      • 영지버섯(Ganoderma Iucidum) 생장점으로부터 분리한 단백다당류의 면역활성

        Two protein-polysaccharide fractions. GLA and GLB, respectively, were prepared from the pileus of the fully grown carpophores and the tips of the growing carpophores of Ganoderma lucidum. At a dose of 100 ㎎/㎏/day ip. GLA and GLB inhibited the growth of sarcoma 180 solid tumor in ICR mice by 56.3% and 81.8%, respectively. In a flow cytometric (FCM) analysis. GLA and GLB enhanced the formation of lymphoblasts of BALB.c splenic leukocytes at a concentration of 100㎍/㎖, by 38.3% and 61.3%, respectively. When ip injected into ICR mice. GLB exerted anti-leukopernic effect against cyclopospamide (75 ㎎/㎏/day ip) in that the leukocyte counts of the peripheral blood of the normal and the cycloposphamide-treated mice, respectively, was (11.1±3.8)×10 exp(3) and (4.0±1.8)×10 exp(3), while the GLB-cyclophosphamide treated mice showed a leukocyte count of (10.8±5.1)×10 exp(3) cells/㎕. These results suggest that GLB is a promising candidate for an effective cancer immunotherapeutic agent.

        외상성 간손상과 비장손상시 CT분류의 의의

        The Organ Injury Scaling Committee of the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma recently published a consensus classification of hepatic and splenic injuries. The hepatic and splenic injury scales, based on parenchymal laceration and intrahepatic hematoma, include grade 1 to 6 and grade 1 to 5 respectively, representing the least to most severe injury. Forty-eight patients with hepatic and splenic injury were evaluate by abdominal CT from January 1995 to May 1996 and we compared abdominal CT grading with operative grading. Four CT grades did not correlate with operative finding. CT grading showed a sensitivity of 80%, specificity 80% in regard to operative grading. We conclude that 1) CT is an accurate technique to determine the extent of hepatic and splenic injury. 2) CT grading of hepatic and splenic trauma has a high correlation with operative grading.

        Radiocobalt의 體內 汚染에 對한 除染效果

        국내 原子力 産業의 施設增大로 放射線核種汚染의 가능성이 날로 증가되고 있음에도 불구하고 종사자 및 인근주민에 대한 診療對策에 관한 연구가 전무한 실정에 있어 이에 대한 기초자려마련의 일환인 應急處置方案을 수립코자 58CoCl2 1μCi를 마우스 (NIH-(GP))의 腹腔內에 投與한 후 CoNa3 DTPA 8.4mg/0.2ml saline, CoNa3 DTPA 8.4mg/0.2ml saline, saline 5ml등을 각각 投與하였으며, cobalt의 全身殘存量, 體內分布 및 尿內 含有된 量을 測定하기 위해 投與 後 4, 8, 12, 48시간, 그리고 7일에 MCA의 Ge-detector로 放射能을 計測하였고, 또한 각 實質臟器內 殘存된 cobalt의 放射能을 測定하기 위하여 각 group당 6마리의 마우스를 屠殺解體하여 測定하였던바 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. CoNa3 DTPA 處置群에서는 汚染된 放射性 cobalt의 全身殘存率의 減少 및 排泄率 增加에 유효한 效果가 있었으며, system contamination에 대한 방어효과는 CoNa3 DTPA, CoNa3 DTPA 그리고 saline 順으로 유효하였다. 결론적으로 본 실험결과로 볼 때 放射性 cobalt의 體內汚染에 대한 緊扱措置는 CoNa3 DTPA와 다량의 물을 동시에 投與함으로써 體內汚染된 放射性 cobalt의 排泄을 促進시킬 것으로 사료된다. In case of the acute intake of radionuclide, an early medical treatment may be necessary, but the little is established the procedures to decontaminate the victims of internal contamination in Korea. The purpose of the present investigation is to study chemical agents to remove radiocobalt from the victims and to provide a more reliable procedure for the treatment. The removals of radiocobalt from the NIH-(GP)mice injected intraperitoneally with lμCi of 58Co as CoCl2 were investigated with doses of either CaNa3 DTPA 8.4mg/0.2ml saline, CoNa3 DTPA 8.4mg/0.2ml saline, or saline 5ml. The radioactivity was determined by MCA and Ge-detector on 4, 8, 12, 48 hours and 7 days for the whole body, organ distribution and urine excretion. Six mice per each group were sacrificed for the measurement of cobalt retention in the parenchymal tissue. The cobalt trisodium chelate had a pronounced effect on reducing the whole body retention and increasing the excretion rate. Regarding to the systemic protective effects, CoNa3 DTPA, CaNa3 DTPA and saline were effected significantly in order. In conclusion, the extrapolations from these results to human were suggested that the rapid administration of cobalt trisodium chelate and an amount of saline to the contaminated person after internal contamination of radiocobalt were markedly increasing the decontamination effects.

