Objective: Seoul National University Bundang Hospital is the first full digital hospital with electronic medical record(EMR) system in Korea. We evaluated the user's satisfaction on the EMR system at 15 months from its beginning. Methods: A total of 105 doctors and 503 nurses participated in this study. The questionnaire was composed of four domains: user satisfaction between paper records and EMR, User perceived improvement of work efficiency with EMR, user interface satisfaction and advantage/ disadvantage of EMR. A Likert-type 5-point scale was used for the degree of satisfaction, with 5 indicating 'very satisfied.' Results: Doctors were more satisfied with EMR system than paper records, especially on editing (3.33 vs. 2.73, p<0.05) and retrieval (3.68 vs. 2.23, p<0.05). However, the degree of satisfaction was not significantly different from that of paper records in terms of input (3.22 vs. 3.03, p>0.05). Nurses were more satisfied with EMR system than paper records, e.g., editing (3.51 vs. 2.74, p<0.05), retrieval (4.07 vs. 2.51, p<0.05) and input (3.82 vs. 2.90, p<0.05). Also, doctors and nurses showed satisfaction for most of user interfaces. Conclusion: Users seem to be satisfied with the EMR system. EMR system should have a flexible system to improve the input system, the structured forms, and the standardized terminology according to the need of users. Objectives: Seoul National University Bundang Hospital, which is the first Stage 7 hospital outside of North America, has adopted and utilized an innovative and emerging information technology system to improve the efficiency and quality of patient care. The objective of this paper is to briefly introduce the major components of the SNUBH information system and to describe our progress toward a next-generation hospital information system (HIS). Methods: SNUBH opened in 2003 as a fully digital hospital by successfully launching a new HIS named BESTCare, “Bundang hospital Electronic System for Total Care”. Subsequently, the system has been continuously improved with new applications, including close-loop medication administration (CLMA), clinical data warehouse (CDW), health information exchange (HIE), and disaster recovery (DR), which have resulted in the achievement of Stage 7 status. Results: The BESTCare system is an integrated system for a university hospital setting. BESTCare is mainly composed of three application domains: the core applications, an information infrastructure, and channel domains. The most critical and unique applications of the system, such as the electronic medical record (EMR), computerized physician order entry (CPOE), clinical decision support system (CDSS), CLMA, CDW, HIE, and DR applications, are described in detail. Conclusions: Beyond our achievement of Stage 7 hospital status, we are currently developing a next-generation HIS with new goals of implementing infrastructure that is flexible and innovative, implementing a patient-centered system, and strengthening the IT capability to maximize the hospital value.

It is necessary to possess internal forces exceed internal forces of each member for steel structures display needed capacity, and this is a premise for design. Maximum internal forces become an index premise plasticity of composed members. Recently, many studies have performed to evaluate this. In this study, we are going to evaluate internal forces of L-shape joint element. Yield line theory apply to evaluation of internal forces. Yield line theory originated in plastic analysis of general plates has an advantage which it presents evaluation formula of internal forces. In this study, first of all, we present internal forces evaluation formula of yield line, plastic zone, yield line or plastic zone which has curvature, and using this, evaluate differences between L-shaped joint element which has rib and L-shaped joint element which does not has rib using connection of steel structures.
