Objectives In this study, we identified the symptoms of insomnia, anxiety, and depressed mood in newly diagnosed women breast and thyroid cancer patients. Methods The subjects of this study were 1794 women patients who visited the Ewha Womans University Cancer Center for Women. They included 1119 newly diagnosed primary breast cancer patients and 675 newly diagnosed primary thyroid cancer patients. The patients completed the National Cancer Center Psychological Symptom Inventory (NCC-PSI) during their first follow-up visit after surgery, before starting chemotherapy or radiotherapy. The NCC-PSI is composed of the modified distress thermometer (MDT) and the modified impact thermometer (MIT) for insomnia, anxiety, and depressed mood. Results Anxiety severity was found to be greater in breast cancer patients than in thyroid cancer patients. Significant levels of anxiety, depressed mood and insomnia were present in 28, 24.5, and 20.7% in all the subjects, respectively. Moreover, anxiety symptoms, depressed mood and insomnia interfered with the daily lives of 20, 18.4, and 14.2% of all the subjects, respectively. Dealing with anxiety (18.8%) was found to need the most help, followed by dealing with insomnia (8.9%) and depressed mood (8.7%). Conclusions A significant level of distress was found in about 40% of the total subjects. Nearly 30% of newly diagnosed breast cancer patients reported significant anxiety symptoms and interferences with daily living caused by anxiety, which most commonly needed special care. Early assessment and management of psychological distress, especially anxiety, in breast and thyroid cancer treatment are very important to establish integrated cancer care.

본 논문에서는 음성으로부터 감정을 인식하고 감성적인 운율로 음성 출력을 산출해 내는 시스템을 제안 한다. 음성적인 운율로부터 감정을 인식하기 위해서 퍼지룰(rule)을 이용한다. 본 논문에서 감정 인식 시스템은 음성 샘플들로 학습 데이터를 구축하고 이를 기반으로 하여 추출된 20 개의 특징 집합으로부터 가장 중요한 특징들을 자동적으로 선택한다. 화남, 놀람, 행복, 슬픔, 보통의 5가지 감정 상태를 구분하기 위하여 접근법에 기반한 퍼지를 이용하였다.
PACI 을 이용한 오염물질 제거 및 입자 특성에 관한 연구

This study is to investigate the floc structure and removal of turbidity and organic matter by PACI coagulation. The turbidity removal by PACI coagulation was obtained at larger pH range than alum coagulation. And the removal of organic matter was obtained at smaller pH range than that of turbidity. The organic matter was removed by the adsorption of A1(OH)₃ precipitates. Floc structure was characterized by measuring fractal dimension and volume diameter using AIA and SALLS. Fractal dimension measured by AIA did not show the different characteristics of floc produced in sweep floc and charge neutralization region. Using SALLS, flocs in sweep floc region were found to be larger size and fractal dimension than flocs in charge neutralization region. As pollutant removal increased, larger fractal dimension and size of floc were measured. SALLS method was found to be more useful method to characterize flocs in coagulation than AIA method.

In bio applications, high temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) at 30℃~40℃ is especially important for a temperature sensor. In this work, single phase-vanadium dioxide (VO₂) thin films for temperature sensor were fabricated by reactive DC magnetron sputtering and post-annealing method. VO<SUB>x</SUB> thin films deposited by reactive sputtering in a controlled Ar/O₂ atmosphere can be transformed into single phase-VO₂ films by post-annealing in N₂ atmosphere. The grown VO₂ thin films have a moderate resistance at room temperature and very high TCR at room temperature and transition temperature, respectively 2.88%/K and 15.8%/K. A detailed structural characterization is performed by SEM, XRD and RBS. SEM morphology image indicates that grains of fabricated VO₂ films are homogeneous and ball-like in shape. A fact that the films contain only single phase-VO, is obtained by XRD and RBS analysis. After deposition, the sensors were fabricated by micromachining technology. Silicon nitride membrane and black nickel were used for a thermal isolation structure and absorption layer. In the vicinity of room temperature, the TCR of sensors was enough high to apply for bio sensors.