      • 단일경사열선을 이용한 3차원 유동장의 자동측정방법

        퍼스널 컴퓨터 및 스텝핑 모터를 사용한 자동계측장치를 개발하였고 이러한 자동계측장치를 이용하여 단일경사열선으로 유동장의 3차원 속도성분을 측정하였다. 검정실험을 통해 얻어진 검정실험식의 사용범위를 알아보기 위해 검정실험식의 사용범위를 알아보기 위해 검정실험식으로부터 구한 속도, 스윌각 및 피치각들을 실제 측정값들과 비교 검토하였다. The 3-D velocity components were measured by single slanted hot wire. An automatic measuring system which was controlled by means of a personal computer and stepping motors was developed. Absolute velocity, swirl angle and pitch angle are calculated from the outputs of hot wire anemometer using the calibration equations. The difference between the measured and calculated values was investigated.

        Background and Objectives : The calcium-binding protein, calbindin-D28K(CB) is widely distribution of CB in rat amygdala during postnatal maturation, in order to provide an insight into the developmental role it may play in the amygdaloid neurons. Materials and Methods : The present study is based on 28 postnatal cases ranging from the day of birth, postnatal day 0 (P0) to 30 days (P5, P10, P15, P20, P30), and these cases were compared with adult rat amygdala. Cryostat sections processed free-floating with monoclonal antibody by immunohistochemistry. Results : CB-immunoreactive neurons were already found at birth in all amygdaloid nuclei except the intercalated nucleus. The intensity and number of immunoreactivity of CB-containing neurons increased during the first 10 days of postnatal life but dramatically decreased at P15. Mature patterns of CB-immunoreactive neurons were achieved at P20. In the adult amygdala, CB-immunoreactive neurons were distributed in almost all amygdaloid nuclei except the intercalated nucleus. Conclusion : The present results show early appearance of CB immunoreactivity in the amygdala. It may be related to the early appearance of CB immunoreactivity in many other brain regions, and suggests that CB may play a functional role during the development of the nervous system including amygdala.

