisoning by forming thiochelate compounds when reacting with heavy metals in bodies. To examine this hypothesis, especially for the effect of garlic on the detoxication of Cd-poisoning in testis, one of the most sensitive target organs of Cd-poisoning, a total of 60 albino rats were sampled as experimental animals and devided into six group: a group given with only 100ppm cadmium; one given 3.35% garlic; two groups given with 1.70% and 6.67% garlic in addition to 100ppm cadmium; one given 400ppm garlic oil and a group of controls. After rearing the rats with different meals and water as indicathe above for 12 weeks, alkaline phosphatase activity, cadmium content in testis and pathological changers in testicular tissue were measured and observed to have following results; The group given with 6.67% garlic in addition to 100ppm cadmium showed significant decrease of toxic changes due to cadmium poisoning in terms of alkaline phosphatase activity, cadmium accumulation in testis, and pathological change of testicular of testicular tissues. On the other hand, the group given 100ppm cadmium only showed significantly higher cadmium in testis, more decrease of alkaline phosphatase activity and definite pathological findings of hydropic degeneration and necrosis with atrophy n seminiferous tubules and degenerative changes in germinal epithelium of testis. The group given with 400ppm garlic oil in addition to cadmium showed in midline reaction in every above toxic changes.

      • 1978년의 국제운송 조약이 해상보험에 미치는 영향

        1978년 함부르크규칙의 제정을 전후하여 함부르크규칙이 이중보험에 미치는 영향과 관련한 논의가 심각하게 이루어진 이래 지난 20여년간의 논의를 요약해 보면 다음과 같다. 즉 동규칙의 지지자들에 따르면 함부르크규칙의 운송인에 대한 추정과일책임주의 적용이 해운기업의 효율적인 위험관리의 실행 및 운송물건에 대한 주의정도를 높임으로써 사고의 발생을 감소시켜 이중보험 및 전체적인 보험비용을 감소시킬 것이라 한다. 이에 대한 반대론자 등에 따르면 함부르크규칙의 규정은 헤이그나 헤이그-비스비규칙의 그것보다 애매하기 때문에 해석을 둘러싼 소송비용을 증가시키고, 운송인에 의한 책임보험에로의 위험의 전가는 이중보험문제를 더욱 악화시켜 전체적인 보험비용을 증가시킬 것이라 한다. 이중보험과 관련한 함부르크규칙의 평가는 객관적으로 신뢰할만한 실증분석을 통하여 최종적으로 이루어질 수 있겠으나 현재의 상황으로는 이 분석을 위한 자료의 확보가 불가능하다. 이러한 한계점을 염두에 두고 본 논문에서는 동 규칙의 해석을 통하여 결론을 내리고 있다. 함부르크규칙의 해석론적 평가를 한 결과, 단기적으로는 동규칙이 이중보험문제에 대하여 특이할만한 영향을 미칠 것으로 보이지 않으며 결국 함부르크규칙이 지향하는 이중보험문제와 관련한 이상과 현실 사이에는 상당한 괴리가 있음을 발견하였다.

        당뇨병 및 간경변증 환자에서 발생한 Fusarium verticillioides에 의한 피부 감염 1예

        Fusarum species, which are common soil saprophytes, have been implicated as a pathogen causing a variety of opportunistic infections such as keratitis, onychomycosis, burn wound infection or disseminated systemic infections in immunocompromised hosts. We report a case of cutaneous infection caused by F. verticillioides in a 59-year-old man, with a long history of diabetes mellitus and alcoholic liver cirrhosis. He presented with a few papules and fluctuant cutaneous nodules on both forearms traumatized by woodstick 4 months ago. The diagnosis of F. verticillioides infection was established by histopathologic examination and findings of tissue cultures.

        高果糖 誘導 고지혈증 흰쥐에 대한 薏苡仁의 효과

        Objective : In order to examine the effects of Coicis Semen on the hyperlipidemia, the extracts of Job's Tears were given to hyperlipidemic rats induced by fructose-rich chow. Method : The hyperlipidea was induced by fructose-rich chow during five weeks in rats. And the rats were administered with the extracts prepared from husk layer, bran layer, polished rice, unpolished rice or unhulled grain of Job's Tears each others during three weeks. And then, the effects of the extracts on body weight gain, total cholesterol, triglyceride and blood glucose were examined. Results and Conclusion : The extracts prepared from polished rice, unpolished rice or unhulled grain of Job's Tears had no effects on the body weight gains of the corpulent rats induced by a high fructose diet. Meanwhile, the extracts prepared from the unhulled grain (Coicis Semen), unpolished rice, and bran layer of Job's Tears decreased the levels of blood total cholesterol. and triglyceride, each others. And the effect of unhulled grain was more stronger than those of the others. The results suggested that unhulled grain had some materials useful for alleviating the hyperlipidemia, and the effective molecule is existed in the surface of unhulled grain.

      • 국제상거래에 대한 ebXML 적용상의 법적 문제점

        전통적으로 전자무역거래에 적용되어온 EDI의 단점을 보완하고 특히 개방된 네트워크 상에서 좀더 효율적인 전자거래를 하기 위해 전자상거래XML(Electronic business XML: ebXML)이 추진되고 있다. ebXML이 무역거래에 실용화되기 위해서는 기술적 발전을 다룰 수 있는 법적 기반이 마련되어야 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 ebXML을 국제무역거래에 적용시킬 경우 법적 문제점을 찾아보고 ebXML을 무역거래에 효율적으로 활용시키기 위한 법률적 보완점을 제시하는데 있다. ebXML 거래가 이루어지기 위해서는 교환되는 전자문서의 법적 효력을 확보하는 것과 사이버공간에서 안정적인 거래를 할 수 있어야 한다. 이를 위해 ebXML 구성 내용을 명확히 해야 하고 법령의 정비가 이루어져야할 것이다. Electronic business XML(ebXML) is under process to develop to supplement EDI's shortcomings and to facilitate the electronic trade more efficiently in the open network system. For the efficient application of ebXML to the international trade, legal arrangements should be established to cover the technological development in this field. This paper is to examine the legal problems relating to the actual application of ebXML model to suggest the directions to regulate the transactions through ebXML. It is required to secure the legal effect of the electronic documents through ebXML and to establish the legal provisions for the safe transaction on cyberspace to apply the ebXML to the international trade. For this, the technical and structural mechanism of ebXML should be elaborated, which should be supported by the proper legal system.

