        Development of a Chest‑Belt‑Type Biosignal‑Monitoring Wearable Platform System

        The purpose of this study was to develop a wearable platform system that can detect and acquire a soldier’s biosignals (i.e., heart activity signal, respiration rate, etc.) in a nonrestrained, unconscious manner. These detected biosignals are transmitted to a processing device to analyze and monitor the soldier’s physical status. To achieve this, textile-based heart activity electrodes and a strain gauge sensor for the respiration signal measurement were developed, and their performances in detecting each signal were verifed. These sensors were embedded in a chest belt to design a wearable platform that can simultaneously measure heart activity and respiration signals. The sensor part of the chest belt has a dual layer structure to detect high-quality signals. Stretch fabric was used on the outer layer and a respiration sensor was attached to the belt. On the inside layer, a non-stretch fabric was used as the base fabric and a heart activity-sensing electrode, that is capable of taking measurements using a modifed lead-II heart activity signal induction method, was embroidered onto the fabric. Subjects were asked to wear the chest belt, and a biosignal processor module was attached to verify the system’s performance while simultaneously acquiring the heart activity and respiration signals. More specifcally, it was confrmed that the two signals were detected in a stable. It is expected that the biosignal-monitoring wearable platform system developed in this study will be able to efectively analyze and monitor soldiers’ biosignals.

      • 신도시 아파트 거주가구의 근린환경 만족도 고찰

        The purpose of this study is to analyze differences in between neighborhood satisfaction of apartment residents in five Newtowns. To accomplish this aims, the 361 samples of the apartment residents were partially used from the que.stionnaire data surveyed for a study on the housing consumption behavior of the Metropolitan area by KRIHS (Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements) in 1999. To data analysis, descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Duncan test, factor analysis, crosstabulation analysis, correlation and multiple regression analysis were performed with the SPSS Win program (Ver. 10. 0). Conclusions are as follows : 1. The apartment residents in five Newtowns were mainly in thirties and forties and in the level of a white-collar worker (office worker). The greater part of this sample possessed their own house and its size was large-sized with a room of four. 2. The present neighborhood satisfaction of the apartment residents in Newtowns was 3.56 points. The eight factors (Traffic facilities, Green space, Educational facilities, Neighborhood facilities, Cultural facilities, Participation condition, Financial condition and Public services) of neighborhood satisfaction were between 3 and 4 points. Household characteristics and housing characteristics did not have an significant effect on the neighborhood satisfaction. But the residential town had an effect on it. Residents in Bundang were satisfied much more than other towns (Chungdong, Ilsan, Pyongchon, Sanbon) with Traffic facilities, Green space, Neighborhood facilities, Cultural facilities, Participation condition and Financial condition. Bundang considered residents more than other Newtowns in six aspects. Residents in Chungdong were satisfied with Cultural facilities. Residents in Sanbon were satisfied with Traffic facilities, Educational facilities and Financial condition.

        The water quality in the Taechong dam basin was simulated for some conditions of flow and pollutant load with QUAL2E model verified to be available in several examples. The changes of water quality in 1996, 2001 and 2006 were predicted to evaluate the pollutant load contributions and aid to establish the water quality control plan. The flow rate for environment maintenance of upstream basin of Kum river was also proposed.

        Abstract - The biggest difficulty the small and small business currently face is not to have the effective operation of management system that is the computerization of management, and the problem is the small and medium-sized company can not afford the expenses caused by maintaining and operating such huge man-powers and facilities. Therefore, in this study, we try to develope the Quality Information System allowing the effective outflow and management of information through the availability lf viewing and managing the information by the level by menas of setting the log-in levels for the operation of information, easy revision or medification in the changed structure and new assignment made and followed by the modularization of program. For the accomplishment of above purpose, the material coding work or process allowing the easy classification of materials by emplyees of the company through the in-house standardization of material classifying standard is the foundation for the fast data processing so, it must be achieved first. And also, the purpose of this study is for inducement of the production management and quality control operated by companies to the computerization and automation, and we try to develop the DB Design allowing the realtime monitoring the ordered quantity to quantity to be delivered and output through a unit of PC and the increased consequence with the other works by monitoring the output at the site through the central PC instead of the system monitoring the output at the site by the manager for accomplishment of this purpose.