      • 비확공성 골수강내 금속정을 이용한 폐쇄성 경골 간부 골절의 치료

        Most of closed fractures of the tibial shaft can be treated successfully with medullary nails. Reamed intramedullary nailing technique has become a good alternative method in treating the close tibial fracture. Unreamed interlocking intramedullary nailing has been employed successfully in the treatment of open tibial fractures. This study was undertaken to evaluate the result of interlocking intramedullary nailing without reaming in the treatment of closed fractures of the tibial shaft. From 1995 through 1998, fifty four cases of the closed, displace tibial fractures were treated by an unreamed intramedullary nailing and the average follow-up period was 1 year and 5 months(ranged from 12 months to 27 months). The results were as follows : 1. Fifty four cases were treated with closed, unreamed nailing technique and the nail which has 1mm smaller diameter than isthmic width of unaffected tibia was choosen. 2. The average time to bony union was achieved at 17 weeks without abundant periosteal b callus formation. 3. Eight tibiae were required the additional procedure such as autogenous bone graft, skin graft or local skin flap. We also have observed the screw breakage of ten tibiae but there were no intraoperative jamming or incarceration and no significant complicaton such as bending or breakage of the nail, shortening or non-union of the fractures. In conclusion, unreamed technique is an attractive method to treat the close, displaced fractures of the tibial shaft. 경골 간부 골절의 치료에 있어서 견고한 내 고정으로 조기 관절운동 및 체중 부하를 통해 골절 유합 및 기능 회복을 도모할 수 있는 골수강내 금속정 고정술이 널리 사용되어지고 있다. 골수강내 금속정술의 장점은 술 후 조기 관절운동과 체중 부하가 가능하여 이환율(morbidity)을 감소시키며 불유합의 발생률이 낮아는 것이다. 경골 간부 골절의 치료에 있어서 비확공성 금속정 고정술은 주로 심한 연부 조직 손상을 동반한 골절 및 개방성 골절의 치료에 적용되어지고 있으며, 대부분의 폐쇄성 경골 간부 골절의 치료로는 골수강 확공 후 골수강을 충만시키는 금속정을 삽입하는 확공정 금속정 고정술이 시행되어지고 있는 경향이다. 저자들은 폐쇄성 경골 간부 골절에 대해서 비확공성 금속정 고정술의 유용성 여부를 알아보기 위해서 동국대학교 의과대학 정형외과학교실에서 치료했던 54례를 평균 1년 5개월 추시하여 골 유합 기간, 합병증의 발생에 대해서 분석하였다. 본 연구에서 비확공성 금속정 고정술시 골 유합 기간은 확공성 금속정 고정술시와 비교하여 유의한 차이가 없음을 알 수 있었으며, 확공을 하지 않음으로써 발생할 수 있는 jamming이나 가는 직경의 금속정을 선택함으로써 우려되는 금속정의 휨, 부러짐 등의 합병증은 발생하지 않았다. 결론적으로 폐쇄성 경골 간부 골절의 치료에 있어서도 비확공성 골수강내 금속정 고정술은 유용한 방법으로 사료된다.

      • 돌와(Gynostemma pentaphyllum)엑기스가 白鼠의 肝臟障碍에 미치는 影響

        This study was attempted to invesigate the effects of extract and crude saponins of Gynostemma pentaphyllum Makino on the activities of S-GPT, S-GOT, Al.P, LDH and the levels of total-bilirubin, total-cholesterol in the serum of nomal rats and experimentally CCl_4-intoxicated rats, and on the effect of body, liver and spleen weight in CCl_4-intoxicated rats. The results were shown as follows; The extract (GE.) and crude saponins were showed a significantly decrease in the activities of S-GPT, S-GOT, Al.P and the level of total bilirubin in the serum elevated by CCl_4, but crude saponins was more decreased than GE. The activities of LDH were significantly decreased of the 4th and the 6th days after administration of GE., and crude saponins was decreased in proportion to the number of days. The level of total cholesterol were significantly decreased in all sample groups. when compared with control group, but remarkably decreased in GE. 500㎎/㎏ and crude saponins 100㎎/㎏. The liver and spleen weight were decreased on the administration of GE. and crude saponins. According to the above results, it is thought that GE. and crude saponins exhibited significant antihepatotoxic activity in the CCl_4-intoxicated rats.

      • Active Carbon에 의한 Ethylene Glycol 의 液相吸着

        In adsorption processes, equilibrium and the rate of approach to equilibrium are important design and operation variables. The concentration of ethylene glycol, which was greatly decreased by adsorption on active carbon, was measured in a stirred tank adsorption vessel at 30, 40, and 50℃. The data of adsorption equilibrium in various concentrations have been plotted on the basis of Henry, Langmuir, and Freundlich adsorption relations, and it has been found that the data are well fitted by the Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption isotherms. At the early stage of adsorption, the adsorption rate on the external surface is so rapid compared with other mass transfer process that the inital adsorption rate is governed by boundary film mass transfer process between the bulk liquid and the external surface of active carbon. The coefficent of boundary film mass transfer is also proportional to the revolution speed of impeller. The values of intraparticle diffusion coefficent, which has been determined by the Dryden and Kay method at 30, 40, and 50℃, increases with increasing temperature.
