Fabrication of Cu(In,Ga)Se2 solar cell with ZnS/CdS double layer as an alternative buffer

A ZnS/CdS double layer was developed to enhance the light transmittance by ZnS, while keeping the good heterojunction with CIGS by CdS layer. Through optimization of deposition process, very thin and uniform CdS layer was deposited to minimize the light blocking effect in short wavelength region. No cracks have been observed in the ZnS/CdS double layer. The optical transmittance of the ZnS/CdS double layer was as high as that of ZnS single layer. The short-circuit current of CIGS solar cell was increased with the ZnS/CdS layer. However, the fill factor was decreased compared to the CIGS solar cell with CdS single layer, suggesting a thinner ZnS is required. At present, the best cell has yielded an efficiency of 10.08%.

$Cu(In,Ga)Se_2$ (CIGS) 태양전지 기술은 1970년대 처음으로 소개된 이래 지속적인 기술적 진보를 통해 현재 소면적 유리 기판기준으로 세계최고효율 22.6%을 달성하였다. 최근에는 유리 기판뿐만 아니라 플렉서블 기판에도 적용되어 20%가 넘는 고효율이 유지됨으로써, 플렉서블 CIGS 박막태양전지의 BIPV로 응용에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 따라서 본 글에서는 플렉서블 CIGS 박막태양전지의 주요 요소 기술에 대해서 살펴보고, 국내외 연구 및 산업적 현황 및 향후 전망에 대해서 기술하고자 한다.

Recent research on visual scene understanding attempts to build a scene graph. A scene graph is a rich semantic representation ofthe objects and their pair-wise relationships in an environment. Most of the existing work has studied how to generate a 2D scene graphthat represents the objects and their relationships detected in a single image. A 2D scene graph is usually a partial description of only asingle state of the environment. Therefore, most of the existing approaches do not address the dynamics and uncertainty of 3D real-worldenvironments. This paper supposes both partially observable and dynamic 3D indoor environments that can be changed by an agent’sactions and tries to model the environmental changes with 3D scene graphs. The proposed system attempts to estimate the correct state ofa dynamic environment by combining state recognition based on image analysis with state prediction based on action models. As a resultof conducting lots of experiments with a large dataset collected from a virtual 3D indoor environment, AI2-THOR, we demonstrated thehigh performance of the proposed system.

In this paper, weather forecaster has been implemented, which provides three-day weather information for automated facility house. Designed weather forecaster is composed of a Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) module, a MCU(Micro controller Unit), a LCD, and a SD memory card. After receiving information about weather over the Wi-Fi, MCU in the device saves the information to a the SD memory card. Then it parses the saved information, provides it for the house and displays it on the LCD

3차원 가상 실내 환경을 위한 심층 신경망 기반의 장면 그래프 생성

Scene graph is a kind of knowledge graph that represents both objects and their relationships found in a image. This paper proposes a 3D scene graph generation model for three-dimensional indoor environments. An 3D scene graph includes not only object types, their positions and attributes, but also three-dimensional spatial relationships between them, An 3D scene graph can be viewed as a prior knowledge base describing the given environment within that the agent will be deployed later. Therefore, 3D scene graphs can be used in many useful applications, such as visual question answering (VQA) and service robots. This proposed 3D scene graph generation model consists of four sub-networks: object detection network (ObjNet), attribute prediction network (AttNet), transfer network (TransNet), relationship prediction network (RelNet). Conducting several experiments with 3D simulated indoor environments provided by AI2-THOR, we confirmed that the proposed model shows high performance. 장면 그래프는 영상 내 물체들과 각 물체 간의 관계를 나타내는 지식 그래프를 의미한다. 본 논문에서는 3차원 실내 환경을 위한 3차원 장면 그래프를 생성하는 모델을 제안한다. 3차원 장면 그래프는 물체들의 종류와 위치, 그리고 속성들뿐만 아니라, 물체들 간의 3차원 공간 관계들도 포함한다. 따라서 3차원 장면 그래프는 에이전트가 활동할 실내 환경을 묘사하는 하나의 사전 지식 베이스로 볼 수 있다. 이러한 3차원 장면 그래프는 영상 기반의 질문과 응답, 서비스 로봇 등과 같은 다양한 분야에서 유용하게 활용될 수 있다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 3차원 장면 그래프 생성 모델은 크게 물체 탐지 네트워크(ObjNet), 속성 예측 네트워크(AttNet), 변환 네트워크(TransNet), 관계 예측 네트워크(RelNet) 등 총 4가지 부분 네트워크들로 구성된다. AI2-THOR가 제공하는 3차원 실내 가상환경들을 이용한 다양한 실험들을 통해, 본 논문에서 제안한 모델의 높은 성능을 확인할 수 있었다.

CZTSSe has attracted intensive attentions as an earth-abundant absorber. Since the initial efficiency of 0.66% was reported, the world rocord of 12.6% was achieved by IBM and DGIST. IBM used a solution process for low cost CZTSSe deposition, while DGIST adopted a sputtering process which is suitable for scale-up production. Both approaches are based on precursor-deposition followed by postannealing. In term of reduction in fabricating cost, a simplier process could be more desirable. NREL reported >9% efficiency using one-step method. However, there are no progresses in device performance. It might be related to high-qaulity film growth. In this work, we focus on how to grow high-quality films using one-step method. It was found that film morphologies significantly depend on substrate temperatures because of volatile nature of Sn-Se compounds. The photovoltaic device with an optimized CZTSe film showed ~6.47%. Details on material and device characterizations would be discussed.

As the frequency of seismic disasters in Korea has increased rapidly since 2016, interest in systematic maintenance and crisis response technologies for structures has been increasing. A data-based leading management system of Lifeline facilities is important for rapid disaster response. In particular, the water supply network, one of the major Lifeline facilities, must be operated by a systematic maintenance and emergency response system for stable water supply. As one of the methods for this, the importance of the structural health monitoring(SHM) technology has emerged as the recent continuous development of sensor and signal processing technology. Among the various types of SHM, because all machines generate vibration, research and application on the efficiency of a vibration-based SHM are expanding. This paper reviews a vibration-based pipeline SHM system for seismic disaster response of water supply pipelines including types of vibration sensors, the current status of vibration signal processing technology and domestic major research on structural pipeline health monitoring, additionally with application plan for existing pipeline operation system.