      • 국제선 항공사 기내서비스에 대한 불만족과 불평행동유형에 관한 연구

        The deepening of competition in the airline industry made the motive to evoke the quality management which emphasizes the quality side in the airline service. Espesially, in the service the fact that the customer's loyalty extent is desided buy how the dissatisfaction than satisfaction is dissolved, the complaint which customers feel is controlled and deserved and repurchase intention become higher means the treatment of complaint behavior of dissatisfied customers became key factor in the customer management. Customers have five fundamental alternatives when they have dissatisfied with a purchase or some aspect of it; take no action, discontinue use of the service, tell friends and others about their problem, complain to cabin manager, complain to sort of consumer protection group and KNTO(Korea National Tourism Organization) For the reserch, this study collected 240 questionnaires targeted to native passengers who come to Korea at the Inchon international airport terminal and set up five hypothesis and used muitiful regression analysis, paired-sample T-test, crosstabulations analysis. According to survey, 1st, Evaluation factor of cabin service quality is positively related to customer's satisfaction. 2nd, There is significant difference between the attribution of cabin service quality and subject of dissatisfaction. Specially, They are dissatisfied by the human professionalism such as cabin crew's clean appearance, courteous cabin crew, pertinent service procedures. 3rd, Dissatisfied passengers than satisfied passengers show strong complaint behavior. 4th, Rutine object passengers than object passengers show strong complaint behavior. 5th, Dissatisfied passengers using national airlines were more likely to refuse to use them again than those using foreign airlines. As a result of the reserch, it could be helpful for the airline industry to establish marketing strategy by understanding dissatisfied factors and complaining behaviors of airline passengers. Finally, Airline management should make more efforts to improve service quality.

      • 삼백초(Saururus Chinensis (Lour.) Bail) 열수추출물의 암세포 저해 효과 및 항산화효소 활성에 미치는 영향

        삼백초(Saururus Chinensis (Lour.) Bail)열수추출물의 항암활성 검색을 위하여 여러 암세포에 대한 저해효과와 항산화효과를 측정하고 발암물질인 MNNG를 투여한 동물조직내의 항산화 효소 활성변화에 미치는 영향 등을 살펴보았다. 그 결과 삼백초 열수추출물은 특히 혈액암 세포인 U937에 대해 가장 높은 저해 활성을 나타내었고, 또한 Chinese hamster V79 cell을 이용한 H2O2로 유도된 세포독성에 대한 억제효과도 나타내었다. 그리고 삼백초 열수추출물은 MNNG를 투여한 다음 감소된 glutathione S-transferase와 superoxide dismutase의 활성과 glutathion의 함량을 높여주었다. 이상의 결과로 삼백초 열수추출물은 항산화에 관련하여 발암을 예방하리라 사료된다. Chemoprevetion effects of Saururus Chinensis (Lour.) Bail water extracts on several tumor cells, Chinese hamster V79 cells and antioxidant enzymes in Wistar male rats were investigated. The water extracts of Saururus Chinensis (Lour.) Bail showed a higher cytotoxicity effect on the human histiocytic leukemia cells(U937) and protective effects against the cytotoxicity of H2O2. The glutathione content was decreased by MNNG treatment but was increased by adding Saururus Chinensis (Lour.) Bail water extracts. Also the activities of glutathione S-transferase and superoxide dismutase were increased by the treatment of Saururus Chinensis (Lour.) Bail water extracts more than with MNNG alone. These results suggest that the water extracts of Saururus Chinensis (Lour.) Bail inhibit the growth on U937 and has a protective effect on liver and stomach damage by the activities of free radical generating enzymes.

        주택에서 Box Model을 이용한 평균 환기율 및 이산화질소 발생량 추정

        Indoor air quality is affected by source strength of pollutants, ventilation rate, decay rate, outdoor level, and so on. Although technologies measuring these factors exist directly, direct measurements of all factors are not always practical in most field studies. The purpose of this study was to develop an alternative method to estimate these factors by application of multiple measurements. For the total duration of 30 days, daily indoor and outdoor NO₂ concentrations were measured in 30 houses in Brisbane, Australia, and for 21 days in 40 houses in Seoul, Korea, respectively. Using a box model by mass balance and linear regression analysis, penetration factor (ventilation divided by sum of air exchange rate and deposition constant) and source strength factor (emission rate divided by sum of air exchange rate and deposition constant) were calculated. Subsequently, the ventilation and source strength were estimated. In Brisbane, the penetration factors were 0.59±0.14 and they were unaffected by the presence of a gas range. During sampling period, geometric mean of natural ventilation was estimated to be 1.10±1.51 ACH, assuming a residential NO₂ decay rate of 0.8 hr^(-1) in Brisbane. In Seoul. natural ventilation was 1.15±1.73 ACH with residential NO₂ decay rate of 0.94 hr^(-1). Source strength of NO₂ in the houses with gas range (12.7±9.8 ppb/hr) were significantly higher than those in houses with an electric range (2.8±2.6 ppb/hr) in Brisbane. In Seoul, source strength in the houses with gas range were 16.8±8.2 ppb/hr. Conclusively, indoor air quality using box model by mass balance was effectively characterized.