        The purpose of this study are to investigate Vygotsky's Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) theory, and to discuss his theory in terms of the practice of early childhood education. Based on Vygotsky's theory of ZPD, the following suggestions can be drawn : 1. In order to provide the foundation of learning of young children, teachers should evaluate them using dynamic method of assessing their ZPD. 2. Since teacher are one of the most important factors influencing children's development, they should try to improve their professional quality. 3. The ratio of teacher vs children should be lower and children should be divided into small groups for more effective scaffolding. 4. Mixed age group is more effective than homogeneous age group in order to enhance young children's active peer interaction. 5. Teacher should select and provide children with various activities in which children can experience cooperation with peers and social interaction with other using language. 6. Teacher should establish an appropriate educational objectives for each child on the basis of the results of the dynamic assessment

        단백질 간의 상호작용에 대한 연구는 생물학적 프로세스를 이해하기 위해 중요한 부분이다. 이 논문의 목적은 생물학적 내용을 담고 있는 연구논문으로부터 단백질간의 상호작용을 추출하는 확장성을 가진 텍스트 마이닝 기법을 제안하는데 있다. 단백질 간의 상호작용에 대한 정보는 주로 생명과학 관련 연구논문에 존재하지만 컴퓨터로 자동으로 처리하여 상호작용에 관한 정보를 추출할 수 있기 위해서는 텍스트 마이닝 기술이 적용되어야 한다. 바이오 텍스트 마이닝에서 대두되고 있는 중요한 쟁점은 대용량의 연구논문에서 필요한 정보를 어떻게 효율적으로 정확하게 추출할 것인가에 대한 내용이다. 또한, 관심이 있는 단백질의 종류나 상호작용에 대한 관련성을 나타내는 문장내 패턴의 다양성을 수용하기 위하여 시스템의 확장성을 높이는 것도 소프트웨어 공학적인 측면에서 중요한 이슈이다. The research for protein-protein interactions remains an important part to understand the biological process. This paper suggests a text mining technique with extensibility, which extracts the protein-protein interaction from the biological research papers. There is much information related to the protein-protein interactions in plentiful biological research papers, we need the text-mining technique to extract the protein-protein interaction information automatically and rapidly. The main issue in bio-textming lays how to extract the necessary information efficiently and correctly. In addition, it is a significant issue to accommodate the concerned kinds of proteins and the diversity patterns in sentences with the relevance about protein-protein interactions in order to increase system extendibility in aspect of software engineering.

      • 오차드그래스(Dactylis glomerata L.)의 품종에 따른 종자유래의 캘러스 형성률과, 캘러스 크기 및 식물체 재분화 효율의 비교

        Comparison results of callus formation ratio from seed explants, callus sizes, regeneration ratios from callus and regeneration efficiency [calculated by following formular; callus formation ratio(%) × regeneration ratio(%)/100]for 27 ochardgrass (Dactylis glomerata L.)varieties imported and Hapsung 2 developed in Korea are as follows; 1. Among ochardgrass varieties showing more than 50% callus formation ratios, the descending order of callus formation ratio after bedding the seed explants for 4 weeks was 93>Sparta>Pizza>Condor>Lidaglo>Glorus>Hapsung2>Frode. 2. The callus sizes after bedding for 4 weeks were in the range of φ 0.43cm~4.2cm in which there was 10 times size difference between the largest one and the smallest one but most of them were between φ2.5cm~4cm. 3. The regeneration ratio from callus among varieties were in the range of 0~36% and descending order of the upper 6 varieties was Plano>Akimidori>Justus>Lidacta>Currie>Hall mark. 4. The regeneration efficiency which is calculated by the ratios of regeneration from seed explant numbers was between 0 to 17.4% among which Justus showed the highest value in the 4-week treatment. 5. The correlation between callus formation ratios and the callus sizes, callus formation ratios and regeneration efficiency, and callus sizes and regeneration efficiency were r=0.5765, r=0.6365 and r=0.6246, respectively in 4-week callus and all the correlations were significant on the 1% level. 6. In 6-week callus, the descending order callus formation ratios from seed sxplants for the best 6 varieties was Condor>Sparta>93M>Justus>Potomac>Lidaglo>Frode. 7. The callus sizes formed were between φ1.5~5.7cm in which Sparta, the largest one of φ5.7cm was five times larger than the smallest one. The callus size of the control variety. Hapsung 2 was φ3.8cm, which belonged to larger size. 8. Regeneration ratio showed a great deviation among varieties from 6-week old calli by showing from 0% to 100% in which all the calli were regenerated in Plano while no callus was regenerated in Juno, 9. The range of regeneration effciency was between 0~28% among varieties in which the values from 6-week callus treatment were larger than those from 4-week callus treatment. Especially, the value of Potomac in 6-week was 3 times larger than that in 4-week. 10. The correlation between callus formation ratios and the callus sizes, callus formation ratios and regeneration efficiency, and callus sizes and regeneration effciency were r=0.8369, r=0.6683 and r=0.5937, respectively in 6-week callus, and all the correlations were significant on the 1% level.