        제주 지역의 B형 간염 바이러스 유전자형

        목적: HBV 감염이 무증상의 자연 회복부터 간경변 혹은 간세포성 간암까지 다양하게 나타나는 요인들로 숙주의 요인과 바이러스의 요인으로 구분되어 제시되는데, 바이러스 요인으로는 감염된 바이러스이 유형이나 염기 변이들이 논의된다. HBV 유형을 구분하는 데는 혈청형과 유전자형이 이용되는데 근자에는 주로 유전자형이 이용된다. 이러한 HBV의 분포는 지역적으로 다르나 지역에 따라서 다른 유형들이 혼재되어 있다. 동남아시아는 B형이지만 극동아시아는 C형으로 알려져 있으며, 대만과 오키나와에서는 B와 C형이 혼재되어 나타난다. 이러한 결과로 미루어 보아 우리 나라의 남부지역에서는 B과 C형이 혼재되어 있을 가능성이 있다. 이에 본 연구는 제주 지역에서 HBV의 유전자형을 조사하고자 하였다. 대상과 방법: 원적지가 제주도이면사, HBsAg가 양성이었던 107명(평균 연령: 46.5세)을 대상으로 하였다. 이들의 혈청으로부터 HBsAg/antiHBe를 분석하고, DNA를 추출하여 7개의 유전자형에 따라 특이성을 갖는 시발체(genotype specific primer)들을 이용하여 PCR로 증폭한 후 이를 분석하였다. 주된 유전자형의 일부와 다른 유형에서 증폭에 이용되었던 시발체를 다르게 이용하여 hemi nested PCR로 증폭한 후 염기를 분석하여 계통발생학적 분석법을 이용하였다. 결과: 1. PCR에 의한 HBV DNA 양성은 107명 중 59명(55.1%)이 양성이었다. HBeAg/anti HBe의 발현 양태에 따라 음성/음성에서 2명(66.7%), 음성/양성에서 30명(41.1%), 양성/음성에서 24명(85.7%), 양성/양성에서는 3명(100%)에서 증폭되었다. 2. Multiplex PCR에서는 58명의 유전자형이 C형, 1명에서는 B형과 C형이 동반 출현하였다. 3. Genotype specific primer를 이용하여 각각 따로 PCR을 시행한 경우에 A형에 의하여 증폭된 예가 1예, B형에 의하여 증폭된 예가 1예, C형에 의하여 증폭된 예가 59예로 A형과 B형 모두가 C형에서 증폭된 예였다. 4. 한 쌍의 시발체에 의하여 증폭되었던 A형과 B형 및 C형의 일부에서 염기를 분석한 결과 모두 C 유전자형이었다. 결론: HBsAg이 양성인 제주 지역 주민의 HBV의 유전자형은 C형일 것으로 생각된다. Background/Aims: Hepatitis B virus (HBV) was classified into 8 genotypes by a sequence divergence in the entire genome designated from A o H. HBV genotypes have distinct geographic distributions. Recently, HBV genotypes have been partially found as influencing the clinical manifestation of chronic liver disease in hosts. In Korea, the distribution of HBV genotypes remains unclear. The aim of this study was to evaluate the prevalence of the HBV genotype on Jeju Island. Methods: Hepatitis B virus genotypes were evaluated among 107 hepatitis B carriers residing on Jeju Island. We used single PCR and multiplex-PCR assay with genotype-specific primer pairs for HBV genotypes A-F for the genotyping. Results: 1. Fifty nine samples (55%) were positive for HBV DNA. The positivity was different according to the pattern of HBeAg/anti-HBe expression, as -/-; 2/3 (66.7%), -/+; 30/73 (30%), +/-; 24/28 (85.7%) and +/+; 3/3 (100%). 2. In the single primer set of genotype-specific PCR, 59 samples (100%) were detected as genotype C and 2 (3%) were also detected as genotype A and B. 3. In multiplex-PCR, 58 samples (98%) were detected as genotype C and only one (2%) as a mixed pattern of genotype B and C. 4. When the PCR products were amplified with universal sense and genotype specific anti-sense from one genotype A, one B, and 2 C, all were included in genotype C. Conclusions: These results suggest that on Juju Island, almost all HBV genotypes are C.(Korean J Hepatol 2004;10:42-50)

        XML 저장 관리 시스템에서 효율적인 버전 관리 및 문서 저장 방안

        빠르게 변하는 정보화 사회에서 방대한 양의 문서 정보를 전자 문서로 만들고 관리하는 것은 필수적이다. 이러한 전자 문서를 표현하는 데 있어서 사용하는 문서 내에 포함된 모든 정보를 손실 없이 저장하고 관리하는데 적합한 언어가 전자 문서의 표준인 XML이다. 본 논문에서는 문서의 변경이 발행한 경우에 문서 전체가 아닌 변경이 발행한 내용만 버전을 부여하고 저장함으로써 저장 공간을 절약하였다. 그리고 문서의 변경 내용이 일정한 크기 이하이면 JOIN 연산을 생략할 수 있도록 시스템을 설계함으로써 JOIN연산으로 인한 시스템의 성능 저하를 줄여 효율적인 XML 문서 저장과 빠른 검색 및 버전 관리가 가능한 방안을 제시하고, 이를 적용한 문서 저장 관리 시스템을 구현하였다. In rapidly changing an information=oriented society, it is essential to control massive document information by electronic file, In relation to these electronic document, it is also important to keep and maintain all kinds of information without any losses. It should be allowed to trace previous contents as well as recently updated contents by controlling updated contents with version. For these, XML is recommendable. In this thesis, we intend to save the document storing space by saving only updated contents with version without saving whole documentation, when document is updated. In case of controlling the history of document update by version, we designed system so as to omit “JOIN operation” if document size is under a certainspecific size. Therefore, we implemented a new XML document repository system which is possible for quick search and efficient XML document saving by reducing perfomance deterioration caused by JOIN operation.
